AN: Hope everyone had a nice Easter (if you celebrate it, otherwise I hope you had a nice weekend) :)

I've had the most manic day and it's not even 12pm! I almost forgot to post.

It's quite a choppy chapter but I kinda like it.

Read and review :)

Chapter 7

A loud cackle pulls my attention to the other side of the room.

I turn to find Quinn laughing out loud to something Mercedes just said and I can't help but smile at the joy on my girlfriend's face. When I first came to McKinley, she would just sit in the corner of the room with Finn, something tells me that he was holding her back from socialising, almost as if he knew she wasn't straight and didn't want her straying.

I turn to the boy now and see him sat with his mother but his attention was also on Quinn.

"Rachel?"

"Hmm?" I jump, turning back to Kurt.

"Were you even listening to me?" He asks.

"Um, no sorry." I glance over my shoulder again to find Carol sat alone, I scan the room for Finn but can't spot him, I also can't locate Quinn and start to panic. "I'll be right back, congratulations again."

I smile briefly at Burt, who was standing next to his son before wandering over to Mercedes to ask where Quinn went.

"She and Finn went for a walk outside." The diva explains and I jog off before I can even thank her.

I exit the building as swiftly as possible and as I walk alongside it, I hear a loud slap round the corner. I speed up slightly, just in time to see a red faced Quinn, stepping further away from Finn, who has a hand pressed up against his cheek.

"What the hell?"

"You deserved that Finn, in fact I've been wanting to do that for a while." Quinn spits. "I can't believe you'd try something like that. When you said you wanted to talk I thought you were actually going to talk, not kiss me."

I take a step back, shocked that he'd led her away from me just to kiss her.

He opens his mouth to respond but Quinn isn't finished.

"No, you don't get to explain yourself, you had your chance to do that when you brought me out here. Or during the past however many weeks since we broke up. I don't know how many times I have to tell you that I don't want you, and you think a kiss will change my mind? How pathetic are you?"

Again he opens his mouth.

"It was rhetorical Finn." The blonde yells, rolling her eyes at his stupidity. "You don't get to do that okay? You don't get to go around kissing people who are in love."

"In… what?"

Quinn looks up at the Quarterback but it wasn't him who spoke. She spins round and her gaze lands on me.

"Rachel." She whispers. "How long… when… how long have you been there?"

"Since you slapped him." I respond, unable to tear my eyes away from the hazel ones staring right back at me. "You're… you said… Do you mean it?"

"I was rage ranting, I…" She pauses and I'm worried she's going to take it back but then she's moving towards me and suddenly her lips are on mine.

I pull away, my breath taken by the passion in the kiss and rest my forehead on hers.

"I meant it." She admits quietly. "I don't care if it's too soon, I love you Rachel."

I feel the tears well up in my eyes. "I love you too."

Our moment is soon interrupted by a loud noise behind Quinn.

"FUCK!" Finn exclaims, holding onto his bleeding hand and it soon becomes obvious that he punched the wall in his frustration at the scene in front of him.

"You really are an idiot Hudson." Quinn comments as I walk over to the boy.

He immediately takes steps backwards protecting his hand from me.

"My dad's a doctor Finn, just let me look at it."

He hesitantly lets me look at the injury.

"Yeah that's definitely broken." I wince, before pulling off my cardigan and fashioning it into a bandage around his hand. "You'll need to go to the hospital obviously but that should hold for a little while until you get there.

"Thanks." He mumbles before walking away without looking at either of us.

"Ready to go back in?" I ask Quinn as soon as Finn has disappeared.

"Almost." She smirks, closing the gap between us and firmly gripping my hips to pull me closer. "Hey new girl."

"Hey you." I respond, biting my lip as I look up at her. "You know, my dads said they're going to some wine tasting party tonight and won't be home till… way late, the sooner we leave, the sooner we can be alone."

"Hmm, as tempting as that sounds and we will definitely leave sooner than planned, I just wanna stay for one more song." She smiles cryptically.

"Why's that?" I ask.

"Come inside and you'll find out."

Quinn holds my eye contact for a few seconds before winking and pulling out of our embrace. She then walks away, leaving me to follow cluelessly.

Once I get inside I can't find the blonde until I see her walk up onto the makeshift stage so I weave through the crowd to get to the dance floor.

As soon as the music starts Quinn gazes into my eyes and I don't dare look away as her beautiful voice fills the room and couples start gathering around me.

