The following morning, the doctors released Kirishima into Bakugou's care. His arm was wrapped in a sling and most of his torso was bandaged up. Thankfully, he could walk without much issue. He was mostly just sore. The couple made their way back to the apartment. Bakugou instructed Kirishima to sit on the couch while he went and made breakfast.

"Babe you don't need to… you barely slept last night." Kirishima pouted.

"And you haven't eaten since breakfast yesterday. So, we are eating then we are taking a nap." Bakugou said firmly. Kirishima sighed, knowing better to argue with his partner. He made his home on the couch and rest a bit. Everything still hurt.

A short while later, Bakugou came back with some fried eggs and rice. He set the plate in front of Kirishima and adjusted the living room table, so it was closer to him. The injured man ate slowly, finding it difficult with one arm and sore movements. Bakugou ate his breakfast and disappeared in the backroom. He was still in his hero costume and he had brought home Kirishima's. Sero was kind enough to bring the injured man some fresh clothes while he was in the hospital. By the time Bakugou returned, Kirishima had finished most of the food and was laying down on the couch. Bakugou gave an internal sigh and cleaned up the plates. Soon, he was back in the living room when he picked up Kirishima and carried him to the bedroom.

"Babe…" Kirishima whined. "I'm injured not broken."

"And you were almost asleep on the couch." Bakugou said. He laid his fiancé on his side of the bed. Kirishima got comfortable as Bakugou climbed in on his side of the bed. Kirishima laid on his side and Bakugou pulled him close.

"Little spoon? Really?" Kirishima grumbled sleepily.

"Yep now sleep." Bakugou said. He was damn exhausted himself. Kirishima gave a sleepy nod and soon the pair drifted off to sleep.

Recovery was quick for Kirishima. He was determined to get back to work. Bakugou had stayed home for a few days to help him recover before returning to the agency. There were 6 escaped convicts on the loose still after all. After a week of healing, Kirishima returned to work. His arm was a little stiff from being in the sling, but he felt like brand new. And he was ready to fight!

The morning meeting reported no signs of any of the escaped villains. They practically disappeared after the one was captured. It made Bakugou feel very uneasy. He had an unbelievably bad feeling about everything… and he was right to.

That day, Bakugou paired with Kirishima to do patrol with. He wanted to keep a close eye on his fiancé. He knew he wasn't quite 100% yet, no matter what the red head said. The morning went by quickly, no issues to report. They were patrolling in the west side of the city, which Kirishima never patrolled. The couple was in the city center when the news screen went to breaking news. Bakugou turned his attention to the large breaking news alert.

"This just in… pro hero and teacher at UA high school, Eraser-head, has just been reported to be murdered." The news anchor said. The words sat like a lead ball in the explosion heroes' stomach. "Shota Aizawa, age 39, and known as the pro hero Eraser-head, went after some of the escaped villains that have been on the loose for nearly two weeks now. In that battle, the legendary man lost his life protecting citizens from the devastating villains. They were attempting to get into UA high school when it all happened. Other pro heroes were able to subdue the villains and Aizawa was rushed to a local hospital where he passed away. The world will be forever changed by this passing…"

"No…" Kirishima said looking at the news. "That's impossible! Eraser-head couldn't have been killed…"

"Come on… we are going to the agency now." Bakugou basically growled.

"Wait!" Kirishima grabbed his hand. Bakugou almost blew his fiancé up at the sudden stop. "Look…" he pointed back to the news board.

"Breaking now! We have an update on the villains who escaped! Two have been captured however, the third who is being charged with the final blow to pro hero Eraser-head, has escaped police custody! Please be on the lookout for this man." A photo appeared of a young man, no more than 25. He has blue hair and piercing violet eyes. "His quirk is still unknown at this time. It seems he favors a sword to attack citizens with. Please- do not approach this man. Call the police immediately or let a pro hero nearby know of his whereabouts."

"Let's go. He probably is near here. UA is only a few miles away." Kirishima said. Bakugou sparked his hands a bit.

"I'm gonna blow that scum to bits." He growled. The two quickly went on the hunt for the blue haired villain. The blood boiled in Bakugou's veins. He had grown close to Mr. Aizawa his last year of UA. He has been so confused on his feelings towards Kirishima that he found solace in the pro hero. He couldn't believe such a strong hero died to some scum… it couldn't be true. They were hunting down a dark alley towards the UA campus. It felt heavy… different than the rest of the city.

A blade slid past Bakugou's face. He quickly dodged it and moved out of the way. Kirishima tried to land a punch on the villain but he easily evaded him. The duo rejoined and faced the villain. It was the one from the news… same blue hair and purple eyes. He wore a mask to cover the bottom half of his face. He was tall, being the same height as the male heroes. He had a sword in one hand and the other in his pocket. He pointed the katana blade at the pair.

"What are you heroes doing here?" the villain asked in a deep voice.

"Looking for you." Kirishima said. Bakugou sparked his hands.

"You the asshole who attacked UA?" Bakugou growled.

"And if I am?" the villain raised a brow.

"You're under arrest." Kirishima said, hardening and hitting his fists together.

"Fuck that! He's gonna die!" Bakugou yelled. He ran towards the villain to land an attack. He pushed his hand to the villain's face and used his quirk to set off an explosion. The smoke cleared and Bakugou was shocked to see not even a scratch on him. The villain swung the katana to slice at Bakugou. He barely clipped his shirt before he jumped back.

