Reviewers:
ParadoxTheory374: Thank you for your support! I'll try to tone down Tiamat, but try to understand that they are only playing around. It's only there for comic relief anyway. Thank you for the review though!
mannegocio: Great idea! I think I already found someone for the job; I'm sure you know of him anyway. He's a certain pedophile named Hisoka. Thank you for your support and the review!
Elfrieden: Thank you for your support! I'll try to have an update schedule, but it's very difficult with school and all that. I'll try to upload one chapter two weeks - month
Chronosign: Thank you for the correction! And yes, I think Hisoka would fit that role perfectly. The problem is is that he's a big pedophile.

NOW ONTO THE STORY!
Poof!
'Is that everything I need hm.' Deidara got into a thinking pose of what to bring to fight against the Troupe. He of course got the essentials every ninja needs, but it felt like he was missing something, something that defined who he truly was. Then, Deidara started banging his head on the wall. "What the hell am I thinking, of course I forgot something!"
He pulled out a different scroll that contained his most valuable item...
Clay...
He raised his hand in the air to put his clay in all its glory and started to coddle it like it was a baby. "Oh how sorry I am my art, I've been so caught up in my business that I almost forgot about you. No more will this happen; I will bring you back in style."
Contrary to belief back in the Elemental Nations, he wasn't just a sadistic arsonist that blew up stuff and called it art. Art was the only thing that comforted him back then when he had no one, when he need something to back him up. His art was always there no matter what even if for a fleeting moment.
He walked out of his room to be greeted by his first ever friend. He looked at her and gave her a friendly nod. Expecting a response back, he saw her gesture him over to a chair in front of her. Giving her a confused look, he put his scroll down and took a seat.
"Is there anything you need hm?" He put both his elbows on the table to let her know he was paying attention. 'Did I do something wrong hm?'
Tiamat sighed, it seemed she probably should've clarified what she wanted from Deidara instead of just telling him to sit. It's as if they were going to talk it out like a real coup... coupl... couple! at this point. She inwardly pouted at her awkwardness regarding these situations. Wait! Now's not the time to think about things like that! She needs to have answers now! She calmed her breathing down and stared back at Deidara who had a bewildered expression. "Deidara... ever since I first met you which was probably the weirdest first meetings anyone would have, there have been some things about you that didn't add up."
Her expression hardened and she narrowed her eyes; she began to list off her reasons of suspicion. "Whenever I try to ask if you were hiding anything from me, you would push it off or make an excuse. There's also the fact that you're a Phenex, yet you have the ability to mold clay to make it explode."
She looked back at Deidara who had a expressionless face on him. Deidara spoke, "My family told me that I was always different and special. At birth, I was born with an extra pair of mouths on my hands and chest hm."
In her mind, Tiamat was cursing; she couldn't tell if he was lying or not. Her gut was telling her that he wasn't telling her everything. She spoke again with her tone raising ever so slightly, "Ok, there's also been those moments where you felt almost sad and regretful. From what I've heard from you, you've had a pretty good life. It might be rude of me to say this. But for someone that has grown up in the Phenex mansion, you shouldn't have faced any hardships at all."
Putting both his hands, Deidara was inwardly panicking. He knew that this would happen one day, and he knew how good Tiamat was at picking out the little things. He needed a way out somehow; he wasn't ready to reveal his past yet. He breathed out and started to speak. "The reason is simple, someone important to me died when I was young."
She gritted her teeth in frustration; he still wasn't telling her everything. "Your abilities in battle are too good for someone your age. It's like you've fought in life or death situations before, I know because I've seen people like that. Right now, you are Ultimate class in strength, to do that at your age is ridiculous!"
This time Deidara didn't respond as he couldn't think of anything to say. The only thing he could do right now was remain silent. He didn't know what to feel now, worried? relieved? guilty? He didn't know.
A single tear fell down her face, she felt hurt that someone close to her would hide some things from her. Growing up, she didn't make any friends beside from Ajuka. Spending time with him was something she cherished everyday. She thought that friends weren't supposed to hide things from each other. Trust was something that Tiamat built with Deidara; she even shared a part of herself that she hasn't shown Ajuka yet. "We're friends right? Don't you trust me, we've had so much fun together. Do you know how much I care for you? You're the one of the few people I L-... truly care for. So please... stop hiding things from me."
Deidara has never felt anything like this before; it felt like his heart had been pierced with a million needles. Before he could do something stupid that could ruin the first ever friendship he ever had, he walked over to her and hugger her.
His eyes displayed a level of guilt that he hadn't ever shown before. He had thought that by hiding the truth from her, it wouldn't harm her; it did the exact opposite. Like her, he never did have a true friend that he could place his trust in.