"Your hand fits in mine like it's made just for me,
But bear this in mind it was meant to be.
And I'm joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks,
And it all makes sense to me.
I know you've never loved the crinkles by your eyes,
When you smile, you've never loved your stomach or your thighs.
The dimples in your back at the bottom of your spine,

But I'll love them endlessly.

"I won't let these little things slip out of my mouth,
But if I do, it's you, oh it's you, they add up to,
I'm in love with you and all these little things.

"You can't go to bed without a cup of tea,
Maybe that's the reason that you talk in your sleep.
And all those conversations are the secrets that I keep,
Though it makes no sense to me.
I know you've never loved the sound of your voice on tape,

You never want to know how much you weigh.
You still have to squeeze into your jeans,
But you're perfect to me.

"I won't let these little things slip out of my mouth,
But if it's true, it's you, it's you, they add up to,
I'm in love with you and all these little things.

"You never love yourself half as much as I love you,
You'll never treat yourself right darling but I want you to.
If I let you know, I'm here for you,
Maybe you'll love yourself like I love you, oh.

"And I've just let these little things slip out of my mouth,
'Cause it's you, oh it's you, it's you they add up to,
And I'm in love with you and all these little things.
I won't let these little things slip out of my mouth,
But if it's true, it's you, it's you they add up to,
I'm in love with you, and all your little things."

After a very close Sectionals, where both The Warblers and The New Directions got through to Regionals, it was finally Christmas break and I couldn't wait to spend it with Quinn. I was excited to show her that although I'm technically Jewish, we still celebrated both Hanukkah and Christmas as Pop is Catholic, like Quinn's parents.

I'm sat on my bed when Quinn emerges from the bathroom.

"So, what's on the agenda for today?" She asks, smiling.

"The Christmas market in Columbus."

"Ooh, sounds fun."

I smile up at her and she leans down to peck me on the lips gently. As she pulls away I reach up and pull her back down until our lips meet again and she smiles into the kiss.

"Needy." She teases.

"No, just in love." I grin.

"So are your dads coming with us?"

"Yeah, we go to one every year in whichever city is nearest but this year I'm looking forward to it so much more because I get to go with my amazing girlfriend and hopefully find some mistletoe." I smirk.

"Is that so? Well you'd better get dressed because I'm sure your girlfriend is also excited and wants to leave as soon as possible." Quinn laughs.

I jump off the bed and rush into the bathroom, leaving behind a laughing Quinn.

After a long car ride, my dads, Quinn and I were glad to get out of the car and stretch our legs. Unfortunately, watching Quinn stretch had more of an effect on me than I thought it would. I gulp as my eyes roam her long body being contorted into the sexiest positions.

"Rach?" She laughs and my eyes snap up to meet hers as I feel a blush spread across my cheeks.

"Sorry, you're just, extremely flexible."

Her eyes instantly darken. "Come on." She says, holding out her hand for me to take. "Let's go find that mistletoe."

Smirking, I take her hand and let her lead me into the market after waving a quick goodbye to my dads.

"Meet us at the entrance at 1 so we can grab some lunch together." Dad shouts after us and I wave my free hand over my head in acknowledgement.

I watch in wonder as Quinn leads me around the stalls, her face lit up with excitement.

"So I take it you've never been here before?" I laugh.

"No." The blonde responds, looking over her shoulder at me. "We may be Catholic but other than Christmas day itself we never really do anything festive."

"Well I'm happy that I get to share this experience with you then."

"Me too new girl." She smiles.

After a glorious few minutes under the mistletoe we begrudgingly make our way back to the entrance to meet with my dads.

As we sit down at one of the café tables, Dad asks us how our morning was and we just blush in response.

"Okay… changing the subject, what do you want for lunch Quinn?"

The girl just turns her head to me with a pleading look in her eyes.

"Yes, you can have bacon." I laugh. "You're lucky we already found the mistletoe otherwise you may not be so lucky."

Quinn grins in response. "I'll have the bacon sandwich then, please. Though I'm more than happy to buy it myself."

"That's not necessary Quinn, it's our treat."

"Thank you." She smiles politely.

Finally, Christmas day had arrived and I could tell that Quinn was buzzing with excitement and I was happy that she wasn't sad that she couldn't spend the day with her mom.

"Can I give you your present before we go downstairs?" She asks with an expression that I just couldn't say no to.

"Of course baby."

She pulls a small box out from her drawer in my room and hands it to me.

