Chapter seven
Things are different
Phoebe had not gone to sleep easily. She hadn't heard from Elise in a few days but this was partly because she was avoiding her. She had been refusing to go to her office and had started working from home. She couldn't imagine what Elise was thinking, how she felt. She didn't want to know, she couldn't lose someone else. Not again. Elise had become so much more than her boss, she was her friend. One of her best friends. She couldn't stand the thought Elise now hated her or thought she was a monster. She should have erased Elise's memory instead of confessing she's a witch. Then everything could have gone back to normal.
When she finally did fall asleep, she wasn't asleep for every long. The sound of the alarm clock went off and she felt her husband get up from their bed and heard his footsteps cross the room towards the door. She kept her eyes closed and attempted to fall back asleep but all she could think about was Elise fainting at magic school. Her eyes opened and she got out of bed, her feet slipped into a pair of grey slippers. Being nine months pregnant, there wasn't much in her wardrobe that still fit her. She was in this blue nightgown that made her look huge. She avoided the mirror due to this and left the bedroom.
Instead of heading for the kitchen where she assumed her husband was, Phoebe entered the nursery. Her sisters had dropped by the day before and helped her decorate the room in an attempt to cheer her up. Though it had worked in the moment, the excitement had soon passed and was replaced by worry and self-hatred. It really was a beautiful nursery. The walls painted a light pink matched with a light-grey carpet. A big window on the back wall giving a great view of the golden gate bridge, but it was currently covered up by thin white curtains. On the left-hand side, a white dresser stood white a changing mat on top. On the wall above hung an empty picture frame. She was going to take family pictures next month and was going to put one in the frame. Beside the dresser was a little rocking horse. On the back wall beside the window on the left side, that is where the baby's crib was. Above it, on the wall was the baby's name in Purple wooden letters. In the top right corner of the room, there was a rocking chair, positioned diagonally. A circular small pink carpet in the middle of the room.
"Oh. I hope I didn't wake you." Phoebe turned around to see her husband in the doorway. "It's fine. What are you doing in here?" Coop looked down at the floor next to the door where Phoebe's hospital bag sat, though she wasn't planning to have the baby at a hospital but rather at the manor. "Baby can come anytime now. I thought I'd move the bag over to the front door. Figured it would be more convenient there." Phoebe nodded and as Coop picked up the bag, she burst into tears. Her husband dropped the bag and walked over to her, he wrapped her up in his arms as she cried on his shoulder. A moment passed before he spoke. He kept his voice soft. "I'm sure she doesn't hate you, and anyone who knows you couldn't possibly think you're anything but a kind and beautiful person." Phoebe stopped crying but her sobs continued for a few seconds. "You should have seen her face." Coop pulled her away and lifted her face, he leaned in and kissed her gently on her lips. "I did. She was in shock, Phoebe. She had no idea the world we belong to exist." Phoebe nodded knowing this was true but she couldn't shake off the feeling that Elise hated her. "You're an empath. Didn't you get anything from her? When you confessed to being a witch?" Phoebe shrugged. "There were too many emotions. I couldn't make sense of them." Coop nodded and Phoebe buried her face in his chest. "Maybe you should call her. You'll never know if you don't talk to her." Phoebe shook her head. "I can't. I'm not ready. I just need to focus on staying calm so our daughter's birth goes smoothly."
