When it comes to romance, it truly can happen anywhere and any time. Cozy Glow didn't expect to fall in love with Rumble when she first met him, but she did, and now she's carrying his child.
Of course it's not really as glamorous as it sounds, while she was happy that she was gonna be a mom, it wasn't the Fairy Tail romance she was expecting. Instead of being a wife to be, she's a pregnant filly who's something of a third wheel to Rumble and Sweetie Belle.
The two did care about Cozy Glow a great deal, but she didn't have the romance that they did, and deep down, it did bother her a little.
It's been close to two months since Cozy Glow had moved in, and she was showing some pregnancy signs, that being a slight budge on her belly. Not too noticeable, but it did concern Cozy a little since she was worried that someone would think she's getting fat.
In this time, Apple Bloom and Dinky have also gotten closer, Dinky spending much more time at the farm, Rumble joking that she may end up living there sooner than later.
However a big ay was coming, after a long time waiting, Rumble was finally going to get his chance to audition for The Wonderbolts, his big dreams about to become a reality.
Come the day of the try-out, Rumble, joined by Sweetie Belle, Cozy Glow, Dinky, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo and Rarity were all enroute to Canterlot via train, and it was probably the most jittery Rumble's been in years.
"I can't believe I'm this close to being a Wonderbolt!" Rumble said, using his wing feathers for emphasis on distance. "This close!"
"We're really excited for you Rumble," Dinky said.
"A chance to fly with the Wonderbolts, just like yer big brother," Apple Bloom said.
"Months of waiting is finally paying off, I've been preparing myself, a chance to finally show the greatest flyers in Equestria that I'm just as good as them!" Rumble said. "Or rather, that I just might be better!"
"Talk about confidence," Scootaloo said. "You really think your skills can surpass even Rainbow Dash?"
"If I put my mind to it," Rumble said. "Rainbow Dash is good but that doesn't mean she'll stay the best forever."
"Well if anypony can surpass Rainbow Dash, it's Rumble," Cozy Glow encouraged. "I bet he can surpass Spitfire and be the new Captain of The Wonderbolts."
"Wow you really think so?" Rumble asked, imagining the scenario. "Me, Captain Rumble, Leader of The Wonderbolts! Ha, the only thing better than that is inheriting one of the Elements of Harmony."
"Remember when we were groomed for that?" Scootaloo said. "What happened? It's like we were forgotten about."
"No one forgot about you Scootaloo, but there were quite a few years of disharmony that may have affected your likelihood, that and Twilight's become quite fond of those six friends from her school."
"But we're back together, and we saved Equestria, just like Twilight expected of us," Dinky said. "We should be the new Elements."
"Perhaps it would be best to focus on your own thing rather than to be something that already exists," Rarity said.
"Do you really believe that? Or are you worried one of us will take your title of 'Element of Generosity'?" Dinky asked.
"Well, it wouldn't be very generous of me to discourage you from wanting that title," Rarity pointed out. "I'm just suggesting you make your own destiny and not try to inherit someone else's, even The Pillars had different titles than all of us after all."
"So what titles could we earn?" Rumble asked.
"Rumble, I thought you didn't care to be placed in a 'box' as you would say," Rarity said.
Rumble sheepishly rubbed his head, forgetting his big mantra, "Right, I don't care really, but if I were to have a title regardless, I am curious as to what I would get."
"I can't say, could be anything," Rarity replied. "But truthfully, do you even want a title? I mean you should do things because it's the right thing to do, not because you'll get some fancy title, I don't need my title of The Element of Generosity to know that I contribute something of value. I could have never gotten my Element and I would be happy nonetheless with all my friends and loved ones."
"Alright Rarity, point taken," Rumble said. "Guess it doesn't matter in the end anyway, I'll still do my part to protect Equestria, it's the right thing to do."
"And in the end, that's all that matters, if you do the right thing," Rarity said, then noticed the train slowing down. "We're here."
As the train came to a complete stop, Rarity and the six friends exited, making their way to Canterlot castle. Cozy Glow felt weird each time she stepped hoof in Canterlot, knowing she at one point tried to take over, and had come really close to doing so.
As they approached the stadium, a familiar voice had called to them, "Hey everypony!"
"That was Tender Taps!" Sweetie Belle said, looking around to see the friend of the group making his way over.
"I knew I'd see you here soon, big day huh Rumble?" Tender Taps said, trotting over to the group.
"You bet it's a big day for me," Rumble said. "This is the most important day of my life!"
"For now at least," Sweetie Belle said.
"For now? What could be more important than-" Rumble ceased his chatter when met with Sweetie Belle's glare, remembering one crucial detail. "I mean, yeah, for now."
"He's just excited, this is a huge opportunity for him," Scootaloo said. "If he pulls this off, he'll be a Wonderbolt for sure."
"When I pull this off you mean," Rumble said. "There's no way this is slipping away from me."
"You have the confidence, that's for sure," Tender Taps said. "The one thing about you I wish I had."
"Hey you've done well for yourself," Dinky said. "You're on Briddleway after all."
"Yes, your shows have been marvelous," Rarity said. "I love attending whenever I can."
"I really appreciate that, I appreciate the support I've gotten from you, and our friends, and I really appreciate you recommending me to Miss Pommel for my outfits," Tender Taps said.
"She was happy to help, she enjoyed your performances as well, said you were so adorable on stage," Rarity said.
"I hope Twilight hasn't been too jealous of your fame," Sweetie Belle teased.
"Oh Twilight knows better than to be jealous, I only have eyes for her after all," Tender Taps said.
"Have any of the other actors made a pass at you?" Scootaloo asked.
"A few but of course I would turn them down," Tender Taps said. "I mean not many of them even know I'm engaged to Twilight."
"Yes, surprisingly she still hasn't said anything," Rarity said. "Not sure what's taking her so long."
"I think she wants everything fully set before she announces anything," Tender Taps said. "We're still trying to decide on a date, and whether or not we'd be able to take a Honeymoon. Being Princess of Equestria doesn't leave room for many days off."
"Hey we can run the country if you want," Dinky suggested.
Tender Taps couldn't tell if she was joking or not, though the suggestion was still strange nonetheless. "Twilight would appreciate that, but she also likely wouldn't allow the lot of you to take over."
"What's this about taking over?" Came Twilight's voice. The mare was making her way over, but she was not alone. Joining her was Shining Armor, Cadance and Flurry Heart.
"Oh goodie, Twilight's here," Sweetie Belle said.
"Hey Twilight, we were just discussing who would be taking over Equestria while you were away on your honeymoon," Dinky said.
"Oh I've already thought of that, Cadance is going to take over," Twilight said.
"It'd only be for a week, nothing I can't handle," Cadance said. "I'll even have Shining Armor and Flurry Heart with me."
"But then who's gonna watch over The Crystal Empire?" Dinky asked.
"Well...we could tell you but you probably wouldn't believe us," Cadance said.
"Then I'll tell them," came the voice of Chrysalis, the Changeling queen making her way over with Tirek The Dazzlings.
"Chrysalis?" Tirek? Adadio? Sonata? Aria?" Cozy Glow seemed surprised to encounte her old allies.
