So, I don't know if you guys want an apology or what, but I should hopefully be back to writing. I'm just going to get back to where I left off, I don't think you guys really care for an explanation and just want some new chapters, so let's get to it.
Guys, the response from the last chapter was awesome. Thanks so much and I am really glad you guys are enjoying it so far. I am still getting followers and favorites still, and it's been a while since I updated. Thanks again.
Answer time!
One of the guest responses was pretty spot on about one of their future hobbies so I thought that was pretty awesome. We will see it more in this chapter.
TehStorm- I do plan for Tadashi to have the limelight for a while, as Izuku's story in the anime doesn't really start until UA, and we have a fair bit until then. I do plan to lessen it when Izuku's story starts but he will still be an important character when the time comes. There will be specific chapters dedicated to him and Izuku, and there will be times where they switch off in a chapter. Tadashi will be more fleshed out in later chapters but since he's a kid I needed to start somewhere, and the brother quality was the focal point to get the ball running.
That seemed to be the most important responses from the reviews so let's go!
Also, I obviously don't own MHA, but I did make the OC's. Not much of an accomplishment but whatever. I'm pretty sure I needed to say that somewhere. I don't know, don't want to get sued or anything like that.

ALL MIGHT
^Do I actually need this or is it pretty self-explanatory?
During the following weeks after the Midoriya family had had their conversation about their futures, nothing major changed for any of the family members.
Inko had stuck to her promise and had started researching further into her son's goal, looking up martial arts, hero's life stories, and anything that could give her two sons an edge to becoming heroes. She had yet to find anything definite, but a few options seemed noteworthy and she planned on looking further into them. These options were for the far future, but it was better to be prepared now than later.
Izuku was still too young to do anything drastic in terms of future growth, as his body and mind were still too immature to develop anything substantial yet. He continued to watch different heroes on the internet, psyching himself up as he continued to think of his future. Izuku had even made two lists of long-term goals for the future. One was the steps he needed to take to become a hero, while the other were things he wanted to accomplish as a hero.
On the first list, he had put:
1. Get as strong as All-Might.
2. Get good at fighting.
3. Get into UA High.
4. Meet All-Might!
5. Become a Hero!
On the bottom of the list were a few pictures of an older-looking Izuku and All-Might doing hero poses as they stood over what looked to be villains. On the second list he had only put two-step:
1. Become a hero with Tadashi.
2. Help Tadashi, somehow.
And Instead of a drawing on the bottom of this list, there was only a single photo instead, and on that photo was Izuku and Tadashi at the local beach near Musutafu. Their hair was soaked from the water and was draped across their faces, partially covering their smiling faces as they looked into the camera. The picture was taken the day before they had gone to the doctors, and it was the day that everything had changed for Izuku, both for the worse and the better. Izuku had put the picture there to remind him of what he wanted to accomplish and who was there to help him reach that goal. And while there wasn't a whole lot he could do at the moment; he wanted the concept to always be there, whether he started now, or in the future.
As for Tadashi, nothing related to heroes had yet to pique his interest, but that hadn't stopped him from finding other things that had sparked his fascination in the last few weeks.
A few weeks earlier…
After Children's Weeks had ended, Tadashi's school planned on making a musical performance in which all the kids in Grade 1 would either play an instrument, dance, or sing while the rest of the school and their families would watch. Today, Tadashi's class was currently in the music classroom, where he and the rest of his classmates would be trying out the different instruments that the school had to offer. Most of the instruments were simple instruments like recorders and tambourines, but there were a few more advanced instruments laying around as well. Many of the kids gravitated towards the simpler instruments but a few brave kids went to the other instruments. All the while, Tadashi walked around the room, trying to find an instrument that would attract his interest.
After around ten minutes of walking around and trying the various instruments, Tadashi had yet to find anything that he wanted to play so instead, he chooses to sit down on the far side of the classroom as he watched and listened to the rest of his classmates. Various sounds rang throughout the room as his classmates played their instruments, with different pitches and tones randomly competing against each other for the spotlight. By far, it was one of the worst sounds Tadashi had ever heard, but he continued to bear with it until the class ended, as he had nowhere else to go. After what seemed like an eternity, but in reality, was only a few minutes, a magnificent sound broke through the cacophony of different noises and quickly grabbed Tadashi's attention.
To Tadashi, the sounds were beautiful and relaxing, and it completely blocked all the other noises coming from his classmates, all he could hear were the slow pings of the instrument. He slowly sat up from where he was sitting and started to follow the noise. Tadashi bobbed and weaved through his classmates, avoiding waving arms, swinging instruments, and the occasional running teacher. As he got closer to the sound, he could see the music teacher sitting on a small stool as she moved her fingers on top of the unknown object. With each press of her finger, a small noise would come out of the object, and every time she stepped on one of the pedals, the sound seemed to echo, creating a slightly different noise than before. Before he realized it, Tadashi had walked up to the music teacher and intensely watched her continue to play the unknown instrument.
