Chapter 7

I closed my eyes and an extreme warmth flooded my body, more specifically in my heart. Little by little the warmth turns into a feeling of security, a feeling of trust.

"You feel it?"

I nodded and kept my eyes closed, I don't want to lose this feeling.

"May I know what you are feeling?"

I kept my eyes closed. "First I felt warmth in my heart, now a sense of security invaded me"

I heard him mutter in agreement

"Well"

I opened one eye and looked at him. "Yes?" I looked at him expectantly.

"Yes, Percy. You're feeling the same way I feel. "I smiled widely and ran to hug him.

"Apollo! I made it! " Apollo laughs as he hugs me.

"Yes and surprisingly fast" We pulled away a bit but still hugging.

"Seriously? I have to say it has to be because of the teacher "

Apollo smiles warmly at me.

"I have to say it's because of the student." Apollo looks me in the eye. "You are doing very well, it only took us one week for you to control the flow of loyalty well."

I could feel myself blush as I realized how close I was to Apollo. I walked away from the hug and looked at him smiling.

"If it weren't for your help I couldn't have done anything"

I looked at him without knowing if I should ask him something that I had been wanting to know for a week. "Me.."

Apollo looked at me "What's wrong?"

"I want to know what I would have to feel when they don't have the expected loyalty"

Apollo kept looking at me and smiled sadly at me.

"Since you feel the same as I do when someone is telling the truth, what you should feel when someone is disloyal is as if your whole interior turns cold as if your body turns to ice. And it all depends on the degree of disloyalty, you will also feel lonely and it can hurt. "

I looked at Apollo concerned. "Does a lie ever hurt you?"

Apollo looked at the ground and sighed. "Unfortunately yes, a few times but yes."

I approached Apollo and looked at him asking for permission to hug him. He looked up from the floor and nodded. Quickly close the distance between us and hug him tightly. We held each other for so long that I lost track of time.

"Everything is alright?" I heard a voice behind me, when we heard it we were startled and walked away. I turned around and saw Rhode standing at the entrance to the garden in which we found ourselves practicing power. I looked at her and smiled.

"Yes, Rho. It's all good, I was able to control the loyalty. "

Rhode smiles broadly and comes over to hug me. "When we are alone you are going to tell me that you care." She whispers in my ear so Apollo won't hear. I looked at her and nodded.

After hugging me Rhode went to hug Apollo. As she hugged him I realized that he was surprised by the show of affection. Once the surprise was gone, he returned the hug. As I watch the scene in front of me I couldn't help but smile. I felt someone put his arm around my shoulders giving me a half hug. At first, I tense up but when I see who it was I smile.

"Everything okay, little brother?" Triton looks at me with a raised eyebrow.

I smiled at him and nodded to where Rhode was talking to Apollo.

"Apollo is getting the famous 'Rhode-Mother', he doesn't know what he got into." Triton when he heard me and saw the scene in front of us started to laugh and I couldn't help but join him, laughing.

Hearing us, Apollo and Rhode looked at us and approached us.

"What's wrong with them? Did they finally lose what little sanity they had? " Hearing Rhode, we laughed louder. Rhode shakes his head and hits us. "You are idiots."

Apollo looks at us amused, then looks at Rhode. "This is normal?"

"Unfortunately yes, with this I live every day"

"But you can't deny that you love us" I say smiling.

"You're right" Rhode looks at us and smiles.

"I almost forgot, I came to tell you that mom said that today we are going to have lunch all together, nothing to miss lunch" She looks at us seriously. "And Apollo you are invited"

"It is not necessary, I can come ..."

"The invitation is a formality, what Rhode means is that they are communicating that you are going to have lunch with us" says Triton while smiling.

Apollo laughs. "In that case, it is an honor to stay for lunch"

"Something happened?" Rhode looks at me with a raised eyebrow. "Why does mom want us to have lunch together?"

"No, she says we didn't have lunch together all week."

I nodded. "Okay"

"I'm going to find Mom, but remember it's half an hour before lunch." Rhode started to walk away. "Percy or Triton, can one tell Dad?"

Triton and I looked at each other.

"I'm going, let Perce stay with Apollo," Triton says as he walks away with Rhode.

"See you "

We stood side by side looking where they went. I glanced at Apollo.

"Are you OK?"

Apollo smiles at me. "Yes I'm fine now"

"I'm glad" I turn around and look at the garden. We were not in the family garden, but we were in one that is very beautiful. "One day I have to take you to my favorite garden"

"Your favorite garden?" Apollo says as he raises an eyebrow.

"Yes, it is the family garden. Only we or the people we invite can enter "

Apollo looks at me smiling. "It would be an honor to go with you"

"Maybe after lunch?"

"I would like"

He smiles at me and when I see his smile I feel the same warmth as before in my heart and stomach.

"After lunch" I say smiling "Do you want to go to the dining room and on the way will I show you any of the parts of the palace?"

Apollo smiles broadly and nods his head. I grab his arm to lead him into the opposite corridor that Triton and Rhode had gone through.

"The dining room is on this side of the palace. Triton went to find Dad at his office and Rhode is probably looking for Amphitrite who must be there "

We walked to the other side of the garden in silence. Once we entered the palace, I pointed out the entire area.

"This side of the palace is the family side. It's usually just us, our close guests, and the guards. " I tell him while smiling. "If one day you have to stay in the palace, you would stay on this side"

Apollo smiles at me as he looks down the hallways, we start walking to the right side. "Do you like being here?"