Flashback
"Oi, Sasori my man, what do you think of this mission hm?" He didn't know what to think of the puppeteer. He's been partnered with him for more than a year and considered him a friend not that he knew what a friend is. They both share a sense of art even though their taste differed.
"Just another means to grow our organization I guess. Why ask though, you've never questioned orders from the Leader before." Sasori remained emotionless on the outside, but on the inside of his puppet he raised an eyebrow.
"Ha! Even I know not to mess with the leader, but... sometimes I question the morals of the mission. Even I have some limits on some of the we do." After he finished his statement, he pulled out some clay to mold it for fun.
"Our missions aren't a question of whether they're right or wrong. We're just cursed tools in this trash world, used by those who are stronger than us. In this case, the Leader is the strongest one in the group, so we follow him and pursue his goals. I have no doubt that once we used up our usefulness; he'll toss us aside like used tool." Sasori displayed a little emotion in that statement, obviously disliking his current situation. He knows that if he left the Akatsuki, he would end up like Orochimaru; on the run from two powerhouses.
"Hmpf, what a non-artistic way to look at it. However, you are right in some aspects and wrong in some hm." His look turned solemn. "I can't help but think that the leader is doing this for a reason though, we're all strangers to each other after all. Maybe we need a little more trust in each other."
Deidara shook his head after that. 'What the hell am I saying all of a sudden hm! This is ridiculous.'
"I don't care about trust or anything like that; hell, I don't even trust you one bit. That's how it is in this shinobi world. There's no bonds, trust, or love, only hatred and loneliness. I doubt that the Leader could bring World Peace. That seems like a fallacy to me." The two kept on walking with neither saying a single word. The hole inside Deidara's heart got bigger after hearing that.
Deidara didn't want to believe it, but he had to face the truth.
Sasori was just another stranger in the end.
Flashback End
Hugging her even tighter, he decided right now that he wouldn't hide anything from her anything. "I'm sorry Tiamat... I didn't mean to hurt you like that. I-I won't hide anything from you anymore. No, I'm not gonna lose another friendship like that"
He gave her his signature smile that she got the see more often now. She could see that he was really genuine with his apology. She gave him a hopeful look. He departed from his hug and sat next to her. "Where to start hm? My name is Deidara and this is my second chance at life."
Tiamat widened her eyes, but let him continue.
"I died young at a pretty young in my past life, and I wasn't a Devil either; I was a ninja. Believe it or not, I'm not originally from this world. I died in a completely different world at the age of nineteen. So you could technically say that I am thirty four years old but that's not the point. "
Deidara looked at the ground sorrowfully. "My mother, the person that I love the most, died due to a medical condition that wasn't curable at the time. It anger me that my mom didn't tell me about it, but I couldn't hate her because I loved too much."
Tiamat smiled fondly at him. "She must've been a great person then."
Deidara smiled as well thinking of the one person back at the Elemental Nations that was so kind-hearted. "Yeah, she was. From there, my 'father' took me in. He was real piece of shit you know that; I hated him with a passion. Eventually, I killed him one day. I lost myself that day too; I-I lost myself to hate and went insane. My love for art and my mother was the only thing that kept me moving."
Taking a deep breath, he continued. "I took the lives of the innocent, destroyed the lives of others, and betrayed many people. Which caused me to be branded as a S-rank missing ninja. I didn't know it myself but every time I did these atrocious acts, I would lose a piece of myself. The part of myself that my mom was proud of. I lost myself. I couldn't even make a single friend back then; I was so alone. Eventually, I died thinking that I accomplished my greatest my artwork, but I was wrong, so so wrong."
At this point tears were streaming down Deidara's face. Tiamat felt for him, grabbed his hand to give him reassurance. "I cried, begged for another chance so that I could come back to her and apologize. Next thing I knew, I got what I asked. I-I want to live a life that I couldn't get from the Elemental Nations. I already got enough anyways: a loving family and you as my best friend."
Once he finished, Tiamat immediately hugged him. The two just sat there in silence comforting one another. Fighting the Spiders will come later tonight. Now, all he wanted to do was to stay with Tiamat
"Hey Tiamat hm."
"Yeah Deidara?"
"Tonight I'm gonna fight that Phantom Troupe with Kurapika."
"Is that so? Well good luck. Oh and make sure to stay safe."
"OI OI, I'm not a kid hm."
To say that Deiara felt good was an understatement; it felt like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders. He just displayed a brighter aura in general. He was right now at the rendezvous spot the trio that He, Hisoka, and Kurapika decided upon. There was only one hour left until the attack. Right now Hisoka was explaining his plan.
"You two will take on everyone else, while I will take on the Leader. The strongest behind the Leader is Feitan, Uvogin, and Phinks. Since Kurapika's abilities are best used against the Troupe, I recommend for him to take those three on." Hisoka finished the very simple plan which was supposed to benefit him as he wanted to fight the leader the most.