"Hey squirt, been a while," Aria said. "How are things back in Ponyville?"
"Fine and dandy," Cozy Glow answered. "Still living with Rumble, Sweetie Belle and Rarity."
"That's so nice," Sonata said, making her way to Cozy Glow's side and noticing a difference in detail. "Seems like your belly's a bit bigger, guess that means the baby is coming along just fine."
"Just nine more months," Cozy Glow said. "I can already feel something."
"Oh really? Is it moving?" Tirek asked.
"Not too much, but it is at a point where if I eat something the baby doesn't like, it comes right back up," Cozy Glow said.
"Sounds terrible," Aria said.
"Fortunately it's rare, the baby seems to like a lot of the food I make," Rumble said.
"You must be quite the cook then," Chrysalis said. "That or your paternal instincts let you know what's right for your child."
"It's like a science, you just gotta figure out what to work with and go from there," Rumble said. "It took a few trial and errors but I think I came up with food both Cozy Glow and our baby would like."
"Um, I hate to interrupt here," DInky said. "But I never got my answer about The Crystal Empire."
"Oh right, well if you must know, the five of us will be keeping watch over it," Chrysalis said, gesturing to her allies.
Nopony seemed to believe that at first, many of them looking quite confused. Scootaloo was the first to voice her doubt, "You five? As in the five of you?"
"Yeah that's right, Princess Cadance entrusted the Kingdom's protection to us," Sonata said.
"We're gonna rule the Crystal Empire," Aria said.
"For a week!" Shining Armor reminded. "Under Sunset Shimmer's supervision!"
"Right, uh not to sound like I don't trust any of you, nor do I want to sound like I'm questioning Twilight's judgement but...how did this idea come up?" Dinky asked.
"Even I'm surprised," Tirek said. "I mean if we wanted to, we could easily betray all of you and take over, no one would be able to stop us."
"Yes, you could do that, you could very well topple over the empire, plus the Crystal Heart is within range, so you can easily take that for your own gain and further your conquest of Equestria," Twilight said.
"Huh, hadn't thought of the Crystal Heart," Adagio said, the other villains nodding in agreement
"Twiley! Don't give them ideas!" Shining Armor pleaded.
"Oh we would have figured it out," Chrysalis said.
"My point is that they could do that, but I don't think they will," Twilight said. "I have faith that they'll be very responsible with the Kingdom and will be fair protectors."
"Yeah, what she said, we promise we won't try to take over," Sonata said. "I already promised Flurry and I would never break a promise to her."
"Princess rules," Flurry boasted
"Of course that's a long way off, so I can change my mind if they give me reason to," Twilight said. "Basically this is a Trust Test, by showing that I'm willing to trust them with an opportunity, they can hopefully learn to trust us as their friends. Of course this is gonna be a long while from now, so if they want this chance, they will have to earn it."
"One slip up and you can forget about coming anywhere near my Kingdom," Shining Armor warned.
"We'll be fine Princey," Adagio insisted. "Your kingdom is in good care."
"Well I'm happy you're all getting that chance," Rumble said. "You're all really nice when you want to be so I think you''ll do great."
"We appreciate that Rumble," Sonata said. "Also, this is a big day for you as well, a chance to join The Wonderbolts!"
"It would be my biggest accomplishment, and proof of all my hard work paying off," Rumble said. "I can't wait for this opportunity!"
"You won't have to wait much longer, the show's about to start," Twilight said. "I'll escort you to Spitfire, the rest of you can make your way in the arena, Shining Armor will hand out your backstage passes."
"I should have enough for everypony," Shining Armor said.
"Ahem..." Came Tirek's voice.
"And Tirek, you know what I mean!" Shining Armor said.
"This way Rumble," Twilight said, trotting off with Rumble following close behind her.
"Go get'em Rumble!" Sweetie Belle cheered. "He's so got this, Rumble's the best flyer in Equestria, at least in our age group."
"Eh, he's got competition," Scootaloo said.
"Huh? From who?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Remember the Barrel Twins, Pickle and Barley are just as good as Rumble, they might even be better," Scootaloo said.
Sweetie Belle scoffed at the notion, "They're good but Rumble's way better than they are."
"Hey Rumble's talented for sure, but to act like he's the only good flyer is kind of an overstatement," Scootaloo said.
"Are you saying that because you believe it? Or because Pickle's your new crush and you want him to be the best?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Hey I can ask the same of you, sounds like you're biased toward Rumble because he's your fiancé," Scootaloo said. "Which he is only because I chose not to pursue a relationship when I had the chance, and believe me, I had a BIG chance, you're not the only one Rumble's been romantic with."
Sweetie Belle's eye twitched momentarily, but she maintained her composure, "Scootaloo, some things you can keep to yourself, including being intimate with a pony you know I'm engaged to."
"Hey you seem cool with Rumble's accomplishments, considering Cozy Glow's living with you," Scootaloo said.
Cozy Glow looked away in embarrassment, but feeling a bit irate. Of course she wasn't the only one feeling mad right now, Sweetie Belle was fuming furious.
As if sensing Sweetie Belle's impending explosion, Apple Bloom quickly got in the middle, "Let's try to remain civil here, Scootaloo, don't brag about being with Rumble, and Sweetie Belle, try to understand that Rumble may have some type of competition."
"Well not like it matters, not like The Barrel Twins are here anyway," Sweetie Belle said, making her way into the arena just as Shining Armor presented her with her pass. "Now I'm going to observe as my fiancé becomes the best Wonderbolt in existence."
"Wait for me!" Cozy Glow said, following after Sweetie Belle, Shining Armor presenting her with a pass as well, then distributing it to everypony else one by one.
Apple Bloom took a breath of relief, before turning her attention to Scootaloo, the farm filly quite annoyed with her speedy friend. "Mind explaining why you were intentionally trying to tick off Sweetie Belle?"
"I wasn't trying to at first, but she got on my nerves with her whole, 'Rumble's the Best' thing," Scootaloo said. "That and she threw my crush on Pickle in my face."
"Sweetie Belle's just proud of Rumble and wants to believe he's the best, you can respect that, can't you?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Of course I can, and I think Rumble's amazing too, but I don't want her getting her hopes up just to have them dashed," Scootaloo said. "Plus...she was kind of wrong about the Barrel Twins."
"Huh? Wrong how?" Apple Bloom asked.
"You'll see when we get inside, let's go," Scootaloo said, making her way inside, followed by the rest of their friends, except the former villains.
"That got heated," Sonata said. "Sweetie Belle was about to lose her cool."
"Yeah, would have made for a nice snack," Adagio said, earning a glare from her friend. "Not that I would have actually feasted, I don't want to catch hell from Twilight."
"Sweetie Belle's admiration for Rumble is quite immense, it should be no surprise that she would think that highly of him," Chrysalis said. "Of course from what I've sensed, she's not the only one with immense admiration."
"Oh, another filly likes Rumble as much as Sweetie Belle?" Sonata asked.
"I do believe so, and I think we all know which filly it is," Chrysalis said.
"Cozy Glow?" Aria suggested, earning a nod from Chrysalis. "Figures."
