The next several months went by without incident. Harry did his chores and read the tomes, while trying to gain a foothold on his lich magic.

It is during a rainy Monday that things changed, again.

Harry is watching television in the living room, as Aunt Petunia is away grocery shopping. The television show is a western.

Harry then hears a knocking on the front door. Turning off the television, Harry walks over and checks through a side window.

There on his steps is Dumbledore, in a nightmarish purple suit and tie with a yellow suitcase. Harry opens the front door.

"Good afternoon, Headmaster Dumbledore".

"Good afternoon Harry. Mind if I step in."

Harry moves to the side and Dumbledore shuffles in ahead of him.

Closing the door, they head to the living room.

"What brings you here, Headmaster?"

"I want to check in on you, as well as divulge some information that I think you are ready to hear."

"Well, I am reading the books like you instructed. What is it that you want to tell me?"

Dumbledore licks his lips and steeples his hands together.

"It is about what happened on that fateful day your parents died. You see Harry, there is a prophecy about you. "

"A prophecy about me? "
"Yes, you see, Lord Voldemort, the Dark Lord that attacked your parents, gained access to a prophecy about you, a prophecy that I am going to share with you today. "

"So it was because of me that my parents were attacked."

Dumbledore slumped a little "in that particular time and place; yes. But once hearing the prophecy, you should realize that he shouldn't have gone to you in the first place to attack. All fault for that attack lays on the feet of Lord Voldemort."

"What is the prophecy?"

Here, Dumbledore takes out his yellow suitcase and opens it. Inside is a stone tablet, where ancient Greek is written in stone. "The prophecy is on this tablet. Just hold it Harry, and it should tell you the story."

Dumbledore hands the tablet over to Harry. Once Harry touches the tablet, the words light up and it says "As the seventh month dies, a child to be experimented on will be born, he will be experimented on by the dark lord, and through these experiments the child may gain the ability to defeat the greatest dark lord".

Word by word, the stone tablet lights up. Once finished, Harry hands the tablet to Dumbledore, letting go of it.

"So you see Harry, Voldemort should never have gone to you in the first place. Once he did, he tried to use a ritual on you and your parents. A ritual that failed. A ritual that is nothing but a forth comer for the experiments that he wants to perform on you."

"What ritual is that, Headmaster."

"That, I cannot tell you. But in this ritual you gained a competition with him, a battle of wills, that still connects you to this day. For even now, his failure mocks him, and its failure is but a testament to your will power. He will return to you and at best will kill you, and at worst continue with his experiments on you."

"So it is worse than a simple murder. He wants to torture me?"
"Precisely".

"I need to be prepared for him, for this."
Here Dumbledore smiles, steepling his fingers up to his chin.

"There is a way, but it is Dark, and requires you to constantly be in a dark ritual. But you will be prepared for him."

"A dark ritual. But won't that make me a dark acolyte, or even a dark lord? I can't constantly be in a dark ritual."

"But you can Harry".

"Why are you helping me like this Headmaster. I am already a lich, and soon I could be a dark lord. Why would you be helping a new dark lord."
"It is the lesser of two evils Harry. I choose the lesser of two evils" he says with a small smile.

Pausing in his thoughts, Harry stares at the ground, before looking up at Dumbledore. "I have made my decision. I agree. I will do this ritual. If not for my parents, but for what he may experiment me on in the future".

"You are making a wise decision. I actually do not know the specifics of the ritual, except for one crucial ingredient. Have you heard of an intuition stone, Harry?"

Jumping up, Harry remarks "yes, it was in that law book. An intuition stone sways the actions of hundreds of thousands of people."

"Good, good. Voldemort has an intuition stone, one he uses in rituals to bolster his power. He is all but absent from it. On the night he killed your parents, his dominance of the intuition stone ended. "

Here Dumbledore sighs "there are many ways to dominate an intuition stone. The old fashioned way of swaying opinions can do, with ads, education, and public relations. But there is also the subtle, and much easier, dominance of the stone once it is in your possession. Only when it is in your possession can it be used for some rituals. Voldemort doesn't have the intuition stone, as evidenced by the breaking of his sway over the population."

Leaning in, Harry asks, "then where is the stone. If Voldemort doesn't have it in his possession, than where could he have put it."

"That is a good question, one where I have only a hunch where it could be. But to gain access I need to be a dark creature. The magic runes and wards do not recognize me as such, but that is where you come in. If you go, as a lich, those particular wards won't be triggered. The other wards, I can deal with. "

Harry takes a step back "shouldn't we be giving the intuition stone to the Light?"

"Finders keepers" winks Dumbledore, "this will be our little secret."