"Don't you dare!" Wyatt was in an argument with Chris and Piper had just caught him getting ready to chuck his bowl at him. The bowl was full of milk and lucky charms cereal. Wyatt looked at his mother and quickly put his bowl back down on the table. "Use your words." Wyatt looked back at his brother who was sticking his tongue out at him. "I don't like that. Please stop." Chris didn't stop and Wyatt looked at his mother for help. She was sitting on the other side of the table. Leo was seated next to her. "Chris, Wyatt asked you to stop. That means you are doing something to him that he doesn't like, and you need to stop doing it." Chris looked at his mom and stuck his tongue out at her. Piper slowly got up and gave him "the look." Chris's face dropped and he orbed out. "Oh no you don't. Leo, get your son back here." "I'll do it, mommy," Wyatt offered. "Nope. You stay right there. Leo!" Leo got up but before he could do anything, Chris orbed back in. The toddler crossed his arms at his chest. "Hey! Who orbed me back?" This confused his parents. "You didn't orb back yourself?" Leo asked. Chris shook his head. He had an adorable pissed-off look on his little face. Piper looked at her other son and gave him a look. "It wasn't me," Wyatt quickly responded. Piper kept looking at him. "I'm not lying." "Then who-" A giggle caught their attention. "Oh great," Piper said. "She can orb now. That's going to be fun." Piper dramatically dropped down into her chair and sighed. "We knew Melinda was probably going to have white-lighter powers, she has an orb shield. Really, it was only a matter of time," Leo pointed out. Piper gave him a look.
Coop had offered to stay home but Phoebe didn't want him to get in trouble with the boss cupid for not working. However, before Coop actually started his cupid duties, he paid a visit to the bay mirror. He walked in like a normal person and found Elise ordering around some of her employees. He waited until she had gone back to her office and followed her in. He knocked on the door catching her attention. He walked in and closed the door. Elise jumped up from her chair. "Phoebe. Is she okay? Did something happen?" Coop approached her. Being a cupid, he like Phoebe, had the power of sensing people's feelings. "Phoebe is fine aside from being worried about how you're feeling. Which, I am quite surprised by. I thought it'd take you longer to accept her." Elise looked at him blankly. "I'm a cupid. One of my powers of empathy. Phoebe has that power too but she's not a cupid. She's just a witch." Elise sat back down in her chair. "I wanted to call but I didn't know what to say." Coop took another step towards her. "Phoebe is beside herself with worry. However, I recommend you wait until Phoebe has the baby. She's more worried about that than anything else. I'll let you know when it happens."
Paige was in the twins' nursery attempting to get Tamora into a fresh diaper. The baby was making a fuss, thrashing around her legs and arms and screaming on the top of her lungs. Kat was also having a meltdown as she sat in her crib. Henry came into the room with Emma. "You have a visitor, I'll take over." Paige happily led Emma out of the room as Henry took over with Tamora. She led her into the living room. Emma sat down on the couch, Paige sat next to her. "Do babies always cry that much?" Emma asked. Being only twelve, and having just turned twelve, Emma hadn't given any thought towards having children of her own someday. "Some babies. My nephew Wyatt was a pretty good baby, his brother too. Why are you here, Emma, and do your parents know you're here?" Emma nodded.
"My dad dropped me off. I told him you'd drive me to school afterward. I hope that was okay."
"I have to drop the twins off at magic school, Henry can drive you to school."
"Oh, I'm not sure my dad would like me being in a car with someone I don't know."
"Henry's a parole officer. I think your dad would be fine with it. I trust him."
"I want to tell my family."
Paige's eyes widened and a bark of laughter came from her throat. "I never thought I'd hear you say that." Emma shrugged and only the sound of two babies crying in the distance could be heard. "I'm ready now. I just hope they're ready to hear it." Paige nodded to her understandingly and then rose from the couch. "You got your bag?" Emma nodded and her eyes went over to the front door when she had placed her bag down. "You'll be late if you don't leave now. I'll send Henry out. I'll pick you up after school and we will tell your parents together." Emma nodded and got up from the couch herself. She went over to the front door to retrieve her bag as Paige went down the hall towards the nursery.
Henry and Emma entered the parking lot and Henry led the tween over to his car. Out of politeness, he opened the passenger door for her. Emma climbed in and placed her bag down in front of her legs. She began to tie herself into the car as Henry closed the door and walked over to the other side. He opened the driver's door and climbed in. He tied himself in then looked over at the child. "You tied?" Emma nodded. "What school do you go to?" "Westcott." Henry let out a small laugh. "You and every other grade-school kid I know." Emma shrugged in response and Henry put the car into drive.