"She isn't going to give up her admiration that easily after all," Chrysalis said. "Regardless of Rumble being with another filly, she never stopped loving him it seems."
"Probably doesn't help that she's pregnant with his kid," Tirek said. "I'm surprised she's not totally bitter, then again she could be hiding it."
"She's hiding some resentment," Adagio said. "But it isn't a lot, I don't think she's truly jealous of Sweetie Belle."
"If anything she feels more love in her heart, whatever Rumble and Sweetie Belle are doing to make her feel at peace, it's working," Chrysalis said. "Mostly anyway."
"Honestly I'm surprised she's lasted thing long," Adagio said.
"It's only been two months, Sonata pointed out.
"To somepony like Cozy Glow, that's probably a lifetime," Adagio said.
"Discuss this later, let's head inside already before they start wondering where we are," Aria said, making her way into the arena, the others following close behind.
Inside the arena, Rumble was stretching his wings out, getting himself ready for the biggest opportunity of his life. "Gotta pull this off, my biggest achievement is within reach, I just gotta go for it!" Rumble propped down and began doing some wing-ups to further ready himself. "Gonna show the world what I can do!"
"Rumble?" Came a familiar guy voice. He turned to see Pickle Barrel, the Pegasus he met at Hope Hollow.
"Huh? Pickle? You're here too?" Rumble asked.
"Yeah, Barley and I are here for the Wonerbolts tryouts," Pickle explained.
"Wow, that's surprising," Rumble said. "I mean, maybe not that surprising since you two have been training for this quite a while yourselves but still, for the three of us to do this on the same day."
"Yeah, imagine if we all get in," Barley said. "That'd be amazing!"
"I'd like that, of course I am going to do my best to outshine the two of you, there can only be one best after all," Pickle boasted.
"Yeah, me," Rumble boasted back. "But if I do become Captain after today, you two can be my second in command."
"Ha, you're so full of it," Barley said. "I'm gonna be Captain, I'll be just as great as Spitfire, if not better."
"Then it's settled, we're going in there as rivals," Rumble said. "Let's see who can pull out on top."
"Nothing like a little rivalry to push you to your best," Pickle said.
"When a pony has something to prove, that pony becomes the most intense competitor," Barley said.
The three put their hoofs in, "Let the competition, BEGIN!"
Out in the stands, Sweetie Belle was sitting with Cozy Glow close by her side. Sweetie Belle turned to her pregnant friend a second, making sure she was sitting comfortably. "Is this seat good for you?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Cozy Glow insisted.
"Just let me know if you feel overwhelmed, this is a big show, I don't want it to startle you, or our baby," Sweetie Belle said, taking a moment to rub Cozy Glow's stomach.
"I'm fine Sweetie Belle, don't worry," Cozy Glow said.
"Aw, how cute," came the voice of a passing pony named Lemon Honey. "You two are expecting?"
"Yes, two months pregnant," Cozy Glow said.
"That's sweet, you two make such an adorable couple, I wish you luck on your baby," Lemon Honey said as she continued to walk along.
"Thanks I...hey wait up," Sweetie Belle tried getting her attention, but she was gone. "Never mind."
Cozy Glow giggled a bit, "She thought we were a couple."
"Yeah, I was there Cozy Glow, I heard her too," Sweetie Belle said.
"Aw, so grumpy," Cozy Glow said. "I mean you are helping me take care of my baby, and you're going to be the baby's second mom, so she wasn't too far off."
"Guess not, but still, kind of awkward," Sweetie Belle said. "I mean, don't get me wrong, you're really pretty Cozy Glow, if I had to pick a marefriend, it would be you but I don't want ponies thinking we're together when I have a fiancé."
Cozy felt flattered that Sweetie Belle thought that highly of her, "Well at least it's just one pony."
"Yeah, you're right, nothing to worry about," Sweetie Belle said. "And if I see her later then I'll explain the misunderstanding."
"It all works out," Cozy Glow said. "But, for what it's worth, if I had to pick a marefriend, I would pick you too."
"You're so sweet," Sweetie Belle said, bringing Cozy in for a side hug. "Can you imagine if we ended up together though?"
Cozy Glow could imagine it a little, the two sitting together under the moonlight as they nuzzled one another. It was a bit strange to her how she's suddenly thinking of Sweetie Belle this way, usually it's Rumble on her mind, but Sweetie Belle had been catching her attention as of late.
The rest of the group had properly settled in as Twilight took to the center of the stadium, "Fillies and Gentlecolts, I bring you...The Wonderbolts!"
On cue, Spitfire flew in with her team, both Soarin and Fleetfoot close behind, Thunderlane, Cloud Chaser and Night Glider also making a flashy entrance. Coming in last but with the most style was Rainbow Dash, the mare showing off as usual, though given her fast right to the top, it was to be expected.
"Thank you for the introduction Princess," Spitfire said, taking the stand. "Today a new generation will begin to unfold as we give a chance to other up and coming flyers to perform with the best!"
As she said that, many of the newer Pegasus flyers started making their way to the starting line in the arena. Rumble took a good look around him, so many ponies were about to see him perform, it almost made him nervous but he had to do his best out here, especially with Sweetie Belle watching from the stands. Not just her, but all of his friends too, friends he cares deeply about.
The Barrel Twins also looked a bit nervous to perform, Pickle hid it a little better than Barley did however, which Rumble noticed.
"You feeling alright Barley?" Rumble asked.
"I'm fine, nothing I can't handle," Barley said. "I've performed in front of others before, me and Pickle have."
"But never this many," Rumble said. "Think you'll be able to hold your own out there?"
Before Barley could answer, Pickle interjected. "Hey, you're not trying to psyche my sister out are you!?"
"Huh!? Of course not, I would never do something so tactless," Rumble insisted.
"He's right Pickle, Rumble's too nice a guy to do something like that," Barley said. "He was just trying to help."
"Well get your head in the game sis, we have a chance to be Wonderbolts, don't let your past love for our competition get in your head."
"Hey to be fair, we can all get in," Rumble said.
"Yes, but who gets the biggest hype is what matters the most, and nothing would be more hype than twins taking over," Pickle said.
"Not wrong there, but I have my own following, I mean I was involved in the fate of Equestria quite a few times," Rumble said.
"Hey Barley and I were at the last battle too, and to my knowledge it's the only time you really did anything," Pickle said.
"Well, that settles it, I'm leaving you in the dust Pickle," Rumble said, then focused on Barley. "Hey, may the best Pegasus wow the crowd."
"You got it Rumble," Barley said, flashing a wink to her old crush.
"Alright flyers, on your marks!" Spitfire said, the foals getting ready for take off. "Get set, and GO!"
Rumble, the Barrel Twins and the other aspiring Pegusai took off, flying across the distance and around the arena, many of them sticking to a set path but performing unique tricks along the way with the set up attractions, including hoops, pillars, rainy clouds and even some fog machines designed to create visible obstacles.
"Go Rumble! You can do it!" Sweetie Belle cheered.
"Show those other Pegusai what you're made of!" Cozy Glow cheered.
"Rumble! Pickle! Barley! You got this in the bag!" Scootaloo cheered.
