Both calls out to him at the same time worried for him, Ryuunosuke looks at them with his still terrified one but it turned back to it's usually back to his normal expression.
"Good morning to you as well.
Rem, Lia-Chi."
Ryuunosuke gives them the blinding smile he always gives them.
"Are you okay? Did you have a nightmare?"
"Nightmare? Don't know what you mean.
Come on don't waste time here let's go start the day!"
Ryuunosuke says as he holds his fist up high
"You worried me there, Let's go get food."
"That's right, I'll cook a delicious meal to you Ryuu-Sama."
"To the kitchen then."
Ryuunosuke says as he hides his shaking hand in his back.
"What the hell was that..
Was that really just..
A dream?"
Ryuunosuke shakes the thought away to not worry the two.
Chapter Six:
Truth
_
The residence of the Manor,
Takes their respective sit as they eat the morning meal made by the maids.
Everyone except Roswaal was in the Dining Room.
As they eat, they look towards Ryuunosuke
Who was only spacing out as he stares at the food.
"Is the food not to your liking Ryuu-Sama?"
Rem says in a worried tone
"How horrible Ryuunosuke-Sama, to only stare at the food made by ram and rem."
"Is something wrong Ryuu-kun?"
Emilia says also beginning to worry at the boy.
"Hm? Don't worry don't worry, I was just blinded by how delicious looking this food is!"
Ryuunosuke says with a smile, as he now eats but at a slow pace. Normally he would eat like a starving dog.
Emilia and Rem keeps the worry for him inside them as they didn't pry further.
Ryuunosuke's "dream" earlier
"The endless abyss again?"
Ryuunosuke says as he looks around at the endless nothing with little shiny stars.
"You're back so soon?"
The black mist appears again.
"It seems so, heck who even are you?"
"Hmm.. who am I indeed."
The black mist says and lets out a chuckle
"Are you..
The one that teleported me to this place?
No to be more accurate, are you the one that summoned me in this world?
If so I'd appreciate it if you return me back,
I don't belong here."
The black mist paused before speaking
"An error."
"An error? The hell you mean error"
"You do not belong in that realm,
It was a miscalculation."
"Ha? Then are you saying that I belong here?"
"No. No. You also don't belong here
Ryuu."
Ryuunosuke got annoyed by the short unexplainable answers he was given.
"I don't really care where I belong, I just need to go back to take care of that brat, and my gang."
The black mist pauses again before laughing
"You don't remember? How ironic."
The black mist begins to surround Ryuunosuke's body.
"Hmm I see.
It's not that you don't remember,
But you can't remember.
Then allow me to show you different
Realities of what truly happened."
The black mist enters Ryuunosuke's body and felt a sensation.
"Why do I keep teleporting arou-"
He was shocked at what he was currently
Seeing with his eyes.
What he saw was his friend's body
Lifeless as he holds a gun on his right arm.
"What the-
What the hell is this!"
He roared but felt the same sensation once again.
And there he saw his subordinate holding his little sister's lifeless body.
This time he kept silent, and had an emotional expression but when one looked at his eyes
He had an endless abyss look, one where if you look at it, you would only fall endlessly.
And as he feels the same sensation
Over and over, as it only showed each different scenarios. He saw the world only burning as he stood on the pile of countless corpses
One where he was stabbed by many swords, spears and gunshots goes through his body.
Although it should be just dream, he felt all
All off it.
But could only endure it as he couldn't control his body.
And another scenario where he was fighting, but the one he was fighting was his own group.
His gang.
He couldn't move but only feel, as he slaughtered each and every single one.
He felt like he spent a very long time there as the scenarios kept going.
But suddenly a different scenario appears, where he was resting at someone's lap as the person pat their head.
He looks up and saw the familiar silver hair along with the amethyst colored eyes.
But he knew that it was a different person.
He didn't have any proof, but he just felt it.
The silver haired girl just gets up as she lays his head on the soft Grass
And walks away.
He couldn't move like the other scenarios as he could only watch the silver haired girl walk away in the endless darkness.
"Don't go.."
Ryuunosuke says as he tried to move his arm but failed
He felt the sensation again, but this time he was back to the endless abyss.