"I see, I don't oppose it. Remember, if anyone needs assistance, just call for it." He smiled at the their little group. "We're a team remember."
Hisoka chuckled at Kurapika's response finding it amusing, while Deidara just realized something.
"What about me hm?" Deidara sat cross-legged as Hisoka left out his part.
Hisoka only smirked. "Why you get the rest of the Troupe of course."
Deidara only sighed as he muttered something about pedophilic magicians.
The Phantom Troupe's Hideout
"This is annoying; where is that damn magician." Uvogin was pacing back and forth right now. Hisoka was the only member that wasn't at the hideout. He really wanted to fight the Fire User, but they can't put their plan into action if Hisoka is missing."
"Aww, I didn't know you all missed me so much, maybe I should take you all out on a date." Hisoka put cards in front of his face to hide his smile. Oh how he enjoyed messing with the Troupe.
"Cut the crap Hisoka, you knew that we were supposed to be here at ten. Why are you an hour late!" Uvogin got up in Hisoka's face, not getting intimidated at all.
"I saw a lost puppy on the side of the road and couldn't just leave it there all alone. So I took an hour out of my time to bring it to a shelter." Hisoka couldn't control his lust at this point. He was so close to fighting the Leader, all he had to do was involve Phinks and Feitan. "I'm pretty sure Phinks and Feitan would agree with me, right?"
"As if, you need to explain why you're late Hisoka." Phinks got up and cracked his knuckles. He started walking towards Phinks with Feitan not too far behind with the Troupe watching.
Once the trio got in front of him, he made the signal which was him showing his Ace of Spades card. Knowing he only had about five seconds before Kurapika and Deidara joined, he spoke his last few words to the Troupe. "I'm late because... "
Before they could hear Hisoka say the last part of his sentence, multiple things happened. Uvogin was hit with what looked to be a chain. Little creatures that resembled spiders scattered everywhere blowing up the hide out. Lastly, Hisoka wasn't anywhere in front of them anymore. That was the analysis that Feitan made within less than two seconds.
"I'm sorry about what happened, but let me finish what I was going to say. I was late because I wanted to be," whispered Hisoka. Before Phinks or Feitan could comprehend what Hisoka said, they both received a punch from what they presumed to be the intruders.
'That damn magician betrayed us.' was the thought of the Troupe members throughout the hideout. They all noticed one thing though especially Franklin and Shizuku, and that was the two blondes in the center of the hideout.
"Yo! I heard you were looking for a certain fire user, Deidara Phenex at your service. I hope you enjoy the the art show today." That was what started it all.
Hisoka vs. Chrollo
"You planned this didn't you?" That was the emotionless question that Chrollo asked Hisoka. He always knew that Hisoka was one to look out for, but he never predicted that he would do this.
"You know, I never could fight you if you were always surrounded by Troupe members. I just thought that making some new friends could help with this. Care to play with some cards." Hisoka pulled out a deck of cards giving off a lot of killer intent and lust. He started to toss the cards on the ground waiting for Chrollo to finish talking.
"Very well, I'll play your game. You were never a member of the Troupe right? I hope you prepared well as I am the owner of one of the Thirteen Longinus: Bandit's Book." Out of nowhere, a book which Hisoka deduced was Chrollo's ability, appeared next Chrollo.
"Fun Fun Cloth!" A cloth appeared out of thin air. Hisoka's first thought was to not get caught in it. He was correct in that assumption; the rubble behind disappeared. He widened his eyes in surprise and used Bungee Gum to stick to the ceiling.
"Impressive isn't it, I'm sure you already deduced this, but this cloth wraps people up and traps them in a small pocket dimension." Putting the Fun Fun Cloth back, he pulled out his Ben's Knife.
Hisoka dodged Chrollo's strikes knowing that if he got hit, it would be game over. He hopped back again placing his hand on the ground. 'Texture Surprise!'
While he was dodging the Ben's Knife, he layered his Auraover a section of the hideout making it look normal but with a few changes. Before he could continue with his plan, he ducked. 'Magic Bullets.'
"Boss are you alright?" Hisoka narrowed his eyes. It was Franklin; he thought that Deidara and Kurapika had taken care of him. Oh well, it wouldn't matter anyway. He used Bungee Gum to maneuver around the bullets while keeping track of both men's movements until he got into the perfect spot.
"Did you know that Bungee Gum possesses the properties of both rubber and gum?" Hisoka released Bungee Gum. Both of them said nothing, but Chrollo then realized what happened and got out of the way in time. Franklin wasn't as fortunate though and got caught Hisoka's attack. All Chrollo heard after that was Franklin's body hit the ground meaning that he was dead now. He didn't have the time to try mourn though, he had other issues right in front of him
"Bungee Gum and Texture Surprise right? At the beginning, you used Bungee Gum to stick the cards to the ceiling and your body right? You then used the opportunity to dodge my strikes to build up the momentum of the cards. From there, you used Texture Surprise to conceal your cards from which you had set from two directions." Hisoka started clapping slowly. Chrollo showed no outward reaction and stayed on guard.
