Hi there again! How are you doing?! I hope you like the next chapter to the story! Thank you to all of you who have gotten this far! I appreciate it! I don't own the Hardy Boys. This chapter might clear some stuff up and answer some questions. Enjoy! :D

Joe saw a blade in the pocket of the man who took Frank into the alley!

Joe quickly ran from his spot from the window and made a mad dash towards the empty alley. He saw the big man push Frank and he fell to the floor. As Frank was getting up, he saw the man lift his arm.

Joe realized there was something in the man's hand. It was the knife! Joe started running as fast as he could towards his brother. The man swung his hand in a throwing motion.

"FRANK," Joe shouted at the top of this lungs and rushed at his older brother, praying it wasn't too late. "FRANK LOOK OUT!"

Joe slammed his body into Frank's, pushing both him and his brother out of the way of the thrown dagger. Joe quickly got off of Frank and checked him for injury.

"Frank are you okay," he said while looking down at his dazed brother, still on the floor. "We gotta get out of here!"

The man who threw the dagger started running towards Frank and Joe. Joe grabbed his brothers arm and pulled him up. Then the boys started running out of the alley and into the crowded street.

"This way," Frank exclaimed. The brothers turned left and sprinted the rest of the way down the street, dodging the confused bystanders. Joe dared to look behind him and saw that the man was still following them.

As they were running, Joe asked Frank again, "Are you okay?"

"Pretty good for a guy who almost got stabbed," he replied, out of breath.

The boys kept running until they saw an abandoned and empty building. "Quick! We can lose him in there!" Frank and Joe shoved the locked door open with sheer force, and dashed inside.

"Do you think we lost him," Joe asked. Frank walked over to a dusty window and peered outside.

"We did. He just ran past us."

Frank looked at his brother and saw that Joe was also looking at him. Grins broke out on their faces and they started laughing.

"What-just-happened," Joe said in between his laughs.

"I have-no-idea," Frank wheezed.

After the laughter died down, Frank looked at his brother curiously. "What happened to you? Where did you go last night? Were you kidnapped?"

Frank and Joe caught each other up about their day's adventures. Frank told Joe about how he found Kayla. Of course, he found the part where Frank tricked Victor very funny. Joe told Frank about how he escaped.

"The truck they brought me in is filled with jewelry and valuables," he explained. "What did the men say at the meeting?"

"I didn't get to hear much before they saw me, but based on what I did hear, Jess, Patrick, and Victor have been ripping off hotel rooms for three years now," he answered.

"They have been keeping what they stole in the truck. When the guests called to report their stolen goods, Patrick told them they would do their best to help them, but in reality, they just shrugged it off."

"But when Kayla saw them stealing, they didn't want a witness, and they kidnapped her," Joe realized. Frank nodded.

"Exactly," he stated. "Once they had enough, they were planning on selling what they stole to those men over there."

"What are the men going to do with the goods," Joe questioned.

"I didn't get to hear that part," Frank replied. "They were about to get to that, but that one guy got me. Thanks for saving me, by the way," Frank added, gratefully. "I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't gotten to me in time."

"What are brothers for," Joe smiled. He playfully punched his brother in the shoulder.

"You know I was really worried about you, little brother," Frank admitted.

Joe looked at Frank and saw a serious, but upset look on his face. "You know it is going to take a lot more than that to get rid of me," he joked to lift Frank's spirts.

Frank nodded and laughed. "That's true. Alright. Let's get out of here."

"Back to the hotel," Joe questioned.

"Nope," Frank said simply. "Back to the bar."

"What exactly are we looking for here," Joe asked his brother as he and Frank looked around the table that the men had sat at before.

"Anything," Frank replied.

"Your going to have to be more specific," Joe retorted.

"Something that Jess and the other people sitting at this table might have dropped," Frank explained.

"Like a napkin," Joe teased.

"No Joe, not a napkin. Something that can help us find out who those men were and where they are going," Frank huffed.

After a while of searching, Joe jumped up with a start. "Frank I found something!"

"What is it," Frank asked. Joe held up a napkin. "Joe, seriously. Not a napkin!"

"No actually, Frank, look!" Joe turned the napkin over to show something written on it.

"What does it say," Frank wondered.

"75 Pine Road Avenue. Why, it is an address!"

"Well, I guess that is where we are going," Frank exclaimed.

"Can we go back to the hotel first," Joe questioned. "We never did get to eat."

Frank chuckled. "Yeah. It is almost breakfast anyway, but this time I am coming to the lobby with you."

Frank and Joe climbed into the car Frank brought and drove their way back to the lodge. They then had a quick breakfast and went up to their room and began talking over their next move.

"I think we should go to the address next," Joe said. "And see what we can find there."

"I agree. Maybe the stolen goods will be there. What do we do if the people are see us and we get caught, though?"

"Simple," Joe answered. "We just don't get caught."

Hi again! Sorry this chapter is a little short, but like I said before, I wanted to use it to clear some stuff up. What is going to happen next?! What will be at the 75 Pine Road Avenue? Will Frank and Joe get caught?! Duh-duh-duuuuh! Bye! Hope you enjoyed this chapter!! :) Have a good day, or afternoon, or night!
