Everyone was sitting at the campfire still upset about the loss they had gone through. The Screaming Gophers had arrived to the campfire as well and offered some food. Courtney saw right through their act of kindness and demanded an explanation. Trent revealed that Owen had some beans for dinner and they needed to air out the cabin.
Beth offered the other team a green jelly dessert with a gummy worm inside. Courtney cringed at the offer, and when DJ saw the gummy worm; he mistook it for a snake and slapped in out of her hands.
"I'm sorry, it's just that snakes freak me out!" DJ explained.
"I feel you bro. Chickens give me the creeps." Tyler shrugged, as everyone else chuckled.
"I would totally hate it if I had to walk around a mine, in heels." Lindsey admitted
"I would probably hate having to defuse a time bomb under pressure." Cody remarked.
"Oh real sweet Cody, that would scare anyone you dork." Heather mocked.
"And what are you afraid of Miss Perfect?" Gwen stated.
"Sumo Wrestlers, easy. They way they are so big for no reason. It is just so repulsive."
"What about you Gwen, what are you afraid of?" Trent asked.
"I guess being buried alive would be bad." Gwen hesitated.
"Hail bra. Hail is just hard snow and snow is just cold." Geoff interrupted.
"What about you Courtney? I would love to hear what our fearless leader is afraid of." Duncan remarked.
"Nothing! I do not fear anything. That is what makes me a strong leader. so I am heading off to bed while you stay out here freezing." Courtney walked away.
Everyone else got caught up in telling their fears. Beth carried on how she hates real insects, while Trent admitted his fear of mimes. Katie said that she hates bad hair days, making Lindsey retract her fear to that one. Duncan came clean with his phobia of Celine Dion Standees. Harold revealed his fear of ninjas, Bridgette is scared of being in the woods alone, Owen and Izzy are afraid of flying. Raviel still did not trust everyone on the island after meeting Heather and kept to himself of his fear. The next morning, Chris greeted them with their next challenge.
"Greetings campers. We have special news for you today, its challenge time! Heather, get ready for…sumo time!" Chris pointed to Heather.
"What?!" Heather squealed.
"Tyler, we have a special treat for you; Chef!"
"Here you go Maggot!" Chef chuckled methodically, as Tyler but the head of the fried chicken and a real head emerged.
"Ah!" Tyler ran off screaming.
"Wait, how did they know your worst fears?" Lindsey pondered.
"Ugh. Cause we told them." Gwen moaned.
"At the campfire last night." Trent remembered.
"They were watching us? That's like, eavesdropping." Lindsey stated.
"It's a reality show bimbo, there always watching!" Gwen remarked.
"And now your challenge is to conquer your fears. Do so you get a point. The team with the most points wins; and go!" Chris announced.
"First up we will have Heather go against a sumo wrestler. Here comes Hong Jin, the second heavy weight champion!" Chris introduced.
"So how does she win?" Katie asked.
"All Heather has to do is last ten seconds in the ring. If she does her team wins a point, if not then good luck." Chris stated.
"You got this Heather!" Lindsey cheered, as Heather lasted her ten seconds.
"And Heather wins the Gophers their first point. Heather, you may now lea…" Heather already ran away as the time was up.
"So who goes next?" Tyler asked, as Chris gave an devilish grin.
"Oh man." Tyler noticed his mistake.
Tyler was placed inside of chicken coop. all he had to do was last ten seconds in the coop and his team would win a point. Unfortunately, he did not last a single second. Instead, he went into a fetal position in terror. Chris remarked on how pathetic it was to see and went over to give the others their fear tasks.
Gwen was place in a clear container to be buried alive in. Trent gave her a walkie so they could talk to each other. Gwen said that if she wanted to get out then Trent would have to dig her up immediately. Trent had no objections to the arrangement. Lindsey and Katie were placed in a dressing room to receive their bad haircuts. It was just beige colored wigs with splints in them, but they still looked awful to look at.
Cody was standing right in front of a bomb in the woods while Bridgette was deeper into the wooded area. Izzy and Owen were sitting in a poorly built plane as it took off. DJ backed out of hugging a snake, while Harold was confronted by ninjas while in the bathroom. Harold tried his best to fight them off with his skills. But ended up hitting himself instead, thus not getting the point for the team. Geoff was relaxing at the shore with his hat tucked over his face, just alongside where Gwen and Trent were.
"Oh man, I really want out of this so bad." Gwen panted.
"Don't worry Gwen, you got this. I'm here for you." Trent reassured.
"You won't leave me right?"
"I would never. I will be right here whenever you need me ok?"
"Ok, so tell me; why do you hate mimes so much?" Gwen tried to keep the conversation going.
"It was when I was five. My mom took me to the circus. I was really stoked that I ended up getting lost. I somehow found the backstage where are the clowns and mimes were. But it was just mimes and they would not talk or anything. They just stared with those dead eyes and useless hand movements that freaked me out. And when you try to talk to them they just… AHHHH!" Trent ranted until a mime snuck up from behind.
"Trent what's wrong?" Gwen worried.