They were on the road, Emma was being very quiet. "Emma, you know what Paige is but did she ever tell you what I am?" Emma shook her head. Paige didn't like to share things about her personal life when she was with clients, especially young clients. "I'm mortal. Boring right?" Emma laughed at his comment but then she shrugged. "I don't think it would be so bad to just be normal." Henry shook his head. "It's boring, trust me. You have something that makes you special. Every kid looks for that one thing that makes them different, that makes them special, and most have such a hard time finding it. You were born with an incredible life but you can't make anything of it if you don't fully accept and embrace who you are." Emma looked out her window at the rapidly passing trees and houses. "It's not that easy, you know? I'll never know who I can trust, and how do I tell if someone is like me?" Henry nodded, he kept his eyes on the road. "Paige struggled with it too, I"m sure she told you that. You know what helped her? She had her family to lean on, to trust." Emma looked over at him. She could see what Paige liked about him, he was cute. "I already told Paige I'm willing to tell my family. That's why I came over." Henry nodded again. "Good." He realized he had gotten off track with his point. "As I was saying, I am mortal. That means until Paige told me her secret, I had no idea about the world she and you belong to." Emma kept her eyes on him as she processed this. "How did she know she could trust you with the secret?" The car entered the parking lot of Westcott elementary school, and Henry parked. He turned in his seat to look her in the eyes. "She didn't. Not for sure." "Well, how did you react?" Henry took a moment before answering. "I love her and so I accepted her right there and then. I never regretted it, never thought twice." Emma smiled at him and retrieved her bag. "Have a good day." The child nodded and opened the car door.
Wyatt looked around at the other kids running around the gym. Austin wasn't at school and Darryl Junior was in his classroom. Mrs. Wellington was tending to a girls' scrape using a fist aid kit. Wyatt looked saddened. He wanted to play with the other kids but was too shy. Without his teacher noticing, Wyatt left the gym and wandered out into the deserted hallway. The lockers looked much taller and the hallway much longer. He walked slowly and when he reached the end of the hallway, he just stood there. There were two hallways to choose from now and he couldn't remember which hallway led back to his classroom. To him, the school was huge and he was just a little guy, not even tall enough to reach the water fountain. Tears spilled from his eyes, a frown on his precious little face.
Phoebe sat on the rocking chair in her daughter's nursery. Tears slipping down her cheeks. She was alone in the house and without her husband home, the house was too empty, too quiet. Until a swirl of blue light appeared. At first, Phoebe assumed it was Paige coming to check on her. Leo was at magic school teaching his class so it couldn't be him. Turned out it wasn't Paige either. It was her nephew. "Wyatt? What are you doing here?" Wyatt didn't respond but the tears in his eyes said it all. "Come sit with auntie Phoebe." Wyatt approached his aunt and she helped sit on her lap. Though there was barely any room on her leg since her bump was so big. Wyatt leaned into her, resting his head on her chest. Phoebe wrapped one arm around him and the two just sat there in silence.
A while later, Phoebe had Wyatt orb them to his elementary school parking lot. Phoebe took his hand and led him over to the fenced-in play area connected to the two kindergarten classrooms. "Okay, if your class isn't back yet just wait for them in the classroom. Don't go off by yourself again." Wyatt nodded. Phoebe lifted him over the fence and gently put him down. She stayed until her nephew had entered the correct classroom. Wyatt looked around, the classroom was empty. His class was still in the gym. Principle Goerge came in and looked very relieved to find little Wyatt. "Mrs. W told me you left the gym without permission." He kneeled down in front of the child. "You can't leave class without telling your teacher, okay. We don't want you to get lost or hurt." Wyatt nodded to say he understood. "Okay, I'm going to take you back to your teacher now." Wyatt nodded again as his principal got up. He took his hand and was led out of the classroom.
