King is in his home experimenting on the new powers he got from his contract with his servant. He sat down after he put all the chains away. It seems that this chain is Enkidu's body. Medea had explained that as servants, they have an incredible weapon, a crystallization of their legends. The numbers of noble phantasm vary with each servant. But she said that Rider is the one that usually packed a lot of it. And Enkidu's entire body is a whole noble phantasm.

Well even if he heard that all the reaction he can give is a splendidly simple and short "Wow".

This past week was spent increasing the control of his servant power. He managed to call Enkidu's chain without much problem now. Though the amount of chain that he can call and control effectively without Enkidu taking the front seat is low as expected.

Well, it's not like Letting Enkidu controls his body had any side effect or something like that. it feels unfair of him to just hide inside his own body while letting others fight his fights. Even if Enkidu has no complaints, at least he, as the master need to have a little confidence in himself.

Yes, a little bit.

There is one other thing that seems strange thought. Enkidu is fine to be called over and over again. But Medea never did come out though. Sure, until now, there was no need for her to get out. King had expected a kid like her would be curious about the modern outside world and will be filled with a strong curiosity to experience it herself.

Was she like him when she was alive? A Shut-in? Did she love her room more than anything else in the world?

Anyways, tonight, he's going to play all the new games he bought. Including the Doki-Doki sisters that he hasn't played yet because of all the things that happened this past week. It's payday.

'Ah talking about games, I hope Mosquito girl give the game console I gave her a try. That girl has a lot of promise.' King thought remembering the day he gave Mosquito girl a game console to train herself.

As King was booting his Game Station 5 with a menacing face, his phone ringed.

King looked at his phone. Not the Hero Association issued one, but his phone. The only one aside from the association who knows is number is just Saitama. He doubts that the association will contact him through his private number, so it must be Saitama.

He picked up his phone and wonders why Saitama would call him.

"Hello? Saitama Bro?"

"Yo, King. Are you busy?"

"No, not really. Just playing some games. What's up? Calling me at this time…" King asked.

"Yeah, sorry. Could you help me? I was asked to bring some people for some team battle…"

Saitama said, his voice sounds confused.

"Huh? Team battle? What are you talking about?"

Now King sounds confused. It's quite a sudden topic that he has no idea how to respond to.

"I don't exactly know what is going on either. But anyway, would you come? I don't mind if you are busy though."

He really wants to play Doki-Doki sister. But Saitama rarely asks him for anything. Even when he offered some of his payment to him, as all of his achievement is Saitama's, Saitama had declined.

'Well, I guess I'll go.' King thought in his head and said.

"No, it's fine. I can go. Should I go to your place first?"

"Oh, Thanks, man. Yeah, we will gather at my house, and then we'll go together."

Saitama said in a surprised tone. He didn't think that King will accept, because he usually prioritized his game.

King cuts the call and prepares to go.

'I don't get what it's going to be, but I'll be counting on you Medea, Enkidu.'

'Of course, master! Please leave it to me!'

'You don't need to ask, master. You can use me as you see fit.'

He is glad that his servants are this cooperative. But he couldn't stop the sweat that rolls down his face when he heard Enkidu's answer. It somehow sounds wrong when Enkidu put it like that.

Nevertheless, King thanked his servant and went on his way to Saitama's apartment.

When he arrived in front of his apartment, he saw an elderly man with a hunched back at the front door. He is a familiar old man that King and almost everyone in the world knows very well.

S-class hero rank 3rd, Silver Fang, Bang. Master of the Flowing Water Rock Crushing Fist. A legend, known for his unrivaled strength and technique in the world of martial arts, crushing monster with his bare hands, and his calm and composed disposition like that of the gentle stream of water.

That man is now standing in front of Saitama's apartment with a bothered look on his face. His wrinkled face wrinkled even further by the deep frown on his face. He's also exerting some intimidating aura just by standing there that scares King a bit when he tries to approach him. But he gathered all the courage inside his frail body and approach him anyway.

