Disclaimer: I do not own Familiar of Zero or Harry Potter, they belong to their respective owners. I'm not making money, this is just for fun and a hobby at most.

AN: This is a story.. I'm releasing this now, because well, there's enough here to warrant a chapter, maybe I can do another one tomorrow, if I have time to write more. Enjoy the duel! So, if you are fine with all that, please enjoy!

Chapter Seven: Now We Bow

Many of the students had gathered to watch the duel. Louise the Zero versus Guiche the Bronze. The spar was believed to have an unspoken outcome. There was no way that the Zero could win.

Guiche was a dot level mage, while Louise was a literal zero. That didn't leave the zero without all hope however, as the stories about her explosive magic was well known. Thus many of the students of the academy was in attendance. Who would win?

Kirche positioned herself in front of her friend Tabitha. The duel would start at any moment.

"Tabitha don't you think watching this 'fight' would be interesting?" Kirche asked her friend.

"Enh." Tabitha grunted.

"What are you reading anyways?" Kirche tried to grab her book away, only to be pushed away by wind magic. A casual hand gesture showing a high level mastery of her natural element.

"Don't disturb me." The girl went back to her book.

Kirche wanted to see the look of humiliation on Louise's face, but the duel had yet to start. Right now she needed to know what her friend was reading. Probably some obscure text about magic.

Kirche looked over her friends shoulder. "Who's Yun-che?" Kirche asked.

Tabitha closed her book. "Interrupting reading.. Best part.."

"Well excuse me for being interested. I guess I won't get an answer." Kirche pouted.

"The little Demon Empress just got Yun-ches Vital Yang. Can't wait to see what happens next." The small girl reported.

'Vital yang? What was that?' Kirche thought. 'When did her friend start reading such odd books?'

'What had she missed?' Kirche looked over to the dueling pit. 'She's sputtering like a fool.'

"Encouragement." Tabitha stated before reopening her book. Tabitha really wanted to know what would happened to the little demon empress now that she had attained nine drops of the golden crow blood.

Kirche was always baffled by her friend, lost in her books, but she was right. Now was a good moment to mock Louise. "You can do it Louise!"

"Shut up Zerbst! I don't need your help!" The pink spirited girl yelled at her.

Kirche couldn't help but snicker at Louise's embarrassment along with the rest of her fellow students. Even the way she bowed was arrogant to a fault despite her inevitable lose. This was all coming out too perfect. An entertaining lesson in humility.

She did feel slightly guilty about the golem that was about to leave Louise badly beaten and bruised, but the small girl had brought it upon herself.

"Finite Incantatem!" Louise shouted.

*Chapter Seven: Now We Bow*

The spell shot fourth from her wand. She held her breathe and closed her eyes for a small instance, as she waited for the result. The spell was unproven in battle. She had no hope for a second try. It was really going to hurt if she got hit with a sword, dulled or not.

"My golem!" Cried Guiche.

Louise blinked her eye open in the span of the time it took for the spell to take effect. The golem had crumbled to dirt. "Give up Guiche, your golems can't harm me!"

"Well if one isn't enough to put you down Louise, then how about three?" Guiche flicked his wand.

Louise was riding high on her last spells success, perhaps it had not been a good idea to gloat. Three golems would be impossible. She'd have to get creative.

"Go forth my Valkyries!" Guiche pointed towards Louise.

Backing away, Louise started chanting her next spell, this time with a little more emphasis on speed. The golems had barely begun to move. "Finite Incantatem!"

Guiche smiled as the spell fizzled out before reaching any of his three golems. "Just accept defeat Louise, I'd hate to hurt a girl."

Louise would not give up, while her spell had been ineffective, it was obvious it just was a range problem. She leveled her wand again as she tried to run to the side of the pit. They were in her range now. "Finite Incantatem!"

One of the golems crumbled to dust, but the other two continued to come at her. 'Damn it, the spell can only work on one target, and it takes to long to cast!' She thought.

This was it, he had won. While it was true she had put up a surprisingly good fight, using an unknown magic spell, she was cornered now. She had somehow learned some odd earth magic spell, but its short range, and lack of casting speed meant he would still be the winner regardless.

"Lumos!" Louise yelled as she ducked beneath the two golems spears.

Guiche grew angry as he shielded his eyes. A spell that created a bright flash of light, what element did it even belong to? He couldn't see anything. He couldn't direct his golems!

"Nox!" Yelled Louise as she rolled away in the pit, away from the confused golems.

Standing up Louise leveled her wand again. She would need to go on the attack again, Guiche would summon more golems to overwhelm her. Still the two golems near her needed to be taken out now. "Finite Incantatem! Finite Incantatem!" She shouted twice striking both golems in quick succession.

Opening his eyes, Guiche witnessed his last golem go down. "I can always summo..." He started to say.

Louise had to get close to make sure her only new offensive spell would hit. Still, the academy dress shoes were not the best for a full on sprint.

Guiche held his tongue in panic, Louise was charging right at him. Even if he summoned more of his golems, there was a chance she could cast one of her offensive spells. A large explosion even his Valkyries couldn't withstand, let alone him. "I won't let you!" Guiche shouted as he waved his wand.

Louise had been expecting more golems, not line class magic! Guiche had absurdly cast multiple wordless spells which invoked dirt balls. Ones which, if they hit her, would send her flying with a painful bruise to show for it.

"Lumos!" She chanted as she dodged under the mud balls.

"Not this again! You coward Louise!" Guiche yelled as he yet again shielded his eyes. Thus resorting to blind spell casting.