"My My, you figured out my whole plan from noticing little details. This is getting very fun, I hope you have more in surprise for me. However, let me introduce to you to something I call Trampoline Park." Chrollo transferred Auraover to his eyes to see that not only did he set up a trap, but laid his Auraaround the area they were in. It provided an advantage though; it created a sealed room for him.
"Indoor Fish!" From out of nowhere appeared fish that were made of magic.
'Those fish are dangerous, but it's no use if they're too slow.' Hisoka use his Aurato put both Texture Surprise and Bungee Gum on him. By doing this, he doesn't stick to the Trampolinesthat he laid out throughout the room, but instead, he bounces off of them.
"I do hope you have a great time~ Trampolinesare some of the most enjoyable objects." Hisoka smirked at Chrollo before he jumped on one of the Trampolinesavoiding the Indoor Fish. Slowly but surely, he gained momentum until he was just a blur.
'He's using his the Trampolines to get faster! Not good!' He Pulled out Bandit's Book.
"Black Voice! Teleportation!" Chrollo teleported over to Franklin's body and placed an antenna in him, controlling him. Before he could teleport again, he was cut, then cut again. Slowly but surely, the cuts started to get deeper to the point that was bleeding all over his body. Where was the magician? He needed to think of something fast before he got cut into a million pieces.
He teleported over to the other side of the room only to get cut again. 'How is he controlling his movements? At that speed, he shouldn't be able to change his movement at all.' That's when Chrollo realized, he wasn't controlling his speed at all. He just has so much momentum that he's made sure cover the whole room, bouncing around hitting every area. He also must've been holding cards before he gained the speed he had now. That was all the information he needed to execute a counter attack against Trampoline Park. He pulled back the Indoor Fish as they are useless now against an opponent faster than him
"Teleportation!" Chrollo teleported around the room at the same speed Hisoka was bouncing off of his Trampolines. While he was doing that to avoid losing a piece of himself, he controlled Franklin.
"Dual Uzis: Rapid Fire!" He fired Bullets all over the room. His intent wasn't to hit Hisoka, but the hit his Trampolines. In another ten seconds, Hisoka should be hit. Meaning he needed to get to a safe area. He used another ability Convert Hands to change Franklin into a copy of himself and used Black Voice to make Franklin get on Hisoka's Trampoline Park. In less than ten seconds he managed to pull all of that off.
'What's going on, I'm getting hit with magic bullets? That should be impossible... unless!' It was already too late. Bullets started going through Hisoka like crazy; he covered himself with more Bungee Gum while removing his Trampoline Park at the same time. His timing saved his own life; a second later and he would've been dead on the ground filled with holes throughout his body.
Chrollo came out to see Hisoka standing with at least ten holes through him not that he looked any better. He was covered in cuts and bruises. He had to admit, it was a difficult battle. If he had been five seconds late, he probably would've lost his life then and there. Before he could finish off Hisoka, an explosion flung him back. He looked up to see the Fire User and another person there.
"Damn, he's in bad condition hm." The Fire User stood in front of Hisoka almost shielding him.
"You're right, we need to end this as soon as possible." The other person saw the Leader of the Troupe and narrowed his eyes. "Deidara, how many Troupe members are left?"
"Well you took out both Uvogin and Phinks, while I only have three members left on me." Chrollo widened his eyes; these two took out more than half of the Troupe? He looked to see a badly beaten Feitan, Nobunaga, Machi, and Shalnark. It seems he has no choice.
Chrollo's voice barely came out as a whisper. "Balance Breaker!"
'Shit! Not Good.' The Leader entering Balance Breaker was not good. It meant that his power would skyrocket to at least Ultimate Class. During his training with Tiamat, he learned about the different oppenents he could possibly face in this world, Sacred Gear Users were one of them.
"I don't tend to use my Balance Breaker, but you three have pressed me this far." Deidara could feel Chrollo's power rise to the point where he could actually make him work. Before he could think what his abilities are, Hisoka spoke. "Stolen... abilities... those are his powers. I believe he can use more than just two abilities at once now."
Deidara widened his eyes, this was helpful; now he has information on his side. He looked to Kurapika. "Kurapika, do you think you could take out the rest of the Troupe. Right now, I'm the only one that can take him on now." Kurapika nodded to that.
"C1: Clay Soldiers!" Deidara molded his clay into five soldiers. They all charged Chrollo only to get caught in Chrollo's Fun Fun Cloth. He tried to blow them up only to hear a small explosion inside the cloth.