After a few minutes of Tadashi continuing to listen to the music, the teacher finally stopped her playing to look over her shoulder to look at Tadashi. "Yes? Is there anything I can help you with dear?" As she said this, she swiveled around her chair to face Tadashi fully.
"I didn't really have any questions; I just really enjoyed the music you were playing on that," Tadashi then pointed to the instrument before he continued speaking again, "and I just wanted to keep listening before class ended."
At Tadashi's response, the music teacher let out a small smile and moved slightly on her seat so that there was a small space next to her. She patted the now empty spot beside her as she spoke, "well, why don't you sit next to me so that I can continue playing while I answer your questions." Tadashi merely nodded at the response and sat down beside the teacher as he watched her return to playing music on the instrument.
"For starters, this instrument is called a piano, more specifically an upright piano. The way you play it is by pressing down on the different keys to make different melodies. The keys on the left make a deeper tone, and the keys on the right are higher pitched." As she said this, she pressed keys on both sides of the piano to demonstrate the different pitches they made.
"Each key is connected to a small hammer that hits an even smaller string, thus producing the sound you hear before you." The music teacher gently opened the top latch of the piano so that Tadashi could see the pianos' inner workings. As he stood on the stool, looking down into the piano, the teacher played a few keys, letting Tadashi see the hammer and strings in use.
Tadashi was utterly fascinated by the piano, not only because of the beautiful sounds it made but also by the complexity of the actual instrument. From the outside, it looked somewhat plain to him compared to some other instruments in the room, but by looking into the inner mechanics of the instrument, he knew that he was completely wrong on his original assessment. After a few minutes of Tadashi intensely watching the music teacher play a small song while she explained the mechanics of the song; the music teacher stopped and looked down at Tadashi and asked, "Would you like to try dearie?"
Tadashi nodded his head vigorously at the question as if not answering soon enough would deny him his chance of trying. At his response, the teacher moved her hands away from the piano and gently grabbed Tadashi's hands over to the instrument. She placed his fingers on specific keys and pressed down on his fingers to play a small melody.
At the reaction of the piano to his fingers, Tadashi let out a large smile in happiness at his small achievement. They did the action a few more times before the teacher removed her hands and let Tadashi try the melody on his own, talking him through the process for his benefit before he tried it by himself. The first couple of times Tadashi had made some mistakes, usually, those involving pressing the wrong key at the wrong time, but each time Tadashi made a mistake, the music teacher would tell him the proper key and praise him for what he had done right.
Finally, after the fourth time messing up, Tadashi had completed the small melody without any mistakes. He continued to play the melody a few more times, trying to get a little bit faster than the last time without making a mistake. During one of these practices, the music teacher had also begun to play on the other side of the piano, playing a different melody that seemed to mix with the one Tadashi was playing.
When Tadashi finished the short melody, the music teacher moved her hand to where Tadashi's had been and began to play both the melodies at the same time, intermixing the two sounds into an actual song, the same song that Tadashi had heard earlier.
After the music teacher finished the small song, she again looked down at Tadashi, and again asked, "would you like to try again dear?" And with the same response as before, Tadashi began to play the piano under his new favorite teacher's guidance.
Following the next few days, Tadashi would practice the piano with the music teacher, now known as Aika Kondo, during his classes practice days for the performance. Tadashi's interest in practicing the piano had little to do with the actual performance, and more because he found a general liking to playing the instrument. During those days, Ms. Kondo had taught him a few more short songs but had mostly taught him about reading sheet music and understanding the different notes.
Tadashi enjoyed learning the new songs more than the actual fundamentals of the sheet music but understood why the other information was important, especially if he planned on continuing to practice the piano, which he definitely was.
After a few more days of him practicing with Ms. Konda, she had asked him if he wanted to come practice on the piano during his lunch, on the condition that she would supervise him during those times. He had rapidly agreed to the idea and had spent the last week of his lunches practicing the piano with Ms. Koda.
During one of these lunch practices, Ms. Koda had given Tadashi a piece of sheet of music that had included vocals, which had slightly surprised Tadashi, as he had yet to practice anything that included other instruments or vocals.
At Tadashi's confused face, Ms. Koda had directed him to play the song, and when he did, she began to sing along with the music. At first, it was slightly difficult for Tadashi to play the piano while also playing along to the singing, but after a few initial mistakes, he had begun to get the hang of the concept. They had practiced the song several times before Tadashi too began to sing along to the song.
To his amazement, he enjoyed singing along to the piano and had completely forgotten Ms. Koda as he continued to sing along to the piano. If he had seen Ms. Koda he would have seen a knowing smile on her face as she had stopped singing to watch Tadashi fully emerge himself into the song.
