Olivia woke up a little while later with the sun peaking through Alex's bedroom curtains, stretching until she reached over to find Alex only to come up empty. The bed having cold sheets means Alex hadn't been in bed for a while. Olivia's face scrunched up in confusion and sat up pulling the sheet with her to keep herself covered. Olivia yawned and took a look around the room to see her clothes were still thrown all around the room and so were Alex's. She then saw a dresser drawer still half open and got up to close it. She put her clothes she had on the night before when she noticed a note on Alex's side of the bed. Olivia picked up the legal pad and read it. The note was obviously written in Alex's scrawl.

"Liv,

I'm so sorry I had to leave for work, I'll be back as soon as I can. If you're gone before I return, lock the door behind you, key is on the counter.

Alex "

Olivia huffed and rolled her eyes. She sat back on the bed with the note in her hand, shaking her head and grabbing her for her phone. Olivia noticed that there were a few notifications but decided they could wait until she made her phone call first. Dialing Alex number she waited for the line to connect and ring through after about three rings before the voicemail picked up the call.

"You've reached Alex Cabot please leave your name and number and I'll return your call at my earliest convenience" beep.

"Hey Alex, it's Liv I don't know what kind of case you're working on but please be safe and call me back" Olivia said to the voicemail and hung up.

Olivia semi cleaned up the mess they made of Alex's apartment the night before. Once the place looked presentable Olivia sat on the couch and looked at her notifications. One was from Amanda letting her know Noah was fine and they were having breakfast and to let her know when she was on the way to come get him. Olivia smiled at that and responded telling her she would be there shortly. Another was from Carisi asking about paperwork for an upcoming case, but nothing that couldn't wait until the work week. One was from Noah, That was just a cute picture of him and Jessie. She stood up to grab the key on the counter and went to leave, after she locked up the apartment she put the key on her key ring for safe keeping. On the way to Amanda's to pick up Noah she wondered why Alex didn't wake her up, granted there had been many times in the past Olivia did the same to her when she had to leave in the middle of the night for a case.

Arriving at Amanda's she knocked on the door and waited for it to open. When it did it wasn't the blonde that answered but Carisi instead. Olivia raised her eyebrow at him in question.

"Amanda said you were on your way to come get noah, she's just getting ready" Carisi said in response.

"Are you going somewhere?" Olivia asked.

"She got called in for a case, I'm just going to watch the munchkins for her" Carisi chuckled

"Ah, well tell her thank you for me and we will be on our way - Noah!" Olivia yelled

Noah and Jessie came running out to her. Noah hugged her with a big smile.

"Mom!" Noah said

"Ready to go?" Olivia asked, smiling down at him.

"Yes, can we go to the park?" Noah asked excitedly.

"Why don't you say goodbye to Jessie and uncle Sonny, and then I don't see why not" Olivia replied.

Waving goodbye to them , they were out the door and on the way to the park.

Amanda walked out her room attaching her shield to her belt.

"Liv and Noah leave?" Amanda asked

"Yea, when are you and Fin going to tell her about this case you guys got called about?" Carisi asked

"I'm heading up to the hospital now, Fin is already there. Fin said not to call her unless we need to" Amanda shrugged.

"You don't think she needs to know her ex colleague is in the hospital?" Carisi scoffed in disbelief.

"Alex isn't the one hospitalized, she called Fin about a DV case. That's all we are doing is investigating" Amanda snapped back in annoyance.

"I don't trust her, the last time we worked with her a victim was killed because she didn't go through the law" Carisi shook his head pointing his finger at Amanda.

"Look, all I know right now is what Fin told me on the phone, Alex showed up at the scene and the police were already there. The woman was being transported to the hospital and the man was in cuffs." Amanda said.

"Keep me updated will you?" Carisi spoke softer

"Of course, and hey thanks for watching the girls" Amanda responded.

She said goodbye to her girls and left for the hospital.