"What the hell was that hm?" He dodged left as Chrollo pulled out ability after ability. 'This is crazy, how many abilities does he have?'
He got more clay and molded it into various different animals. He made sure to hide a clay centipede in the ground to potentially get him.
"Interesting, you can mold clay into various objects or animals and make them explode. That can be used for various applications. After this is over, I'll steal your ability." Chrollo pointed his finger at Deidara who just narrowed his eyes.
Deidara charged Chrollo with C1: Clay Spiders in his hands. He swung with a right hook only to be dodged by Chrollo. What he didn't expect though was to see a four clay spiders on him. Deidara jumped back and got the necessary hand signs. "Katsu!"
After the explosion went off, he saw Chrollo nowhere in sight. That's when he realized where he was. He was too late however when he received a punch to the face.
"Teleportation can be pretty handy. You're strong, but you're holding back aren't you. You're worried about your allies well being which will be your down- Insight!" Chrollo jumped out of the way to avoid the C1:Centipede. Chrollo stared down Deidara who continued mold more clay. It seems he won't have enough time for conversations. Insightallowed him to perceive danger one second before it happens.
"Tch, you bastard, just take my art and die already! C1:Velociraptors!" Out of a pack of smoke came a pack of six Velociraptors, each moved at a different angle meaning he would have to pull out more abilities.
"Hardened Air!" Chrollo increased the air around him creating a shield from the incoming explosion.
"Katsu!" The explosion went off. Expecting to see a burnt Chrollo, to Deidara's surprise, all that he saw was Chrollo walking towards him.
"I think it's about time I go on the offensive. Playing defense isn't as ideal." Chrollo charged Deidara with each matching blows with each other. As the two continued to trade blows, Deidara realized something. His reserves were lower than what he originally thought, and that Chrollo's strikes were getting stronger and faster. Eventually, Deidara lost the exchange and got sent flying back
Siphon, Angel'sBreath, and Impactwere the three abilites that Chrollo used. By using both the Siphonand Angel's Breath abilities in conjunction, He could absorb Deidara's magic reserve and heal his body at the same time negating the injuries he received from Hisoka earlier. His siphoned energy would go to his legs and arms which were already growing in strength from each hit he received from Deidara due to Impact.
'This isn't good, he's looking to end it on the next one. I need to slow down my Regeneration before he realizes I can heal.' Deidara didn't want to admit it, but he was struggling. He realized that Chrollo mastered the Sacred Gear: Bandit's Book which was one of the Thirteen Longinus. It sucked because he could basically just pull out ability after ability meaning he would have to continually stay on his toes.
Chrollo looked up to see Deidara get up panting. He was covered in bruises from their exchange. "I'm going to finish it with this one."
Chrollo released his Aura and transferred it into his Sacred Gear. This ability wasn't one he stole, but one he created himself. He created it to see what his purpose was, what his emotions were, and to learn more about himself The ability was called The Book of Truth. This ability allows for Chrollo to ask one question, if they don't answer it correctly or lies, the person will die. He had used this ability many times on himself but never seemed to die nor learn anything about himself.
"Fire User, what is your purpose?" This was it, no one knows what their purpose is, not even him. He'll die even he doesn't know what the answer is.
For some reason, Deidara couldn't move and it seemed neither could Chrollo. It felt like some force was looking deep within him for an answer. Before he knew it, he was talking. "My purpose is to do what I do best, make art that defines who I am."
After that moment, there was silence. Chrollo waited and waited, but it seemed that Deidara didn't die. What was going on, he thought that he was the only one immune to the effects.
WHY...
WON'T...
IT...
WORK!
For the first time in Chrollo's life, he felt an emotion. Anger... He asked the question again.
"Fire user, what is your purpose?"
"Fire user, what is your purpose?"
"FIRE USER, WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE!"
Chrollo was practically screaming at this point attracting the attention of the remaining Troupe members, Kurpika, and barely conscious Hisoka. Before Chrollo could try something else, Deidara blitzed him landing a kick to his jaw. He looked back to see a seething Chrollo, his expression changed from one of urgency to one of pity for a split second.
"C2: Clay Bird!" Deidara picked up Hisoka and placed him on the bird. "OI! Kurapika get on now!"
Kurapika heard him and got on the clay bird. The trio took off to the sky with Kurapika confused to what Deidara was planning. "Deidara, what's going on?"
Deidara faced Kurapika and clenched his teeth in anger. He saw Kurapika with blood running down his face, cuts all over his body, and what looked to be a broken arm. He somehow managed to calm himself down before. "We were in a bad situation, Hisoka is badly injured and you are too. We have a Longinus User and a few Troupe members left. This is our only option left"
Chrollo right now was being tended to by the remaining Troupe members who are in bad conditions. He was thinking right now. 'Why was the fire user unaffected, even people who have told the truth died to this ability.'