The blind spell casting was perhaps even worse for Louise then Guiche's aimed shots. "Nox!" She chanted. Dodging yet another mud ball, she was almost within range, she hoped, for her slug vomiting hex spell.

Guiche was far too proud to lose. He had trained hard as the fourth son of the Gramonts. His father pushed him to achieve line class status before he started his second year, a secret which he kept from his friends and teachers alike. With the war, it was likely he would enter it upon his graduation. It was one of the reasons he wanted to experience love and passion now before he went to war. And now because of Zero, his relationship with Montmorency was ruined. He was determined to not give up. One of his eyes opened, it still stung, but it gave him the ability to target zero. Triangle class magic, a dangerous unpracticed magic, he'd use it! "Mud ball barrage!" AN:Yeah I am not coming up with proper spell-names for Halkeginia magic, sorry!

Kirche was disgusted by what she was seeing, or trying to see. Louise had blinded half the students surrounding the pit with her infernal magic. She was only able to see thanks to Tabitha who had caste some kind of light reflection wind magic. 'She didn't know the spell personally, she guessed it was at least triangle class. Tabitha was a genius after all.' Still it was better than the normal explosion magic the pinkete normally threw around.

Still it was appealing how this duel was going. How was Louise supposed to learn a lesson in humility and learn her place if she actually put up a fight, or won...

The hex was at the tip of her wand as she took aim. Louise would not miss her target this close, she could win!

"Mud ball barrage!" Guiche shouted as he opened one eye.

Louise was caught unprepared for a triangle class spell. 'She recognized it from her studies, how did Guiche know it. He was just a second year dot class mage!'

Professor Chevreuse was shocked. Through her squinted eyes she watched as Triangle class earth magic leapt from the tip of Mr. Gramont's wand. 'Mud ball, the line class magic, was fine for this duel. Trainagle class earth magic, mud ball barrage, was going way too far. It could seriously injure or maim her students caught in it's crossfire! She would have to disqualify him after she took safety measures. She would have to hope for Miss Vallierre's safety.'

"Earth Mud wall!" The professor chanted, summoning a wall to protect all those standing on her sides of the pit, where the spells had been cast towards.

As soon as the spell had left his wand, Guiche realized his mistake. The spell was too powerful, he wanted to bruise Louise, not kill her! Hell it was a miracle he had even cast the spell, it was no surprise he couldn't control it!

She wasn't going to make it. The spell at the tip of her wand was already deemed pointless. Instead Louise was focused on trying to find a way, anyway, to avoid a point blank attack from a triangle class area of effect spell. With so little time to think, and so few options, it was no wonder, that she slipped on the mud in the pit.

Her spell zoomed off, as she fell on her back sliding towards Guiche. The barrage of mud balls just barely missing her, as they whizzed past her over head. Everything happened so fast. She blacked out as she hit her head on the pits floor.

Guiche had been in shock, once he realized what he had done. Thankfully he hadn't killed the young girl, but those thoughts quickly ended as his legs went out from underneath him. Guiche started to fall forwards.

When the mud walls lowered moments later, shocked gasps could be heard from several students. They were expecting a bruised nearly dead girl, not this...

As Louise opened her eyes, she stared right back into a set of green eyes and blonde hair. Something was pressing against her lips...

"Get off me you animal!" Louise tried to shout, as she also attempted to push Guiche off her.

Guiche seeing the misunderstanding that was occurring, tried to get up. "I'm so sorry Lo..."

The students watched as the blonde boy slipped and fell mid sentence, giving the small pink haired girl a second deep kiss. It hadn't helped both their mouths were open, yelling at one another...

Freeing herself from being assaulted in the mouth, she yelled. "Get off me you dog!"

Louise kneed the poor boy in the crouch. Guiche rolled off her into the mud with a groan.

"Both of you are disqualified!" Professor Chevreuse yelled from atop the pit.

"What!" Louise yelled. "But Guiche assaulted me and used dangerous magic! I should have won!"

"I don't have time for this Miss Valerie!" Stated the professor. As she looked back towards the other end of the dueling pit.

"But why!?" Louise pleaded, unwilling for all her hard work be for naught.

"Professor." Called a blue haired girl from the side of the ring. The girl was currently stroking the back of her red headed friend.

"You may leave Tabitha, Miss Zerbst needs to see a water mage right away." The professor grimaced as she watched the girl exhale another large slug.

She pointed at the two muddied mages in the pit below. "Both of you are in big trouble! Brimir help you, once the headmaster hears about this!"

*Chapter Seven: Now We Bow*

"What! You will write about my nemesis the Golden Crow, but not the mighty and powerful Pheonix Fawkes! How Snakely of you author!" Fawkes cooed.

"I'm a writer not a Snake Fawkes." Said the author.

"You left me out again! How am I suppose to help my Master if you leave me out!" Fawkes puffed her chest out.

"I could teach her the Ode of the Pheonix! Just like I had with Feng Xuer!" Fawkes informed the Author.

"Please don't Fawkes... Also your not 'that' Phoenix right? I think one crossover is enough don't you think? Besides your just a gag-character in my story. People shouldn't take you so seriously unless it directly relates to the plot."

"Master! Author is being mean to me again!" Fawkes cooed to Louise.

"Good bird." She petted Fawkes head. "Here have a treat, I'm a little busy with my own fights right now.."

Fawkes was about to complain until... "Lemon drop!" She cooed contently.

Louise continued to pet her bird.

"But I'm a Phoenix!" She chirped with a lemon drop still in her beak.

"Quiet down Fawkes, the chapter is already over.." The author reminded the readers and Fawkes.
