Evan Turst
My sister. My dear, beloved sister was now being fucked by some edgy asshole with a set of horns likely glued onto his head. If he wanted to fuck my sister, he would pay for his weight in blood. Not to mention that stupid fucking mask he was wearing. I wanted to knock that fucking thing right off his face. The only thing that was preventing me from beating this man half to death was because my sister was currently clinging to his arm.
"Ah, who is this, Evan?" Evia asked as she shot an enthusiastic look at Trifa.
Shit. "This is-"
"My name is Trifa Aranea, and I'm your brother's girlfriend," she said in a stern manner.
'What the fuck. What the fuck. What. The. Fuck! When the hell did we become an item?! Was it when we fucked last night? Was that how she sees me? As her boyfriend? Shit. Well I guess we're in a relationship now.'
"Brother," Evia said with an ear-to-ear grin. "Is that true?" she asked, approaching Trifa, letting go of the man.
"Yes," I replied, putting an arm around Trifa, pulling her closer to me. If my sister was going to interrogate Trifa, she would have to go through me. "And who is that?" I asked, pointing at the man.
"Oh, this is Adam Taurus, he's been wounded so I've taken him in as courtesy. We've been cuddling up with each other for about a week now," she said with a smile, pressing herself against Adam. I clenched my fists as I took a step forward. He took as step forward too, only for Evia to get in the middle of us.
"Well then, I think its time for the four of us to have some lunch!" she said in a slight panic. I backed down, and so did Adam as we walked inside. All of us took a side of the square table. I sat in between Evia and Trifa, while Adam was across the table. I shot the bastard a mean glare as we ate our sandwiches.
"So Adam, how was it that you met my sister exactly?" I asked, biting down viciously into another sandwich.
"I was wounded and she was kind enough to help me get better," he replied.
"And what wounds would those be?" I asked, taking a long sip from my glass of lemonade.
"These," he said with a bit to venom in his response as he pulled up his pants, revealing a half dozen bullet scars on his legs.
"Evan, apologize," Evia order.
I nodded as I felt Trifa put one hand on my thigh. "Sorry" I whispered.
"I don't think Adam could hear you, Evan," My sister said with a stern tone.
"Sorry," I said before taking another sip from my lemonade through my straw.
"Thank you," Adam said as he finished his second sandwich.
"Now, Trifa, tell me… how did you meet my dear older brother?" she asked, leaning towards her. She reached over the table, taking one of Trifa's cheek in her hand, rubbing it sensually. "I'd really like to know," she said with an excited smile.
Trifa stammered a bit before giving a complete answer. "I… was traveling through the region when I was ambushed by bandits and was saved by Ev," she answered.
"Oh, so you've given him a cute little nickname too, but the thing is, you could call me Ev too," she said with a smile. "So, what did you two do after that?" she asked.
Trifa began to shiver a bit as I remembered what happened. The Neighborhood. "We were walking through an abandoned neighborhood. Or we thought it was abandoned. We…" Trifa began to cry. I got up from my seat and stood behind her. She looked over her shoulder at me. My god. Her face. The dam was about to break. I took her out of her chair and led her to my room. I tucked her into my bed and kissed her on the forehead.
"Just get some sleep, Tri," I spoke, trying to ease her trauma.
"Hey, could you stay with me?" she asked, wiping away some tears.
I smiled. While I'd had many women with me in the past, there was something different about Trifa. She… she was something more than just a friend with benefits or a girlfriend. Dare I say it, she was my partner, my only partner. I had to protect her. She still hasn't been able to deal with the trauma of The Neighborhood. I noticed it as we ascended the mountain to get here.
"Sure," I said as I climbed into bed with her, wrapping my arm around her. She snuggled in and got comfortable. "That better?" I asked.
She smiled back at me and pecked me on the cheek. "Yes." We both fell asleep together, comfortable and warm. "Thank you Ev," she whispered.

I saw my brother sleeping in his bed with his 'partner'. They were cute together, hell maybe she was what he needed. I gave a soft giggle and closed the door. I'd let them sleep peacefully… for now. They did travel all this way after all. I walked back to the dinning room where Adam had removed his mask and was rummaging around in one of the drawers.
"So Adam, dear, what did you think of my big brother?" I asked with a devious smile.
"He was… a bit of a prick, if I'm being honest," Adam said as he found a jar of strawberry jam. He popped two pieces of toast into the toaster and grabbed a plate. "Why is he so hostile?"
I didn't respond. "..."
"It has to do with scars on your back, doesn't it?" Adam asked. "I can understand him being protective of you, but why is he so hostile to me I mean you've accepted me why can't-"
"Adam. My brother and I have been through alot. It would be best if you didn't pry too much. I understand your curiosity, but please, don't make me remember my past," I could feel the lump in my throat starting to grow.
"I'm sorry for being too nosey. Is there anything you need me to do?" he asked, the toast popping up now with a warm brown coloration. He spread the jam on the toast and took a bite.
I smiled. "Yes, I'd like some help in the garden, if its not too much to ask."
"Of course, I'll go grab the tools."