Chrollo's Balance Breaker deactivated as he stared at the opening in the ceiling. His eyes landed on the clay bird that Deidara was on. The two locked eyes and for a moment, he understood. He knew what he was missing, that one key element that he didn't account for.
The will to love and protect...
'Sorry Chrollo, but only one of us was making it out today. I have loved ones that I have to to return to...' Deidara lowered his head in respect.
"C3: City Destroyer..." His voice barely came out as a whisper. A large clay sculpture fell on the Troupe's Hideout. A large explosion rang throughout the abandoned city, and then... all that remained was silence.
"It's over" Deidara looked backed to at Hisoka and Kurapika; they both looked terrible with Kurapika holding arms indicating that he had a broken bones, while Hisoka was covered in his own blood. 'To think I had to resort to using C3 to win.'
The surrounding area that used to full of tall abandoned buildings was now nothing but a crater. Deidara had his clay bird land on the ground to regroup. The trio then got off although with noticeable difficulty. It was then Deidara that spoke up "Oi Kurapika, are you alright?"
Kurapika turned to face him with an empty look on his face. "I don't know..." He let out a small laugh, yet it didn't display any joy or happiness. Eventually, tears formed from the corners of his eyes, all while Deidara and Hisoka looked on. "It's strange isn't it, we beat the Spiders. The same group that ruined my life, but why? They're gone; I feel empty, it's as if I lost a piece of myself today. What am I meant to do now?"
Deidara just scoffed, "What are you talking about you idiot? You're my friend now, you're coming with me obviously."
From the moment Deidara extended his hand, Kurapika knew that this was the next chapter of his life. He didn't care that he was going to give up his humanity in order to join his peerage. He wiped the tears off his face and gave Deidara a confident smile as he stood up to face him. "Well, what are we waiting for, let's get this process started. Reincarnate me into a Devil..."
Deidara only smirked at him, it seemed that all his hard work paid off. Granted, he could've done this in a much more efficient manner, but it wouldn't help him with the person he wanted to be down the line. He wasn't an arrogant or sadistic bastard anymore, he's now a new person. "Lay down on the ground, now before I reincarnate you into a Devil; I need to explain to you about the different Evil Pieces. The Queen Piece is the most powerful having all the attribute of the other pieces. The Bishopis for people that are proficient in the use of magic, but it doesn't mean that they are giving up their strength and speed for better magic; it just means that your magic is stronger. The rest of the pieces are the Rook, Knight, and Pawn, the Rookhas increased strength while the Knighthas increased speed; The Pawnis special though. If someone who is a Pawnin enemy territory, they can be given a promotion to either a Queen, Bishop, Knight, or Rook. The strength of the person I'm reincarnating is also taken into account, the stronger they are, the more pieces it takes to reincarnate them."
"I see, have you decided what piece you're going to use?"
"Yeah, if I use a Rook on you, if would increase strength and defense which would be beneficial to you in my opinion hm." Kurapika nodded and gave him his approval to use the Rook to reincarnate him.
With the Rook placed centered over Kurapika, Deidara began the process. "I, Deidara Phenex, hereby order you Kurapika Kurta to come back to this world as my Rook. Umm, Enjoy your new life?"
Deidara kind of forgot what to say on the ritual, but it was to be expected. He never once paid attention to his tutor after all. Deidara waited in anticipation to see if the ritual worked or not.
The Evil Piece suddenly sank into Kurapika's body as if he just regained a piece of himself. 'Wait it worked? Fuck yeah hm. I didn't need those classes after all.' In his mind, a mini Deidara was setting up clay explosives in his tutor's room...
"I don't feel any different, are you sure the ritual was done correctly." Kurapika was confused, he thought that he would be, what's the word... a little more different.
"A devil isn't that different from a human except that they have better sense, strength, speed, and they also have wings as a matter of fact." Kurapika turned around to see that he had wings which was just crazy.
"My my, to think that you were actually telling the truth Deidara-kun~" Hisoka was intrigued and in a very good mood, after all, he fought the leader in a battle, nearly died, found a new opponent in the form of Deidara, and now he was informed of countless opportunities from the Supernatural world. "When the word Devil popped up, I thought you kids were just messing around; it turns out, you were telling the truth like good little kids."
Both Kurapika and Deidara had twitch mark on their heads after hearing that. They almost forgot that Hisoka was still there. "OI, WE AREN'T LITTLE KIDS!" shouted the two.
Hisoka merely chuckled at their antics, but decides to get onto business. "Deidara, I'm pretty sure you saw my skill and are interested in me right~. I would be willing to join your peerage on a couple of conditions of course. What do you say." Hisoka extended his hand out playfully putting on a smile for the show all while Deidara just looked at him.
