Not going to lie, I struggled with this chapter an also I lost a little interest. So hopefully now I shall write some chapters to add to this story. To me I feel like this chapter is just a filler chapter. I hope you enjoy it though.

Chapter seven

Ryleigh pov

The spread of food that way laid out across the multiple tables was crazy. Mountains of different kinds of meat, salads, pies, and seven kinds of fried seafoods. Dessert was also included as well as drinks.

Following Faiths lead, I picked up a plate and grabbed bits of the food that was Infront of me. After getting food and a drink I sat down on the other side of the table, facing Faith. Another person was sitting near us but more downwards from us.

"Oh my…. your new." Squeaked a soft excited feminine voice.

Looking towards the person who spoke all I see is a snow-white pale person with honey brown eyes and chestnut curly brown long hair looking excitedly straight at me.

"Yes, I am new." I replied with a smile.

"Well, its nice to meet you, the name's Matilda Magg, chief medical surgeon of Eden's gates and stationed mainly at St. Francis Veterans centre." Rattled off Matilda.

"Wellllll, my name is Ryleigh Wellington and I'm a recent graduate." I said while smiling.

"Welcome to adult life kiddo, its not as fun as everyone thinks it is." Said John as he entered the eating area that we were sitting at with his brothers coming to sit down at the same table as us.

Not expecting it to happen, but Joseph Seed picked to sit beside me. While Jacob sat down the end facing the entrance to watch those who came and go. John sat down next to Faith.

"Thanks for the old man info." I shot back with some cheek. Including John and I, everyone around the table lightly chuckled.

"What made you decide to join us Ryleigh.?" Asked Matilda.

Finishing what was in my mouth I replied. "Haven't joined, just seeing why there is a fifty, fifty on the opinions of this place."

"Oh…well I do hope you choose to join us; many hands make light work for everyone." Said Matilda with a smile."

"True, true." I replied as I took a sip of my drink.

While eating I flicked my eyes around the room, watching others eat and talk to each other.

"Is the food nice." Said Joseph.

"Its delicious." I replied as I looked up at him, making eye contact.

Sweet mother of god why do evil men have to be so captivating and have striking blue eyes.

"That's good." Said Joseph as gave a small smile.

"How often do you guys hold a gathering like this." I said still making eye contact with the blue eye devil of a man.

"A normal sermon is held every Sunday, but a big gathering like this, usually once a month." Responded Joseph.

"It seems like a nice place, very welcoming so far Joseph."

"Thank you, means a lot coming from someone who isn't apart of Eden's gate, shows that we must be doing something right."

Hours had passed on by and it was defiantly late into the night. Everyone had eaten and enjoyed some outdoor games. I had even enjoyed my self a lot more than I thought I would. Waving goodbye to some of the people who were still lingering around the place I took off heading back home.

Arriving back home I made my way inside.

"Hey Dutch, you home." I called out as I walked in

"Yeah kiddo." Hollered Dutch.

Walking up the hallway and into the small kitchen area I found Dutch at the bench cleaning his guns.

"How was your day Ryleigh."?

"It was good, the "Cult" isn't as bad as it seems to be."

Letting out a deep snort Dutch rolled his eyes. "They're only showing the "nice" side to it all, so that they can draw more people in. Don't think for one moment that everything with them is okay."

"I'm not going to join them, I'm not stupid, I've heard the rumours especially what happened to Mary mays parents." I replied as I took my shoes off and going around the bench and into the small kitchen getting myself a glass of water.

"Good. Also, I cleaned your rifle today for you."

"Thank you." I replied as I downed my water.

" I've been hearing police chatter over my radio last few days that a group of police outside of Hope county is coming in to give a hand in arresting Joseph and his brothers in the next few days. I want you to stay away from that cult in case shit starts to go pear shape okay." Stressed Dutch.

"No problem, I've satisfied my need to go see them and what there all about."

"Good."

"I'm off to bed, early morning tomorrow, Sheriff Whitehorse wants my help."

"Night kiddo, Stay safe tomorrow please." Called out Dutch as I entered my room.

Didn't take me long to conk out cold once my head hit the pillow.

Joseph Pov

Lunch had passed with flying colours. We had gathered a small handful of brand-new followers today.

"That Ryleigh girl is something…. huh Joseph." Pipped up Faith.

"Mmmmmh….do you really think she'll join us." Said Jacob.

"She has too, otherwise our family isn't complete." Said John.

"Ryleigh will join us, God has shown me what is needed of her, just have to make sure she isn't influenced by the sinners."

"I got word from Nancy that we maybe expecting a visit soon from the police department." Said John

"No need to worry just yet, wait and see what happens first. If the first seal is broken, then we work harder to keep everything we have worked so hard for safe. That's including Ryleigh." I said.

"I'll make sure my men are more then ready." Said Jacob as he sat down on the other couch.

Leaning back against the couch I closed my eyes, listening to the others talk. It was going to get difficult soon but if everything went well, the new world would be beautiful, and I'd be with my family like I planned.