"So amazing," Tender Taps said, marveling at the ponies, especially the few that he knew. "So much talent. This is as exciting as auditions for a big play!"
"Ah bet Rumble's gonna nail this!" Apple Bloom said.
"Hell yeah he is, he's Rumble, the best flyer in Equestria!" Dinky said. "At least in our age group. Eh, nah, all of Equestria."
Rumble lived up to his reputation, performing mid-air spins effortlessly, rolls, narrow dives, he even flew backwards on occasion and spent a good chunk of his time flexing to the audience. Even many in The Wonderbotls seemed impressed, but also a bit worried.
"Wow, that kid's good," Soarin commented. "I can see why you had faith in him Rainbow Dash."
"What can I say? I know talent," Rainbow Dash said.
"He's being reckless though," Spitfire commented. "Just like Lighting Dust was."
"Uh, didn't you like Lightning Dust though?" Soarin asked. "That's what I heard."
"I did, before I realized she was way too unsafe, I mean have you seen her Wash-Outs show?" Spitfire asked.
"Yeah, it's some pretty gnarly stuff," Soarin said.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he picked up a few tricks from Lightning Dust," Rainbow Dash said. "She does like him, and he seems to respect her quite a bit."
"Still, this type of flying is unsafe, I thought Rumble had better sense than this, but I guess being an Equestrian hero is going to his head," Spitfire said.
"It just means he's a good showpony," Soarin said. "Gotta have that charisma."
"That part he probably got from Trixie," Rainbow Dash said.
"Uh, who's Trixie?" Spitfire asked.
"The Pony with the wizard hat who says she's 'Great and Powerful'," Rainbow Dash reminded.
"Uh, sounds sorta familiar," Spitfire said. "Not the point, we should wrap this up soon, I'm worried he's gonna get himself or somepony else hurt."
"Come on, Rumble's a pro, he knows what he's doing, and if you don't believe me, ask Thunderlane," Rainbow Dash said, gesturing in the pony's direction. "I bet he's seen Rumble do this enough times to know he'll be fine."
Meanwhile with Thunderlane, "Rumble better stop screwing around before he gets hurt." Cloudchaser, who was standing next to him, nodded in agreement.
Rumble continued flying in twirls, smirking to himself, "I'm totally nailing this, Wonderbolts, here I-" At that moment, Rumble clipped his wing against a hoop, causing him to lose his balance and crash down into a stack of barrels, much to the shock and worry of the crowd, especially Sweetie Belle and Cozy Glow.
"Rumble!" Sweetie Belle looked ready to go down but Rarity restrained her with her magic.
"Sweetie Belle, don't run out there, it's not safe!" the older pony warned.
"But Rumble's hurt!" Sweetie Belle shouted. "I have to check up on him!"
"He'll be fine, look Rainbow Dash and Thunderlane are already on the move," Rarity said, gesturing to the two ponies flying to where Rumble crashed.
"Little bro!" Thunderlane said, checking on Rumble.
"Hey, you alright buddy?" Rainbow Dash asked, moving some debris.
Barley had stopped mid-flight, taking a glance in Rumble's direction, "Oh no! Rumble!" She quickly broke away from the flight pattern to check on her friend, flying right by Rainbow Dash's side. "Is he alright!? How bad is it!?"
"Nothing too bad, at least I hope," Rainbow Dash said, checking Rumble's wing.
"Hey, Rumble, you with us there?" Thunderlane said, trying to help his brother regain consciousness.
"Huh?" Rumble opened his eyes, feeling a sharp pain, "Ow, my wing."
"Easy there, you may have injured it," Rainbow Dash said.
"I hope I didn't break it, the last time my wings got broken it was torture waiting for them to recover," Rumble said.
"Sorry bud, but that's a possibility you might have to accept," Thunderlane said.
"Rumble!" Came Sweetie Belle's voice yet again. "RUMBLE!"
"Boy she's really worried about you," Thunerlane said. "Can't blame her."
"Think you can stand?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Y-yeah, I think so," Rumble said, slowly trying to stand, Barley assisting him in that aspect.
"Rumble!" Sweetie Belle again called. "I have to go down there!"
"Stay put Sweetie Belle!" Rarity warned. "Rainbow Dash is on it, let her take care of Rumble."
"But...I need to be with him!" Sweetie Belle pleaded. "He's my fiancé, I have to be the one to take care of him."
"That is one determined kid," Adagio commented.
"Her love is indeed very powerful," Chrysalis added.
"So...did they cancel the rest of the show?" Tirek asked.
"Probably," Aria said.
Sonata shook her head in shame, "Come on, at least pretend you're sympathetic."
"Flurry! Get back here!" Came Shining Armor's voice, his daughter having taken it upon herself to fly out towards the injured colt.
"Rumble! I'm coming Rumble!" Flurry Heart called out, flying by Rumble's side. "I'm here for you!"
"Hey Flurry," Rumble greeted.
Sweetie Belle looked very much annoyed, "Oh so she gets to fly out there!?"
"Well she is a Princess, she can pretty much do what she wants," Apple Bloom said.
"That's bullshit!" Sweetie Belle shouted, Rarity horrified at her sister's language.
"Sweetie Belle! That type of talk isn't lady-like!" Rarity scolded.
In the midst of all this, all Cozy Glow could do is focus her gaze on Rumble, seeing the colt she loved so much take a bad fall was heartbreaking to the filly. "Rumble..."
Sweetie Belle took note of her pregnant friend's somber tone. "Cozy Glow?" Gently Sweetie Belle nuzzled against her friend. "Hey don't worry, Rumble will be alright. We can check on him later."
"Yeah, I know, I just can't help but worry," Cozy Glow said, nuzzling back.
During this, Lemon Honey, who had moved to get a better angle on the accident, noticed the sweet moment between Sweetie Belle and Cozy Glow. "Aw, you two are so cute together!"
Sweetie Belle groaned in annoyance as Cozy Glow giggled at her friend's grumpiness.
Twilight herself looked very worried for Rumble's well being, of course she trusted Rainbow Dash to properly care for the colt and get him back up and flying. Though now she doesn't feel it's the right moment to announce her engagement to the entirety of Equestria, at this rate nopony will know she's married until after her wedding.
Acting quickly, Twilight flew to the center of the stadium, "We're going to take a quick break to make sure our young flyer isn't too badly injured. To our other flyers, you all did well, but I am going to request your patience."
The other Pegusai didn't mind much, though Pickle Barrel seemed a bit annoyed that his chance at the Wonderbolts might suffer a bit of a delay.
In the back, Nurse Redheart is seen checking on Rumble's wing, the colt looking very worried, hoping it wasn't anything too bad. "So?"
"Your wing's sprained but otherwise alright," Redheart confirmed. "You were lucky, you were very close to really breaking it."
"Not the first time it would have been broken," Rumble commented. "Though last time had nothing to do with flying."
"Yes well, try to be careful, next time the injury could be permanent," Redheart warned.
Rumble's pupils shrank at the sound of that, "P-permanent? As in, no more flying? Ever?"
"Exactly, so be careful when you're flying Rumble," Redheart warned. "I'd hate to see such a talented boy's career end so soon."
