Jimin

Within moments of stepping on school grounds, I was accosted.

"Park Jimin! You have some nerve showing your face after what you did!" I rolled my eyes as my blue-haired best friend called to me as I approached practically shouting.

I walked up to Tae and the rest of our friends who were standing in a circle in the school yard talking like we did every morning to postpone walking into our educational prison any earlier than needed. Throwing my arm over his shoulder, I responded. "And what did I do this time?"

"Uh, I was texting and snapping you all night and you ignored me!"

"I didn't ignore you. I told you I would tell you today at school. We had a family movie night after Yoongi left. You know how my mom is about me being on my phone during family time."

"Well?!" Yugyeom chimed in, "What happened?" The entire group moved subtly closer as if they had been waiting for this all morning. Which they probably had. I had been planning to tell Taehyung all about the evening and my potential new crush, but suddenly, standing here with so many eyes on me, I decided it would be better to wait.

"Nothing happened. We worked on the science project, we ate dinner, and then he went home. Honestly though, he was really chill. I don't see what all the fuss is about."

Jackson spoke up, "Uh, the fuss is about the fact that the kid is psychotic. Seriously, be careful around him. My freshman year, I saw him get into a fight with some kid in the hallway. The other guy was in the hospital for weeks. Yoongi nearly killed him."

"Yeah, I heard he was in Juvie for, like, all of freshman year. That's why he's older than us. Because, he had to redo the whole grade." Yugyeom added in.

"Plus," Tae piped up, "We all know what he did to me in middle school. Min Yoongi is not to be trusted." Glancing around at all the faces they all looked serious and sombre. For a moment, my previous fears surfaced, but then I thought back to last night and how polite and shy he had been.

"Okay, but like, have any of you ever actually talked to him? Because, he was really nice actually. I mean, he's actually my first project partner to actually help me with the work. No offense Taehyung." Tae let out an offended gasp and brought his hand to his chest like an old hollywood starlet. "I mean, I hadn't moved here yet for the first half of Freshman year, but a lot of these just sound like rumors."

"What did he do? Brainwash you?"

"Uh, no, he just talked to me like a person. Heck, my parents like him, too. Even Minji liked him. I mean Jikyeong is kinda convinced he's a vampire…"

"I knew it." Taehyung whispered.

"...but that kid is crazy." I continued giving Tae a judging look.

"When you say, you're parents like him too, does that mean you like him?" Jinyoung spoke up from my other side nudging me and smirking.

"What?! No…" I tried to hide my blush, "I'm just saying he's not that bad, and maybe we have the wrong idea of him."

"Okay, okay….hey look there he is!" Yugyeom said, pointing behind me. I whipped my head around, and the whole group laughed.

"Haha, very funny." I said dryly, but then paused when over Jackson's shoulder I saw him for real. Even though I couldn't see his face properly, it was obviously him trudging through the courtyard in all black with his hood up covering his face. I couldn't help but smile a bit when I saw him. Holy shit. It's been one day and I'm smitten. What the fuck?

When the bell rang signaling the end of Biology, I instantly made my way to the back of the room towards Yoongi's seat. His head was resting on his arms once again and he hadn't moved despite the fact that class was over.

I cleared my throat to get his attention. "Uh, Yoongi?" Hesitantly, I reached out to wake him up. Before I could touch him, his hand shot out and grabbed my wrist. Opening one eye he looked up at me and then smiled slightly.

"Oh, hi Jimin. I didn't realize it was you."

"I- uh," I glanced down at his slender fingers still wrapped around my wrist, my heart thudding in my chest. "I just wanted to see when you wanted to work on the project again. We forgot to plan that last night."

"Oh, right." He smiled slightly and I felt my cheeks instantly heat. "When are you free?"

"Well, I have dance team practice tonight and Thursday. And I already made plans with Tae on Wednesday, but I'm free on Friday." His smile faltered and then disappeared. He looked down quickly.

"Oh-uh, I actually can't on Friday. I-I have to help my dad...with something. Sorry..."

"That's okay! What about this weekend? Saturday?" I suddenly had a thought and quickly gripped on to it before I could lose my nerve. Be bold Jimin.

"I actually heard that Kim Seokjin is having a party on Saturday. We could work on the project and then...go to the party. You know...if you want to." I managed to get the words out without making a total fool of myself, and then immediately clammed up. What did I just do? Did I just ask out MIN YOONGI? What if he doesn't like boys? Oh Crap oh crap oh crap oh crap.

Yoongi stared at me as if he couldn't believe what I just said. The utter shock on his face had me squirming in my skin.

"Go to the party...like...together?" His voice was low and I barely heard him.

"Yeah, just like as friends…" I backtracked a bit. "Just as a reward for working on a school project. Ya know?"

"As friends?" He finally looked back at me. For once he met my eyes, but I couldn't read his expression.

"Uh, yeah...you know. Since we are working together..it could be fun...but it's not a big deal. You don't hav-"

"Okay." He mumbled now staring straight at me. "We can go."

I couldn't help the large smile that spread over my face. "Okay, great! I have to head to class now or I'll be late, but I'll see you on Saturday!"

Before I could leave, I realized I was still kind of stuck. "Uh, Yoongi... can you let go of my wrist? I kinda have to go."

"M'sorry." He flushed bright red, and dropped my wrist as if it burned him. The bright blush and slight pout of his pick lips made him look absolutely adorable especially when he pulled his hands into his dark oversized hoodie. I tried to suppress a giggle but I couldn't.

"Bye, Yoongi." I threw one more smile in his direction before rushing off to class and praying I wasn't late.

As I reached the classroom door I heard a quiet 'Bye Jimin'. God, he's so cute.
