Klaus is on the phone with Vincent while Elena is staring at herself in the mirror, the same knife in her hand with which she killed, a few drops of blood of the witch she killed were on her face. She was in shock because she was sure she moved ahead to pick Hope up in arms before that witch could reach her. She didn't even know she had a knife hidden in her dress. Still in shock she starts to strip in front of the mirror.

Klaus who was too busy talking to Vincent turns to her just in that moment when she has unzipped her dress and he's still for a moment staring at her, but soon he realizes that Elena is close to discovering one of his hidden compulsions so he vamps to her and puts s hand on her back holding both sides if the dress preventing it from falling down. The cold touch of Klaus on her bare back brings her to senses she realizes she was about to strip without realizing he is here in the room.

She looks at him through the mirror and he understands what she means to say, he holds the dress together on her back and then zips her up. They both stare at each other through the mirror. When he is done zipping her up Elena tells him, "Never thought of you to be a gentleman"

Klaus gives her a smile, "There are many things you never thought of me to be sweetheart"

"Well, but you know I'll have to change right, these clothes are messy so if you don't…"

He doesn't let her finish, "I do mind sweetheart, my house was recently attacked and there is a very good chance that the threat is not over yet, so I suggest you stay in this messy dress for a little while longer."

Elena turns around to face him, and Klaus could tell by the look on her face that she was curious about something and she was as she asked, "Why did those witches come after Hope, I mean she is just a child who has barely learnt how to walk and they fell so low as to harm her, I don't understand why?"

Klaus shrugs then tells her, "When Hayley was pregnant a witch Celeste made a prophecy that Hope Mikaelson will bring death to all witches."

"That's insane" Elena says, "Witches are not Gods and to me this prophecy seems to be nothing more than a way to spread hatred for that child in the world."

"You are right sweetheart, that witch did want revenge on me for something. But you don't have to worry about all this, I have called Vincent, he will put a similar spell in this house as he did in that hotel suite."

He sees how her expression has changed and before he could say anything she says, "Are you planning to lock her from one home to another, and is that how you want her to grow?"

He smiles and tells her, "I am glad that you asked sweetheart, I'll keep doing it until I know she is safe and I have eliminated all my enemies."

"Klaus, you have a thousand years of enemies."

"Most of whom I have already killed, and thanks to Vincent the link to the ancestral world is severed so no more dead witches will come back to attack me again"

"Klaus, how did you get Vincent to cast that spell in that suite, Brooklyn to New Orleans is a twenty hours' drive?"

"Well, I'd say that Vincent didn't cast the spell on his own, and not that time at all, a few years back when he was in Brooklyn for some work his friend's child was in trouble because people wanted to kill him to get his property so Vincent cast a spell those many years ago that any child up to the age of eighteen cannot be harmed in that suite. And while I was struggling to get Hope to safety Vincent told me about that place, that's the reason I was in Brooklyn in the first place, Lucien attacked me before I could reach that place and then you showed up and with your cunningness mixed with mine, I killed Lucien."

She nods and turns to leave but stops to ask one more thing, "Klaus, are you compelling me for something I don't know about."

"No sweetheart, absolutely not, just know all my compulsions on you are for my daughter's well-being." He smiles.

After she enters the bathroom to clear the blood off her face Klaus gets thinking, "I'll have to be more subtle about my compulsions in the future; Elena was close to discovering that I am making her a personal weapon for Hope. She doesn't know how much I have compelled her or what I have compelled her to do."

Later that evening when Vincent arrives he questions Elena, "How did you kill that witch like a professional killer, Klaus told me all it took was a swift attack of a knife, that requires a lot of practice."

Both Klaus and Elena answer at a time,

Klaus, "She is a trained hunter"

Elena, "Ric trained me to hunt vampires."

Klaus thinks "Yeah Ric, move on girl, I am the one who trains you daily two hours, although I have compelled you not to remember it and just that in the time of need you will work it out yourself, Ric's training wouldn't have gotten you half way to what I have got you in this less time."

After Vincent casts the spell, Klaus tells him that they made a graffiti in Hope's room and he has no idea what does it mean, is it a symbol of different group of witches or a warning sign, or a war sign. Vincent asks to see the sign and Klaus takes him to Hope's room.

Elena is walking with Hope in the garden when she hears noises, she decides to go inside but Klaus strictly told her that he doesn't want Hope inside the house while he and Vincent deal with that graffiti, it could be anything, a totem to harm his child too, so she stays out. Her curiosity is soon answered when both Vincent and Klaus walk out of the house bickering about the same graffiti.