"We'd all hate that," Rainbow Dash said, Thunderlane, Flurry Heart and Barley nodding in agreement.
"It's easy to want to show off, but that's when common sense kicks in," Redheart said. "Just remember Rumble, a resonsible flyer is a successful one."
"I will, thank you nurse," Rumble said.
"Well it is my job to help after all," Redheart said. "Just rest up for a bit, think you can do that for me?"
"Of course," Rumble said.
"That's a good boy," Redheart said as she began to leave. "I'll be back to check on you later."
"Wow, no more flying," Rumble said. "That thought is just terrifying."
"Make sure you obey the Nurse then little bro," Thunderlane warned. "It's not even about being a Wonderbolt, it's about your daily life."
"A Pegasus who can't fly might as well not be a Pegasus at all," Barley said.
"That's a little harsh to say considering Scootaloo can't fly," Rumble pointed out, much to Barley's embarrassment.
"Right, I almost forgot about her, she makes her wings work so well that I forget she can't fly," Barley said.
"Scootaloo can't fly, but she can use her wings, which is more than can be said about Rumble," Rainbow Dash said.
"Remember Rumble, you hated having your wings broken last time, don't do it again," Thunderlane warned.
"I won't," Rumble reassured.
Flurry plopped up on the bed, "You're already a talented flyer, you don't need to go that extra mile to prove that you're great. I already know you're great."
"Same here," Barley said. "Don't leave me and Pickle hanging when it comes to our Wonderbolts career, because I already envisioned the three of us, I'd hate for it to go back to just two."
"Speaking of which, what's gonna happen with the tryouts now?" Rumble asked.
"We're gonna have to continue on, it's only fair to the other contestants," Rainbow Dash said. "But don't worry, you may still get your invitation to the Wonderbolts Academy, Spitfire was very impressed with your flying."
"That's good to know," Rumble said. "At least my training wasn't put to waste."
"For now, just get some rest like Nurse Redheart suggested, we'll be back later to check on you," Rainbow Dash said. "Barley, Flurry, let's go."
"Give me a minute please," Barley said.
"Oh, um, sure thing," Rainbow Dash said. "Try not to take too long, you still have your own flying to do."
"I'm aware," Barley said.
"If she's staying then I am too," Flurry said.
"Oh no, we have to get you back, your dad was not happy you left," Ranbow Dash said. "You're lucky I even let you back here."
Flurry pouted in annoyance, "Fine, but I'm coming back."
Flurry reluctantly left with Rainbow Dash and Thunderlane, leaving Barley behind with Rumble, the filly plopping herself beside the bed.
"That was a really bad fall you took Rumble, you had me so worried," Barley said.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to cause you any grief," Rumble said. "Guess the moment just got to my head."
"I can totally understand that, but please take it back a notch next time," Barley requested. "I'd hate for you to get hurt like that again, like the nurse said, you won't be able to fly again if you injure yourself that badly."
"Funny, I thought my wings were indestructible, considering this isn't even the first time they got broken," Rumble said.
"Yeah you mentioned that before," Barley said. "What exactly happened?"
"You remember the sirens?" Rumble asked, getting a nod from Barley. "One night they tried taking Flurry Heart hostage to have leverage against Equestria, so I tried stopping them alone. They beat me up and their leader broke my wings."
"Ouch, and you're friends with them now?" Barley asked.
"Well Sonata was easy, she didn't actually hurt me, in fact she didn't want me to get hurt," Rumble said. "Aria didn't care much, Adagio was the harder one. But we've mostly made peace, they're all really nice once you get to know them. Same with Tirek and Chrysalis, they're more grumpy than mean now."
"It's still taking me a while to get used to them," Barley said. "I mean I saw them out in the stadium, it just felt weird, like at any moment they could attack."
"They've put that life behind them, at least I hope they did," Rumble said. "It has only been two months but from what I've heard, Chrysalis is making due at The Chaneling Hive and Tirek is somewhat getting along with his brother Scorpan. The Sirens live at The Crystal Empire where Sonata plays the role of Flurry's foalsitter, she's the easiest of the villains to get on our side because she was already pretty nice in the first place, she was just too loyal to her friends to really turn against them."
"Some ponies have credited you for them coming to our side, especially because of your relationship with Cozy Glow," Barley said. "I hear she's pregnant, how has that worked out for you? I mean, aren't you engaged to Sweetie Belle?"
"It hasn't been that bad, Sweetie Belle and I already made plans to adopt Cozy Glow's baby, or rather Sweetie Belle is since I'm already the baby's dad," Rumble said. "But Cozy Glow is still gonna live with us so she can help raise her foal as well."
"That's a really nice thing to do for Cozy Glow," Barley said. "So, is she really just living with you? Or is this you starting your own herd?"
"Just living with is," Rumble quickly answered. "No herd for me, I'm a one filly guy."
"Hm, well that's too bad," Barley said. "Almost wanted to get in on that."
Rumble blushed at the thought, he wanted to be surprised at the gesture, yet he also saw it coming to an extent. "Barley, I appreciate the gesture, but I thought you were over me."
"I personally wasn't fully over you, I just never pursued anything because one, we lived so far apart and two, you looked like you had a lot on your mind already, and weren't ready for a relationship," Barley explained. She then pulled herself onto the bed, laying right next to Rumble, the boy's heart beating fast. "But you were somepone I couldn't stop thinking about, our week together was so amazing, I've never liked a boy as much as I liked you."
"Well, that's flattering," Rumble said. "But there are plenty of other boys for you Barley, if you ever move to Ponyville, I bet I can find a guy or two for you. If you like fillies too then that opens up even more options, Ponyville is full of pretty girls."
"I do have options, but sometimes the most tempting things are the ones that belong to somepony else," Barley said. "Some ponies have cool Wonderbolts gear, some ponies have cool games, and some have really cute coltfriends."
"Well you can share most of those items, but you can't really share a coltfriend," Rumble said. "There is a certain sacredness to it and-"
"I'm bored, kiss me," Barley interrupted, catching Rumble off guard in a kiss, surprising the boy.
Acting quickly, he pulled away, looking pretty annoyed, "Hey! Come on I just said this wasn't ok!"
"I know, that's what makes it so exciting!" Barley said.
"What in the...?" Rumble shook his head. "I'm not doing this again Barley, bad enough I had Flurry Heart doing this to me, I don't need another filly, especially one that knows more than she does."
"You mean like sex?" Barley asked. "Actually, that sounds like a good idea right now."
"Huh?" Rumble's blush nearly betrayed his words before he snapped out of it. "Come on Barely! I don't want to do this to Sweetie Belle again!"
"Yeah, you're right," Barley said, almost surprising Rumble. "It wouldn't be fair to you or her. I don't think I could live with myself if I broke you two up. Still, I really want to feel some type of affection, I hated having to let you go and I just wanted a little more time with you."
"Barley..." Rumble felt some pity for the girl. If he could think of a way to help her without betraying Sweetie Belle's trust, that would be really helpful.
"Rumble!" Came Sweetie Belle's voice. Barley quickly flew off the bed just before the filly entered the room, joined by Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Dinky, Tender Taps, Pickle and a returning Flurry Heart.
