It was only five hours since Illidan has set sail and he has encountered ships that, thanks to Gul'dan's memories, he recognized as Kul'tiran. It would seem that Kel'thuzad wasn't lying. 'Clever. It seems that Kel'thuzad gave me this knowing I would go after the Legion. I guess the undead really is against the Legion.' the demon hunter thought to himself. He turned around and with his spectral sight, he saw one owl near this area. Illidan wasn't able to think about it for too long as he heard cannon shots. Knowing his ship might get hit, Illidan went invisible before flying up, just waiting in the air

It didn't take too long for two more ships came beside Illidan's. He just waited in the air and observed as demons boarded his ship and tried to check who was inside. To their surprise, there was no one aboard

"Destroy the ship." a Fel Guard commander ordered and retreated to the ships they used. They then sunk Illidan's ship not long after that when some Shivarra casted fire spells. The very same spell also got the owl caught up in the explosion

In the meantime, Illidan has flown down to one of the human ships used by the Legion as they went back on patrol. The demon hunter had hoped that the demons would take the ship to a specific destination but they didn't even after three hours of sailing. Illidan grew annoyed and broke out of his invisibility, quickly killing the Fel Guard commander

"Kill him!" a Succubus yelled before Illidan just cleanly cut her in two. The other demons didn't last more than five minutes against the demon hunter. The other ship that boarded his had no idea what was going and and Illidan had no intention of letting them know. He went to main deck and fired an eye beam, burning it and sending it down to the bottom of the sea. He then set the sail towards the islands that Gul'dan had raised, the ancient city of Suramar and Illidan's old hometown

He took to the air and went invisible once more when the islands were in sight. Ultimately, he decided that it would not be flying around as it could draw any attention especially on the chance they he doesn't notice anything the Legion uses to see through invisibility. Upon seeing an area with only three Fel Guards, Illidan took them out without too much effort, killing them before they even knew what happened before moving inland. However, as he was moving through the ruins, he felt something off and instinctively ducked, dodging a sword strike that would have sliced his head and part of his wings clean off

Illidan quickly summoned one of his falchion blades and engaged in a sword fight. As Illidan wasn't using his spectral sight at this very moment, he couldn't tell who his assailant was due to a mask covering the face and whoever it was, was good. Both of their fighting styles were similar, on first glance, as Illidan didn't go all out since he was fighting a night elf

His assailant wasn't going easy. She threw a dagger which distracted Illidan before attempting to run him through. The demon hunter was able to dodge it and managed to kick her away. Before she could recover, Illidan slammed one of his wings, sending her flying into a tree. Surprisingly, despite the pain, she was able to dodge as now, Illidan was the one trying to run her through and she barely moved her head out of the way and his sword cut off some of her hair. She quickly kicked his knee and caused him to slightly lose his balance before delivering an uppercut to his chin, sending him reeling. The demon hunter recovered almost instantly and summoned his smaller falchion blade. His attacker then removed Illidan's blade that was stuck in the tree and used it to attack the demon hunter

Throughout the whole engagement, neither used any fancy spells because they had no intention of attracting any demons that were nearby. After it was proven they were about even, she decided to use her new tricks, using a spell similar to a doom guard's cripple spell to slow down Illidan's movements. The demon hunter was surprised at this but quickly shrugged it off. He then cast a chaining spell that bound one of her legs to the ground. Reacting quickly, she used a fire spell to burn through the chain but it was a bit too late and Illidan already kicked her into a wall. The impact finally caused the mask to fall off as Illidan recognized who she was

"Illysanna?" Illidan asked in surprise and used his spectral sight which confirmed her identity

Illysanna was surprised that this demon knows her name but she did recognize the voice, one which she didn't expect to hear at all. "Illidan Stormrage? Is that you? You look... different?" she asked in surprise

"It's a long story." illidan said as he helped her up

"So, I guess the invasion got too bad that Maiev let you go?" Illysanna said in amusement

"Hardly. She was too stubborn even for that. It was actually Tyrande that set me free, killing her Watchers in the process." Illidan answered

"Really now?" Illysanna said with a smirk. "That warden is gonna be pissed at that."

"I imagine so. I saw her just before I left." Illidan said with a smirk of his own

"Hardly surprising." Illysanna said before she followed Illidan, who started to walk back to the path he was on. "So, what are you doing here?"