"Do you get it now? What you saw was other realities of what happened in your world."
The black mist says towards the expressionless boy
"Then..
What happened in my world?"
Ryuunosuke says with a serious tone but still kept his expressionless facade.
"Now who knows? All I can answer is that the world you want me to return you too...
Does not exist anymore."
The black mist says as Ryuunosuke
Appeared in front of him with mana charged in his hand.
Ryuunosuke then slams all the mana he gathered towards the black mist.
As the attack shook the whole endless abyss itself
As the blast of his mana engulfs the little light that was in there.
"How violent, It is also an upsetting thing for me.
"Hey black mist, are you...
My enemy?"
Ryuunosuke asks the mysterious mist
With veins on his head and looks that wanted..
No needed to kill
The black mist only spaced out at his question
"I am not the who will decide that.
It is you who will.
As of right now, I am neither.
However it will come.
The time where you will make your decision.
Now like I said the world you were in doesn't exist anymore.
But if you wish to find the reason, then you must stay here.
As you keep going to the path you are going,
The answer will show.
Until then.
Ryuu."
A light suddenly emerges as he went towards it, and he could feel his body responding to his command.
Then he awakened.
To the familiar spot where he laid down yesterday.
He looks beside him and met the worried eyes of Emilia and Rem.
And he "smiled" towards them to not worry them.
Back to the present
Everyone was finished eating, and left the dining room except for Rem and Emilia.
"Ryuu-Kun are you really okay?"
"Ryuu-Sama, if something is bothering you
I can help you if you just say the word!"
Rem says determined
Ryuunosuke looks at rem a bit surprised,
As he wonders about the previous rem that was disgusted and feared him when he came to the mansion.
"Rem is a bit embarrassed if you keep staring at rem like that, but rem doesn't mind!"
Rem says with red cheeks.
"No need to worry, I'm all fine.
You should start your day now, your tasks won't magically finish itself."
Ryuunosuke tells the both of them, as rem leaves the dining room to do her chores.
"Now how about you Lia-Chi,
Do you want some milk? It helps you grow into a big strong girl."
Ryuunosuke teases the silver haired Girl
"Hmp, don't treat me like a kid!
I was just worried about you..
And I'm already big enough, how about you sleep more instead since you need to grow more taller!"
Emilia hits the nail, as what she said affected Ryuunosuke.
"How mean."
Ryuunosuke says as he goes towards the exit
"Where are you going?"
Emilia says towards Ryuunosuke.
"I'll go outside in a bit, just need to ask Beatrice something."
"Then I'll come with, Beatrice-San is quite hard to find as she uses her door-crossing magic."
"Well we don't need to look that far,
I am quite lucky with things like that."
Ryuunosuke says as he opens a door revealing the library with Beatrice sitting in a tool right at the door.
"Beatrice, can I get another check-up?"
Beatrice stares at the boy
"How annoying, I suppose."
Emilia also enters the door
"Another check-up, is something wrong with your body Ryuu-Kun? I can heal you if your wounded."
Emilia says towards Ryuunosuke
"No it isn't that, I just have a hunch on why I have the witch's scent."
That picked the blonde girl's interest.
"I guess it'll be worth my while, I suppose.
Come here"
Ryuunosuke places his hand on the back of the blonde girl's head.
The blonde girl looked annoyed but stayed still.
Ryuunosuke bumps his forehead on Beatrice,
As he concentrated.
"What is th-"
"Focus, it's rather hard to do this."
Ryuunosuke says as he concentrated deeply.
Emilia was amazed by the flow of mana coming from him, as she remembers him not available to control it before.
"This is.."
Beatrice says as Ryuunosuke separates from her.
"So what do you think Beatrice.."
"It's deeply hidden and a very unique
As a I hate to admit it but I can't do anything about it I suppose."
"So I'm right, I'm cursed."
Emilia looks surprised at Ryuunosuke
"Ryuu-kun is cursed? Will you be okay?
Do you feel fine? How did you get it?"
Emilia bombards the boy with many question.
"I have no idea, but the curse isn't doing anything to me right now.
But it should be one of the reason why I lost parts of my memories.
Well now that I confirmed it, I guess mystery solved."