'Hisoka is powerful, he managed to keep up with a skilled Longinus User. Adding him to my peerage would be beneficial, but he's too unpredictable. Oh yeah, I can't forget that he's a certified pedophile.' Looking at the pros and cons of the situation, he came to a conclusion.
"I'll let you join, but tell me your conditions"
Hisoka smirked a little. "All I ask is to fight you to the death in eight years, no outside intervention, just me and you." Hisoka licked his lips after that.
After Hisoka spoke his terms, Deidara was in deep thought at that. "Fine, I'll fight you in eight years with no outside intervention."
Kurapika said nothing.
They all started to walk back in silence letting the events of today pass by them.
Deidara's room
Right now, Tiamat was reading a book waiting for Deidara to come back. She fully trusted Deidara with the situation as she helped train him herself. She would say that he was around Mid-Ultimate Class level in strength. Considering his age, that was something impressive. She flipped to another page of her book and started reading again until she heard someone knocking on the door.
Knock Knock
To her surprise, she finds three people in front of her. One was Deidara himself who was smiling at her with what looked to bruises scattered throughout his body. She guessed that he was low on magic so his healing was slower. She looked to the next person which she recalled was Kurapika. He looked beat up like Deidara as well with what looked to be a broken arm. The last one of the group was what looked to be a magician who smiled innocently at her.
"Tiamat, are you gonna keep looking at us forever hm?" Tiamat got out of the way embarrassed by her actions. The two teenagers walked in as well as the magician. Once he got in, Deidara immediately laid on the couch letting out a yawn. "Tiamat, we have some stuff to talk about. First of all, I finally got two peerage members. The tall guy over there is Hisoka, he is both a knight and bishop. I'm pretty sure you already know Kurapika."
"Oh that's wonderful, would you two like any tea or refreshments," asked Tiamat kindly. When she received a nod from Kurapika, she got up to get some drinks for them. "By the way, my name is Tiamat as you have probably guessed. I'm Deidara's friend, it's nice to meet you all. I have to ask though, how did you all get so hurt?"
"Well it's nice to meet you Tiamat. We got into a little trouble as the leader of Phantom Troupe had a sacred gear. Unfortunately, I was about to die until Deidara graciously saved me. We were on the brink of losing until Deidara made this marvelous clay bird to get us out of there~" Tiamat was a little weirded out by the way Hisoka talked about Deidara. She really hoped that he wasn't going to do anything bad to her Deidara.
"He's right, without Deidara, both of us would've most likely died. He dropped this clay bomb on the Troupe which then exploded taking out the abandoned city they were in." Kurapika put a hand on his face signifying how tired he was. Tiamat gave a nod to Kurapika.
"You know what, I think I'll take a break from my peerage gathering conquest. We need a place to stay anyway, and I don't think staying in hotels will sustain us long." The rest of them agreed, even Hisoka did. Sometimes, even he needed a break from the action. "How about Tokyo, Japan for our base of operations hm? Yeah yeah, that'll work. It'll be the perfect place to work on my art!"
"I can continue to train!" This battle showed Kurapika that he was far behind Deidara and Hisoka in strength. When he watched Deidara fight, it was like watching to monsters going at it. That's why he wants to train and get stronger.
"We can play board games together!" Tiamat just wanted to have fun.
"I can get to know my precious friends better~" Subconsciously, Deidara and Kurapika took a step away from Hisoka.
Yeah, maybe not that one.
Deidara at the age of 18
It's been a pretty strange 3 years for Deidara, Tiamat, and his assembled peerage so far. The only problem was Hisoka... he was very eccentric with both Kurapika and Deidara. He always gets the feeling that Hisoka has this lust directed at both him and Kurapika, but mostly him. Overall though, they got along fine with all of them getting together to spend time together which Hisoka probably enjoys the most. Right now though, they were playing an absolutely intense game of Monopoly to which Deidara is about to lose all of his money after landing on Hisoka's property.
"This is absolute bullshit! I knew putting you as the banker was a bad idea hm." Deidara comically pointed his fingers at Hisoka in accusation. Meanwhile, Tiamat and Kurapika laugh at Deidara's misfortune.
"Why Deidara-kun, I have been doing my job right? I don't know why you would be accusing me of such a heinous act. OH~ it hurts my very soul," Hisoka said in a dramatic fashion while Deidara gained a tick mark on his head. Alas, Deidara relented and ended up paying Hisoka.
"Deidara, just leave Hisoka be. You were always bad at board games anyway, why don't you watch the rest of the game. It'll be fun, I promise." Tiamat gave a smile cheekily to Deidara who started turning red from embarrassment. Kurapika was just full out laughing now, who wouldn't be after all the bad luck Deidara has gotten.
'Laugh now, all of you. Don't get angry when you become the new test subjects of my art.' Deidara laughed maniacally within his mind.