"Trying to get the the lands to the east. The Legion is still there and even though Archimonde is defeated, they can simply hold their position there until they are ready to attack." Illidan answered

"Lands to the east, you mean Lordaeron?" Illysanna asked

"How do you know about that place?" Illidan asked in surprise as he stopped to look at her

Illysanna had a raised eyebrow and got confused. "I could ask you the same question, you know."

"Because of how I became part demon." Illidan answered as he began walking again, using his spectral sight to see if anyone or anything was listening in. "During the invasion, I absorbed the energies of an artifact called 'The Skull of Gul'dan'. It gave me enough power to defeat Tichondrius and one of the Pit Lords but it also warped my body into what you see now."

"Gul'dan? The orc warlock?" Illysanna said and caused Illidan to stare at her

The demon hunter just stared at her for a while, scrutinizing her from head to toe, wondering if she was someone else. However, her appearance and attitude towards him was that of the real Illysanna Ravencrest's and even with his spectral sight, it was still her. "How do you know that?"

"So, that's why the demons went inside." Illysanna said and ignored the question, realizing what the demons stopped here for. "It's better if you see for yourself how I know and I'll tell you why I'm here." she said and led him through the ruins. The duo eventually reached a small hut that was hidden deep in the ruins and the trees. "Kinda nice isn't it? This area is so isolated that nobody bothers to check here." she said and opened the door. "I'm back."

"Ahh, Illysanna, good to see you back." the person inside said but as he turned around, he saw Illidan. He didn't react negatively for a bit and just stared at the demon hunter, who did the same but seemed to have a knowing look on his face. "I sense that this one is similar to us orcs." he commanted

"How so?" Illysanna asked curiously

"He is not of demon origin and his body has been warped by demonic energies and he also wields the same kind of powers as I do." the person explained before facing the demon hunter. "Greetings, stranger. I am..." he said

"Drak'thul of the Stormreaver Clan. So, you're still alive." the demon hunter finished his sentence and surprised the orc. "So, that's how you knew about Lordaeron and Gul'dan." he said in realization. "Illidan Stormrage." he introduced himself before explaining how he knew his identity

"I see. So, the demons have retrieved his body and used it for their purposes, just like how they intended to use us." Drak'thul lamented. "I assume you want to hear my part of the story?" he asked and Illidan merely nodded. "If you have Gul'dan's memories, then you already know what we tried to do and why I am here. I was one of those that accompanied Gul'dan inside the Tomb of Sargeras but we separated inside. I assumed that all my other comrades are dead but I managed to find a way out after the tomb's guardians had nearly killed me. I have been stranded here ever since."

Illidan then looked at Illysanna, indicating that he wanted to hear her story as well

"A few years ago, Cenarius has sense something was amiss in this area of the world and suspected that it might be the Burning Legion. There was no way to know what had happened here from Ashenvale as they all still thought that it was nothing but water beyond Kalimdor. So, Tyrande decided to send someone to investigate. I was among those that was chosen and I was surprised that Suramar was raised from the deeps." Illysanna explained to the demon hunter who just listened intently

"How many did Tyrande send?" Illidan asked with narrowed eyes

"Only four. It was of Cenarius' recommendation as he didn't want to reveal our existence to whatever was out there. When we arrived, it was already at the end of the battle between the humans and orcs. The orcs were defeated and were set on board the human's ships. Some of the orcs tried to escape and ran in our direction. They assumed we were high elves and attacked. The others who were sent here weren't as good of a fighter as I was. My father had trained me before while they weren't that trained." Illysanna said and walked to the door. Illidan and Drak'thul followed. She soon stopped in an empty yard on the side opposite the hut's door and pointed to three tombstones which had the names of her group. "I was the only one that survived. We fought six orcs. The others didn't have that much of a fighting chance but I was able to dispatch them. At that point, more of the orcs that escaped had taken our ship but were shot down by Kul'tiran marines and I was stranded. A few hours after the humans left, I found this old orc nearly dead. Since I had nothing else to do, I decided to nurse him back to good health and he has taught me many things, including how to use the Legion's magic. After a few months, another party was sent to investigate what happened to us."