Ryuunosuke says nonchalantly as he exits the door.
Emilia followed him soon after.
Beatrice stares at the door that is now closed.
"He has the witch's scent, and he could guess the location of my library even with my magic.
And that unique mana..
Could he be that person? Mother."
Beatrice says.
Ryuunosuke and Emilia was now right outside the manor.
"Hmm Lia-Chi what do you usually do?"
"At this time I should be talking to the spirits right now."
Emilia says
"Well I'll be waiting for you here."
"Wait? Wouldn't that be boring?"
"There's no way, I'll be bored waiting for my buddy. Now go talk to the spirits I'll be doing my own thing here."
Emilia looks at him and sends a smile and went to talk to the spirits.
Puck comes out of Emilia as he flies towards Ryuunosuke.
"Yo Puck, how was sleep?"
Puck lets out a chuckle
"Fine and dandy Ryuu."
Ryunosuke sends a smile as he focused suddenly on his arm.
And in a moment the dragon mark on his neck spreads towards his right arm.
Puck quietly observes him
As he feels the absurd mana coming towards him.
Ryuunosuke shuts himself in his own world as he takes note of the changes in his body.
He moves around as he imagines an opponent
That he faces.
Ryuunosuke punched, kicked, chopped,
And feels the movement of his body
Completely unaware of the time
Emilia finishes talking to the spirit, as she saw Puck's eyes locked towards Ryuunosuke
She looks at the direction of Ryuunosue and she saw it.
In such concentration and his vast imagination.
His thoughts took form.
As Ryuunosuke was fighting his imaginary opponent he surrounds his body with mana, and
Focuses the mana on his hands.
"Don't let it flow out, keep it stable."
Ryuunosuke focuses his thoughts as he uses the mana as if it was his arm and legs.
And with that he punches through the imaginary opponent, as the air flew not strong but smoothly towards the direction of his fist.
To say Emilia was amazed
Was an understatement.
When she came to the Kingdom she saw a lot of fighters. Each of them had their respective weapons.
But for Ryuunosuke he was different,
He itself is the weapon
When she saw the movements Ryuunosuke did.
It was like the flow of water, ever so smooth
His movement cuts through the wind itself.
Only focusing on the imaginary opponent as she saw the deadly mana take place and pierced right through the imaginary opponent.
He looks at his surround and saw the astonished Emilia and the observing Puck.
Puck saw that Ryuunosuke wasn't focused anymore and flew towards him.
"That sure is amazing Ryuu, you controlled mana as if it was your body itself.
And the way you kept all your power stabled only targeting the opponents that was stunning!"
Ryuunosuke became aware of his surrounding as it was afternoon.
"Sorry Lia-Chi, I wasn't aware of the time!
Now we can't hang out anymore."
Ryuunosuke says in a sad tone
But Emilia smiles at him and pats his head.
"Don't worry! There's always tomorrow after all."
"Don't treat me like a kid, and stop messing my hair."
Emilia didn't hear him as she kept touching his hair as she was comforted by the soft and nice touch of it.
Ryuunosuke bumped his head on emilia's chin
"Stop it!"
Ryuunosuke says as his ear is a bit red now.
Emilia was surprised and her cheeks also began to blush.
"Sorry Ryuu-kun! It was just that your hair felt really nice!"
"It's okay.."
Ryuunosuke says weakly.
Emilia looked at the sky and saw it was the afternoon.
"It's time for me to study now!
I'll see you later Ryuu."
In a sudden Emilia was shook by a hand patting her head.
And saw Ryuunosuke smiling at her.
"Don't push yourself too hard now see ya."
Ryuunosuke went inside the manor.
As Emilia touches the spot of her head where Ryuunosuke patted her.
She smiles and went towards her room.
As Ryuunosuke was about to go to the kitchen, and when he opened the door he saw rem and ram talking.
"Ah perfect timing, Ryuunosuke-Sama since you aren't doing anything and is shamelessly living on Roswaal-Sama's mansion, can you go with rem on the village to resupply."
Ram was expecting a comeback but Ryuunosuke agreed.
"Sure I was bored in the manor anyways, shall we go rem?"