Thump Thump Thump Thump Thump

Bang, hearing the familiar sound turns his head to the source. He saw King approaches him with a frown of his own on his face. Bang felt sorry for this and held back his killing intent.

"Bang-san what's wrong?" King asked with a stiff voice but filled with concern.

Bang's eyes soften when he catches the worry in the young hero's voice. King was one of the few heroes in S-lass that he's fond of and respect with all his old being. And he believes that it's not just him. Possibly almost, if not all the heroes in S-class respect this man.

Even with all that strength and achievement he never boasts it to anyone. He even declined his own achievement sometimes. Saying that it's not him but other heroes. But a witness said that it was indeed King that killed the monsters as they saw him on the site. He was humble to the core. He rarely joins on discussion, only speaking up when it's necessary and letting others make their input, and being an all-around good listener. He inspires all the other heroes, especially the ones in the lower class.

Bang really wished that King joins his dojo. But he decided against it. As teaching him, the one who's already dubbed as the strongest human, a way to defend himself is like teaching a fish how to swim. It's not needed. It's truly unfortunate.

'…And now is not the time to be looking for new students anyway.'

"No, there's nothing wrong. Sorry for making you worry, King." Bang said to King in a placating tone.

King looks at him and lets out a sigh of relief as his King Engine dies down.

"Is that so? That's good." King let out a smile. "Then Bang-san, why are you here?"

King walks in and walks the stairs to Saitama's room together with Bang as they talk.

"it seems that Saitama is invited to a team battle, and I was asked to join him as he didn't have that many people he can ask," Bang explained. It's the same invitation that he got. Bang turns to him and asked. "Are you invited by Saitama too, King?"

King nodded his head.

"Yeah, but I don't know the details though." King and Bang arrived in front of Saitama's door.

"Well, we can just ask him then." Bang pressed on the bell and they waited for Saitama.

The one who answered the door is Genos who greeted them and invited them in. They entered and see Saitama putting on his hero costume ready to go.

"Yo! Saitama-Kun. Suddenly inviting us to join on a team battle, just what happened?"

"Yes, Saitama bro. just what kind of situation lead to this kind of development?"

Saitama looked at them and walks up to them.

"Well, I don't know either though. Yesterday, Fubuki got me to come with her to meet up with her group." Saitama closes his eyes in a tired expression. "That Fubuki, after introducing her group to me, suddenly asked me to bring my group to fight her group. She said that I better come or else so I might as well do it. maybe she'll leave me alone after this."

Saitama tightened his gloves and clenched his fist. He walks out of his door, with a flutter of his cloak, he started to walk towards the promised location with three of the strongest hero in the hero association bathed under the moonlight.

Fubuki was waiting. Her foot tapping the ground over and over in impatience. Everything is perfect, her preparation is complete. With this, she can get Saitama or even a few S-class heroes to join the Blizzard Group. But still—

"So slow!"

He's already 30 minutes late! There are only another thirty minutes before the place closes!

Eyebrow and Mountain ape are looking at her with concern. They look around the few other Blizzard member in the rented discussion room. Fubuki had planned to have all the Blizzard Group present in this important moment. But they had talked her out of it. As there's something that needed more attention than a new member recruitment event.

Hero Association has made a subjugation request for every available hero. It is to capture or neutralized a human that named himself a monster. With the description of the person, more than half of the Blizzard Group was dispatched for the mission. And the rest is here to oversee the recruitment process.

"Fubuki-sama, will he come?"

"Yeah, that baldy didn't exactly look trustworthy."

"Don't worry. He may be not a punctual type of person but I'm a hundred percent sure he'll come."

As Fubuki assured Eyebrow and Mountain ape, the door slammed open. Every Blizzard Group member turns their head toward the door.

"Here they are. Prepare yourselves." The blizzard group has no idea why they need to prepare themselves. They immediately know the reason. When Fubuki told him to bring any friend or acquaintance, they were expecting other B-class or even C-class.

They were not expecting this lineup instead.