"But you didn't reveal yourself, didn't you?" Illidan pointed out

Illysanna merely shook her head. "I was already losing faith that Cenarius or Tyrande could lead us. After my father was assassinated, I thought you were right." she said and looked at the demon hunter. "Like the others, I believed that we would prevail over the Legion with the way we fight but I was wrong. You warned us that the Legion's return was inevitable after you created the well at Mount Hyjal yet, they simply disregarded it, hoping that the World Tree would hide it forever. When the search party arrived, I just hid and never showed myself. I assume that they merely marked us as either dead or missing since they did stay here exploring for about two weeks." she finished her story

"Since then, I have been teaching her about the Legion's magics and she has grown proficient in them. She even showed talent that was better than many of the orc warlocks." Drak'thul commented. He and Illysanna looked at Illidan and had an apologetic look on his face, feeling somewhat sorry for her

"What is it, Illidan?" Illysanna asked curiously

"'I'm just curious if the search party created a map of this place. I haven't noticed anything and neither Tyrande nor Malfurion told me about this. The wardens didn't even hear any rumors about this as far as I've noticed." Illidan said thoughtfully

"Tyrande probably ordered this to remain a secret so that no one else would sneak out. This is where we used to live after all." Illysanna pondered

"It's possible." Illidan added

Drak'thul was somewhat familiar with this 'Tyrande' and 'Cenarius' as Illysanna had told him about them. "So, what are you planning to do, Illidan?" he asked

Illidan didn't trust this random orc warlock at all but Illysanna seems to trust him so he decided to just tell him of what he intends to do but none of the actual details. "I'm heading towards Lordaeron. The Legion still has their forces there and it would still be a massive risk if they remain where they are."

"If the Legion is still truly there, then you would be facing a large army and you're all alone." Drak'thul pointed out

"I have my methods." Illidan said vaguely

"Can I come with you?" Illysanna asked and drew a curious look. "I want to fight the demons, Illidan. The hard reality is that ever since the war ten thousand years ago, we have just been waking up every single day wondering if today is the day the Burning Legion returns. I don't want to live like that anymore. You know more about the demons than anyone else on this world. Besides, there's nothing else to do here and I still have a few thousand years left of my life."

"I do not plan on fighting the Legion, at least not yet. We demons have a very unique quality. Demons come from a place called the 'Twisting Nether'. If we are killed anywhere outside the Nether, then our souls simply return to it and our bodies regenerate." Illidan explained and surprised both Drak'thul and Illysanna. The warlock had no idea of this as the Legion never shared that information, even with Gul'dan. He only got this information from Sargeras himself when his eyes were burned. "As I said, I do not plan to fight the Legion yet. There is still something else I have to find out. I do not know what it is yet and I have no idea what I should be looking for but I have to find it."

"And if you do, you still intend to fight the Legion?" Illysanna asked

"That depends on what must be done after I've discovered what I'm looking for. Regardless of how it plays out, yes, I intend to take this war to the Legion." Illidan answered

"That's good enough for me." Illysanna said

"May I travel with you as well?" Drak'thul asked. This did not surprise both night elves at all since they figured he didn't want to rot away in this deserted place

"Why would you do that?" Illidan asked suspiciously and scrutinized the warlock. Instead of answering, the warlock realized what Illidan was doing. He was using the same spell that Gul'dan used to connect with Medivh's mind in an attempt to read Drak'thul's mind. Much to the demon hunter's surprise, the warlock didn't bother to shield his mind. He just allowed the hybrid read his mind. Eventually, the demon hunter learned that this warlock had nothing left and that he would have nothing to lose if he joins in

"I have nothing left in this world. The rest of the Horde will not accept me as I am still a warlock and I fully wield the demon's powers and as such, I have no intention of rejoining them, even if they would accept me. The Legion is still a threat to all our existence." Drak'thul answered honestly

"That's fine by me." Illidan said. He didn't trust the orc but nonetheless allowed him to come along but he would make sure the warlock would be kept on a short leash. The three of them soon went back to the hut to plan their next move. Illysanna went first with Illidan going in last. The demon hunter looked at the names engraved on the tombstone even though they held no value to him. Theras Greenblade, Alandien Nightbow and Netharel Silverwing

"What now?" Illysanna asked once they were inside the hut

"We wait. The wardens that kept me imprisoned are coming for me. We'll kill them first before we leave. I don't want them to cause some headache when we're fighting the Legion." Illidan answered

"That seems fair. If it's only the three of us then we definitely cannot afford a two way fight. The demons have an outpost deeper inland and we will not be able to fight them and your wardens at the same time." Drak'thul commented. The demon hunter just had a contemplative look on his face as he knew they won't be alone in driving out the Legion but there was still something that concerned him