As promised, Paige picked Emma up from school at the end of the school day and drove her home. They were now seated in her living room on armchairs with her parents seated across from them on the couch. "Emma has something very important she'd like to tell you about," Paige informed. She looked at Emma and gave her an encouraging nod. Emma looked at her parents. She thought she'd feel a lot more nervous about telling them but really she felt ready. "Mom, dad." She cleared her throat. "I am a witch. I can freeze water and then melt it." Her parents looked unsurprised, just as Paige had predicted. "That is your grandmother's power," Mrs. Benson told her. Emma smiled out of relief. "Did you already know I'm a witch?" Both of her parents nodded, her mother explained further. "We both are so we assumed you'd be too. We wanted you to experience a normal childhood so we raised you mortal and hid our powers, we were going to tell you when you turned thirteen." Emma looked over at Paige. "You were right all along." She looked back at her parents. "Mrs. Matthews, you look unsurprised. Is it safe to assume you're magical too?" Paige nodded. "Paige is awesome, she's a white-lighter-witch." Paige smiled. "I'm from the warren line of witches. So are my sisters." Emma's parents nodded and then Mr. Benson made the connection. "Warren witch huh, how many sisters do you have?" Paige straightened herself up. "Technically I have three but one of them passed away about six years ago." Mrs. Benson made the connection now. "You're a charmed one?" Paige nodded. "Do you have any children?" Mr. Benson asked out of curiosity. "Yes. I have six-month-old twin daughters. Well, they'll be six months in three days." She almost added that her sister's kids were charmed ones too but then she remembered she and her sisters had decided it was best to not share this information, at least not until the kids were grown.
The Halliwell manor was quiet as it was two in the morning on November thirteenth. Leo and Piper had been sleeping when a cell phone went off waking them both. Piper reached over to the nightstand to collect her phone. It was Phoebe's number but Coop who was calling. "The baby's coming. Like right now." Piper sat up in alarm catching Leo's attention. He sat up as well and looked at her. "Get her here now." She hung up the call and looked at Leo. "Get the birthing pool ready. I'm going to call Paige. We will meet you downstairs.
To save time, Leo orbed water into the birthing pool in the living room. Coop beamed in with Phoebe and the hospital bag. (They were planning on spending a day or two at the manor after the birth to allow Phoebe time to recover before moving her back home. Paige orbed in half asleep and Piper came running down the stairs so fast that she almost tripped and tumbled down. Piper and Paige helped their sister out of her clothes while Leo went upstairs to give them privacy. They helped her get into the pool. Coop rushed over and kneeled down. He held onto her hand tightly.
A baby's cry was heard.
Phoebe cried herself as the baby was placed against her chest. Coop's eyes were all red and watery. Piper and Paige also in tears of joy. The baby's cries slowly stopped until silence had filled the room. Phoebe looked at her husband and then down at her tiny little baby daughter. "She's so beautiful," she whispered. "Of course she is, she's a Halliwell," Piper replied in a soft tone. Coop was speechless as she looked at his little miracle. "So, are we finally going to know her name?" Paige asked. Phoebe looked at her husband who nodded to confirm the names. "I picked her first name and Coop picked her middle name." She sniffled. "We filled with joy and happiness to introduce our daughter: Prudence-Johnna Halliwell." Piper and Paige shared an "I knew it" type of look. "We thought a cute nickname would be P.J." Coop mentioned. Piper and Paige nodded in agreement.
Piper took the baby into her arms and looked down at her for a brief second. "Hi P.J., welcome to the family. I'm auntie Piper." A few tears leaked from her eyes and down her cheeks. She then brought the baby to the downstairs bathroom to wash her up and wrap her in a clean towel. Piper returned with the baby just a few minutes later, the baby now fast asleep. She handed her over to Paige. Leo came down with the video camera and hit record, he put the camera on Paige as she emotionally met the baby. Paige stroked her niece's cheek and gently played with her tiny little fingers. "She likes that, I can feel it," Phoebe told her.
