Gasket trotted up a mountain humming and dancing at her success. She was finally taken seriously. Now she had everything. That won't stop her. The PAW patrol were finally catching up but did she care? Nope. Nothing could bring her down.
Then something brought her down. Gasket stopped and dropped her items. Literal flames were on her eyes. She watched from a distance as her dreamed of mansion was up in flames. Fire fighters, police officers, and ambulances were there. Looks like a shootout happened. She watched as they took in 10 of her men and rest... you know. EMT's aided wounded policemen. She backed up in anger. She turned and ran as far as possible. She saw a welcoming face hidden behind some trees. "Oh! Henry you're okay." Gasket huffed tiredly.
He simply nodded. "Okay we can turn this back around." Gasket assured.
He dropped his head and shook it. "Gasket, you turned you're back on the world and you're friends. That's exactly what I'm gonna do to you." He said handing her some cash. Gasket was shocked. "W-what? You can't leave now we're basically done all of this together!" Gasket replied desperately trying to convince him to stay.
He sighed. "It was simply work...nothing else. You can't pay me I'm out." He replied walking into the woods. He paused. "Word of advice, you create your own enemies." He smirked.
Gasket gave it thought. Only people she's pissed off are the paw patrol... Dwayne and Hubcap... she started her treck back towards town filled with vengeance. She felt her pup pack and realized she had 5 of those little spheres. She started to think of what she could do with these. She clearly can't just walk in and take out the PAW Patrol. She's learned that first hand.
Chase paced back and forth sighing. He thought about the day Gasket broke in. He just now starting to realize the gravity of the fail. "Why you so tensed up?" Ryder asked immediately showing his concern.
"I think we messed up... we should've waited on telling the police on her hideout." Chase replied.
Ryder tilted his head. "How come?"
"Ryder, if you're having fun breaking in and some team of immature dogs strips everything and everyone away from you would you not be mad?" Chase questioned.
"How do you know she lost everyone?" Ryder questions.
"Because she has nothing to offer anyone. They are unloyal and would leave you're side in an instant." Chase replied.
"Uh huh, why are you so worked up about it?" Ryder asked. Chase took some deep breathes. He heard his radio buzz. "Officer Chase?" A woman said.
Chase picked up the walkie talkie. "Yeah?"
"We're gonna need you over, just you." She said.
Ryder looked at Chase. "I have to go." Chase states. "I'll be listening." Ryder joked.
Chase nodded knowing that Ryder probably put some tiny microphones somewhere when him and Zuma were in for questioning.
Rocky strummed his guitar while skye listened. "You could use some work but it's pretty good." Skye complimented.
"Date night, haven't had on of these for awhile." Rocky sighed.
Skye rolled her eyes at the exaggeration. "We've been dating for six months while a criminal runs loose, we'll have more once she's done." Skye assured knowing she's on the brink of getting caught.
Rocky nodded knowing she is right. "Nowhere to hide nowhere to run, she really should've had a backup plan. If I were her I'd just leave the city." Rocky said. Skye nodded in agreement. They were on a secluded hill having a picnic.
"We both know she won't...but you gotta not let sweetie push you around like that...I don't like it." Skye said bringing it up.
Rocky sighed. "We both know if I piss of Sweetie Chase will be all over me. He can be quite annoying." Rocky replied. "I thought you were stronger than him?" Skye teased. "Correction! I denied being stronger than him." He replied.
Skye rolled her eyes know she'll never win an argument against Rocky.
Ryder sat down with the 3 criminals and Rubble. All of the other pups were out with their parter. He watched them play a game called sorry and Sweetie was winning by a long shot. Ryder watched the way she rolled the dice and it was clear she had tactic. Ryder was almost certain he knew how it works. Rubble and hubcap were having lots of fun. They didn't realize how much they had in common. Dwayne just sat there putting up with it. He was extremely lanky. Ryder went upstairs to see what they were talking about.
Chase walked into the eating area and was instantly directed over to the room nobody was aloud to go into. In there he met 3 other dogs. A Doberman, bloodhound and a German Shepherd. "Pretty boy!" The Doberman joked. Chase rolled his eyes knowing this might be your stereotypical wannabe bully. "Tracking team, this is Chase you're 4th member and arguably the closest one to Gasket." A man said as he stepped out of a shadow startling Chase. "I never got to know why I'm here." Chase said.
"You didn't tell him?" The German Shepherd asked. That surprised Chase even more. The German Shepherd is a girl. "Officer Chase-
-Only officer?" The Doberman chuckled.
"Everyone introduce yourselves." The man ordered.
"I'm blackout." The Doberman said.
"I'm trusty... get it because of my nose." The bloodhound nervously said.
"And I'm simply rose."
"I'm-
"We know who you are." The man said cutting Chase off. Chase wasn't very fond of this group so far. He gave them a motion to follow him. They walk into a small room that wasn't very lit. "Alright, Tracking Team, our goal is to hunt down Gasket while she's vulnerable. You 4 will sit on opposite end of the city patrolling." The man said.
