Gabriel was stumped. How could He avoid them so easily? Jeremy and Susie kept walking up to the office but they couldn't break through, Fritz even attacked multiple times, yet He still had his power. Something was different.

While the Purple Man may have been hiding out as a night guard for years now, these last two days he was a lot more efficient.

They used to be able to catch him off-guard. Even on his best days, he would still run out of power a few minutes before 6 a.m.

And either Jeremy or Fritz would attack him, although he did ward them off with that damn taser.

Furthermore, for about 3 years now He wouldn't even stay in the office. He would run around, try to conserve the power by going round. And now suddenly, he only stayed in the office.

And He was oddly quiet.

Normally, he would curse them out. Call them names and taunt them, he even started using their real names, to spite them. Now He was quiet. He just watched, like the predator he was.

Susie saw something that alerted all of them though.

He was smiling.

The same, soulless smile he gave while slaughtering them.

He was planning something.

They all kept asking Evan to join them, but he just kept quiet. Like always.

As for Sammy, none of them wanted to bother him. All of them were grateful for the gift he gave them, but these last few years he didn't do anything, just...sat there.

Jeremy guessed it was guilt, Fritz thought his powers were waning. Susie tried to talk to him, cheer him up a bit.

As for Gabriel, he decided to take over the leadership role. He did poses the main character after all. And with Sammy and Evan becoming apathetic, it was up to him to lead the others. And. Free. All of them.

Darkness.

Darkness everywhere. With Pop goes the weasel playing. The Anthony Newley version

Sammy was used to the darkness. Long ago, when he was still on the other side, he even used to fear it.

But now, darkness was comforting. It meant that those he was caring for could finally move. He could hear them now.

Well...not hear per se, it was more akin to a linked consciousness, with all of their thoughts and feelings being shared. Only Evan and he could actually use their real voices. When he was trapped for the first time, he tried to ask for help, to free him. He was put in a box...Fazbear Entertainment was charming since the beginning.

He was always a bit different from the others. Once again, with the exception of Evan. Both could even move during the day. Others could also as well, but only if Sammy helped them. And that took loads of his power, and it was very straining. He only did it once. When He killed ANOTHER 5 five.

But now...he realized that they were too late. Their murderer left. And what good did attacking innocent people? Others didn't seem to get it. They were still children at mind. Sure, they were no longer 7 or 6, but mentally they were still at most in their prepubescence. Sammy meanwhile, was a 25-year-old man stuck in a toy. And he had way too much time for self-reflection. Even if they succeeded, would they be free? Would they be allowed to go to the good place( which is what they referred to as the afterlife since he didn't want to stir religious arguments)? Or would they be sent into a pit of hellfire for all the guards they killed?

Sammy changed a lot. When he was killed, he was driven by revenge. He wanted to make the one that killed him get what he deserves. When he saw the same happen to others, he gave them the ability to control the robotic abominations they were stuffed into. But now, he didn't know what to do. He could even feel his power wasn't as strong as it was a few years ago. He could still probably put up a fight, but now he was no longer able to give life. Most likely Evan could but he was too involved stewing in his self-pity to help.

So he sat in the darkness, in a box, with the song Pop goes the weasel, the Anthony Newley version.

The same that his mother used to sing.
