Chapter 5

The Battle of Otsuka

"Your Bo-Staff technique needs work. Did you ever consider a Naginata?" Dracorrin told Asura.

"...no. That's a good idea. Thanks, Dracorrin."

"What did you think of Asu and my combo attack?" Indra asked, being rather impulsive, unlike his namesake.

"Impressive. You used your mastery over yin with Asura's yang to create a beam of energy. It took me by surprise."

"Yeah. But one thing, Dracorrin. How did you manifest that huge chakra construct?" Asura wanted to know.

"Now that would be telling, Asu. Inda, did you ever consider getting a weapon. Your fists are not the only answer."

"Yeah. Actually, Dracorrin, I was thinking of getting a sword."

"Excellent! I will help you. Of course, you may have to come to Kage to practice."

Just then, a loud bang was heard, and alarms went off.

"What the-"

"Lord Otsukage!" An Otsutsuki ninja appeared.

"Speak, chunin."

"Invaders! They wield ice, and explosions similar to that of the legendary Deidara!"

"Asura, they're here! Chunin, get your forces ready. Those ninja are high A-Rank threat, top priority. Asura, Indra, gather Otsu's best and fortify the mansion. I will gather the First and Third Battalions for battle." Dracorrin said, his battle instincts coming in. He disappeared in a blue flash of lightning.

"Captain!" Dracorrin called after appearing.

Captain Taro shunshinned in front of him.

"Lord Kage?"

"Assemble the First and Third Battalions, and mobilize the Behemoth. The Warriors of Ice found us, along with the Hidden Explosion Village's ninja."

"Sir, with all due respect, are you certain to use the Behemoth?"

"Yes, now get a move on, soldier!"

"Yes sir!"

Asura and Indra did as told, and were fighting off the invading forces that made it to the mansion, which was currently most of them.

"Damnit Dracorrin," Asura said while he plunged his bo staff into a ninja's abdomen, "Where the hell is our backup?"

"Asura!" Indra called out after he shattered an ice ninja's face. "We need to get Dracorrin out here!"

"Ngh, he's working on it!"

"Regroup then!"

Asura and Indra slowly started working their way towards each other. As they met up in the middle, they turned their backs to each other and started pummeling the enemy.

"Combination Technique, Indra!"

"On it!" The two were doing multiple handseals before Indra shouted, "Water Style: Liquid Methane!"

Asura finished his, then shouted, "Fire Style: Giant Lamplighter Jutsu!" A large, yet quite concentrated flame popped out of Asura's mouth. The flame itself resembled what may come out of a lighter. The fire touched the water, and the two yelled,

"Combination Technique: Burning Water!" The water on fire burnt hundreds of explosion shinobi alive, but most of the ice shinobi made 3 handseals before shouting "Ice Style: Ice Dome of Protection!" The ice domes reflected the water, but melt in the process. They pressed the attack. Asura was separated from Indra, and saw an ice shinobi with a large cleaver sneak up behind him.

"Indra!"

"BOOM" A giant rock landed on the ice shinobi, killing him before he could hurt Indra. Dracorrin appeared, full battle armor equipped, with hundreds of soldiers fighting the ninja.

"Your reinforcements are here, Asura." Dracorrin said, while an ice dragon crashed into him. Dracorrin didn't flinch.

"Dracorrin! You came at the nick of time." Asura said, having a small moment of respite.

"It's the Dragon of Death!"

"Run for your lives!" Multiple chunin ice ninja shouted. One ice ANBU stood fast.

"Cowards! We can slay their general right now!" A scratch appeared on the man's arm before he keeled over dead, oozing black blood from his mouth.

"Any other challengers?" Dracorrin said, brandishing Onyx Fang. The rest of the ninja fled, but the few remaining explosion ninja jumped at Dracorrin. Indra went to intercept one until the ninja made a hand sign. Dracorrin felt the pulse.

"Indra! Get awa-"

"KABOOM!" The body of Indra flew out of the giant explosion. Dracorrin emerged looking like a bipedal dragon, scaled wings having covered him. He changed back quickly, and teleported in front of Indra, catching him.

Indra was in bad shape. One of his arms was a red stump, he was missing his right eye, and his left leg was cleanly snapped in half, the cracked end of the femur sticking out. What wasn't missing was covered in blood. His shirt gone, his skin burnt off, showing the red chest muscles. He had a hole in his stomach, among other grave injuries.

"Indra!" Asura said crying, "Don't go. Please, you and father are all I have left."

"...*cough cough*...*hack*...Asura..." Indra managed to cough out his brother's name. "...you...are th-*hack!*"More blood spewed out of Indra's mouth. "the light...keep...my son, Indoku...safe. Give hi-*cough cough*" more blood, his voice got wheezier and quiet, "my...eye. He will...need it. teach...him...life..." Indra looked to Dracorrin.

"Indra?"

"...look...after...f-f-f..." he stuttered, Dracorin activated his Jougan, seeing the pool of blood in Indra's lungs.

"f-fa...ther..." Silence. Dead silence. Indra was gone. Asura was crying. Dracorrin followed suit.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Asura was enraged.

"They will PAY!" Asura started to run, but Dracorrin held him back.

"NO! Let go of ME! Let me desTROY THEM!" Asura screamed out. Dracorrin slapped him on the face. It left a mark of blood. Indra's blood.

"Get a grip, Asura! Killing won't bring back someone. Believe me, I know." Dracorrin said. "Neo Akatsuki killed my mother. I tracked them down, and slaughtered every single one. They begged for mercy, but I was fueled by my rage. One said, 'Please, show mercy! We were wrong!' I told him, 'You were, and this is the price of reckless murder.'" Dracorrin hesitated.

"I did unspeakable things that day. I unlocked the Blazing Jougan because of it." Asura calmed down.

"Indoku."

"What?"

"Where's Indoku?"

Damn with a capital WOW. Heavy chapter. Yup, we just met Indra but he's gone now. Neo Akatsuki was an idea I had for something akin to Boruto's Kara orginization. Neo means new, so new Akatsuki. Made sense, but it didn't work out. I decided to put it into Dracorrin's backstory. And what's Blazing Jougan? I'll explain. Blazing Jougan is another idea I had for a Mangekyou Jougan without calling it Mangekyou Jougan. It is the regular Jougan look, but there is white fire giving the Jougan a look of being 'ablaze'. It has the abilities of Mangekyou, INCLUDING Susanoo. Yes, this makes Dracorrin super OP but that is the premise of the story. His clan is the OP of the OP. It does degrade the users eyesight still, so Dracorrin favors normal Jougan. He believes himself strong enough to not need it. Keep in mind he is not arrogant, just confident in his abilities. He knows his own strength. Sasuke, however, wanted all power for all time, so he spammed the heck out of Mangekyou. Dracorrin just wants to keep his eyes. And why is Indra's eye important? THAT is for next time. Bye.