The trio waited around for the next few days with nothing significant happening. Illidan had already regained most of his powers with Drak'thul's help and went inside the tomb alone. With his invisibility, he was able to easily avoid any guards and retrieved the Shadow Orb, an artifact belonging to the Shadow Council

On the third day since Illidan's arrival while Illysanna was hunting, she was on top of a hill that gave an vantage point towards the shoreline. She saw multiple night elven ships dock in an area far to the north of where she met Illidan. Illysanna had a grin on her face before deciding to run back to the hut to tell her allies about what she saw. When she arrived, she noticed Illidan just meditating. The demon hunter looked at her as she arrived and she signalled that they need to talk before walking inside. Illidan was curious what it was about and followed her

"What is it, Illysanna?" Drak'thul asked

"It's the night elves. They're here." Illysanna answered and looked at the demon hunter. "They've landed far to the north of here, right near the outpost of the demons." she said with a smirk

Illidan grinned at this information but he knew what still needed to be done. "We'll have to bail them out."

"Why?" Illysanna asked in surprise

"Maiev is acting on her own. She doesn't have my brother nor Tyrande's permission to be here and I have no intention of fighting the night elves. More demons might head to Ashenvale if they think this is a counter attack." Illidan pointed out

"That is true but we could just let them fight the demons and kill whoever survives." Drak'thul suggested

"Either way, we'll have to observe what happens." Illidan said

"That seems fair." Illysanna said and the three of them headed onto some more ruins above them, all the while with Illidan making them invisible

With the wardens

"Are you sure this is where Illidan went?" Maiev asked curiously, observing the ruins

"We followed his trail, mistress. The owl that picked up Illidan's ship was killed at sea." one of her wardens answered

"No matter. Illidan cannot run from me forever. Let's head inland and see if we can find anything that would pick up his trail." Maiev said and walked inlands

After a while of walking, Naisha eventually noticed something about the ruins. "Mistress, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't these ruins of night elven origin?" she asked

"I have noticed it too, Naisha. I am not certain about it yet but this reminds me of Suramar." Maiev answered as they all stopped

"Wait, Suramar? Wasn't that city sunk when the world was sundered?" one of her wardens asked, one of the very few male wardens in fact

"Yes it was but there might be some powers in this world capable of raising islands from the deeps. Be wary, everyone. There's no telling what we might find here." Maiev said before they all resumed walking

Unbeknownst to them, a Succubus was hiding among the ruins, using an invisibility spell of her own. Illidan saw right through her spell with his spectral sight but chose not to do anything yet. His group followed Maiev inland

"It's too dangerous for us to go in there." Maiev said as she found a decently sized clearing

"Mistress?" Naisha asked curiously

"We'll make camp here and split into groups. Find out what lurks in these islands. These ruins are the perfect place for an ambush." Maiev ordered and Naisha began barking orders

While they were preparing their things, multiple green fireballs headed their way. The Watchers were caught completely off guard and out of the forty that came, seven were killed almost instantly

"Ambush. Damn it. The demons are here as well." Maiev ordered and battle was joined. She looked towards the pathway that leads further inland and saw a lot of Fel Guards, Succubi, Doom Guards, Infernals and Fel Reavers coming in. Fel bats also swarmed the skies, all of them heading right for the kill

"Mistress, we're completely outnumbered." Naisha yelled as she was fighting some demons. Over half of the Watchers were dead in the first five minutes. They fought hard but they were horribly outnumbered. What they didn't realize is that just a small distance into the ruins, the Legion's outpost was there and they just attracted the attention of nearly all of the demons stationed there

After only twenty minutes of fighting, only Kor'vas, Naisha, Maiev and one of the male wardens were still standing but they have killed about a third of the demons

"This is bad." Naisha commented as the demons were closing in

At this point, Kor'vas was starting to regret her decision as well as the male warden that was with them. Maiev just kept her silence, knowing that her reckless choice has cost the lives of her remaining watchers

"You shall serve us well." the Doom Guard commander said and prepared a spell that would prevent them from moving when suddenly, the sky suddenly thundered. "Odd. A storm?" he wondered before moving to finish his spell

Before he could finish, multiple lightning bolts struck from the sky and instantly fried anyone hit. The sheer amount of lightning bolts that were called was enough to hit nearly all of the fel bats. All of the Fel Guards and Succubi were dead almost instantly. Other Doom Guards fared slightly better but were badly bleeding while the Infernals and Fel Reavers weren't affected that much. Their attention was soon taken when they heard screaming and noticed a demon killing his own

