My Wolf

AN: I wanna say thank you for all being patient on a new chapter. I hit a low point and writer's block at the same time. I'm hoping to get back on track soon, as I have multiple story ideas and most of them I already started on a few chapters. I'll post one story at a time so I can go back over the chapters and make sure I don't have mistakes. I don't have a beta so if you see a mistake, let me know so I can fix it, please and thank you! This one is on the short side but it's needed to get back up and running again.

Ch 7

It came to no shock that I loved Paul, but it was a shock to hear him say it so soon. Even though I was his imprint, and we just met, it felt right. Maybe a bit soon, but right.

Paul sat me on my bed and sat next to me. I looked to him with a grin as he looked shocked. I kissed his cheek and kicked my shoe off before limping to my closet. I bent down and grabbed my house slippers and some shorts. Taking my long sleeve shirt off leaving me in a thick strap tank top, I undid the ace wrap brace on my ankle and shimmied my pants off.

I looked up when I heard a grumble. Paul was looking at me with such an intense look, that I blushed and hurried to pull my shorts on and snapped the brace back on my ankle. Sliding my slippers on, I stood up and sat back on the bed and leaned against Paul. He wrapped an arm around me, being careful of the tattoo.

"I thought I need a shower... The only bad part about tattoos, they itch when healing and I can't scratch it. If I do, it'll ruin it," I mumbled.

Paul snorted, "I'll just scent over you. Don't need you falling in the shower. And that's why I'm glad we heal quickly. 5 minutes after it was done, I was healed," showing me his tattoo on his shoulder. I traced the design and felt him shiver.

"Since you didn't have lunch, want me to make you something, or I can take you to Emily's, if you want."

"A trip to Emily's don't sound to bad. It's been a few days anyway. Just as long as I'm not confined to the couch or a chair," I told him. He raised his hands in submission. Seeing as I already changed, I grabbed my long sleeve shirt and put it back on and changed my slippers for a sock and a tennis shoe. The only reason why I could wear both slippers was because they were big and fit over the brace.

Paul picked me up and carried me down to my truck, sitting me in the middle. I grabbed my bag and checked my phone. Seeing as I had no missed text messages or calls, I put it back and leaned against Paul after he got in and started the truck. He drove us to Sam and Emily's, who were waiting for us on the porch.

Paul once again picked me up and carried me to the porch and stood me up next to Emily, who hugged me immediately. I hugged her back.

"Hey, it's good to see you again!" Emily said with a grin.

"It's good to see you too, Em. I hope you don't mind us coming over," I said, slightly ducking my head.

"Oh it's fine, lunch is almost done. Tell me about your ankle," Emily asked gently as we walked into the house to the kitchen, leaving Paul and Sam on the porch.

"It's nothing really. I slipped on a patch of ice on the stairs this morning, twisting my ankle. I can take the wrap brace off tomorrow. Paul just likes to carry me around and hold me," I told her with a grin. "Especially after I showed him my new tattoo and we told each other we loved each other," I whispered to her. She squealed and hugged me. I laughed at her and hugged her back.

"Oh this is so perfect! Sam proposed last night and I said yes!" Emily told me, I squealed this time and hugged her, "Congrats! Oh I'm so happy for you!" She held out her hand, showing me the ring on her finger. It was simple and pretty. A small gold band with three small diamonds embedded in the band. It fit Emily perfectly. "It's so beautiful Em."

"I know. He said he wanted to give me something better, but I told him that I was and I still am happy with what he gave me," Emily said as she finally turned towards the stove, stirring a pot of rice before checking on another pot of broccoli.

"Anything I can help with?" I asked, leaning against the counter.

"Not at the moment, but after lunch you could help me make some pies for the guys if you want," she said as she checked some meat in the oven. It smelt like chicken.

"Oooh, definitely. Chocolate creme pie is one of my favorites. Maybe next time, I can bring dessert over. I make a mean pineapple dump cake," I told her.

"Dump cake?"

"Yup, a couple of the big cans of crushed pineapple in juice, then yellow cake mix on top, then melt a stick or two of butter and pour that on top of the mix and stick it in the oven at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. Less time if you want a soft top or longer for a crunchy top. It's close to being a upside down cake, but at the same time it's not."

"Sounds like a heart attack snack."

