Broken heart
Chapter 7
GREEN GABLES LAUNDERING Fairfax, Virginia
Alexi Mechmon had been waiting for his brother to come back after dropping off the latest batches of money to their clients. It's bad enough one man was dead with the sergeant and now the others from his ship are putting pressure on them to threaten them with a piece of the action.
Alexi was watching his associates in the back of the laundry producing real money with their own machines in order to keep up with the flow. They were as well waiting for a truck of weapons to be moved into the area. Though they need to be careful with the possible chance of the authorities to be watching them.
One of his associates had been watching the door. For when they noticed that Gabriel was arriving back with a new client. He had asked for the weapons as part of the deal. Walking inside the back entrance. Alexi asked his brother whether everything has been all set.
"Yes, brother. The client is here wanting his weapons along with the rest of the payment." Gabriel had to say...
"Take him to the back for him to take them with another shipment to arrive soon. Our friends from the ship are willing to pay for the rest and having customers that are interested as well," he said.
Alexi responded.
"Very well. Just as long as we don't have any more deaths to worry about and have the authorities on our trail?" Gabriel replied with his response.
Leroy Jethro Gibbs was quiet with Loriele sitting next to him while heading for his cabin. They had been on the road almost an hour before Gibbs needed to stop for gas for the truck and a bathroom break. He stopped at a BP gas station with a small convenience store to pick up supplies, coffee and sandwiches before reaching the cabin before darkness.
"Jethro, you need anything inside?" she asked him not realizing he was going to say anything at all.
"Get me coffee and a sandwich with some type of chips please?" he said before picking up the pump to fill up his truck before going inside to pay for the gas.
She was able to fill up two containers of black coffee for him, while she had picked out two bottles of the diet cola and turkey sandwiches from the cooler along with a couple of bags of chips and pretzels. She was able to use her cash that was sitting inside her blue coat.
She placed the coffee next to them into the container in front of them. While everything else was placed into the back of the truck. While Gibbs continued on with the route with the GPS and map in the glove box.
Loreile was getting tired of the silence. So she decided to start up a conversation with him. "How about those Yankees with spring training? At least now that the virus is not as bad anymore with all of the vaccines. At least there are fans in the stands."
"Did you ever attend a Yankees game in your life?" he will say to her.
"I have one time for when I was 24 years old with the Yankees playing the Boston Red Sox's for which I hate the most. Otherwise, I have mostly been watching the games on tv as with hockey, basketball, golf, and football. The only sport I hate the most is Tennis."
He chuckled to make her think he's alive still deep inside his chest.
"I used to play baseball with my father before he had found out about my mother dying from breast cancer. But I was able later on to find out the truth about having killed herself with help from a friend. Otherwise, I will play on occasion with NCIS friends early on, and why now I play ball with Phineas."
"Do you want to ask me anything else Leroy Jethro Gibbs?" she smiled at the question and wondering on whether he was going to answer it.
"I lost out with a relationship with Jacqueline Sloane because I was too stupid to realize what was going on around me. However now with you, I don't wish to screw this up with all of my ghosts behind me saying that I am a complete fool."
"What ghosts are you talking about Jethro?" she needed to know with the strange comment coming out of his mouth.
"It's a long story Loreile. However, I wish to continue with this relationship depending on how far it goes," he commented with stopping on the side of the road in order to kiss her like there is no tomorrow.
She wasn't going to push the man away this time. She had feelings for him. But she needed to have him ready with his own. Since he had always run away from his from over the years.
This was a kiss that had everything into it. She was burning up with desire and she wanted a lot of things. He broke the kiss gathering himself together. As he started up the truck once again. She gave him a look that could kill.
"What?" he cried out with his response.
"You're really too much at times Leroy Jethro Gibbs!" she commented as he continued to drive further towards his cabin.
Some two hours later with finally reaching his cabin with the light still. Thank god it wasn't dark with needing to use the outhouse on the side of the cabin.
"Be careful of any animals that might be inside?" Gibbs said with his demeanor that had her steaming to a certain point.
"No kidding." she cried out with her response.