"Who are you? Why are you killing us?" the Doom Guard commander asked suspiciously but Illidan merely fired an eye beam at him, completely burning half of his body. "Why you!" he said and raised his hand but Illysanna suddenly cut it off before she went for the head

The other demons tried to save their commander but Illidan, and the rest of the watchers, fought and killed them all with the demon hunter unleashing chain lightning spells at the Fel Bats. Soon after that, all the demons were killed

Illidan looked at Maiev, who was bleeding from multiple injuries, along with the rest of her watchers, and grinned at them. "Well, well. Looks like you got yourself into some trouble, Warden." he said mockingly

"Betrayer. I will still put you back in your cage." Maiev hissed and tried to cut his head off with her ring blade. To her surprise, Illidan just caught it barehandedly and unleashed fire, slowly burning the blade. Maiev's eyes widened at this as not only was Illidan able to catch her blade with his hand, but was also effortlessly destroying it. She pulled it back after nearly half was burned and looked at the other wardens, who didn't seem too keen on fighting the demon hunter, even Naisha. "What are you all doing? Arrest him!" she hissed once more

"Are you really that stupid, Maiev?" Kor'vas asked with a dumbfounded face. "Illidan just saved us from the demons and you want us to fight him. Do you really think we can win against him now?" she said, tilting her head and noticed an orc warlock walking towards them and stood behind Illidan

"She's right. If we fight him, we'll all be killed." the male warden said

"And who are you?" Illidan asked curiously as he didn't know night elf males even joined the watchers

"Altruis Darkfury." he answered and received a curious look from Illysanna. "What?"

"Strange. I never knew that males were allowed to join the watchers." Illysanna commented and realized he didn't recognize her. "Illysanna Ravencrest." she introduced herself to him

"Wait, Illysanna Ravencrest? I thought you were dead." Naisha said in surprise

"Well, obviously I'm not." Illysanna said and had a look that basically said she had no intention to explain herself while Maiev just kept her silence and glared at them all

"Originally, it was just females who joined but males soon joined a few thousand years ago. To take advantage of this, Maiev ordered their existence to be kept a secret and act as spies so we can identify any potential criminals." Naisha explained and realized that only Illidan was aware of her. "Naisha Windsong, Maiev's second in command."

"The more important question is, what are you going to do now, wardens?" Drak'thul asked as his staff glowed, ready to kill them at a moment's notice

"Hold up." Naisha said and prevented any further fighting from happening. "If we're all against the Legion, then we should probably find out if there are more of them out there." she suggested and Maiev just glared at her all the more. If glares could kill, Naisha would be dead. However, unlike Maiev, Naisha had no intention of fighting Illidan. If neither Malfurion nor Tyrande supported this, then it might be true that he earned his freedom

Instead of giving an answer, Drak'thul began walking on the path the demons came from with Illysanna and Illidan following him. The four watchers grew curious at this and followed. They soon reached an area of the ruins that was burning

"I see. So, while we were getting slaughtered, you destroyed this outpost." Maiev hissed and tried to kick Illidan, who dodged it easily before grabbing her by the neck. Maiev dropped her blade as she tried to break free but Illidan was too strong. The demon hunter looked at the other watchers. They were worried that he would kill her but they didn't do anything. Only Naisha readied her blade but Illysanna put hers on her neck

"Try something and you die before she does." Illysanna threatened Naisha, who was forced to drop her blade

"You're not really with her are you, Kor'vas?" Illidan asked. He noticed that he would suffocate Maiv so he dropped her and she was gasping for breath

Kor'vas merely shook her head in response. "I wanted an excuse to find you."

"Why is that?" the demon hunter asked

"I wish to join you." Kor'vas said and surprised the watchers. They honestly thought that they would just go home after this and no one expected this

"So, you were with the betrayer after all." Maiev hissed as she slowly got up

"Stop calling him betrayer, Shadowsong." Kor'vas growled out. "You disobeyed Tyrande's orders not to capture Illidan and you led us all to our deaths all because he nearly killed your brother and that was over ten thousand years ago. Illidan has earned his freedom when he killed two Dreadlords and a Pit Lord all on his own. It is you who should be locked in a cage for getting the rest of the watchers killed." she hissed to the warden before looking at Illidan. "I want to follow you, Illidan. My family was living near the edge of Ashenvale Forest. I joined the Sentinels about two decades ago but I always felt something was off. What happened ten thousand years ago was something that most, if not, all, night elves knew about but we didn't do anything. When the Legion returned, we were next to helpless against them. My family was among the first that the Legion killed as they marched through southern Ashenvale. I never want to be that helpless again."