"Yes Ryuu-Sama, then Nee-Sama I'll see you later."
"Byebye Maid-San"
Ryuunosuke grabs his coat and
Heads to the village with rem
Rem was expecting for Ryuunosuke to
Not behave on the journey but surprisingly
He was behaved as he was acting like a kid in a field trip.
They were now in the village.
"Then Rem will go to the shop, Ryuu-Sama can stay here."
Ryuunosuke nods at rem as he looks around the village.
The villager was staring at him a bit wary.
Until a child grabs the back of his Coat.
"Mister! This coat really looks cool!"
And the children gathered.
Ryuunosuke smiles at the children
"Kukuku this coat is cool right!
After all I'm the one wearing it."
"But mister your so short! Your just a little taller than the maid earlier."
Ryuunosuke had a tick mark on his head
"Don't mess with adults you brat"
"But you don't look like one!"
The children laughed as Ryuunosuke chases the children around.
Timeskip
Rem just finished supplying and went to find Ryuunosuke.
But she was surprised when she saw the villagers gathered around even the old people.
"NOW FOLLOW MY MOVEMENTS!"
Rem was confused by the weird movements they were doing but all the villagers in the area was smiling.
"Even the villagers is attracted by his unnatural charisma."
"Ryuu-Sama I have finished supplying."
"Oh! Shall we go back then?"
Ryuunosuke says but the children gathered around him.
"Noo! Don't leave us Ryuu!"
"Ahh! Let go of me you brats!"
"Never!"
Ryuunosuke sighed and smiled towards them.
"A man! Sometimes has to let the good things go."
Ryuunosuke says towards the children as they saluted.
"But I'm a Girl!"
The little girl named petra says.
Ryuunosuke pats her head.
"And to grow to a big strong girl, you must also be prepared to say goodbye.
Now now I'll be coming back here again bye!"
Ryuunosuke leaves with rem as all the villagers looked at the leaving figure with a smile.
"Ryuu-Sama gets along with the villagers quite well."
"You think so?"
Ryuunosuke says as he grabs half of the supplies that rem piled on her hand.
"There's no need to do that"
"Yeah, but I wanted to help a friend."
Ryuunosuke sends a smile.
Rem recalls the conversation they had.
"Ryuu-Sama what do you think about an oni?"
"Hmm in my homeland they were described as evil beings they were brutal."
Rem looks down a bit
"But in my opinion onis are really cool!
Although in my homeland they say they are bad beings.
In some story I read, some of them are actually good hearted. I admire it, the way they changed their nature to a good one."
Rem looks up and meets the smile of Ryuunosuke.
And before they knew it they are already near the mansion with ram waiting on the door.
"Rem are you okay? Did this shortie do anything bad to you?"
Ryuunosuke had a tick mark on his head as ram hits the nail.
"Shut it I'm taller than you."
Ram had a smirk on her face as she finds the boy's weakness.
His height.
As they were both throwing insults towards each other
Ryuunosuke looks at rem.
And suddenly turned serious.
Ryuunosuke grabs her hand
Rem was surprised and blushed abit but when she saw his serious look, she looks at her hand.
"Rem you have a bite mark here, what happened?"
"Rem was bitten by a puppy but quickly healed it."
Ryuunosuke grabs rem's hands
And exited the kitchen, ram also followed them when she saw the serious look the boy had she began to worry.
They went to a nearby door and opened it.
It reveals the forbidden library
With Beatrice sitting in front the door with a stool.
"How do you get it right every time I suppose."
"Can you check this bitemark here? On rem's hand"
Ryuunosuke says as rem shows the spot where the puppy bit her.
"You come here every time for a check up I suppose."
Beatrice looks at the bitemark
And looks at rem again with a serious look
"You are cursed, I suppose."
Beatrice says bluntly
Rem and ram looks at Beatrice with a surprised look.
"Did you heal it?"
"Yes rem healed it after the puppy bit me."
"Can you remove it Beatrice?"
"Don't underestimate me I suppose, this curse is nothing for someone like me.
This curse is easy to remove, but it is hard to spot.
This curse attacks your body from the inside,
If this idiot didn't bring you here.
Then you would've died the next day I suppose."