"Yes, I never thought that I would think of the palace as my home, but one day I woke up and realized that I was at home. So yeah, I like it. "

"I'm very happy, you deserve it" Apollo smiles at me widely and I feel warmth in my stomach. "And you get along very well with your family, don't you?"

I laugh softly. "Yes. That I did not expect. After the first time I saw Triton and Amphitrite I never thought we were going to get along. But Triton became one of my best friends and Amphitrite a second mother. I did not know Rhode and I am delighted that she is my sister. " I decided not to mention Pegasus and Kym because Apollo had seen them with us the entire time he was in Atlantis.

"Well, after all, they are going to be your family for all eternity."

I laughed out loud. "Yes" I look at him and smile. "You are also going to be part of my family"

Apollo looks at me with a glint I can't make out in his eyes. "If you accept me, with pleasure."

"For me it would be an honor. From the first time we met, I considered you part of my friends or family. "

"Me too" He looks at me smiling. "I may not have been able to prove it because of the stupid laws, but I always considered you someone close to me."

I smile at him. "I could see, you were one of the gods who helped me the most in the missions."

Apollo smiles at me and wraps his arms around my shoulders. We continue walking in comfortable silence.

"I did not explain it to you but on the right side, where we are, is the dining room, the living rooms, the private offices of all of us, and some guest rooms." I tell him while looking at him. "On the left side are the family rooms, there are guest rooms and we also have rooms that each of us uses for different things"

Apollo nods his head as he listens to me.

"And if I had to stay here, which side would I stay on?"

"On our side, surely one of the rooms closest to ours" I say smiling at him. "Why?"

Apollo looks at me and smiles.

"Today I will surely stay here"

I looked at him happily. "Seriously?!"

"Yes!"

I smile and hug him.

"Today I am going to show you the entire palace." Looked at him. "If you want"

"Yes I want"

We walked a bit more until we reached the dining room. I hear voices from the inside. As I open the door, I see Amphitrite, Rhode, and Kym sitting at the table talking. Hearing the door open they raise their heads and look at us. Kym gets up and walks towards us.

"Percy!" She says as she hugs me. Apollo looks at us confused. "Apollo, nice to see you, we haven't seen each other in years, literally" I laugh when I hear her.

"Apollo, I'm glad you decided to stay for lunch with us. Amphitrite says as she walks over to hug Apollo. "How was the training?"

"Very good, Mom Amphitrite. I was able to feel the loyalty of the people "

Amphitrite looked at me excitedly and hugged me. "Congratulations, Percy."

We all went to sit down, seeing that Apollo is going to sit in Triton's chair I got up from my chair.

"I'm going to leave my chair to Triton, I sit in Triton's and you sit next to me. What do you think? Apollo nods and sits where I told him. Once seated he raises an eyebrow.

"You have no idea what a scandal Triton can make if they occupy his chair," Rhode says before I can speak. Apollo laughs.

"Hear my name?" Triton says entering with dad. Seeing that I am sitting in his chair, he raises an eyebrow, I shrug my shoulders, he looks at me for another second and sits in what is always my chair.

"Triton told me that you could already control loyalty." My father says as he sits in his chair. I looked at Triton and raised an eyebrow.

"What? Do not look at me like that"

"Couldn't you wait for me to tell him?"

"I didn't know it was a secret"

I shook my head as I smiled.

"Uncle P, I wanted to ask you if I can stay over here." Apollo spoke after a while.

"Of course you can. After eating, Percy will take you to your room."

I looked at my father and raised an eyebrow without knowing which room to take him to.

"The one that is closest to yours"

I nodded.

Are we waiting for someone? Because there is one more plate "

"Yes, we are waiting ..."

"Me" says Pegasus interrupting Rhode. "Sorry for being late, mom. I was far away when the message got to me "He said as he sat in his chair.

"It's okay, honey," Amphitrite says smiling at him.

"Hello dad, Apollo, sisters" says Pegaso smiling, then he looks at Triton and me smiling more widely. "Brothers, then I have to tell you something"

"I feel like I'm missing something, I don't know anyone who looks like that except Percy" Apollo says as he looks at Pegasus and then looks at me.

Pegasus hits his head. "Sometimes I forget. I am Pegasus "

Apollo's eyes widen in surprise. But, Pegasus is a pegasus "

Triton, Pegasus, and I laughed.

"Yes, I have two aspects. The pegasus look which is how everyone knows me. And this aspect is what I spend time with my family. "says Pegaso smiling.

Apollo nods and looks back from Pegasus to me. "You look the same"

"Yes, you should have seen the first time we scared Delphin"

Triton and Papa laughed out loud.

"You should have seen the situation, I think they traumatized him."

Amphitrite and Rhode shook their heads while smiling. Kym was looking at us with a frown.

"Do you want to tell me why you don't invite me when you scare Delphin?"

"Hey!" We said at the same time. Triton grabbed a piece of bread and tossed it to her.

I looked to my side and I saw that Apollo was looking at us happily, when he saw that I was looking at him he looked at me and smiled widely. I felt the heat in my chest again and I realized that the last time I had felt it was the first weeks of my relationship with Annabeth when I was in love with her. At this very moment I realized two things: First I have feelings for Apollo and second, I am completely screwed.