When morning fell, Piper's children had woken up. Leo, with his camera recording, brought the boys to his and Piper's bedroom to meet the new baby. Phoebe had been transported upstairs in her sister's bedroom for comfort. Chris ran over to the bed and climbed on. He crawled onto Coop's lap and looked at his new baby cousin. He just stared at her. Wyatt walked to the side of the bed Phoebe was one and took a quick look at the baby. Uninterested, he orbed out. Piper came in holding Melinda and brought her over to Phoebe to meet the baby. Melinda looked at her and started crying. Piper had to take her out of the room and calm her down.
Paige had gone home to get her daughters to magic school and Henry stopped by the manor on his way to work. Leo led him into the bedroom and turned on the camera again. Phoebe smiled Coop came over with the baby. Henry looked at her and smiled. A tiny patch of brown hair and she had these sparkling brown eyes. "Her name's Prue," Coop whispered to him. "After Phoebe's late sister." Henry nodded and walked over to Phoebe. He leaned down and planted a quick kiss on her forehead. "Congratulations, Phoebe." Phoebe was just beaming. Finally, her biggest life desire had happened. She was a mother. A mother to a healthy beautiful cupid-witch newborn daughter. "Does she have any powers yet?" Henry asked Coop. He wasn't sure how long it took children to develop their powers but he did know some were fast than others. "Not yet. We don't know when she will or what powers she'll have. The twins?" Henry nodded. "They can't orb themselves or other people but they can orb pacifiers."
A few minutes after Henry had left for work, Coop came into the bedroom with a surprise visitor. "Elise." Elise waved at her shyly. "You can come closer," Phoebe invited. Elise nodded and approached Phoebe. She looked at the infant and smiled. "Is she a witch?" Elise asked. "Part witch. Coop's a cupid so she's got that in her too. She's a cupid-witch." Elise nodded and Phoebe's empathy power went off. "You regret not settling down and having children of your own." Elise looked at her confused. "How did you... oh, right. Magic." Phoebe nodded. "Sorry, I'm usually better at keeping that power under control." Elise didn't seem bothered by it. "What's her name?" Phoebe looked down at her daughter and smiled warmly. "Prue-Johnna Halliwell. P.J. for short. She was named after my oldest sister, Prue. She died." Elise didn't know what to say so she simply nodded. "She's beautiful, Phoebe. I know you and Coop will take good care of her and raise her right. Don't worry about your column. Take as much time as you need." A few tears leaked down from Phoebe's brown eyes.
"So, I have to ask, is everyone you know a witch?" Phoebe chuckled and shook her head. "My sisters are all witches but Paige is special. She's a white-lighter-witch. White-lighters are sort of guides for witches, they protect us, well only good witches. My mom was a witch and her mother too but not her father, he was mortal. My dad is mortal too. Paige is our half-sister, we share our mom, her dad is white-lighter, Leo is too. So Piper and Leo's kids are the same as Paige. So are Paige's kid, but Henry, her husband, he's mortal. Coop's a cupid. Um, our friend Billie is a witch. Our friends Darryl and Sheila, they're mortals but they know about us, their sons are mortals too." Elise nodded though wasn't sure she had gotten all of it. "This is a lot to take in but I care about you Phoebe, and this doesn't change that. I know you so I know you'd never use these powers for evil." Hearing these words gave Phoebe a huge sense of relief.
"I am surprised the hospital discharged you this early. Why did you come here instead of going home?" Elise asked.
"I actually had the baby here, and yes I did plan to."
"Can I ask why?"
"This wasn't my first pregnancy and it's a long story. To summon it up, I was married to a demon who I thought had changed. I got pregnant with his baby, it was a boy, and then an evil creature known as the seer, she magically stole my baby from my womb and put it into her own but the baby's powers were too strong for her and she kind of well exploded killing the baby in the process. While I was pregnant I had a dream that I had the baby in the hospital and the seer kidnapped him. After that, I knew I was never going to give birth outside this manor if I had the choice."
"Wow. I'm sorry."
