Dear diary,
The concert last night… How do I even begin? It was amazing. 100% worth it to drive all the way to Cincinnati for it. How I even got the tickets I did – someone really must be looking out for me. I was so close to the stage, I know Mick and Brian looked at me. It sounds so silly to get all worked up like that. I feel like someone of my age, now, though. I offered to let Cathy come with me one last time, but she's not really into the scene I am. That's alright, I suppose. She stayed home to keep an eye on Carrie and Cory, even though they're more than old enough to take care of themselves.
We went to visit Miriam earlier this morning. I'm glad she's really settling into her home, she seemed antsy last time we visited, but now she's adjusting well. She's already made a few friends! I can't wait to bring her to our house for a day trip. She'll love the garden that we're putting together. I really have to figure out when to plant next year's tomatoes though, I'd ought to make a note of it…
In any case, Chris called this evening, just after dinner. He'll be coming home for some of the Christmas break. Just the week before and after the holiday, but that's quite alright. I've already started buying gifts and all that. We'll be putting up some of the decorations this week, I think. This year shouldn't be too bad, emotionally anyway. This might just be the first Christmas in a long time that I can breathe…
Everything will be alright. I can feel it.
Sincerely,
Camilla D.