I unwrap it carefully and lift the lid of the box to reveal a gold chain with a star pendant.

"Quinn, it's beautiful."

"It's engraved."

I turn over the star to reveal the words 'I love you' inscribed on the back.

"I love you too baby." I smile, leaning forward to kiss her softly.

"I actually ordered that before the wedding, that's how I was planning on telling you before Finn got involved."

"That's adorable." I smile. "Do you want your present now too?"

"Okay." She grins, the excitement returning.

I move to my side of the bed to retrieve her present before standing in front of her again.

As she takes the gift from me I hold my breath and watch her open it.

She removes the wrapping paper to reveal a first edition copy of Alice in Wonderland.

Her face is void of all emotion so I instantly panic.

"If you don't like it we can return it and I'll get something else…"

"No baby I love it, and you. How did you know I loved this book?"

"I saw another edition in your bedroom when we were packing and it looked like it had been read over a hundred times, so I figured you must love it."

"It was always my favourite book growing up, I'd always wish I could join Alice on her adventures and discover new worlds. I'm honestly so jealous of all the travelling you've done Rach, it's always been a dream of mine."

"Well one day, we can go travelling together." I smile before accepting the kiss she tilts her head down to give me.

For the first time in my 17 years of life, I finally prefer Christmas to Hanukkah.

"You know…" I start, rolling onto my side to face Quinn, who's lying next to me in my bed. "Although we've done… stuff, I find it slightly disconcerting that we haven't actually seen each other naked, like fully naked. We've even said we love each other."

"Is that you're way of saying you want me to strip?"

"Well… in a sense yes, but I was only bringing it up so we could discuss it."

"We don't need to talk about it babe." She winks, sitting up. "Our relationship is fine, perfect even. So, I'm going to take a shower, if you're that fussed with seeing me naked maybe you'll join me."

I sit, stunned until I hear the water running in the shower and I jump up before heading towards the door to my ensuite, which Quinn has left unlocked.

I push open the door and gasp at the sight of Quinn's naked form through the frosted glass, I couldn't make out any details but even the outline of her looked hot.

Undressing quickly, I walk towards the shower, slightly nervous until I reach forward and open the shower door and am greeted by the shining hazel eyes of my girlfriend.

I step into the shower before letting my eyes roam over her dripping wet body, my gaze following the water running over her curves all the way down to her pink toenails.

I feel her hand on my hip and look back up into her eyes.

"You're stunning new girl."

"Not so bad yourself Fabray." I tease before pulling her head down for a kiss.

"Babe, I need to talk to you about something."

I turn to face a very worried looking Quinn and pull her into the nearest classroom before waiting for her to talk.

"So you know how Sue was planning to shoot Britt out of a canon?"

I nod, not daring to interrupt her.

"Well she just cornered us in the bathroom and is basically making us choose between cheerleading and glee. I don't know what to do, I know who I am out of this uniform and I'm not sure I'm ready for her to make another appearance, I mean I literally rated all of the people in the glee club by looks."

I wince slightly at her confession but let her continue.

"But at the same time, I love glee and I get to see you and hear you sing. There's also the fact that I don't really want Britt to die." She chuckles.

"You just need to think about which makes you happier, but first I want you to come to glee because I've planned something to sing to you and it may be my last opportunity."

Quinn nods so I lead her out of the classroom and towards the choir room.

"Trust me Rach, you can sing to me whenever you want."

After Mr Schuester has explained that the football team is joining us for the week so they can learn how to be more of a team before their Championship game, Puck and I get up to sing.

As we sing 'Need You Now' my eyes never leave Quinn's and I can tell she's still trying to make up her mind so while Puck is singing I blow her a kiss and mouth 'I love you' and she smiles as I watch her relax and enjoy the performance.

When all the football guys begin fighting after our performance I feel slim arms wrap around my waist and pull me out of the way.

"My hero." I giggle, turning in Quinn's arms to face her as the boys continue to brawl behind me, it's from there that I catch a glance at her expression. "What's wrong?"

"I think I'm going to pick the Cheerios." She blurts out, before releasing me from her hold and walking out of the choir room.

Santana and Brittany follow her but not before Brittany looks over her shoulder at me and gives me a sad look and a small wave.

I turn back to the glee club but it seems I'm the only one to notice the absence of the unholy trinity.

"Quinn I know you don't want me to do this but trust me, it'll be fine, I'll be fine. I've got my dads to agree but I really don't want to do this if you're going to be mad at me."

