MEANWHILE IN THE HOSPITAL
That was a chaotic day. The doctors were full of patients and you know they didn't stop for a second that morning.
- Quiet lady, your husband will recover completely, you can go home tomorrow if the values remain so unchanged. He will have to continue the drug therapy and then go for a check-up, but everything should be resolved in a short time. Will said to the wife of one of his patients.
As she spoke she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. She usually put it away in the locker, but that day she had forgotten to do so.
She had written to Jay about the surprise she would have had since it was her birthday and instead of storing it as usual, she had put it in a pocket. She had heard it ring, but she was talking and couldn't catch it. It had struck a second time and it was strange it had happened so quickly.
When she finished speaking she took him to see who he was and call back. She put her hand in her pocket and… it was still playing. As soon as she looked at him to see who was chiselling she stopped.
TO THE DISTRICT
Antonio had put the phone away in annoyance at not being able to call Will.
Whatever was happening to his brother seemed serious and it was right for him to know before the ambulance got to the hospital.
Brett and Foster arrived as soon as they arrived at the precinct entrance and Antonio motioned for Adam to direct them upstairs to him.
- What do we have? Brett asked the senior detective
- I have no idea it's weird all day. Lots of tiredness and pain somewhere for sure. He had sore eyes for a while today, I gave him some eye drops. But let's talk about Jay, when you ask him how he is he answers you well even though he is falling apart. - Antonio said while the paramedics visited the boy.
Meanwhile Adam watched from the door what was happening worried.
-I think he had a stomach ache and surely he will have vomited, maybe even more than once. - added the detective.
- Well stomach pain, red eyes, fatigue, cyanosis, vomiting ... They look like clear signs of poisoning - Foster said.
-Poisoning? Dawson and Ruzek asked in unison.
-We have to get him to Med as quickly as possible.- Brett said -Not knowing when he came into contact with the poison, immediate action is needed.
- Adam - Antonio said - help me get down the stretcher from the stairs to the ambulance.
Once Jay has been loaded onto the ambo, this party goes off, followed by the eldest detective.
- In ten minutes we will be at the med. Notify us of our arrival, "Brett told Foster.
While he was driving the cell phone Antonio had put in his pocket, he rang and he answered.
- Hey little brother what's up why all these calls? Will asked waiting for an answer from his brother.
- Will, I'm Antonio - answered the detective driving.
- Antonio? Where is Jay? What happened? the doctor asked worriedly. It was never a good sign when someone other than Jay called from his brother's phone and then all those times
- He's been sick all day. I tried to help him with everything, but then he collapsed. I called the ambulance, they should be there in about five minutes. Dawson said
- OK it's good. But what happened? Will asked terrified. If he was taken to be taken to the hospital it had to be something serious, Jay hated going there and avoided them whenever possible.
- Well the paramedics were talking about poisoning. The detective said.
- What? - Said the doctor.
- I think Will is serious. He was having difficulty breathing. Antonio said in a low voice.
Ok, all right - answered the doctor and then closed the call.
