Hi this is BK13 and BKSIS(BK's sister)Sorry about the short chapter. We've been having writers block to the fullest. Any way here it is.

Keefe POV:

I was reading in my room when Max, Jessie and Olivia came in. "WERE HOME!" shouted Jessie.

"Be quiet. Your parents might be busy." I heard Olivia say. I got up and walked down the stairs. They were taking off their coats, Jessie finished and jumped on to the couch. "Jessie! Don't do that you'll break it."

"It's okay, Liv. We always do that. You know I thought you would be used to it by now, you have been babysitting us since we were two." Max said, walking to the kitchen.

"Just because I'm used to it doesn't mean it's okay," she huffed. Jessie turned around on the couch to look at me, "Knew I heard you coming down. How was your walk back? Did you talk with Sophie?"

"Yes we all walked back together, and I know you're implying that I like her. Well I don't, so stop it." I retorted "Fineeee." Said Max " Speaking of girls…"

Jessie shot Max ( a you're so dead if you say something glare) "Don't you dare."

"You know, you met John's sister, Laila today?"

"Yeah?" I said

"Well we've known them for a long time and guess what, someone has a crush on one of the twins ." He pointed to Jessie. His face got red with embarrassment then with anger. He grabbed Max and pushed him down onto the sofa and started to sit on him. "Hey! You guys, knock it off," said Olivia trying to separate them.

"YOU SAID YOU WOULD KEEP IT A SECRET!" They fell off the couch and started to roll around on the floor.

"Relax lover boy, I didn't tell Laila that you've had a crush on her since second grade." He tried to push him off.

"Second grade?" I said

"Yup and he's been trying to tell her but every time he try's she starts to talk about her boring books."

"THEY'RE NOT BORING!"

"See!" He said, still trying to get Jessie off him, "He's protecting her."

"No I'm not! I'm protecting you! Last time you said something mean about Laila's books you got a black eye." I was kind of shocked. What type of kid knows how to give their friend a black eye. And to my answer Olivia whispered in my ear "She used to do karate, I think she still remembers how to punch." I didn't want to add my name to the list of people with girl problems so I walked up the stairs and said "I'm not going to be part of this anymore. Bye!" I closed my door.

Sophie POV:

"Hey Soybean, how was your morning?" my dad asked. "Good." I didn't tell dad that Keefe had walked me home because he was like Grady, and like Grady, he'd probably go crazy if he heard a boy walked me home. I ran upstairs to my small room and sitting on my chair was Amy. "Hey, what are you doing in my room?" She shrugged

"Dunno, just wanted to sit in your chair. Anyway, how was the snowball fight?"

"Good, I met these twins, Laila and John. John's a troublemaker and Laila talks a lot and reads." I started to think about what she had said "Hey, Laila told me a book. I think it was Percy Jac-?" At the word Amy stood up, "Sophie, your life has started." She dashed out of my room and came back with a well loved book. She passed it to me "Here. The first book is called the Lightning Thief." I started to read but it was very hard because Amy was looming over me. (A/N my sister does this to me all the time) "What are you doing?" I asked, annoyed by the distraction.

"I'm reading of course." Trying to flip the page

"Yeah, but why on top of me?"

"Because I want to read it too and I don't have another copy."

I didn't complain, a few minutes later I was absolutely in the book. I kept reading for another hour and when mom called us down for dinner. There was lasagna and asparagus. Amy grabbed a big chunk out of both. "How was your day?" mom asked everyone.

"Fine." Amy mumbled

"I went to the park with my friends from school."I said, taking a bite of the pasta.

"Who did you go with?" asked dad suspiciously.

"Oh just with Fawn, Alex, Keefe, and Luca. After a while we talked to Laila and John."

"That sounds fun. I was at the library with my friends," said Amy. The rest of dinner continued like that until mom said something that surprised me, "Sophie you need a phone." Apparently this was a shock for my dad too, but Amy nodded like she expected this. "Why?" I asked.

"Well you are sixteen years old. You need some way to contact home if you want to stay out or need someone to pick you up."

"Why would she stay out?" dad asked worriedly

"Well she has friends and I'm sure Fawn would be happy to have Sophie over one of these days."

"Ok. When do I get it?" I was starting to feel excited. Fawn was a great friend and it would give me more time to convince Keefe to come home.

"We can go get you one tomorrow." mom said, closing the discussion with a look. Amy and I excused ourselves and walked to my room. "Sophie, you have just been given permission by the High Queen Mother to stay out with friends! Do you know how lucky you are? I've been begging for two whole years to go with my friends to places. And right out of the gate you get it!"

"Yes. I know, I know it's a big deal. I get it, but I'm tired and need to sleep."

"Ok sorry, Soph. But I'm just so excited or you!" exclaimed Amy as she left. I turned off the light, and fell asleep.