Elise had headed for work and Billie had arrived to meet the baby. It was her lunch break. While she was holding the baby, Victor arrived wanting to meet his newest granddaughter. Billie carefully placed the baby into his arms. He looked at her little face as he gently rocked her. "Another beautiful Halliwell girl, she looks just like you, Phoebe," Victor said. Phoebe smiled and looked up at her husband. He looked at her and they shared a kiss. A few minutes later Darryl and Sheila arrived. At this point, Phoebe was able to get up and walk around.
A few days had passed and it was now Saturday. Melinda was up at down and not interested in going back to sleep after her diaper had been changed. Holding her daughter in her arms, she started to carry her out of the nursery when suddenly she was orbed into the kitchen. Melinda giggled though Piper hadn't found it very funny. She let out a sigh and placed the baby down in her high chair. She decided to get her a bowl of mashed bananas to tide her over for a few hours. She knew by the time her big brothers were having breakfast she'd be hungry again. Melinda giggled in her high chair and playfully banged on the tray. Hearing her, Piper smiled to herself. Melinda had once been a grouchy baby but was now always in such a happy mood in the morning.
Henry had the job on his mind as he got himself ready for work. He had gotten up an hour earlier than usual to catch this kid before school knowing he planned on some graffiti on the high school he attended. Tamora and Kat were on the living room couch giggling and wiggling around as their mother tickled them. Henry came from the bedroom and a smile formed on his face at the sight of his happy daughters and happy wife. Though the twins weren't going to be happy when it came time to put their clothes on. Right now they in just their diapers. He walked over to them and planted a kiss on his wife's head.
Paige watched her husband leave and put the twins down on the floor. She seated herself on the side of the room and started calling their names. Paige had been teaching them to crawl for about two weeks. Tamora started crawling over to her mother first and Kat followed in her lead. Kat was faster than Tamora was and so she reached their mother a few seconds before her sister did. Paige scooped them up in her arms and gave them a gentle little hug and she kissed the tops of their little heads. She placed them back on the floor and reached over for their rattles that lay nearby. She handed them to the twins and then got up. She had some laundry baskets in the living room that she had put off folding for a few days.
Phoebe and Coop were both exhausted. They had taken turns all night looking after baby Prue. Phoebe was currently getting dressed as she was heading into the office today. Now that her baby had been born, Phoebe was just fat and somehow that was worse. She knew it would take time but also knew she'd never get her pre-pregnancy body back. She was fine with it because it had given her the best gift. Her daughter, who was currently crying in her father's arms. Prue tended to be really fussy when she had just woken up but after being rocked in her dad or mom's arms, she'd calm down rather quickly.
Piper was down in the kitchen filling up three plastic bowls with cheerios. The purple bowl was for Melinda and didn't have milk, just cereal that was made for infants. The other two bowls did have milk. The blue bowl was for Wyatt and the green bowl was for Chris. Melinda was back in her high chair, Wyatt was in the living room playing, and Chris was in the bath. He distracted himself with his rubber ducky while his father washed his short brown hair. Chris enjoyed baths as did Melinda but Wyatt wasn't too fond of bathtime. Piper called her son into the kitchen and placed the blue bowl down on the table at his usual spot. She then handed Melinda the purple bowl. Melinda dug right in and shoved a handful of the cereal into her little mouth.
Coop got his happy newborn onto her changing mat and removed her onesie and dirty diaper. She got her clean up and into a fresh diaper. He dressed her in a white long-sleeved shirt with a pink zip-up sweater overtop. He completed her outfit with a pair of the tiniest jeans he had ever seen and little white socks. He picked her up gently and she looked up at him with her sparkling brown eyes. He kissed the top of her head.
Paige didn't have it so easy. She had both of her daughters on her bed attempting to dress them at the same time. Both screaming at the top of their lungs and refused to sit still. Back at the manor, Chris was just finishing up his breakfast and Melinda was splashing around in the bathtub. Over at Phoebe's, Prue had just been cuddled by her mother and placed down in her crib. Coop and Phoebe shared a kiss and then Phoebe left the apartment.