"I just don't want you to get hurt baby." She pouts, wrapping her arms around me.

I lead her over to her bed and sit on the edge with her.

"I won't, the girls and I are just going to lie down when the whistle blows. It's purely about numbers."

"But… I'm not going to be there to look out for you."

"Well you're the one who chose cheerleading." I tease, before seeing the hurt in her eyes. "I'm messing babe, you know I support your decision, it was up to you and honestly I'm proud of you for choosing what you love over who you love, it means you won't wordlessly follow me through life rather than following your own dreams and I'd feel guilty if you did that."

Quinn grins again and leans forward to kiss me.

"So will you let me do this, for our friends?" I ask, pulling away from her delectable lips.

"Are you kidding Rach? After you've just got done saying you're proud of me for doing what I want to, I'd be very hypocritical if I didn't let you do this." She laughs.

During the football game, Mercedes, Tina and I stay lying down whilst Lauren and the boys play, but we still get slaughtered in the first half and Tina gets injured when she gets up to play.

"Hey, where are you going?" Finn asks when I walk off the field at half time.

"To get us some cheerleaders, you figure out how to get the rest of your team back and maybe we can get a win out of this."

Finn nods and jogs off to talk to Puck whilst I run towards the car park, hoping the Cheerios hadn't left yet.

"Hey!" I shout as I spot Quinn, Santana and Brittany climbing onto the bus.

"Please don't go, we need you." I beg as they all turn to face me. "You might think you aren't strong enough to do this, to lose your status but I know you are, you all are. Plus wouldn't you rather let Brittany live?" I laugh.

"I'm in." Quinn grins. "But I'm doing this for me, not for you." She winks.

"Yeah screw Sue, she put me on the bottom of the pyramid." Santana points out.

"And I really don't want to die." Brittany adds.

"Let's go then." I smile, intertwining my fingers with Quinn's.

"No time for a foursome ladies." Sue calls from behind us.

"We quit." Quinn shouts back.

"You can't quit, it's blood in, blood out."

"We still quit though." Santana adds.

With that, I begin walking back to the football field with the three girls I never expected would become my everything.

After an amazing half time show, the football team manages to play even better than ever before and come together to win the game.

I squeal and jump into Quinn's arms as we watch the boys celebrate from the side-lines.

"We did it." I grin as she catches me easily.

"No, you did it." She corrects before pulling me in for a kiss.

Just over a week after the football game, I wake up early and turn my alarm off before it rings, wanting to be the one to wake Quinn up this morning.

I glance over at my perfect girlfriend and a smile spreads across my lips. She's lying on her back with one arm resting on the pillow above her head, her forearm covering her messy hair and the other arm hanging off the bed. Her mouth is slightly open yet she still looks beautiful.

Moving slowly as to not wake her by shaking the bed, I make my way down the bed until I'm hovering just above her legs. I gently push them apart and Quinn moves slightly but doesn't rouse. As soon as there's room I lower myself between her legs and slowly move the crotch of her sleep shorts to one side, smiling when I see that she isn't wearing underwear. Her head lifts up off the pillow with a jolt as soon as I attach my lips to her centre.

"Happy Valentine's day baby." I smirk before lowering my head again and this time her head drops back down onto the pillow and she threads her fingers into my hair.

I flick the tip of my tongue over her clit and she squirms beneath me so I repeat this action several times until she climaxes, her hips lifting off the bed and a soft moan escaping her lips.

"Well that was easy." I tease, moving up Quinn's body until I'm hovering above her.

"Hmm maybe you're just insanely good at it." She blushes.

"First time I've done it, must be beginners luck." I wink. "But don't worry I'm sure I wouldn't last long if your mouth was on me."

"Well let's find out." The blonde smirks, raising one eyebrow before flipping us over and shimming down my body.

I didn't last long either.

"Mr Schue, can I say something?" I ask, raising my hand as soon as he enters the choir room.

"Of course Rachel, you have the floor." He smiles, taking a seat at the side of the room.

I stand up and move into the centre of the room before turning and looking directly at Quinn.

"Now, part of your Valentine's gift was given to you this morning, but I also wanted to sing a song with you, seeing as we haven't done that since the first week of term. So I chose a song from your favourite musical and although you aren't a psycho murderer or anything I think it's pretty perfect for us." I laugh.

Quinn grins and watches as I set out two seats in the middle of the choir room before gesturing for her to join me. She sits in the seat to my left and continues smiling at me as the band start playing and she recognises the song.

