A/N Hey, guys. Welcome back to more of The Hawthorne Twins Season One Riverdale fanfic series. So first off, I want to check in and making sure that you guys are staying safe out there, getting vaccinated, and waiting to get your second dose. And second, I finally wrapped up my final semester because college has been such a nightmare. But anyway, this is the seventh chapter of the Hawthorne Twins series. In this seventh chapter, Luke confronts Archie about his hidden secret and Leia talks to Betty about Polly and her current whereabouts. The back to school semi formal chapter is coming soon, I promise you guys. So anyway, this is the seventh chapter, and let's get to it. I'll tell you guys whom I thought of portraying the twins and their parents later on.
I only own the twins and their parents Daniel and Natalie.
After getting accepted into the Riverdale Bulldogs football team, Luke had finally found an extracirrcular activity that suits him. The older twin changed back to his normal clothes and decided to go back to his normal day of school.
While walking to his science class, he observed Archie talking to the guys from the football team. Recalling Jughead had told him that he and Archie aren't on talking terms, Luke decided to confront the red head and find out what he is hiding.
"Hey, Archie!" Luke called as he walked over to the red head teen.
"What's up?" Archie asked the older twin.
"I need to talk to you. In secret. But not here." Luke replied.
The two childhood friends walk to a set of staircase before Luke turned and crossed his arms.
"All right, Archie. Spill it." the older twin demanded.
"What are you talking about?" asked Archie.
"Jughead told me that you guys are not on speaking terms. And he said you're having an affair with Miss Grundy. So tell me something that I don't know." Luke replied.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Luke." said Archie.
"Jughead said you and your music teacher had an affair in the summer. Do you mind telling me about that?" said Luke.
"You want to know?" asked Archie.
Luke raised his eyebrows and nodded, wanting to know some answers. Archie was about to regret of what he was going to tell Luke.
"It was summer time. On July 3rd, I was in a secret relationship with Miss Grundy. I texted her and said I had found a tent for our 4th of July getaway." Archie explained.
The older twin nodded, before Archie continued.
"Then on the 4th of July, we both heard gunfire at the Sweetwater River." Archie finished.
"Okay, then. That's all I needed. Although I will give you two choices. You can either go to Mr. Weatherbee and come clean about what happened on the 4th of July or continue hiding this little secret before everybody else knows." said Luke.
Luke walked away, leaving the red headed teenager speechless. The older twin hated himself for giving Archie two choices, but he would never thought that his childhood best friend would hide a secret like this for a couple of months.
Meanwhile with Leia, after wrapping up her cheerleading tryouts and joining the River Vixens with Betty and Veronica, the younger twin decided to talk to Betty and ask her about her older sister Polly.
"Hey, Betty. May I ask you a question?" asked Leia.
"Yeah, sure. Go ahead." Betty replied.
"Who's Polly?" asked Leia.
This made the blonde head teeanger pause, wondering how Leia knows about Polly.
"How do you know about my older sister?" asked Betty.
"My brother and I saw the portraits of Jason and Polly during Cheryl's speech." Leia replied.
Betty hesitated, whether if she should tell her friend about Polly or not. Taking a dep breath, the blonde head finally decides to tell Leia about Polly.
"Polly is my older sister. And we both have a good sister relationship." Betty started.
The younger twin nodded in understanding, before she allowed Betty to continue.
"When my mom found that Polly started dating Jason, my mom flipped out and she sent Polly to live in a place called the Sisters of Quiet Mercy." said Betty.
Leia stared in disbelief, wondering how and why Betty's mother had acted so cruel to Polly.
"Have you kept in touch with Polly since then?" asked Leia.
"I haven't been able to keep in touch with my sister since she got sent to live at the Sisters of Quiet Mercy. And my mom forbidded me to say her name during our family gathering." Betty replied.
"I see. But thanks for the honest answer, Betty. Now I know why my brother and I never met or knew Jason and Polly personally." said Leia, accepting her friend's honesty.
"I have to get to class. It was good talking to you, Leia." said Betty.
"You too, Betty. I guess I'll see you at the back to semi formal then." said Leia as she walked away to meet with her older twin.
While walking down the hallway to her biology class, Leia bumps into her twin brother.
"Hey, how did your conversation go with Archie?" she asked.
"Well, he finally told me the honest truth about what happened in the summer. What about you? How did it go with Betty?" he replied.
"It turned out that Betty's mother had flipped out on Polly after she found out that Polly was dating Jason before his disappearance." she said.
"What do you mean by that?" asked Luke.
"What I mean is, after Betty's mother found out that Polly dated Jason, her mother had sent Polly to live in a place called the Sisters of Quiet Mercy." Leia replied.
"Well, that's just unfair. I can't believe Betty's mother would send Polly to live at the Sisters of Quiet Mercy." he said.
"Looks like we're gonna have to talk to mom and dad about Polly's situation." she said.
"But don't we have to ask them about why Betty's mother has a hatred towards the Blossom family since we haven't been around a long time?" he asked.
"We will have to ask mom and dad about it eventually. They were close friends with the other parents before we were born." she replied.
"Okay then. We will talk to mom and dad when we get home after school." he agreed.
And that will be the end of the seventh chapter for now. So what do you guys think of the chapter so far? The twins are now aware that Polly's been sent to live at the Sisters of Quiet Mercy and learning about Archie's hidden secret. Will Archie come clean and confess about his hidden secret? You guys will have to find out soon. In the next chapter, Daniel and Natalie reunite with the parents and they find out why Alice has a hatred towards the Blossom family. But will the reunion will go right or will it go wrong? The back to school semi formal and the discovery of Jason Blossom's dead body chapters will be on its way soon. If you guys are wondering how I'm describing the apperances of Luke and Leia, I would see them being portrayed by Noah Centineo and Emma Fuhrmann. If you guys don't like how I'm describing their appearances, I can change it. So yeah, that's pretty much it. Eighth chapter is coming up soon, so keep an eye out for that.