Up in the bedroom he shared with his little brother, Wyatt took care of getting himself dressed. His mom had laid out his clothes the night before. He started by taking off his Batman pajamas and underwear and orbed them into his hamper. He put on a fresh pair of underwear and then pulled his jeans on. He put on a navy-blue long-sleeved shirt and then put on his navy-blue sweater for warmth. As he zipped up his sweater all on his own, his father came in with Chris. Luckily for Leo, the toddler was in a good mood and didn't put up a fight over getting dressed. Like Wyatt, his outfit consisted of a pair of jeans, but he had a green long-sleeved shirt and a black sweater.
Once Melinda was done with her bath, Piper wrapped her up in a pink towel and carried her to the nursery where she placed her on the changing table. As usual, Melinda started crying and trying to escape as her mother got her dressed. Her outfit for the day was much like her brothers'. She had a purple long-sleeved shirt, a pair of pink jeans, and a warm white sweater.
"Phoebe what are you doing here, I told you to take some time off to spend with your daughter," Elise said when Phoebe approached her.
"I know, I'm just here to drop off this week's Colum. Don't worry I'm not staying. I already miss baby Prue."
Back at the manner, Piper was cooking super, Wyatt was on timeout for orbing Melinda to the zoo, Chris was taking a nap, and Leo was rocking Melinda in the rocking chair. A timer went off and Leo looked at Wyatt and dismissed him from the time-out chair. Wyatt brought a book to Leo, sat on his lap beside Melinda and Leo read them the book. A few minutes later, Chris who had clearly just woken up orbed into the living room holding his teddy bear.
Wyatt got off Leo's lap and joined Chris who was colouring in his colouring book. Wyatt and Chris were great friends and played together often, there wasn't much sibling rivalry between them anymore. Piper came in smiled at the boys, joined them, and Wyatt gave her some crayons so she coloured the picture with them while supper was cooking.
A later, Piper got up and went to check on the food, it was ready so Piper called in her family and served them spaghetti once they were all seated. Even Melinda was old enough to eat the spaghetti too. At one point, Melinda accidentally knocked her bowl onto the floor and when she started crying, Chris orbed the bowl and spaghetti back onto her high chair tray.
Meanwhile at Paige's Henry got back as Paige was cooking their meal. Henry kissed the twins who were playing in their big playpen and approached Paige who was flipping over the pork chops she was cooking to see if they were cooked enough yet. Henry hugged her and kissed her cheek.
"They're almost ready, you get the twins' bottles ready for me," Paige asked.
Henry nodded and pulled two bottles from the cabinet, and got the milk out from the fridge. Henry poured the milk into the bottles and then put the lids on them and put the milk and bottles in the fridge. The twins don't drink until they've eaten or else they won't eat. Paige got two plates and two baby plates from the cabinet and opened two jars of baby food for the twins.
Henry picked up the twins and placed them in their high chairs at the table as Paige came with the plates. Paige gave the twins their plates and put the other two down on the table where she and henry sat down and ate them. During the meal, both girls knocked their plates onto the floor, so Paige orbed them back onto the high chair trays, but when Tamora threw the plate on the floor, Paige took it as a hint she was no longer hungry which ok since she had eaten a lot. So Henry who was also finished took Tamora and washed her up as Paige and Kat continued eating.
Meanwhile, Coop had just sat down to enjoy some homemade shepherd's pie he had been making for the past few hours while Phoebe sat at the table and fed Prue her bottle of milk before eating her plate of shepherd's pie. By the time P.J. had finished her bottle Coop was finished eating, so he took P.J. to change her diaper while Phoebe began eating.
Back at the manner, it was bath time for the boys, while Melinda was in her playpen, Piper was in the upstairs bathroom giving Wyatt a bath. When Piper turned her back to Wyatt for a second to get the shampoo from the shelf, Wyatt had orbed his brother into the bath fully-clothes. Piper screamed and quickly removed the toddler but the damage to his clothes had already been done. "That was not funny, Wyatt."
