HAHA. ANOTHER ONE!!

It was chaos. Total and absolute chaos.

Sakura stayed stowed away beside Shirou as he ran through the debris and chunks of his house falling around her. She risked looking backwards and almost regretted it immediately.

It was a battle she was sure she had no right to witnessing, something beyond what she had ever seen any one mage performing.

The entire sky was filled with golden portals, ripples upon ripples of gold, sword after sword, spear after sword, Gilgamesh threw them all, decimating everything in the immediate vicinity with nonchalance and without care.

And then there was the servant of Naruto, who took it all with a ferocity she had never seen before, not even in her grandfather.

He was a maelstrom of motion, blocking, counter attacking and throwing off each weapon like it was second nature to him. He had taken the two daggers he held before and combined them end to end to make a long lance which he twirled like a master spearman. He turned around and spun the spear behind him, deflecting close to fifty swords in the span of a few second. On his face was a scowl of concentration and he stole glances occasionally towards Naruto to make sure he was fine.

She was dragged out of it when she saw a sword coming towards her again. Saber was busy trying to hold off as many of the weapons as possible and Naruto was also held up protecting Taiga. There was no one who could protect her.

She could oly look on as the sword came closer, but she suddenly felt herself being poushed to the side by a force. A strong force, a force with red hair?

"Urk!!"

"Shirou-sempai!!"

The sword came forwards with the force of a moving train and impaled Shirou straight through the shoulder. He was pushed back and sent tumbling on the floor till he finally stopped when he hit his back against a block of concrete which used to be a part of his house.

Sakura ran towards him and frantically tried to stop the bleeding in his shoulder. The sword had disappeared and now there was only a large hole there.

He grunted when she touched a particularly sore spot and she quickly let go. She looked at his pained face and almost broke out in tears, she couldn't even protect the person she claimed to love; why was she so useless?

"Shirou!"

Saber came forward once she had a chance and examined the wound on his shoulder. She looked to the wound and was shocked to see it was already closing itself up. It would seem his healing factor was even better than she had though at first. She looped one of his hands across her shoulder and dragged him to his feet.

"We have to go, now. I don't know why, but it seems those two have something personal between them, something which forced Gilgamesh to become serious."

Sakura looked back at them and couldn't help but agree with saber. Gilgamesh had summoned his armor and crown and with a scowl on his face was in the process of summoning even more swords from his gates.

He also seemed to have abandoned all show of being high and mighty, he was currently bent low and preventing Kurama from having a clean shot at him. One of his hands was outstretched and on his face was the picture of perfect concentration.

He wanted to kill Kurama like there was nothing more important in this world.

"Yeah, those two must have had some serious bad blood in the past"

Naruto said as he came up to them. He had his sword out and was holding onto Taiga tightly. The sword had a few dents and cracks in it, showing that he had used it to stop a few of the swords shot out of the gates.

Just how strong were those swords?

"We have to leave now Naruto. Take Sakura as well so we can leave"

Saber spoke to Naruto as she held onto Shirou. she looked back to the fight happening on the former home of her master and couldn't help but feel a bit put off by the look on Gilgamesh's face. She had never seen him this angry before, she had never seem him go all out, ever.

Naruto nodded and tossed his useless sword away. He grabbed Taiga and hoisted her up onto his shoulder – which resulted in an indignant 'Hey!' from her - before grabbing Sakura and dragging her away as he ran ahead.

Saber looked to Shirou and then back to the fight happening before she shook her head and followed behind Naruto while carrying her master.

Once they had gone far enough, Naruto stopped and dropped Taiga – who's legs had grown weak - down on the ground. Sakura behind him was breathing heavily while he didn't even seem winded at all.

He looked back and saw Saber as she came and dropped Shirou beside his guardian. He nodded to her and then began moving back towards Shirou's house.

Saber grabbed onto his shoulder

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?"

Naruto looked at the hand until she let go of it hesitantly. He then turned back towards the house

"I'm going to be with my servant of course. Isn't that a master's job? To fight alongside their servant?"

"But that's madness! That isn't a fight you can get involved in, not in any capacity at all!"

Naruto looked back at her with a smile.

"I know. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't be there, does it? Wouldn't you do the same for your friends?"

"!"

Saber was rendered speechless as she watched the resolve in his eyes. He turned back to the house and jumped to the roofs.

"Naruto, wait!" Shirou shouted with a grimace. He stood up and looked up at Naruto who stood on the roof looking down at him, "T-that's hell you're walking into"

Naruto smiled

"I know" he said.

Kurama swore indignantly as he deflected another three swords from the Gates of Babylon. He looked up at Gilgamesh and almost felt remorse at the look he held on his face. It was not his falt after all that he hated Kurama so much.

Kurama twirled the makeshift spear before bringing behind him, holding it with one hand. He brought his other hand forward, a fist formed, apart from two fingers which he brought up in an upward gun sign.

He moved from the spot he was in when two more swords lodged themselves in the ground where he stood. He shifted again as a spear traveled past where he stood, he twirled around a shield, jumped over a halberd, kicked a dagger back at Gilgamesh and finally caught another sword in between his teeth.