"Oh hey girls, Tender Taps, Pickle," Rumble greeted.
"Flurry told us what happened, that if you're not careful you'll permanently damage your wings," Scootaloo said.
"Yeah, strict warning from the nurse," Rumble confirmed.
"That's terrible," Dinky said. "I can't imagine you not flying."
"Me neither, so I have to be careful next time," Rumble said.
"Accidents will happen, though my advice is look before you fly," Tender Taps said.
"No more stupid stunts, you're training to be a Wonderbolt, not a Washout," Sweetie Belle said.
"After that performance, I wouldn't be surprised if word got back to Lightning Dust and she gave me an offer," Rumble said.
"That's fine if she gives you one, just don't accept it," Sweetie Belle warned. "I don't want the colt I intend to marry to end up in the hospital on a weekly basis."
"Hey I'd like to think it wouldn't be that often," Rumble joked.
"I'm serious, no Washouts," Sweetie Belle said. "Honestly at this point, I don't even know if I want to see you in The Wonderbolts."
"Hey they're good Sweetie Belle, they're not gonna make Rumble do crazy stunts," Scootaloo said. "Unlike Lightning Dust who pressures others into doing stunts, it's a miracle she still has a crew."
"Well to be fair, that Rolling Thunder mare seems to enjoy it a lot herself," Apple Bloom said.
"Personally I'm with Sweetie Belle, Rumble does need to stay the hell away from Lightning Dust's group, but I also agree with Scootaloo that The Wonderbolts are more legit," Dinky said.
"If worse comes to worse, you can always perform at Briddleway with me," Tender Taps said.
"Or with Trixie's magic show," Flurry suggested.
"Oh no, he is not working with that blowhard," Dinky said. "He'd be better off with The Washouts, at least they're more of a legit entertainment group."
"You still don't like Trixie, after all these years," Rumble said.
"She's annoying, how Starlight puts up with her is a total mystery," Dinky said. "Speaking of Starlight, has anyone seen her out in the crowd like at all?"
"Starlight's just busy, if you want to see her we can just go to the School of Friendship," Apple Bloom said. "Maybe that can be an alternate career for you Rumble."
"Not much of a teacher," Rumble said. "Look I'll be fine, I just need some rest and I'm back out flying with the elites."
"Yeah, Rumble will be fine," Sweetie Belle said, plopping onto the bed. "Hey, can I get a little alone time with Rumble?"
"Alright, but remember his wings are busted, so don't be too rough," Scootaloo said. "Maybe let Rumble take the lead."
Sweetie Belle glared angrily at her friend, "I'm not gonna do THAT!"
"Do what?" Flurry Heart asked.
"Don't ask!" Sweetie Belle ordered.
Flurry turned away in annoyance, "So huffy."
"Come on, let's clear out, leave these two some privacy," Pickle said.
"Really nice of you to come check on Rumble bro," Barley said.
"I'm not here for Rumble, I'm here to get your flank back out into the stadium," Pickle said. "Let's move it, I still want to be a Wonderbolt."
"...Wow, such concern," Barley sarcastically remarked.
Pickle rolled his eyes in annoyance, "Whatever, let's go."
Even Scootaloo seemed a bit annoyed, she liked Pickle but she did not want him being rude to her friend and first crush. She turned to Rumble and Sweetie Belle, "We'll see you both later."
The others started making their way out of the room, leaving Sweetie Belle alone with her fiance. She turned her attention to him, gently stroking his face. "I'm glad you're doing alright."
"Yeah, nothing I can't handle," Rumble insisted.
"Honestly though, what happened out there really worried me, considering that there are other ways you can get hurt, even if you're in better control," Sweetie Belle said. "Accidents do happen."
"Well yeah, but it's part of the risks," Rumble said. "But if I fly better and don't go overboard, I reduce the chances at least."
'"I'm just worried, I don't want anything bad happening to you," Sweetie Belle said. "You mean way too much to me."
"And you mean everything to me, which is why I want this opportunity," Rumble said. "A chance to fly with The Wonderbolts, it's not just a dream, but an opportunity. Wonderbolts make decent bits, it'd help us buy a nice house, plus don't you want the glory of having a Wonderbolt for a husband?"
"I just want a husband who loves me, doesn't have to be anything grand," Sweetie Belle said. "You're perfect the way you are, you don't need some glamourous career to be special to me."
"Aw, you're so sweet," Rumble said. "That's why I fell in love with you."
The two locked into a kiss, Sweetie Belle starting to feel tingly inside. After breaking the kiss, she looked into Rumble's eyes. "Remember when I told Scootaloo I didn't want to get intimate with you here?"
"Uh, yeah?" Rumble said.
"Well I changed my mind," Sweetie Belle said, immediately making out with Rumble. She had to be careful not to further aggravate his wings, but she handled it well enough so that she could get her passion in without causing him any discomfort.
Breaking away, Sweetie Belle rubbed Rumble's face, looking him deep into his eyes, "Maybe you should take the lead here."
"Fine by me," Rumble said, laying Sweetie Belle on the bed. "But what if we get caught?"
"Then you better make it quick," Sweetie Belle teased.
"Right," Rumble said, making out with her again, getting himself ready for the intimacy. "I love you, and you're the only girl I want to do this with."
"Oh, you're not interested in having a guest?" Sweetie Belle teased.
"Of course not," Rumble said, covering himself and Sweetie Belle with a blanket for a sense of privacy.
"Not even Cozy Glow?" Sweetie Belle asked. "She is carrying your baby."
"Our baby," Rumble corrected. "And no, I mean, would you even want me to?"
"Technically, no, but I would understand if you did," Sweetie Belle said. "Maybe it's pity but I really do want Cozy Glow to feel affection, it's not fair that she's pregnant and single."
"Sweetie Belle, you're kind of dampening the mood," Rumble said. "I feel bad for Cozy Glow as well but for now she had to make due. Besides, if we include her, we'd have to include others."
"Others? Like who?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Oh, is it about Dinky? Does she still want you to get her pregnant?"
"Uh, well she does ask me but she's not the only one," Rumble said.
"Is it Apple Bloom? Has she asked?" Sweetie Belle questioned.
"No, she hasn't," Rumble confirmed.
"Is it Flurry Heart?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"She's too young!" Rumble angrily replied. "Though honestly at this rate, she may request I take her virginity when she knows what that means, and I really rather not have sex with her."
"Wow, you really are loyal to me, that or you just don't want to be with Flurry," Sweetie Belle said.
"Both, I can't make that mistake again," Rumble said. "I won't hurt you again. It's like I just told Barley, it would be-"
"Barley?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Oh right, you were just in the room with her. Wait did she hit on you?"
Rumble shamefully nodded, "I told her I wasn't interested, it kind of upset her but it wouldn't work out anyway. Her attraction is probably just physical anyway."
"Rumble, any girl who's liked you definitely liked you for more than just your looks," Sweetie Belle said. "You spent a week with Barley after all, you briefly dated her. I could believe she really likes you."
"Does it matter? I'm with you, and that's all who I want to be with," Rumble said.