S-class, ranked 14th, Demon Cyborg. S-class, Ranked 3rd, Silver Fang. And lastly, S-class, ranked 7, The strongest man on earth, King. The Blizzard Group had sweat running down their face. It truly is a terrible opponent for a group of B-class. If they hadn't known about the rules of today's match, they'd already pissed their pants at this point.

Just thinking about fighting these monsters head-on. They shook their head frantically to erase that dreadful image.

"Yo, Fubuki. I've come." The man who brought these powerhouses with him points at said powerhouses. "I've brought some people, they're the only ones who answered my call."

Fubuki locks gaze with Saitama. Even while pressured by the three intimidating presence she still showed a confident smirk.

"I see you've come. This lineup is within my expectation too." But Fubuki turns to the elderly man. "I didn't expect you here though, Mr. Silver Fang." She asked him with slight confusion on her face.

Silver Fang, Bang, closes his eyes and shakes his head slowly.

"Well, please call me Bang-san. And I do intend to finish this quickly. I need to return the favor from Saitama-kun sooner or later, so I might as well do it now." Bang opens one of his eyes and regarded Fubuki. "You too thought Blizzard of hell. It's rare for you to not hunt after any possible reward from the association."

"No," Bang looks at her fully. "I've sent more than half of the Blizzard Group to deal with that, it should've been enough."

Bang looks down and shook his head again. Seemingly upset.

"I see. Then we better finish this as fast as we can and back up your dispatched group."

Fubuki couldn't see what he mean by that. This self-proclaimed human monster can't be that bad.

Meanwhile, Saitama and King just looked at each other through the conversation. Not understanding what are they talking about.

"All right, but first. Saitama! you need to sign this." Fubuki handed Saitama a piece of paper.

Fubuki was about to explain but Saitama without any hesitation signs the paper and gave it back to Fubuki.

"Oh, Thanks, Saitama-kun. You rushed because of me."

"No, not really. I just want to quickly go home and sleep."

Fubuki was a little bewildered, but slowly a smile broke out of her face. She then, to the surprise of everyone present, started to jump in place, holding her piece of paper high in the air. Laughing all the while.

She then shows Saitama the piece of paper. A big smile plastered on her face.

"Hmph! I feel sorry for you, so I'll tell you. This piece of paper stated that the winning group can order anything from the losing group." Saitama's face fell.

Saitama felt a tap on his shoulder and turn around to meet King.

"Saitama bro, you really need to read carefully before you sign anything."

"Yes, sorry." That is the only thing that he could say at this point.

"Please stop it, King. I'm the one who made Saitama-kun hurry like that." Bang tried to take the blame.

"No, as I said, I just want to go home."

"Sensei. We could just blow away this building and all of the members of the Blizzard Group so they won't bother you again." Genos cuts in with a dangerous suggestion.

"No way. Just when I thought you were unusually quiet then this suggestion comes, huh."

"Ahem!" Fubuki clears her throat to continue on tonight's event as they don't have much time anymore.

The four of them turn to her.

"All right, we're going to have a one by one match with all the members from each group. When one representative of the group is defeated, they're out of the game, and the next member steps forward. It'll continue like that until there's no available member left. You get the rules?"

Saitama's group listened to the rules and nodded their head. Genos steps forward and volunteered to be the first, but Bang stopped him.

"Wait, Genos-kun. Things dragged out this long because of me. So, let me fix my mistake." Bang steps past Genos who's looking at him cracks his knuckles. "Don't worry I won't injure them much"

"fufufu~" a giggle stops halted Bang's movement.

"Well, you people may be strong. But sad to say this is not a physical fight. I'm not that stupid to challenge Saitama in a straight fight." With a flourish, Fubuki revealed what they'll be fighting in.

And in front of King's Eyes is a familiar console of Game Station 5. And on the TV screen is a fighting game. At that moment he understands what Fubuki is aiming at.

'Well, master. It seems that we won't be needed in this fight.'

'You did it, Master! It's your specialty right!?'