Back on the gates, Gilgamesh's scowl deepened.

"Why? Why are you here? Why did it have to be you Ruler?"

Kurama spit out the sword before landing back on the ground.

"I don't know Gill, how about asking the Gods when you get back . They're the ones who brought us both into the world after all, brother"

"You! You are NO BROTHER OF MINE!!!!"

Shink!

Shink!

Shink!

"Shit!!"

More and more swords came towards Kurama and he dodged around them elegantly. His hand was still in the same gun sign and he still held his spear behind him dutifully.

He knew he had asked to be given stronger opponents, but this was a bit too much, Naruto.

He didn't have the capacity to take on Gilgamesh, especially when he fought at full power. The only way he would be able to fight him would be in a last ditch effort that would probably take out the entire city.

Naruto probably wouldn't like that.

He had been wanting to perform a hidden technique which would allow him take this fight elsewhere, but in order to do that he needed time and space, something Gill wasn't keen on allowing him have.

Then all of a sudden, he felt something shift inside him, something in his mana becoming unstable and seeming to split down into two-thirds of what it once was.

The change wasn't much, but it was substantial enough for him to notice.

'What in the world?"

Shink! Smash!

Shink! Smash!

Shink! Smash!

Kurama had been so caught up in his thought that he had failed to notice Gilgamesh sending even more weapons towards him. He looked forward only to be surprised by the sight of Saber standing there in front of him and smashing the three swords out of the sky.

She seemed to have healed substantially from her previous injuries and her stance seemed more stable than before.

"Oh, I see. So that's what happened" Kurama said.

He looked back and wasn't surprised to see both Naruto and Shirou standing there together, their command seals were out and glowing a deep red on the arms, and they both seemed to be on their last leg.

He chuckled as he turned back to Gilgamesh.

"Yeah, you're done now, Gil"

Kurama had discovered what they had done. They had decided to do something which he was sure would drive that Tohsaka girl to madness in the future.

They became joint masters, sharing both their command spells and mana in equal measure.

…..

A few minutes prior

"That's hell you're walking into"

"I know"

"Well then, if you know that much ten there's no way I can let this go"

"What are you talking about? You're too injured to even move properly"

"I might not be able to move, but Saber can. And I'm sure you can come up with a way to make this work"

Naruto looked at the resolved face of Shirou and knew he wouldn't get out of this without letting him help out. He would be a hypocrite if he didn't.

He then looked back Saber with a calculative stare. Taking in her poor stance and the fact she was probably in her last leg.

Then finally, he spoke:

"I might have a few ideas. But you're going to have to trust me Shirou"

Shirou smirked back at him

"Isn't that what friends do?"

……..

Saber breathed easier as she felt the new form of mana pouring through her in full measure, energizing her to levels she didn't know even existed.

Was this how Naruto's servant always felt?

No wonder he was a battle-nut. This feeling was exhilarating!

"You're going to have to hold him off for a while I prepare what I want to do"

The voice of Naruto's servant filtered across the air and reached her through her thoughts. She looked back and saw he was standing there in a stance she had never seen before.

He had discarded his weapon and now seemed to be performing some sort of hand signs with utmost concentration on his face.

She nodded to him and immediately moved towards Gilgamesh to engage him.

Kurama performed the hand signs at speed never seen before, there were a hundred hand signs required for him to perform the technique he required, and he had already made twenty of them I the two seconds he spoke with saber.

He performed several more while keeping his eyes on the fight happening in front of him, until finally…

Ox, Boar, Tiger…*Slam*

"Forbidden technique: Realm of the Demon!"

Flames flew forth from where he had slammed his hand on the floor and engulfed the entire area for miles around, taking and transporting all chosen servants and masters into the world of Kurama's technique.

Naruto and Shirou shielded their eyes from the flames, but once it had receded, they opened it and saw something which had them taking a step back in fear.

It was a desolate land lacking in anything living.

For miles and miles, all that could be seen was sand and blood and skeletons, skeletons piled up into dunes decorated the landscape and the sky was a blood red which added to the eerie feeling the place possessed.

Gilgamesh and saber meanwhile never paid any mind to the changes, with Gilgamesh still trying his hardest to skewer saber and saber deflecting and dodging around the swords with far more ease than before.

She took in her surroundings and was relieved to see that she had been transported to some sort of other realm. Perhaps this was the Noble phantasm of Naruto's servant.

But that wasn't what was important to her right now. What was important was getting rid of Gilgamesh once and for all.

She drew her sword back and for the first time since she came here, she released the wind enchantment around it.

Whoosh!

"I thought you were once redeemable Gilgamesh. But now I don't really care anymore, you've crossed the line by attacking someone I care about, so I'm going to erase you!"

She brought her sword lower and a bright light encased it. It's intensity was enough to bath the entire region in light.

In front of her, Gilgamesh – who seemed to have gotten himself back – scoffed and reached for a sword behind him.

From the portal there, he brought out the progenitor, the original, the sword from which her very own sword had been broken off from and crafted. And then, he called its name.

"CALIBURN!!!!"

"EX-CALIBUR!!!!"