Ram had a surprised sad look on her as she was so close on lossing her beloved sister.
"You have quite the eye I suppose"
Beatrice compliments me surprisingly
"Of course I'm me after all.
Now then..
Shall we begin the hunt!"
Ryuunosuke lets out a smile as the mana around him spiked up.
"Where are you going?"
"To take out the trash near the village."
Ryuunosuke says as he held the door knob
"Rem will come with you."
"No, you need to stay here."
"Why? Does Ryuu-Sama think that rem will drag him down"
"No it's the opposite of that, if you come with me only a few people will be able to protect the mansion.
When we went into the village I felt like I was watched.
This is most likely a set up to destroy the village to tarnish Rose-chi's image in the capital."
Ram looks at him surprised and angered manifested within her.
"Ram will come with you, not only did ram almost lost her sister, but they also want to tarnish Roswaal-Sama's image.
I won't allow that!"
Ryuunosuke looks at the pink haired girl
And nods at her
"Let's go then."
Ryuunosuke along with ram leaves the room and goes to the location of the village.
"Can you go any faster maid-san?"
"Ram can't, ram is at her full speed."
"What a drag."
Ryuunosuke says bluntly
"To call a beautiful girl like me a drag, you are rude towards women Ryuunosuke-Sama."
"Well you are really a drag so I'll be carrying you to the village.
you don't have a choice."
Ryuunosuke said as he grabs the maid and position her on his side, like he was carrying a barrel.
Ram was surprised at his action
And was about to resist when Ryuunosuke went full speed dash towards the village.
Ram was surprised by his speed, he was faster than a ground dragon by a lot.
As the ground itself crumbles at his foot.
And before she knew it they were already at the village.
Ryuunosuke drops her but ram successfully landed.
"To be manhandled like that,
Ram will get her revenge for this."
Ryuunosuke ignored her as he talked to one of the elder of the village.
"Ryuu-dono! The kids they are missing! One of the adults also looked for them but still hadn't returned.
We are getting quite worried."
"Don't worry old man, you can trust me I'll bring them back without a doubt."
The elder looked at his back, the boy's stature was small but when he turned around and saw his back, it was wider than anyone he met.
As the boy before him gives him a feeling that you can depend on him.
"Ram let's go."
Ram follows him in the forest.
"Ryuunosuke-Sama, why do you look for the villagers."
Ram says as they walk deeper in the forest.
"You are not obligated to protect roswaal's image so why are you doing this."
Ryuunosuke pauses before he answered her.
"Just because I felt like it, I'm not doing this for rose-chi. I'm doing this for those kids."
Ram looks at him
In honesty ram still had suspicion of him but when he pointed out the curse on rem, and when he said those
Somehow he erased it.
"There the kids."
Ryuunosuke went towards them.
"Do you know any healing magic ram?"
"Ram does but ram needs mana."
Ryuunosuke grabs her hand and controlled his flow of mana to transfer it towards her."
Ram felt the absurd purity of the mana she's receiving to the point, that she was letting out some weird sounds.
"Oy ram, heal them and take them back to the village.
I'm gonna go look for the adult that came."
Ram was snapped out by his words as with the mana she had she felt like she could do anything.
"I'm counting on you."
Ryuunosuke says as he went to the forest.
As Ryuunosuke went towards the forest he felt a couple of hostility coming from some directions.
And there revealed the huge beasts surrounding him.
Ryuunosuke lets out a wide smirk as he releases his mana
And his body slowly gets covered with tattoos
He dashes at one of the manbeasts
And extends his hand on one of the man beast's eye
And he punched right through to the eye of the manbeast his hand reached the body of the man beast crashing it's skull and brain in the process.
As he grabs the bones inside the manbeast and pulls it out as some of the organs falls in the ground as it dies.
He crashes the organs with his foot as he smiled menacingly at the man beast
The instincts of the each of the beast kicked in,
Like a wild animal when it gets spotted by a predator.
Their instincts are telling them to run away immediately at the smiling person in front of them.
"A beast like you should be honored!
To die by my hands personally,
NOW!
SHALL WE BEGIN THE SLAUGHTER!
Ryuunosuke says as one horn suddenly spurts out on the right side of his head.