Both of his servants gave him praises. One genuine and one is questionable in nature.

'Calling it specialty is a bit….'

As King scratched his Chin, Bang already had his hand on the controller. They're picking a character already.

"Hmm? How do I use this?" Bang asked the other player, who looks like a pro while holding the controller in reverse.

'Ah, this is not good.' King said with a sweat drop at his cheek.

As expected, Bang lost without even putting up a fight.

"Oi! Gramps! You need to dodge that! Wait! Like I said, that's the select button! Stop pressing it it's useless!" Saitama Cheered Bang uselessly.

"Sorry, Saitama-kun…"

Next is Genos. He almost burns down the controller.

"No worry, Genos. I'll avenge you!" Saitama said punching his open palm. A confident smile on his hyped face.

A complete loss.

"SHITTY GAME! SHITTY GAME!" Was Saitama's only defense when he loses.

"Yes! I was right! You may be strong in real life but you're weak in-game!" Fubuki covers her mouth with her hand as she throws her head back and laughs as hard as she can.

King hardened his face and stood up. Heading to the Game station 5 to avenge his fallen comrades.

"All right! This is your last chance Stick! If you win this, you'll get an instant promotion!" Fubuki can't contain her excitement anymore.

But she froze when she looks at King. His face is the very picture of confidence. Piercing eyes stares deeply into the screen. Face stout in total concentration. An unknown pressure, press down on Fubuki and the other as they started to break in a cold sweat.

'Calm yourself, Fubuki. You've come this far, I'm sure that you'll be fine… you'll be…'

King's character rain down damage upon damage upon her subordinates' character with no mercy insight. He beat the first fighter in less than one minute.

"…"

The next one in less than 30 seconds.

"…"

The next in 25 seconds. The next, the next, the next….

Until she holds the controller. She was beaten without mercy in under 3 seconds.

"…"

King turns to Fubuki with a gentle smile.

"Uhm… don't mind, Fubuki. Fubuki is a beginner who never played any games before. And I intend to get serious from the start to finish this as fast as possible. So, don't be sad, okay?" King put his hand on her shoulder in consolation.

"So, this means that we won right?" Saitama who's been watching didn't look impressed at all as he already knows that King will wipe the floor with them.

Fubuki dropped the controller, and fall on her hands and knees on the floor. All the life seems to be sucked out of her.

"…Why... Why…?" She starts muttering incomprehensible things quietly with lifeless eyes.

Saitama's group looks at the depressed Fubuki, lost on what to do.

Just then, someone broke through the door. It was Eyebrow and Mountain ape that guarded outside.

"Fubuki-sama!" Their yells of urgency snap Fubuki out of her stupor.

"What? What happened!?" She stood up and demand a report.

"We got a distress signal from Lily and the others…" Eyebrow said with a straight face and a clear tone.

Fubuki stiffened in place. They're cornered?

"Where's the signal coming from? What's the enemy?"

Mountain ape checked his phone nervously to make sure while Saitama's group waited with stiff expressions.

"The signal came from W-City… and the opponent is…"

Fubuki waited patiently.

Mountain ape looks up from his phone and faces Fubuki as he said.

"The Human Monster, Garou."

Most of the people's eyes widen at the name, but non more so than The S-class, ranked 3rd hero, Silver Fang.

In the dark black night with the moon as its sole source of lights. A lone street that mostly empties most of the time, is littered with bodies. They're still alive but severely injured, beaten to the inch of their life.

On top of all of the bodies is a lone wolf with a pair of menacing glowing eyes and a widely smiling mouth.

Tonight, the wolf had finished its hunt.

Just one more chapter guys, and we'll enter into the story. Of course, it'll differ slightly or moderately from cannon as things that shouldn't have happened happen.

But, still, this is one punch man. So, just don't get your hopes up for a dark development and whatnot. Of course, it'll be comedic (Not that much, though).

Anyway, thanks for reading. Leave some critique or leave some love for the story, I'll read all of them of course.

Next Chapter: 23 April 2021

See you!
