Damian wondered if Maria ever actually went to the movies, or to anywhere that wasn't her house.
When lunch came, he walked out of his school, being his new routine. He ate an apple from his lunch bag and continued his way to the bookstore to purchase another book.
Sadly, the antique book store he constantly visits was closed. He groaned. That was his favorite and only bookstore he ever went to. The other bookstores near his school were crowded and their prices were too high for his taste.
Ugh, what was he supposed to do now?
"Here," Robin placed a pack of cards in front of Maria. The little girl tilted her hand and waited for further instruction, confused by the item Robin offered.
"It's a game," he continued, sitting in front of the girl and began unpacking the game. "I apologize. I could not tell a story tonight. To compensate, I have brought cards to play with."
"You don't have to be sorry," Maria said, her chocolate orbs were glistening as she looked at Robin. He momentarily paused of arranging the cards to know he was listening. "I like just spending time with you," Maria smiled, sending a critical cuteness attack to the vigilante, making his heart beat faster than normal.
Robin smiled at the small blonde. He continued to arrange the cards, distributing them to each of them until they both have seven cards. Maria was confused about what to do. She wasn't familiar with this game and just awaited Robin's instruction.
Seeing Maria's confused face, he asked, "would you like me to teach you UNO?"
