Guarded. Uchiha Itachi was a very guarded man. Sakura knew that as a child when she would go to the Uchiha manor to hangout with her best friend, Sasuke. She learned it even more when she entered Anbu and he was her Captain. Behind those guarded eyes of his there was something else. She just couldn't figure it out. He was a very guarded man. One day though he lost his guard. He started to do that around her. It started slowly, but then it became more frequent until he was no longer guarded around her. She didn't know how or when it happened, but she slowly fell in love with him and he her. He was no longer guarded and that was his downfall.
Sakura was taken hostage by Orochimaru. Orochimaru had his eyes on the eldest Uchiha for quite sometime. He realized that Uchiha Itachi was in love with Haruno Sakura and the baby that Sakura was carrying. Uchiha Itachi would do whatever it took to protect his family. Even sacrificing his body to the snake king.
"You should of stayed guarded Itachi." Orochimaru said before taking over one Uchiha Itachi's body.
Goddess. She was a goddess, shining bright as the sun. Her beautiful emerald eyes and bubble gum hair shining, calling to him. She was draped in a kimono the colour of her eyes. Uchiha Sakura. The woman he loved but belonged to his brother, Uchiha Itachi. Sasuke regretted a lot of things in his twenty-four years of life. The thing he regretted the most was how he treated Sakura all those years ago. If he treated her like the goddess she is, and actually acknowledged her maybe she wouldn't have ended up with his brother.
Sasuke thought she was annoying, and clingy. He even told her. The very last time he had said it to her he had seen her face shatter. She ran off. He wished he had never said what he did that day. He was so in love with her, he just didn't want to admit to her. Heck he couldn't even admit it to himself. She started training under Tsunade, started going on Anbu missions with his brother. By the time Sasuke realized Itachi and Sakura were in love with one another. It was to late.
Watching from his spot in a true Sasuke watched as Itachi brought his hand up to cup Sakura's face, his forehead leaned against Sakura's.
"You're such a goddess Sakura." Itachi said before he brought his lips to his pink haired wife's.