I laughed and nodded, "Yeah it's not meant for those with heart problems or diabetes. I only make it maybe 3 or 4 times a year anyway."

"I can see why, can you call the guys in, lunch is ready. I'll have our bowls done first," Emily said with a smile as she pulled the chicken out of the oven and combined the rice and broccoli together adding cheese on top as well.

"Can do." I limped out of the kitchen and on to the porch and noticed the guys missing. I whistled before calling out them, "Lunch is ready and if you want it nice and hot I suggest you guys quit wolfing around and come eat!"

Emily was giggling as she had heard me and we sat at the table and began to eat.

"Emily, could you cook for me every day?" I jokingly asked her. She laughed and said, "Only if you bake for me every day!"

Paul, Sam, and Jared all came in with a grin, heading to the food. Paul kissed my head on the way over as Sam did to Emily.

I squeaked when arms lifted me off my chair and sat me down in someone's lap. I looked back to see Paul grinning. I rolled my eyes and faced the table again. We both ate that way. While eating the guys were discussing possible members next to phase.

"Well... My sister is possibly moving in with us soon," I told everyone as they asked me how my life was doing with all the leeches. "So I'm hoping to keep them on the down low... Alice didn't really want me knowing about them being vampires to keep their secret safe but since that incident..." Paul growled lowly, I leaned against him and kissed his chin in hopes of calming him down, "I try to keep my visits limited as it is, maybe I should stop being friends with Alice..."

"It would be for the best... But we understand that it's hard to make and leave friends..." Sam said, favoring the idea of me leaving the vampires alone for good. I nodded and sighed quietly, looking down at the table. A hand reached out and grabbed and held one of mine. I looked up to see Emily sadly smiling at me.

"You know you can come here after school every day if you want, I would love the company while Sam is off working or patrolling."

I smiled gently at her and nodded, "I would like that."

It was then when months flew by and it was the middle of March. My dad had gone to get Bella from the airport while I went to school. I had told Alice of my sister coming and I wanted to keep her out of the supernatural world. She sadly agreed with me and we parted ways. We would waved at each other in the parking lot but that was it with interactions.

School went by as normal that day. Everyone ignored me, but I heard the whispers of a new girl coming tomorrow. Bella didn't want to waste time on going back to school. I got to my truck and looked to Alice and sighed when she didn't wave at me. Instead she looked sad and just got into the car. I bit my lip and nodded to myself and got into the truck and headed home.

I would've headed to Emily's but with Bella coming home today, I knew I needed to be there. I parked my truck on the side of the road so Billy and Jake from the reservation could bring Bella her homecoming gift that dad got for her.

Getting out of my truck, I went inside and straight to my room. I put my bags down on my bed and took my jacket off, putting it in my closet. I then went to the kitchen and got a cup of water to drink as Bella and Charlie pulled up.

"Christine?"

"In the kitchen daddy."

Charlie and Bella walked to the entrance, I put my cup in the sink. I turned around and smiled at the two.

"Christine, this is Bella your younger sister. Bella this is Christine," Charlie introduced us.

"It's nice to finally meet you, Bella," I said gently. She nodded her at me, "Yeah, you too."

We stood there for a minute before Charlie cleared his throat and took Bella up stairs to Bella's room. I sighed, I met Bella, maybe I could ask Charlie if I could go see Paul. When Charlie came back down, I asked him, "Hey, daddy... Could I go see Paul today?"

"Yeah, that's fine, just be back by 10 tonight," He said as he took his gun belt and jacket off. I hugged him and went up to my room to grab my jacket and purse. I grabbed my phone from my purse and texted Paul really quick as I flew down the stairs.

I opened the door to see Jake and Billy pulling up. I smiled and waved at them.

"Going somewhere, Lottie?" Billy asked me. I grinned, "I'm going to see Paul and the gang down at Emily's. I'm gonna make some dump cake for them tonight."

"Save me a piece!"

"Oh no. Nope. I don't need you dying on me," Charlie said as he came outside. I grinned and winked at Billy making him chuckle as I walked by to my truck. I waved to Jake who only nodded to me. I smiled sadly with a sigh and got into my truck and left.

When he heard about me and Paul officially dating, he quit talking to me. He barely acknowledged me anymore. Once I had gotten to Emily's, I was pulled into Paul's embrace. I wrapped my arms around his neck and let his warmth remind me why I would never be alone again.