"Seems like we're the same." Illysanna commented in understanding. "And I'm guessing you also lost faith in Tyrande or Malfurion?" she asked curiously and Kor'vas merely nodded

Illidan didn't need that much more to be convinced. Out of all the night elves, only Kor'vas did something for him out of her own free will. "That's fine by me." he said, much to Illysanna's relief as Kor'vas seemed someone who she can relate with. "If anyone else wants to come with me, meet us on the coast to the east by noon tomorrow. The Legion is still on this world." he said before suddenly summoning one of his twin blades and slashing Maiev from her right shoulder to her left hip, killing her. He then casually walked away like he didn't do anything with Kor'vas, Illysanna and Drak'thul following him

Altruis didn't really care too much about it and for good reason. His leader just led them to their deaths on an unauthorized manhunt. Naisha was horrified that her surperior was murdered in cold blood but she should have expected that considering Illidan's personality and reputation. She was mad at the demon hunter but at the same time, she was mad at Maiev because she just couldn't let this go. Instead, she just carried her body and dug a grave near where their ships were

"I'm going with him." Altruis said while they were digging up the ground

"Why?" Naisha asked curiously

"The same reason as the others. Kor'vas simply wants revenge and I can't really blame her. However, after knowing that Illidan warned us that the Legion would return yet we chose to ignore it, I just can't let it go. Before we left, the others just considered it settled and if the demons are here, then they could be anywhere as well. Besides, I can tell, there's something Illidan is hiding. I want to know what it is and I most definitely don't want to be caught off guard again the way we were when the Legion came." Altruis explained

Naisha just had a contemplative look on her face. She really couldn't blame him after what Maiev did. Now, all of the watchers were dead except for the two of them and while she can simply get new recruits, Maiev's reckless actions might be a problem. Unlike Maiev, she was a sensible person and was well aware that they could get punished. She wasn't sure what would happen when she gets back but she does know that Illidan will kill her if she tries something. Naisha figured that the demon hunter realized that they were just dragged along . Ultimately, she decided to return to Ashenvale and face the consequences instead of sticking with Illidan and running away

The next day, Altruis found Illidan and the others readying a ship that belonged to Kul'tiras which the Legion used. Naisha went with Altruis as he went to meet with Illidan and surprisingly, he gave her a dagger

"What's this?" Naisha asked the demon hunter and observed the rest of his group board one of the ships

"Don't bother trying to lie, Naisha. I'm well aware that you were against Maiev's orders to capture me. Perhaps that can help lower whatever sanction Tyrande might give you. Just show it to her. She'll know what it is." Illidan said and boarded

Naisha had a grateful expression on her face and concluded that perhaps Illidan wasn't that bad

This chapter, I wanted to focus a bit more on Illysanna. I for one, do not understand how she ended up with the Illidari. Like the others, her loss to the Legion is what drove her to be on the path she is on. I'm going to keep that for the other demon hunters but as mentioned before, I will add how they ended up in Illidan's forces. The blood elves kinda made sense since Kael did serve Illidan for a while but the night elves, I legit have no idea how they travelled to Outland unnoticed, unless I'm missing something but whatever. Lastly don't expect any romance or something. If anything, Illysanna and Illidan will have some kind of father / daughter relationship

About the spectral sight, I actually learned that demon hunters can switch between regular sight and their spectral sight. I'm not sure how fast demon hunters can shift between the two different sights but in this story, they won't be able to do so instantly. It would take them a few seconds on concentration in order to shift. This would also mean that the time Illidan learned about that is when he was imprisoned

In the chapter, Kor'vas was referred to as a 'watcher' or 'warden'. However, that isn't the case. That was simply with Illysanna and Drak'thul not knowing about her and for simplicity's sake in writing

I also decided to add in Drak'thul. For those who don't know who he is, he is an npc in the second night elf mission after Maiev arrives in the Broken Isles. He gave her the task to kill some ghosts that were haunting him even though they were really just killing each other

Speaking of Maiev, yeah that's right. I killed her this early. I don't think it's too unprecedented since I'm sure many hates her character. I don't personally hate her but at the same time, I don't like her. I'm just neutral on her so meh. I was even surprised that she was still alive in TBC

That's about it for now