During some of their earlier practices, Aika had noticed that Tadashi had a habit of humming along with the music and had wanted to see if he also had any talent in singing. Although humming doesn't always implicate singing talent, the way Tadashi could easily match the tone and pitch of the music had given Aika a strong conviction that he could, and not surprisingly, Tadashi could sing!
Although Tadashi's singing was not on the same level of skill as his ability to play the piano; which was extremely good for a six-year-old, she could see him being very good in the future if he kept practicing, of which she planned on helping as much as possible.
It wasn't often that a child would have a large interest in music or singing at an early age nowadays. Most kids often dreamed of being heroes before they even thought of something as wonderful as music and would only think about the concept after their dreams were crushed about being heroes. Aika had been one of those children and had regretted the decision when she found out her love of music after the fact, but seeing Tadashi's skill in music made her want to guide him in a way that nobody else had in her childhood. She wanted to cultivate Tadashi's skill and if he did decide to go further into music, then she would take immense pleasure in knowing that she helped someone reach a goal they had never realized they had.
'Let's just hope that he doesn't get stage fright, I would hate to put in all the effort of going through all the different songs that the school will be using for the performance and for him to get stage fright!' I should probably tell him soon that I signed him up as a co-pianist for the performance, hopefully, he doesn't flip out!' All of this was going through Aiko's head as she continued to be lost to the music and her own thoughts.
Soon enough, the music had stopped and Aika had yet to notice, that is until a small nudge from Tadashi released her from her reflection. Slightly embarrassed at being caught daydreaming, Aiko quickly went to the next song that she wanted Tadashi to learn, her cheeks pink as she played the new melody for Tadashi.
A month had passed since that day, and Tadashi had spent most of his free time either practicing the piano or singing or spending time with his family. There hadn't been any large breaks from school, so he had yet to see Nejire again, but she had called their house a few times after school. During these phone calls, they would talk about their days, bringing up anything new that had happened to them from when they had last talked. During one of these phone calls, Tadashi had told her about his new hobby and Nejire had been thrilled about it, asking a million and a half questions on the subject, and had asked him if she could listen to him when she came over next. Sadly, he had told her that he did not have his own piano, but if she wanted, she could come to his school's performance, where he would be playing the piano with Ms. Koda. She had happily agreed and had rushed to her parents for their permission on the matter.
Both of Nejire's parents had agreed, and all three, along with Yuriko would be coming to the performance. Tadashi had become a bit worried at hearing that Nejire's parents would be coming to, but Nejire had tried calming him down saying that they mainly wanted to come so that they could meet him and his family, but that only seemed to make him even more nervous. Luckily, the performance wasn't for a couple more weeks, so Tadashi had some time to try and calm down on the subject. It isn't often you meet your best friends' parents after already becoming friends, so Tadashi hoped they weren't too mad on the subject…
As Tadashi continued to have a mental breakdown in his head on the topic, the rest of the Midoriya family were sitting down at the table having a nice dinner. Izuku was animatedly discussing a new hero he had seen on the tv, while Inko smiled at her son's enthusiasm and occasionally asked her question about the hero. All in all, it was a pretty normal dinner experience for the Midoriya family and would have continued to have been a normal dinner, except for the sudden interruption from the phone.
[Ring][Ring][Ring]…
With the sudden noise of the phone, Tadashi's mental debate was broken, and he started to get up from the table to answer the call, with the call most likely being Nejire. Before he could leave the table, Inko raised herself from her chair and swiftly picked up the phone as she gave a stern glare to Tadashi that practically screamed, 'sit down, and eat your food.' Now that the phone was answered, and not wanting to invoke his mother's wraith, Tadashi quickly sat back down, but looked towards his mother expectedly, as she answered the phone.
"Hello?"
Although the boys were a distance away from the phone, they could both hear the somewhat deep voice from the receiver as they answered their mother.
"Hello, Inko."
"Hisashi?!"
Boom, probably not a good spot to end, but I wanted to get this out and half of this was written before I went on the long Hiatus.
So, Tadashi found his new hobbies! I hope it wasn't too rushed, but I wanted to get it out there before I went further. I very briefly mentioned Tadashi's humming in previous chapters, so it was not totally out of the blue. I know that likes and dislikes can sometimes happen suddenly, and I wanted to show that with Tadashi just getting that epiphany in music. Sometimes something just clicks!
I am also not musically talented at all, so if I say anything wrong or slightly incorrect, I apologize now in advance.
How was the First chapter back? Hope you guys like it. I have some suggestions I wanted to go by you guys before I introduce them, so you will see them in the upcoming chapter. I won't give a specific day but expect it this month at least!