"That's a neat trick." Kirishima smirked. He went in for the offense, running in and swinging at the villain. The villain blocked with his katana but Kirishima's solid skin took the blow like it was nothing. The villain blocked all but one of the punched, letting it hit his face. Kirishima smirked and finished the blow. The villain would have went flying by that punch, but he stood perfectly still like nothing ever touched him. Kirishima's eyes widened. He didn't realize the katana swung at him and hit him in the side. It sent him flying into the wall but thanks to Kirishima's quirk he took no damage.

"Have you two figured it out yet?" He raised a brow. Ash started to float off the villain's body and went to the ground. The ash was like a protective armor for the villain.

"So that's your quirk?" Bakugou said. "I'll just have to blow all that dust away!"

"Good luck with that." The villain said. "I can control it… make it armor… make it attack you… even make it smother you to death." The ash began to swirl around the villain. "You have a choice… you can leave now and live or stay and die. The choice is yours."

"I told you already… you're the one dying here today!" Bakugou yelled. He set off a large explosion behind him to distract the villain while Kirishima went in for a sneak attack. The ash quickly blocked it and caught Kirishima. Kirishima tried to break himself free but was stuck in the ash. The ash crawled up his arm, beginning to engulf it. Kirishima was beginning to freak out. However, Bakugou came up and set off an explosion above his arm, making the ash scatter and Kirishima broke free. The villain swung the blade upwards and sliced Bakugou's cheek and part of his chest. The duo jumped away.

"Kats…" Kirishima looked over at his partner.

"I'm fine it's a small cut." He growled. Kirishima nodded slightly. Suddenly both males heard white noise from their earpieces before talking was hear.

"Attention all heroes… report back to the agency ASAP. I repeat… all heroes… return to the agency ASAP. No exceptions." The voice was Deku. Bakugou hissed a bit… what shit timing.

"Well it seems you have been summoned." The villain said flatly. "Don't worry I'm sure we will meet again. However, it is only fair you know the name of the person who will eventually kill you."

"Yeah? What do you call yourself villain? We will get your death certificate and toe tag ready." Bakugou growled.

"Minx. I will meet you again soon pro heroes." The blue hair man said flatly before he disappeared into the ash. It was almost like he was entirely ash… just gone in the wind.

Kirishima and Bakugou immediately returned to the agency. They found everyone in the meeting room. Mina was quick to notice the boys dirty and bloody. She jumped up to grab the first aid kit but Kirishima shook his head to tell her to leave it. She hesitantly sat down.

"Are you guys ok?" Deku asked softly.

"Yeah. Why are we here?" Bakugou said sharply before sitting down.

"Well since everyone's here now… I'm sure some have seen the news." Deku sighed. "The attack at UA high today… 2 of three villains were captured. One escaped…"

"Yeah we found him in an alley nearby." Bakugou said.

"Ah… that's what happened to you guys." Deku said sheepishly.

"Did you get any information on him?" Todoroki asked.

"Yes… his quirk is controlling ash. He can use it for offense and defense. He is skilled with a katana. His name is Minx." Kirishima said.

"Well… he is top priority at this time." Deku said. "He was able to beat Eraser head…" Bakugou's entire body tensed at that.

"When is the funeral?" Kirishima asked softly.

"Well about that." Todoroki said, joining Deku in the front. "He… isn't actually dead. He is severely injured. He is alive in ICU at the hospital. But only pro heroes know. It isn't to leave this room. The media said he was murdered to avoid chaos at the hospital. And he will most likely be retired after this…"

"Don't worry guys our sensei wouldn't go down that easy." Deku gave a goofy grin. It definitely lightened the mood. Every muscle in Bakugou's body relaxed. He didn't even notice the tears slipping down his face until Kirishima carefully wiped them off. He looked at Kirishima who gave him a warm toothy grin.

"So… we will be hunting this villain. He injured a top 10 hero, so this isn't a light matter. Please… if you find this villain report it immediately. Do not attempt to fight. Everyone is in groups of 3 to 5 until his capture. No exceptions." Deku said. "News of Eraser-head stays here. To the public you are to act like he is dead. I trust all of you to do that. Go home and get rest."

The pro heroes headed back to their homes. Kirishima bandaged Bakugou's cuts gently as they changed out of their hero costumes. Bakugou kissed Kirishima softly as a thank you. Kirishima pulled his partner to their bedroom and onto the soft cushy bed. He curled up with his fiancé, snuggling into his side.

"I love you Kats… you fought great out there today." Kirishima said warmly.

"I love you too Eiji. Thank you for taking care of me." Bakugou said softly. "I'm sorry I turned into a mess out there…"

"Hush! You had every right to be… Aizawa sensei was a big help for us and molded us into the pro heroes we are today." Kirishima said. "We will go visit him once he's out and this villain is captured. We can get the Baku squad back together!"

"Yeah we all can patrol together now with our new orders." Bakugou smirked. "Can't wait to stop Mina and Denki from fucking in an alley way on the clock."

"Oh god…" Kirishima laughed. "I think they can behave… the key word is think."

"We will get this fucker… no matter what. We don't go down that easy." Bakugou said. He closed his eyes and wrapped an arm around his partner. Kirishima nodded and napped alongside his now relaxed fiancé. Tomorrow would be another battle.