"I do appreciate that, in fact it pleases me that so many girls like you and in the end you chose me," Sweetie Belle said. "I'm glad, I love you so much, and you're all I want as well. Maybe I'm just too sympathetic. I mean, over the last few years, I thought about that day I caught you kissing Cozy Glow. I was mad, really mad when I saw that."
"You had every right to be," Rumble said.
"I know, but at the same time, I just feel like I could have handled that so much better," Sweetie Belle said. "Remember the time you took Scootaloo on a pity date? This was some time after we first got together."
"I remember," Rumble said.
"Well I recall her kissing you, and I was actually there to see it, though neither one of you noticed me," Sweetie Belle said. "I was mad but not at you, mostly at Scootaloo. Maybe because I knew you weren't interested. But with Cozy Glow, I didn't know and I overreacted. If I hadn't gotten mad that day, what would you have told me?"
"I would have apologized of course," Rumble said. "But, I still feel like it would have ended because I did enjoy the kiss a little. If it were anypony else I wouldn't have cared but Cozy Glow just got me curious."
"So if it were Apple Bloom, you wouldn't have reacted that way?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"No, I would have pushed her away, same if it were Diamond Tiara, or Scootaloo again," Rumble said.
"Weird since you went on to date all of them," Sweetie Belle said.
"Yeah, I was double checking, that and I wasn't in the best state of mind, I made out with so many other fillies, I even had sex with Scootaloo, Diamond Tiara and of course Cozy Glow. I had fun, but the only other filly I felt something with was Cozy Glow, and I don't know why."
"Are you still in love with her?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"No, I mean, I don't think I am," Rumble said. "I love you, you're always the first on my mind, I can't love another."
"It's not that impossible, and it's alright if you still have some feelings for her," Sweetie Belle said.
"Sweetie Belle, she's living with us, I can't have feelings because I don't want to act on them," Rumble said.
"Hey you've done a good job so far, I think you're not giving yourself enough credit here," Sweetie Belle said. "Look, I'd rather not share you, and you know that of course. It's not even just because that's how it's suppose to be, that two ponies are together and nopony else. But it's also because I really don't want to have to share you, I want you to myself, you're mine and mine alone. But the more I think about it, Cozy's situation is partially my fault."
"How? You didn't get her pregnant, I did," Rumble said.
"But you only went to her because I let myself get intimate with Tender Taps, I should have just waited for you," Sweetie Belle said. "Honestly, I regret having sex with him, nothing against him but he really wasn't that great looking back and it just resulted in more pain. I feel bad for saying that, he's such a sweet boy, and it wasn't the worst thing in the world but I just feel like I messed up really badly."
"Sweetie Belle, don't blame yourself, I kissed Cozy Glow, I doubted our love, you deserved the chance to experiment with others even more than I did," Rumble said. "I...I wish I can say I regret the sex I had with those other fillies, deep down I regret just breaking up with you at all, but what's done is done. They were nice in their own ways, but they weren't you. Just think of it that way, when I have sex with you, it means I love you. Any time I'm with you, any time we're connected, it's always the best time for me. I just want to always be with you, to love, to kiss, for intimacy. You're the one I want to marry, not Cozy Glow or anypony else, and the next time I want a kid, I want you to be the one to carry the child."
"Oh Rumble, so romantic," Sweetie Belle said. "But...I still want to do something regarding Cozy Glow. She's become really dear to me, probably because the baby she's carrying is a baby I'll be a mother to."
"We'll do something for her, I promise," Rumble said.
"Good, I want her to be happy," Sweetie Belle said. She couldn't figure it out, but the more time she spent with Cozy Glow, the more she grew to love her presence, and the idea of her being part of the family.
"You're so generous, just like your sister," Rumble said, making out with Sweetie Belle again, this time getting back into the mood and ready for more intimacy.
Meanwhile Cozy Glow was seen walking off down the corridors, she didn't care much for the show outside, so she went to find some snacks. On the way to the stands, she overheard a couple of familiar voices.
"Easy Night Glider, I don't want anyone to catch us," one mare said.
"You worry too much Sugar Belle, we're just having a bit of fun," Night Glider said.
"Huh? Night Glider and Sugar Belle?" Cozy Glow flew to the sides and peeked inside a nearby room. There she spotted Sugar Belle, her back arched and hindlegs spread as Night Glider was propped over here, inches from her face.
"Is it really ok to be doing this?" Sugar Belle asked. "I thought you were still with Double Diamond."
"We're on break, been like that since my schedule got heavy, besides what about you and Party Favor?" Night Glider asked.
"He's...it's complicated right now, I haven't seen him in so long," Sugar Belle said. "I really do miss him."
"I miss Double Diamond but they're back home, and we're mostly stuck here," Night Glider said. "I want to keep my options open, and you're the only other pony I care about. Think about it, we're already friends, but we can be more than friends."
"Uh, I guess," Sugar Belle said. "If it doesn't work out, can we still at least be friends?"
"Of course," Night Glider reassured. "Trust me."
"Alright..." Sugar Belle said. "I'm ready."
Night Glider leaned in for a kiss with Sugar Belle, Cozy Glow's eyes widening as she pulled away from the door. "Golly, Sugar Belle really gets around."
"Gets around where?" Came Flurry Heart's voice, Cozy turning to her in surprise.
"Huh? What are you doing here?" Cozy Glow asked.
"I came to find you, Rarity was worried about you being by yourself since you're pregnant," Flurry Heart said.
"Only by two months, I'm not completely helpless," Cozy Glow insisted. "Wait, she sent you to find me?"
"Actually she sent Apple Bloom and Dinky, I came on my own," Flurry said.
"Wow...you're really going to upset your parents," Cozy Glow said.
"Oh they can't stay mad at me," Flurry said. "Anyway what's happening in that room?"
"Uh...two ponies kissing, nothing more," Flurry explained.
"Ooh! Romance! Can I see!?" Flurry asked.
Cozy hushed the Princess, "Not so loud, you'll get caught."
"Right, sorry," Flurry said. "But can I see?"
"Uh...is that really alright?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Why wouldn't it be, I kissed Rumble, and you," Flurry said.
"Yeah, you did," Cozy Glow said, remembering the quick kiss she shared with the Princess. "That really took me by surprise."
"Well you're really pretty, just like me, so you deserve it," Flurry said. "So, may I see them?"
"Eh, alright I guess, I mean what's the worst that can happen," Cozy Glow said.
"Okie dokey," Flurry said, quietly making her way toward the door. As she peeked inside, she noticed something unusual. "Uh...why does one of them have her face between the other's leg?"
Cozy Glow's pupils shrank, that's the one thing she forgot to consider, given their conversation she should have expected it but somehow it zipped past her head. Awkwardly she peeked into the room and sure enough, Night Glider had her face in Sugar Belle's crotch, putting her tongue to work as the baker filly moaned in pleasure.
"Wow, she really likes it," Flurry said. "That or it hurts."
"Flurry, come with me please," Cozy Glow said.
"But I wanna see more," Flurry said, then felt herself get pulled away.
"Hey, did you hear something?" Sugar Belle asked.
Night Glider pulled her head away and noticed that the door was creaked open, "Crap, forgot to prop that door shut." She quickly flew over, closed the door, placed a doorstop to keep it closed and back to her position. "There, all taken care of. I don't think anyone saw us though, we're good."