In the end, Tiamat won to which Hisoka was a little disappointed, and Kurapika shook his head. Tiamat mostly bragged to Deidara who was looking away from her. If Tiamat had to be honest, spending time with Deidara's peerage was some of the most fun she had ever had. They were very diverse where you have Deidara who is kind, bold, and outgoing, Kurapika who is cool-headed and calm, and Hisoka who was just the wild card in the group; it allowed for something that just worked.
Once the fun was over, Deidara called everyone to the main lobby of his new mansion that he spent more half of his money that his family gave him. He bought it with his peerage three months after the fiasco in New York. Yes, he was still very much rich. This mansion was located in Tokyo, Japan as it was suggested by himself and agreed upon by the group. It had all the group could've ever dreamed of having in a mansion. The only thing they were missing were more people and a cook. They needed a cook badly: Deidara would burn it, Kurapika would undercook it, Hisoka's always tasted funny which was probably on purpose, and Tiamat just didn't know how to cook.
"I think that it's time for me to continue expanding my peerage. I still have eight pawns, two knights, one bishop and one queen, meaning that we could have at most twelve new members or at least three or four members. The question is, where to go next." Deidara sat cross legged on the couch looking at his fellow devils and his dragon friend for any suggestions.
"Well I'm still new to the Supernatural world, so I don't think I would be of much help locating an area to look for new peerage members," Kurapika spoke as he sat down in front of Deidara. The chain user suddenly remembered something though. "I remember you saying that knights have increased speed, so I suggest looking for someone who would fit the bill as a knight yet doesn't have the weaknesses of one. A swordsman would be best as they would gain tremendous speed and since they wield a sword, they would still have a large amount of strength."
"I agree with Kurapika-kun on this, as I am new to this world as well. A swordsman does seem like a good idea for your Knight Piece as cliché as that is. Also a those yokai might be good for your last Rook Piece." Once Hisoka finished, he went back to playing with his cards. Playing with cards has always been a way for him to take his mind off of other things.
"That sounds good hm. Alright then, I guess we'll go to Kyoto then. Although that place is mostly full of yokais, there are a bunch of other supernatural beings there too. I'm willing to bet that there are some amazing swordsmen there." Deidara got up and told his peerage to start packing as they would go to Kyoto as their next destination. He almost couldn't hold his excitement about going to Kyoto. He now had more comrades to join him on his quest to making his peerage. Maybe if he got lucky, the leader of Kyoto would let him reincarnate a yokai, although he finds that unlikely.
Meanwhile...
In a restaurant in Kyoto were two people. One was a man with yellow hair with red streaks and another was a young women with scarlet hair. It seemed that the young women was embarrassed as she watched him eat plate after plate of food.
"Seriously Kyojuro? I don't think it's proper to eat food like that," spoke the red haired woman. She was dressed in a white blouse and blue skirt, it's almost as if she wasn't born here in Japan. She was currently enjoying some strawberry cake as it's her favorite treat.
"Ha! Erza, you should know that my sword style needs me eat a lot!" Kyojuro spoke in a loud voice, almost shouting towards the young women who was now known as Erza.
"And as your younger sibling, I should've engraved more manners into you." Erza continued to lecture Kyojuro who kept on enjoying the meal. They were a strange pair, but they were really close to each other.
"Erza, as much as I enjoy seeing you lecture me, I think we should go meet up with Lady Yasaka. She said that we were to work with one other person on this mission." Kyojuro got up making sure to leave a tip, and started to walk out with Erza following in pursuit
"Do know who we're working with?" She catched up with him holding a plate with her signature strawberry cake on it. Kyojuro didn't look at her but spoke.
"I don't, but we should hurry. We don't want to be late do we? Oh! Erza, I know I'm not one to talk, but please do lay off on the strawberry cake from time to time." Kyojuro just smiled at Erza who was turning as red as her hair. Their antics caught the eye of their unknown partner. Her hazel eyes landed on them before continuing on her way
Things were about to get interesting, that's for sure.
A/N
I'M BACK! Sorry for not posting a chapter for a while, just had a lot of things to take care of. I probably won't post a lot these coming weeks, because I have tests to prepare for. Hope you enjoy this chapter nonetheless.
WOW! Lots of things happened this chapter, Tiamat and Deidara bonded even more with Tiamat learning about his true past. I think I wrote that scene between them decently, but tell me what you think. In that flashback, I think I portrayed Sasori correctly, but I'm not sure. The battle between Chrollo and Hisoka and Chrollo and Deidara I think was pretty good. I didn't want to drag out the chapter, so I didn't include the fight between Deidara and Kurapika and the rest of the Troupe. This chapter felt really emotional and well written. How'd you all feel about the New York City arc. Deidara fought the Troupe and gained new friends in Hisoka and Kurapika. Hope you guys enjoy it!