I take a deep breath and begin singing.

"Fine!
We're damaged,
Really damaged.
But that does not make us wise.
We're not special, we're not different,
We don't choose who lives or dies.
Let's be normal, see bad movies,
Sneak a beer and watch TV.
We'll bake brownies, or go bowling,
Don't you want a life with me?

"Can't we be seventeen?
That's all I want to do.
If you could let me in,
I could be good with you.

"People hurt us,
Or they vanish,
And you're right, that really blows.
But we let go,
Take a deep breath
Then go buy some summer clothes.
We'll go camping,
Play some poker,
And we'll eat some chilli fries.
Maybe prom night,
Maybe dancing,
Don't stop looking in my eyes,
Your eyes.

"Can't we be seventeen?
Is that so hard to do?
If you could let me in,
I could be good with you.
Let us be seventeen,
If we still got the right.
So what's it gonna be?
I wanna be with you,
I wanna be with you,
Wanna be with you,
Tonight.

"Yeah we're damaged,
Badly damaged,
But your love's too good to lose.
Hold me tighter,
Even closer,
I'll stay if I'm what you choose.

"Can we be seventeen?
If I am what you choose.
If we've still got the right.
'Cause you're the one I choose,
You're the one I choose,
You're the one, I choose."

As soon as we break off the last note, Quinn kisses me deeply and I smile against her lips.

"I'm glad you liked it baby." I grin after pulling away from the kiss.

"I loved it, and you." She responds before kissing me again.

"Alright, that's enough." Mr Schuester chuckles and I feel myself being pulled away from Quinn's lips.

She leads me back to her seat and pulls me onto her lap, wrapping her arms around my waist and resting her chin on my shoulder as Mr Schue continues with the lesson.

When he suggests going door to door singing love songs the whole club begins shouting and Finn stands up to face us all.

He tells us that since winning the football championship he's become even more popular and thinks his status will help everyone.

As he begins talking about a kissing booth I get distracted as Quinn starts trailing soft kisses up and down my neck so I tilt my head to give her more access and lose myself in the sensation.

Later that evening, Quinn and I are lying on my bed talking when I get a text from Kurt.

'Hey, Blaine and I are getting all the glee couples together at BreadStix, you in?'

After a quick conversation with Quinn, I reply saying we'll be there.

We get dressed in separate rooms to avoid roaming hands but I soon regret that when I see what the blonde is wearing.

"Oh, wow." I breathe as I let my eyes scan the skin tight jeans and lose check shirt, tied at the bottom, over a white strappy t-shirt.

"Wow yourself new girl." She smirks and I blush, looking down at my red jumpsuit. "Red is definitely your colour."

"All girls look good in red Quinn. It's a fact."

"Hmm, have you been checking out other girls." She teases before mock gasping. "The Cheerios wear red, have you been checking them out?"

"Only one of them." I wink before leading her downstairs. "Though technically she isn't a Cheerio anymore."

"Which one?"

"Oh just this hot blonde." I laugh.

"Should I be worried?" Quinn giggles.

I pretend to think it over before responding. "I'm not sure, I've heard she has a thing for brunettes."

"Yeah she does." She grins before dipping her head down to plant a soft kiss on my lips.

I shout a quick goodbye to my dads and then Quinn drives us to BreadStix.

As I push open the door to the restaurant I instantly spot Kurt and Blaine sat in a booth in the corner. We wonder over and I soon spot who else is sat opposite them.

"Sam, Mercedes I didn't know you were coming." I smile, sliding into the booth next to Kurt and moving over to make room for Quinn.

"Well I was lead to believe that all glee couples were invited." Mercedes teases.

I squeal and feel Quinn flinch beside me.

"You're official?" The blonde asks.

"Yep, thanks to your girlfriend." Sam grins. "I'm assuming you asked her to put in a good word for me after I let you have the BreadStix vouchers from winning the duet competition."

"You're welcome." I smile teasingly. "You guys make a good couple."

A few minutes later Santana and Brittany wander over and slide in next to Sam.

"I can't believe you made me come to this Hummel." Santana mumbles.

"Nobody made you Santana." He points out.

"I did." Brittany pipes up. "But she didn't take much convincing."

"Britt…" The Latina whines.

I laugh along with the group and rest my head on Quinn's shoulder as we chat and enjoy the evening with some of our closest friends who were becoming like family.
