Chapter 7
Disclaimer I don't own My Hero Academia.
Katsuki Bakugo sat in his middle school class glaring at anyone who dared to talk to him. In his mind a mantra was going through his head 'I will be number one' but he knew it wasn't true, and that was driving him insane. If it wasn't for the fact that the person he truly thought was number one was so freaking strong that it made him look like a joke he probably would have murdered the person.
Izuku Midoriya, a childhood friend who turned out to be an obstacle in his way. Ever since the green haired child awakened his quirk the boy had been stopping Bakugo from showing his real talents.
'So what if he wanted to train his quirk on other kids, and show them who was boss, Midoriya didn't have to go and stop him every time. If it wasn't for the kids' damn quirk he could have shown him who was in charge.'
In a way several students had been extremely grateful that anytime Bakugo's temper flared up he'd be stopped by Midoriya covering the bullies hands in water. Sweat wasn't much use when it was wiped away before Bakugo could control it.
To Bakugo the day Inko Midoriya died felt like a fresh breeze to him. Izuku had disappeared, and nobody stopped him from taking over the school.
Briefly the blond bomber's quirk exploded silencing the rowdy class. It was when he got home that day that Bakugo briefly missed Mrs. Midoriya. He found his mother looking at the tv with a blank stare and a bottle of alcohol in her hand. On the floor in front of the couch were a few empty bottles as well.
Mitsuki Bakugo didn't handle alcohol well at all, and Katsuki already felt a shiver run through his body. His mother never actually beat him, but she could yell at him like nobody else in the world.
He was about to sneak into his room, and let the woman have her space when the news showed a live broadcast of a water tunnel forming in mid air.
"Midoriya!" as Katsuki said that a small explosion went off in his hand. Naturally his mother heard his voice, and all the anger inside of it.
The shouting match between the two was so loud that their neighbors called the police.
Three hours later, both mother and son were placed into separate cells until they both calmed down. The officers on duty reported that Mitsuki was just emotional distress after her friend died, and needed a place to sober up. Her son though had been releasing small explosions presumably because he had a problem with someone on the tv. The boy's threats of violence had caused the cops to taze the fourteen year old, and place him in a cell to calm down.

The class bell started ringing right when Bakugo started thinking more about Midorya. His mother had tried to take the green haired obstacle in and raise him, but after the police report of her and her son yelling at each other the case was closed. Not that it really mattered. Izuku Midoriya had run away, and nobody seemed to be able to bring him back.
The sound of a Hero report on somebody's phone drew his attention.
"Yesterday reports of the rabbit hero Mirko fighting Water King were confirmed. Video footage showing the two have a friend if extremely aggressive spar has boosted morale around Japan.
While it seems that Water King can't beat Mirko in close combat the footage shows that the rogue hero can still beat her with his quirk as shown when he restrained the hero mid air with a sphere of water.
Not much is known about the Hero Water King, and seeing him now coming out more into the world has made people feel safer.
For those that don't know about Water King please read or watch our past videos of his exploits.
Water King if you're watching this let me tell you that Japan is grateful for your contribution to our shores."
The sound of a students phone break froze the students in the hall. Bakugo had once again destroyed a student's property. Not that the bomber cared.
All he could do was think of Midoriya, 'Water King people called him. If he had the opportunity he knew he would hesitate for a second to kill the hero. It was all his fault that Bakugo wasn't more successful. Midoriya hogged all the spotlight saving people and fish alike. The public liked him, but Katsuki knew the truth. Izuku Midoriya was an arrogant good for nothing child who couldn't stop showing off. What right did the brat have to stop him from training his quirk, and why did his mother have to constantly cheer when his nemesis showed up on the news. It was all Midoriya fault, but that would soon change. He was going to get into UA, the teachers there would train him to be the number one hero, and then he would kill Midoriya for being a selfish prick.'
Students backed away from Bakugo in fear as the boy let an evil smile cover his face.
Izuku Midoriya meanwhile was getting his ass handed to him as Mirko once again got tired of teaching, and started training him in hand to feet combat. If he hadn't figured out how to augment his strength Izuku was sure that Mirko would have already broken his arms as he tried to stop another one of her kicks.
He couldn't control water in other peoples bodies, but he could control water on his own. By drinking more water his body would retain it. He then could use it to add more padding to his limbs, boost his muscles, and reinforce his bone structure.
He still wasn't as strong as Mirko, and he would never gain the same strength as All Might, but if he ever found himself trapped without water around him 'Highly unlikely as he'd need to be in space for that to happen' at least he could boost himself physically to possibly escape his opponent.
Another kick from Mirko was blocked only for his body to be pushed ten feet back.
Had he known that learning two years of missed education with Mirko would cause him to have a sore body all the time he definitely would have said no. His body hadn't ever felt this worn down as he always engaged in combat from afar.
Another kick and another block had Izuku tumbling through the sand.
"Mirko tell me again why I can't just dodge you, but have to keep blocking your kicks."
Mirko smirked at the famous Water King panting on the ground in front of her. "It to help you with your pain tolerance, and to teach you how to block a physical attack so you don't hurt yourself later if a villain ever actually fought against you."
Seeing Izuku force his body back into position for another round sent a wave of excitement through her. He didn't back down from her training, and she knew that even as his body was being beaten by her legs his mind and quirk were controlling his domain. Her newest friend could fight her all day, and still be a hero for Japan's coast.
Just as Mirko was going to launch herself forward for another round her phone went off. With her being around Izuku all the time. Her assistant had insisted she take a phone with her in case she was needed.