Vincent, "Man, you have no idea what that thing is, that's the darkest of magic I have ever touched and I am not going to deal with it again."

Klaus, "Fine, then tell me what you know about that sign and I'll find someone who won't chicken down seeing a drawing."

Vincent, "I am not a coward but this is dangerous ground, I will find out about this symbol then tell you what it all means, but for that I want time, I have spelled the house and no one not any creature can harm your daughter in here."

Klaus, "And what about the missing toy, you told me that Witches use these things as talisman so what do I do about that."

Vincent, "I have severed Hope's link from all of her toys, they would be hers after she plays with them and for now she is safe from anything outside this house and from any toy that could be used as a talisman. Now I am leaving, I have seen this sign before and this is bad news."

Vincent stares at Elena for some time and then turns to Klaus, "She is the Petrova doppelganger" Vincent is bewildered that how he didn't notice this at first.

Well, this news was really very boring for her and Klaus both, so Elena takes Hope and walks to the other side of the lawn because she doesn't want to hear the same Petrova crap again.

Klaus says with a bored expression, "Yes, she is Vincent; she is the last of her line, the last remaining Petrova doppelganger, what's new in this."

Vincent, "The new thing is that I don't have to go anywhere for research, the Petrova doppelgangers have been around for two thousand years…"

Klaus interrupts, "Yeah, and Elena has been around for hardly twenty years in which she has died thrice."

Vincent, "That's not what I mean, what I mean is that they are called doppelgangers for a reason, they may be their own person but one can talk to any of the dead doppelgangers by using the right spell on a living one and if I do that, then I might know more about this without getting involved in dark magic."

Klaus, "You'll have to ask Elena first for this"

Vincent, "Klaus what I want to do is nothing harmful, it's just a spell to make contact to the dead, just that after I am done, Elena will feel immense headache, that is the only thing she'll have to take care of."

"I am in", both men turn to look at Elena, she's standing crossed arms looking at both men and the baby girl is standing down playing with her dress.

Klaus smiles then tells Vincent, "The spell will happen tomorrow, after eight."

Vincent, "Why tomorrow, why not today?"

Klaus, "Well, you see Vincent, I know such spells require preparations so tell me what you need for the spell, I think, I'll have to take my time arranging for the spell."

Vincent tells him, "Klaus, the spell requires Elena to lay down in cold water, wearing only cotton clothes, no jewelry, no metal, no clips, no plastic nothing."

Elena feels uneasy listening to this part, because the only cotton cloth that has to cover her entire self is a nighty, she has cotton shirts, but they have buttons, she has cotton PJs but those have elastic, she has cotton undergarments but the bra has hooks, her mind cannot think of anything straight. How she will lay down in a cotton nighty, only nighty, no undergarments, and two men staring at her, talking to her, no, no, no, her mind is screaming.

Klaus notices her uneasiness, he reads through her expression and realizes why she is uneasy, he knows it because he is the one who brought her clothes says, "The spell will happen in the night, in my backyard, I will arrange for water there."

Klaus tells this because in the darkness of night no one will be able to look at her or eye her, although he can buy her any number of new clothes but he knows that there is no such bra made for woman which doesn't has metal or plastic hooks in it, thinking of sports bra, it has elastic and the problem would be same, at least during night time no one will be able to eye her form, if that's what she is worried about.

Vincent says, "Perfect, but there is something more I want you to know, while I start the spell I will enter her mind and that time she might get uneasy, my eyes will be closed and I won't be able to see anything, so your job is to hold her hands and make sure she doesn't come out of water or drown herself."

Elena asks, "Why would I get out of water, I signed for it myself."

Vincent, "Not you, when I'll enter your mind, it won't be pleasant for you, sometimes you will feel like another doppelganger is trying to takeover you and you will repel them and while doing so you might accidentally harm yourself or you might come out of water breaking the spell, the spirits of the doppelgangers are very dangerous when called upon to talk to, all the time I will be in there, you will be in hell Elena."

Elena simply nods, she has nothing to say, what can she say, she stepped forward thinking the well and good of Hope and although Klaus has made it easier for her by doing the ritual in the night sky, yet Klaus' eyes will still be on her, her wet form. Yes she is not going to back down from this but she is highly insecure about how Klaus will behave with her later. Will he start eyeing her badly, will he develop sexual desire for her, all these questions ,make her uneasy, what will happen after Klaus eyes her nakedness in case the nighty lifts up due to water. All these thoughts haunt her and she doesn't know what to do.
