Adrien nocked hesitantly on Danny's door, of which opened to him standing on the other side with disheveled hair that rivaled chat's.

"Come in." Danny sat back at his own couch where he had gear on the table.

Adrien followed plopping down. "You're Phantom." he stated, glancing at the devices. "How?"

"When my parents first tried to power up the portal, it didn't work. I checked it out and ran my hand over the on button, when I was inside it. Electrified ecto-energy fused to my DNA. Essentially making me half-ghost, or a halfa is what the other ghosts call me."

"Are you half dead?"

"I don't know. It's not something that we really checked into."

"We?"

"Sam and Tucker were there when the accident happened. Jazz found out later."

"Your parents don't know?"

"No. I know they'll accept me, it's just too dangerous. Sam, Tucker, and Jazz are targeted enough." there was a silent moment as Danny saw the cat creature eat a piece of smelly cheese. "How'd you become Chat Noir?"

"This ring." he showed Danny the silver jewelry, "It showed up after the first attack, with the help from Plagg I can transform."

"Is that what Hawkmoth is after?"

"Along with Ladybug's earrings."

"At least you have a partner."

Adrien tilted his head, much like and actual cat, "The other guy that helped, he's not your partner?"

"Plasmius helped out of his own personal gain, not because it was the right thing to so."

"The hatred of lies is from him then?"

"Yeah." Danny hesitated, rubbing his neck. "He's the only other halfa."

"What's his civilian name?"

"I can't tell you."

Adrien grew angry, "Why not?"

"We've made a deal in the past. I don't tell his, he won't tell mine. A secret for a secret."

"Oh."

"Yeah. What is Plagg?"

"I'm a kwami. Your half status is what made me not like you."

"You are what kept getting my senses to go haywire."

"I was there when Plasmius met you that night. Nothing better happen to him." He glared.

"Plasmius won't go after him without reason, even for ransom. He's after me."

"Ransom?" Adrien backed away.

"Plasmius visited the first night, saying that he's thinking about kidnapping you for ransom and make it seem like Phantom did it."

"Why is he after you?"

"To make me his son."

Their eyes widened.

"which I keep saying no to, so he tries by force."

"Why?"

"To make me his apprentice. Which I promise won't happen."

"How many times have you been threatened?"

"Too many that I can easily ignore it. What's the deal between you and Ladybug. The whole city wants you together."

"I love her but she likes someone else."

Danny rose an eyebrow in understanding, "Don't push her, she'll grow to resent you." he caught his slight fear. "You never know, maybe she likes civilian you."

"People want the fame and fortune, not me."

"Most of Amity is more interested in Phantom's wins, any fight he loses the town turns their backs on him. However, Fenton is a social nobody that no one cares for."

"What a pair we make." Adrien looked at the time. "Was gonna go for a run before meeting Ladybug, want to go with?"

"As long as I don't witness you pounce on her I won't disappear." Danny stood up instantly transforming while Adrien called on Plagg.

Phantom enjoyed the calm night, seeming weightless as the moon looked down upon them. Chat Noir moved silently on all fours. Curious he came down next to him when he jumped to the next roof, only to roll away when Phantom was in his vision, his back nearly arched. "Sorry to spook ya." he grinned, then his smile fell at the gleam in chat's eyes.

"Hissterical."

The pair of green eyes sparkled at the other.

"You sure you're not halfa-cat."

They raced toward the Eiffel Tower spouting puns left and right. Both barely stopping short of where Ladybug sat. Chat himself almost barreled right into his team mate.

"Remember what I said about pouncing on your purrtner?'

"Yeah, yeah, you'll disappear."

Ladybug sat wide eyed up at them and groaned.

"What's wrong LB?" Chat began, "Can't get into the spirit?"

Phantom chuckled at the line.

"Not another one."

"Come on, we won't be the death of you at least." Phantom chuckled.

"You two can finish off the pun battle later." Ladybug stood, "Thank you for coming, Phantom."

"Well you see…" he turned back to Chat, who stared at him with his cat ears back. "We kind of saw each other transform in an alleyway."

"Chat noir!"

Chat couldn't meet his lady's eyes.

"Wait!" Phantom stood between the two, "It's my fault. I didn't look around enough to spot him." he heard Chat snort at that, thankfully Ladybug didn't heat.

"But more people are in danger now. Hawkmoth could target the wrong people."

"My enemies won't target anyone but me, and after the fail with Skulker, I don't think he'll try anymore ghosts."

"What if he gives someone with ghost-like abilities."

"For someone to have true ghost powers they need to wither be overshadowed or have ectoplasm fused to their DNA. Most likely the latter."

"Overshadowed?"

"Uh, possessed, would by similar, something like an akuma."

"Oh. So who was the other ghost helping out?"

"That was Plasmius. A seriously crazed up fruitloop who has a cat that doesn't give him enough company."

"Bad luck cat?"

"White furred cat."

"he's the bad guy." Chat said a he stood next to Phantom. "He's also against Hawkmoth."

"It's a possibility. Plasmius allies to those that he can use to his advantage, especially those he has blackmail against."

"Keeps them in line." Ladybug thought for a moment, "What about you?"

Phantom blinked, "What about me?"

"he allied with you, temporarily.
"It's a secret for a secret between us. We have blackmail on each other."

"Too bad you can't say, it'd sink my claws into him." Chat leaned forward, fingers curled slightly.

"You wouldn't phase him." Danny glanced at him, smiling.

"You could blast him."

"I could." his hands lit up.

"Can you two stop?" Ladybug whined.

"Sorry for bugging you." chat responded.

"It's too tempting to be a pest." Phantom smirked back, the two high fived missing her glared. What they didn't miss was the warning glance after she hit them on the head with her yo-yo. "Do you have any idea what he's after?"

"To make me his apprentice slash son." Phantom finished rubbing the sore spot on his head, only to shrug at her look.

"What would happen if you were akumatized?"

"I-" he looked down, "I'd rather not think about it, or find out."

Chat watched as his hands clenched into fists as his shoulders hunched. "Hey." Phantom flinched when Chat touched him.

"It was an alternate future." he frowned, "Only thing left on the planet was Amity."

"You were a victim?"

"I killed everyone in my path, there was no cure to cast."

Ladybug kneeled before him, "We'll help you." she declared.

"Of course we will." Chat agreed.

He questioned how they would, but decided not to voice the curiosity. "Thank you."

"While you're here, you can help with the akumas if you're available." she watched the two smile at each other and they grinned. "No, don't you dare!"

"That would be miraculous." Phantom and Chat stated in sync, laughing as Ladybug became exasperated at their antics and swung away.

So many puns...with these two would be non-stop.