Taking the phone out she answered the call. "Hello."
"Mirko I need your help! I have people calling, my email is pack, and I have reporters outside our building. All of them want an interview. They want to talk to you and Water King, and they are refusing to leave."
Mirko could actually hear the reporters outside shouting to talk with her. Who knew that the one time Izuku and her fought on a public beach would cause a media storm like this.
"Mirko, are you listening to me! I need you here to calm everything down. I literally see three helicopters flying above our agency!"
Mirko pulled her phone away as her assistant kept yelling to her about how the media was surrounding her agency. There was only one thing she could do now.
"Hey Izuku let's take a break and eat lunch on your boat. I don't think I'll be returning to my place for a while."
Izuku flopped onto his back. Water rushed from the ocean behind him to make a bed while a chair was made for Mirko. He didn't care about giving interviews. All he wanted to do was sit down and learn how to do math, at least then his only ache would be in his head, and not his whole body.
Yamamoto looked down at a report on his desk. It was more of a petition than a report. Thirteen countries in Africa were asking for Water Hero to help them with a drought they were experiencing. The kicker was that they were willing to pay Water Hero twice his weight in Jewels.
Since when had he the Hero Association President for Japan become Izuku Midoriya secretary? The most aggravating part of the whole deal was that to save people's lives he'd have to contact Midoriya, schedule everything, and manage the whole thing like a hero secretary all because he wouldn't sleep soundly at night if he didn't.
Luckily for him he now had a way to contact Izuku without having to travel all the way to a beach.
One talk with his secretary Hana for Mirko agency number, and he was on the phone waiting for it to be answered.
Five minutes later a slightly irritated Hero President finally got through.
"Hello, this is Yam-"
Yamamoto didn't even get to finish before a woman's furious voice came through from the other side.
"Look I don't fucking care who you are, or what company your with. Mirko isn't taking interviews right now, and if I hear one more person asking for Water King I am going to trace this call and show up at your door to kill you. So stop fucking calling this agency I've had enough, you hear me I have had enough! I swear to kami if I have one more damn reporter or kid ask about Water King I'll kill them!"
Yamamoto sat his phone down on the desk with a lost look on his face. All the while the woman kept raving about killing anyone who contacted her. He didn't know if he should call the police and have the woman arrested for threats against him or irritation for having to travel to another beach to get a hold of Izuku. After a few moments of thought and a few very interesting threats from the phone had Yamamoto calling the police while he told Hana that he'd be going to the beach.
'Maybe he could get Midoriya to give him ten percent of the gems. Also maybe he should invite the boy out to eat. Yes a very fattening meal would be just the thing before his trip to Africa.'
Mirko had just finished eating lunch with Izuku when her phone went off again. Considering that it had been silent for a bit longer then it had been when her assistant kept calling her Mirko decided to answer.
"Hello!' as she listened to her secretary her cheerful smile soon turned concerned, and then full blown laughter erupted from her.
Izuku's concerned eyes watching her only made her laugh harder. "Izuku my secretary just got arrested for making death threats to the Hero Association President! I knew she was the best!"
Mirko just watched with more concern as Mirko got up and started dancing while talking about how awesome her agency was to have a secretary that would even threaten the Hero President.
For a second Midoriya thought Mirko was done when she stopped dancing, but the rabbit hero rushed to him, and pulled him out of his chair. Her words were hard to make out when she was spinning him around, but she still heard her.
"I've got the most badass secretary in the whole world now, and everyone is going to know it Izuku. All the reporters apparently saw her get arrested, and now she's freaking out. How awesome can today get?"
Midoriya's vision was about to go dark when he felt Yamamoto yelling on a beach for him.
Considering Mirko had her arms firmly wrapped around him Izuka just decided that they both could meet the man. A little bit of water control had both of them sliding through a water tunnel.
It was a much calmer Mirko who exited that tunnel with him.
Yamamoto's blue skin face brightened when he saw the pair.
"Ah Midoriya and Mirko, just the people I want to see."
Mirko was confused as Yamamoto handed Izuku a folder. 'Why was the Hero President talking to Midoriya.
Mirko confusion didn't stop Yamamoto from telling them about the countries in Africa requesting Water Kings help. "So you see Midoriya you can help a lot of people, and there's even a reward now if you decided that I should deserve a small reward for bring this to you I wouldn't-"
Sadly for the President Mirko could already read what the guy was trying to do.
"Don't worry Mr. Yamamoto, I'll go with Izuku here and make sure that he gets the exact amount of gems he deserves." she then turned to the young hero "Come on Izuku lets go have a huge dinner before you take us to Africa."
She then proceeded to drag the water hero into the ocean where he returned them to his boat.
As they arrived at the boat Izuku looked at her a little lost. "Hey Mirko, why are you coming with me?"
Mirko's bunny tail twitched and her ears stood up in excitement. "I'm going so that you get the exact amount of gems compared to your body wait. You don't have to worry about a thing. I'll make sure you get the right reward while you help water the countries in need. Also since I'm helping you out, and I'm your teacher I'll be taking ten percent of the reward." The beautiful woman clapped her hands and headed for the kitchen. "Come on Water King, we're going to have a huge dinner tonight!"
Izuku scratched the back of his head completely lost. 'Sure twice his weight in gems seemed like a lot, but he already had a cave full of treasure that he recovered from sunken ships. Oh well it would be an adventure he could share with his fellow hero.'