"Leave me alone you silent weirdo." Trent said as he fled the area
"And it looks like Trent with leave Gwen as silent as a mime too. Who else will be terrified? Find out when we return!" Chris transitioned.
"It's all alright Bridge. You got this. Sure there are no people around, or a calming ocean, but you can do this. All those scary things only happen in cartoons and movies." Bridgette pep talked to herself.
"Oh come on you stupid. Ugh, how am I suppose to do this?!" Cody was frustrated, then the timer went off.
"And it looks like Cody failed his challenge." Chris stated.
"What did you put in his bomb anyway?" DJ asked.
"Just a bunch of mad and trash from Chef's cans out back." Chris answered.
"Gross!" Heather repulsed.
"I know, isn't it great?" Chris retorted.
"What was that?!" Bridgette worried.
"Ugh. Hello? Anyone there?!" Cody called out.
"Who's there? I'm warning you, I am a master black belt!" Bridgette gathered up her courage.
"Hello?! Ladies?" Cody cried out, as he approached Bridgette.
"Ah! Monster!" Bridgette ran away.
"And that means that the Killer Bass will not receive a point." Chris pointed out.
"Oh come on you worthless mime. Why do you keep following me?" Trent panted. "I got an idea." Trent dived into the water, knowing the mime could not do the same because the makeup will run.
"Point goes to the Gophers. Hey Trent, want to watch Geoff get hit by hail." Chris lowered an animated hail cloud right under Geoff as Geoff started running in fear.
"That is so wicked. Hey, could you make the cloud be in his head?" Trent asked.
"That is so crazy and sick. Yes we can do that." Chris went for it.
"Do you ever feel like you are forgetting something important?" Trent pondered.
"Not really. Watch this; I am so going to bury him in hail." Chris stated.
"Bury? Oh no Gwen." Trent realized.
"Oh thank goodness you're safe!" Trent was relieved as he dug out Gwen who long passed her five minute mark.
"YOU LEFT ME BURIED ALIVE!" Gwen screamed.
"Gwen, let me explain. You see there was this mime and…"
"You left me alone. So much for you being by my side!" Gwen cut off the conversation.
"Gwen, wait!" Trent followed.
Duncan was up next. He was nervous around the cardboard cutout of the celebrity. Courtney gave Duncan some words of encouragement, and Duncan ran over and hugged the cutout for the ten seconds to get the point. Izzy and Owen both got the points for their team. Lindsey and Katie lasted throughout their challenge too. Beth got too nervous around all the insects for her to complete the challenge. The score was now seven to three.
"We are almost done here folks. We only have two more contestants left." Chris stated.
"What me? I never told anyone my fear." Courtney rejected.
"You forget that the cameras never stop rolling so we know what scares you Courtney." Chris leaned in.
"I told you that they eavesdrop!" Lindsey stated.
"So wait, you're afraid of jelly?" Duncan shrugged.
"Not all jelly, just the green kind." Courtney defended, sort of.
"Uh, Chris. It looks like it doesn't matter. We have more points, so even if Courtney wins a point, we still win the challenge." Cody calculated.
"Ok then, how about a deal? If Courtney can dive into this pool of jelly, your score will be tripled." Chris explained.
"Now wait a minute. What about Raviel over here? He didn't do his challenge yet too?" Heather noticed.
"Ok then. Raviel will go first."
"But I never said my fear either." Raviel said, as Chris answered a phone call.
"What's that? You need to talk to a contestant on speaker phone? Ok!" Chris then played a message.
"Hi Raviel. This is Dr. John. I am calling about your sister. Unfortunately, we had to go into an emergency surgery. We do not know if she will be ok, but the cure for her is…." The phone cut off.
"How do you like that? What bad reception! How you feeling bud?" Chris snickered.
"I, I, I…" Raviel was shaking.
"Hey, are you ok?" Gwen asked.
"Hey man, it's all going to work out." Trent chimed in.
"I, can't believe that…"
"And time. You passed the challenge!" Chris announced.
"What?!" Raviel calmed himself for the moment.
"We still have your audition tape. So we already knew your fear. That message was a prerecorded one to see if you would cry. Since you didn't, your team gets two points and wins the challenge." Chris spoke with glee.
"You made me think that my sister; was seriously in surgery?!" Raviel raged.
"Okay, maybe not the best idea. But think how the ratings will be with a tear jerker like this huh?" Chris cowered.
"Chris! I told you that you should never mess with a brother's family like that!" Chef folded his arms in a 'I told you so' motion.
"Yeah man, low blow." Duncan agreed.
"You might want to run." DJ suggested.
"I will get right on that." Chris started to run away from Raviel.
At the elimination ceremony; Chris, with an eye patch and an arm cast, gave out marshmallows to everyone but Bridgette, Courtney and Tyler. They were each responsible for their team losing. When it came down to Courtney and Tyler, the tension felt like it had risen. Courtney had caused the tie breaker to begin with, while Tyler had barely tried in his part of the challenge. In the end, Tyler was the one sent packing because he has not shown any motivation to win any challenge so far.