"I hope not, one time I thought I was being sneaky with Party Favor, then I found out that Cozy Glow spotted us," Sugar Belle said.
"Had that same problem with Tender Taps, poor kid, I hope I didn't scar him," Night Glider said, then looked down at her friend's flower. "Want me to continue?"
"Yes please," Sugar Belle said, moaning the moment Night Glider resumed her oral work.
Back in the halls, Cozy Glow awkwardly walked away from the lockerroom, amazed by what she saw. "Golly...I don't think I've ever seen two mares in such a position."
"What were they doing?" Flurry asked.
Cozy knew there was no point in denying it, but this was gonna be awkward to explain, "Please do not tell anypony I told you."
"I won't," Flurry said.
"Do you promise!?" Cozy asked. "Really promise!?"
"Really promise," Flurry reassured.
Cozy looked Flurry in the eyes, "You can't tell anypony! If you do, they'll come for me! Pretty please don't tell anypony!"
"I promise Cozy Glow," Flurry said, gently rubbing her mane. "I won't do anything to get you in trouble."
"Good," Cozy Glow said. "Now, what they were doing was...they were having sex."
"Oh...what is that?" Flurry asked.
"It's something two ponies do when they really love each other," Cozy Glow said. "I mean they have to REALLY love each other, like your mommy and daddy."
"Oh, so do mommy and daddy do that?" Flurry asked.
"Y-yes," Cozy Glow said. "There's more to it than that but yes, it makes the other pony feel good, that's why Sugar Belle sounded so happy."
"Oh, ok," Flurry said. "Have you done it?"
Cozy Glow nodded, "Yes, with Rumble."
"Oh! Would Rumble do that with me!?" Flurry Heart asked.
"No! He's with Sweetie Belle, and he loves her, so he only has sex with her," Cozy replied.
"Aw, I hate that," Flurry said.
"Me too," Cozy Glow absent-mindedly admitted. She quickly realized what she said and tried to cover it up, "I mean, I hate that you can't experience it from Rumble, I know you like him. But those are the rules."
"Well, who can I experience it from?" Flurry asked.
"With somepony you love, and who loves you back," Cozy Glow explained.
"Alright, wonder how long that will take?" Flurry asked.
"Be patient, you're a beautiful filly, you'll find somepony," Cozy Glow said. "Try to wait til you're a bit older though, and please don't experiment with anyone, please Flurry Heart."
"I won't," Flurry said. "But, if I do this favor for you, I want you to do something for me."
"...What?" Cozy asked, somewhat worried.
"Kiss me," Flurry said, puckering her lips.
"Oh, is that it?" Cozy Glow asked. She leaned down to kiss the Princess. "There."
"Wow, so much easier than Rumble," Flurry said. "That must mean you love me a little more."
"Rumble loves you, he's just not that comfortable kissing you," Cozy Glow said. "Of course I really do love you so it's easy to kiss you."
"So, do you think we can have sex?" Flurry asked.
Cozy Glow blushed at the question, but she should have seen it coming, "I'll think about it, when you're older at least."
"Yay, I promise if we do have sex, to make you feel great!" Flurry said.
"Aw, you're sweet," Cozy Glow said, feeling a bit weirded out by this conversation. Just the thought of Flurry Heart giving her that type of pleasure was not one she wanted to vividly imagine just yet. However the idea of doing that with a filly did pass through her mind. She enjoyed it when Rumble did it for her, to do that with a nice filly like Sweetie Belle would make for an interesting scenario.
Cozy's eyes widened, she just imagined a position like that with Sweetie Belle, wondering if she really is starting to grow attached to the filly.
"Well, I should get you back to Rarity," Flurry Heart said. "Let's hurry!"
"Right," Cozy Glow said, following after the Princess, the same Princess who she just made a promise to get intimate with in the future. Cozy was already feeling a bit sickened by her agreement, but it can't be helped down, part of her hopes Flurry would just forget everything she saw tonight.
Out in the stadium, of couse, Spitfire had announced her Wonderbolt line up opportunities. "Pickle, Barley, you two performed the best out of everypony here, I'd like to offer you both a chance at Wonderbolts Academy!"
"Awesome!" Pickle said, hoof bumping his sister. "My chance to shine!"
"Yeah, great," Barley said, pitying Rumble, who wasn't around.
"In addition, while he got hurt flying, Rumble still showed great potential, and I would like to annoucne that he too will have a chance at Wonderbotls Academy!" Spitfire announced.
"YES!" Barley cheered, much to her brother's annoyance.
"Alright, wait til we tell Rumble!" Scootaloo said.
"Yeah, just wish Sweetie Belle were here fer the announcement, she would have been a great pony to tell Rumble," Apple Bloom said.
"Wait, where is she? Is she still with Rumble, what could they be doing?" Dinky asked.
"Give you one guess," Scootaloo said, the others understanding what she meant.
Back in the nurse's room, Redheart had just came in, "Alright now Rumble, I hope you're well rested, so we can-"
In that moment, she spotted Rumble in bed, as he promised, with Sweetie Belle right next to him, their manes looking super messy, both of then were really sweaty and a weird scent filled the air.
"Hey nurse..." Rumble greeted. "Uh, I stayed in bed like I promised."
"Right..." Redheart said. "And I bet you took really good care of him, didn't you young filly?"
"Y-yes, you could say that," Sweetie Belle said, nervously rubbing her head.
"Right, well if you two are done, I'd like to get you both cleared out, unless you were planning on more," Redheart said.
"Oh no, we're good," Rumble said. "Let's go dear."
"Right," Sweetie Belle said, nervously getting off the bed, trying to hide her somewhat exposed areas, especially considering the leaky substance coming from her private areas. Rumble also tried covering up, having not fully retracted, both of them using their tails for extra privacy.
"Alright, ready to move out," Rumble said, the two awkwardly walking out of the room.
Redheart groaned in annoyance as she turned to the bed, spotting some sticky substances, "Perfect..."
Rumble and Sweetie Belle awkwardly walked back to the stands, trying their best to straighten their manes out.
"Well, that was awkward," Sweetie Belle said.
"Yeah, but it was worth it, you were amazing," Rumble said.
"Well you did most of the work, but thanks," Sweetie Belle said. "Let's hurry back, I imagine the show's just about done."
"Wonder if there's anything left for them aside from the tryouts?" Rumble asked.
Meanwhile back in the stadium, Twilight took the center again, "By the way, I'm getting married!" She gestured towards her fiance. "To him, Tender Taps!"
There was nothing but a stunned silence as everypony turned their attention to the colt, who looked a bit freaked out. Despite overcoming his stage fright years ago, the boy could not help but feel overwhelmed right now.
"What's wrong Tender Taps, you look T-t-t-terrified!" Dinky teased.
"Buck off!" Tender Taps said.
"Dude..." Scootaloo began. "Nopony says that."
Tender Taps groaned in annoyance, "Well, at least the secret is out in the open, I can only imagine what would come of this."
In a contest of awkwardness, the race is close between Cozy Glow, Rumble and Tender Taps, how each one handles their moment is still something of wonder.
