I Can't Save you
Chapter Seven
The lab was able to come up with the answer of the patient's bloodstream has been poison. There was a long name for it and the lab called the doctors to give them the answer.
Once the antidote was given to the patient. Leroy Jethro Gibbs was feeling better. However now both the hospital, Metro police, and NCIS had thought it was a good idea to place security outside of his room.
Director Leon Vance had come to visit the next morning asking questions as to who the drug had gotten into his agent's bloodstream. He had spoken with McGee and his team in charge for now to check any or all of the security video feed.
Gibbs was sitting up watching TV with the remote feeling better since getting stabbed and poison within the past few days. "Leon I am surprised to see you here?" he said with a tone that surprised him.
"Why? Didn't you know that you were stabbed by Riveria and poison?" Leon will say to think that Gibb's memory was off slightly.
"Of course I know Leon. I just don't feel up to talking all that much?" he commented.
"Anyway, I have NCIS working on your poisoning on whether they will be able to see on the security footage whether or not anyone was seen."
"The only one that was in my room at the time was a male aid helping me with my food, cleaning up, and making sure that the tubes in my arm were okay. I wasn't able to watch him all of the time. Do you think that it might have been him in the first place?"
"Possible!" Leon said when his phone rang that was sitting inside his jacket pocket. "It's McGee," Leon answered the phone. 'What do you have McGee?"
"We arrested Gibb's aid and he gave himself up Director. He's willing to give all of the names involved with the local Cartel. He's scared that they will be trying to go after Gibbs and Marcie. Plus most of all he once he goes to prison. He wants the Witness protection Program involved Director Vance." Tim said over the phone.
"Very well I will be coming to NCIS to call the Witness Protection Program manager for the local region. No doubt they will be sending agents once all of the information was given.
"I will tell the suspect waiting in processing with two security guards watching over him," Tim replied before hanging up with the connection.
Leon turned to face Gibbs. "Are you alright?" he had to know with his friend.
"I will be once I get out of here and back to the house with Marcie and Lucy." Gibbs needed to say.
"Okay, I am going to say this only one time. There is a chance that I will speak with SECNAV and see what we can do about reinstate you back to the job within the month. But once you're getting better I will need for you to speak with Doctor Confalone. Please be sure to set it up with her when you're ready Gibbs."
"Fine. But at what cost Leon?" a question Leon wasn't able to understand his meaning.
"What are you talking about Gibbs?" Leon was standing over his bed with the shake of his head.
"Besides Doctor Confalone what else do I have to do to condone with my position as Supervisor team leader?" he said with a strong tone of voice.
"Just make sure that you don't get into that position again for what had happened with getting suspended in the first place, Gibbs? I don't wish to see this happened or else you're gone for good. Do I make myself nice and clear?" he threatened.
"Crystal clear Leon. Now get out of here to let me make that call to Doctor Confalone before I change my mind?" Gibbs needed to say with the stress building once again.
"I will leave now," he says with walking out of the room to head out back to NCIS. Watching him leave. Gibbs grabbing his phone on the tray with his hand with a slight grimace with his wound. However, he was able to manage for now.

DOCTOR CONAFLONE OFFICE
The good doctor had arrived back to her office after meeting up with a new patient outside of the hospital. Sitting on down at her desk and with taking a look at her messages from the service. She was just getting ready to pick up the phone when it started to ring. She had to take a look at the caller I.D., she grumbled slightly.
However, she had no choice but to speak with him. "Special Agent Gibbs how can I help you today?"
"Doc how are you? I am sorry to be bothering you like this. But in order for me to get back to work, I will need to speak with you a few times. When is the best time to talk with you here in my room?"
"Let me check the appointment book, Gibbs. Please hold on?" she said quietly. She pulled her calendar on the computer terminal. "Okay how about I come now to start with the first session?" she replied.
"It's fine with me as if I was going anywhere," Gibbs said with sarcasm in his voice over the phone.
"I will be there in ten minutes. Do you need anything at all?" she had to ask.
"A cheeseburger!" he joked for the most part. "See you soon doctor." He cried out with his response.
Placing the phone back onto the table. He looked at the time in order to wait for the doctor to arrive. He wanted to get this over with the session and with getting back to work.
Meanwhile, Doctor Confalone had packed up her things again with the briefcase with the main items she was going to be needing for the session with the famous Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
Walking out of her office. She had taken the elevator up to the tenth floor another edition for ICU with the overflow of patients due to the Coronavirus. Taking the elevator opening up with other employees of the hospital. She arrived onto the floor to head for Gibb's room asking the nurse's station for the location.