"And I can't say no?" Chase asked.
"Nope, you have to do this." The man cockily smiled. Chase sighed. They followed the man to the other side of the room. He showed them their gear. It consisted of a cowboy had, a pup pack which clearly is visible downgrade to Ryder's version, night vision goggles and a vest. The gear was all black with some bits of white. "You're vehicles are outside." The man said.
Chase walked out not saying a word to his fellow teammates. He didn't even feel like being there. "So, what's you're connection with Gasket?" The German Shepherd asked. He didn't answer, he walked by into his assigned car.
The next day
Most of the pups were in a good mood. Chase had already left and the pups were hosting an interview with the criminals and Sweetie.
"Sweetie, we are here on behalf of the adventure bay news station and we would like to know how a thief could all of a sudden be helping catch another thief. Could this be a way to take down rising criminals to keep you're spot?" Skye asked holding a microphone.
"Uh yes..." sweetie jokingly replied.
"Uh huh."
"Now hubcap, how do you feel that the paw patrol arrested you and now you're working with them." Skye said switching over to hubcap. "I forgive them, I mean I was the one committing a crime." Hubcap replied.
"Okay we'll be going on a commercial break." Skye said to nothing. The pups were the audience.
Gasket did her usual sit on a rooftop, she noticed she wasn't the only one on the rooftop. She could see what seemed to be a bloodhound watching the area. She didn't realize she had been drinking so much. Next to her were empty cans of beer. She noticed the bloodhound moving to a different spot. She wondered what he was looking for. She picked up one of the spheres and wondered what would happen if someone were to consume it.
Chase sat on a rooftop in the very far end of Adventure bay. He lazily scanned around knowing she wouldn't be here. Nobody would be here.
"So Chase, wanna answer my question from yesterday?"
He sighed. "Nothing else to do he mumbled." He turned on the walkie talkie. "Yeah...we uh, we had a thing." He replied. "Well I had a thing, I doubt she did." He added.
"Seems interesting, how mopey were you?" The voice asks curiously.
"Yeah the thing is that it was for like 2 days, I heard something I shouldn't have heard. I didn't really care to much." Chase explained.
"Yep, totally." She replied.
"What?"
"You said you didn't care too much, yet here you are trying to track her down."
Chase didn't reply. He didn't have to believe her. He thought of an honest comeback. "Not like I wanna be here." He replied. He was going to keep going until he was interrupted. "Hey mister." A young voice called out. Chase looked off the edge to see a young all black shepsky. "Hey there." Chase replied tipping his hat forward.
4 other pups ran next to him. "It's a cowboy." One whispered.
"I'm far from a cowboy." Chase replied knowing they broke the law quite a bit.
"Hello Chase, I was told I can find you here, you were the closest one I could find." A female Germany Shepherd said. "Names Dolly, weird name I know." She chuckled.
"Pleasure to meet you...I don't think we've met though." Chase replied.
"Yeah I've met some of your friends awhile back, we're detectives and we're here to help."another voice said.
"Oh boy..." chase mumbled. He started to question why bring the back up now when they need it the least. "I'm detective Atticus and my wife introduced herself already. We had to bring the kiddos along." He nervously chuckled as they played together. They were pretty big, maybe the size of Zuma. "So I'm assuming Gasket brings you here." Chase said.
They both nodded. "Where did you meet my friends at?" Chase asked.
"Katie's, they actually watched over these guys for a bit." Dolly smiled. Chase looked at them and they seemed to have a constant happy expression. He didn't under how since everything he heard about kids was they were annoying.
"You mind if they can stay at the lookout? Katie's is always a second option but I think they could learn more and be safer there." Dolly asks.
Chase didn't want to rush into anything. "I- lemme talk to Ryder first because we sort of have criminals wondering around." Chase replied.
"Excuse me what?" Atticus asked.
Chase took out the ear piece he received. "Hey Ryder I got two detectives right here and they need find a place to put their kids somewhere safe. And they said they have met some of the pups already." Chase spoke.
"Sure... we're going to have a full lookout." Ryder mumbled before hanging up.
Chase gave them a nod and they headed off. Chase sat back down in boredom and look off into town. Chase put the earpiece back in.
"Yeah the new guy doesn't seem fun at all, how bout when we're done with our shift-
"-Blackout... when will you stop hitting on me? We're friends nothing else." Rose responded with a long sigh.
A third voice decided to cut in. "Will you two st-
"Trusty?" The Doberman said in confusion.
"Where's Chase? He the closest." Blackout asked starting to get a little worried.
"Probably brooding in his own channel." Rose replied sarcastically.
"No im right here... I'll go look for him." Chase mumbled.
When he got to the scene he was shocked and confused. So many other thoughts came to his head. "He have a new missing persons case." Chase said into the earpiece.
