Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Shinobi Soulmates. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own TMNT, Nick and a few others do.
Ayden rushed through the base, stopping only to engage a Kraang droid here or there. Their presence was beginning to become more vexing then terrifying. They were monsters who could be destroyed, but they were still numerous.
The danger of also taking a single bolt and dying didn't help. His only advantage seemed to be the vial. The Kraang didn't dare shoot him because of the contents of it.
"I must escape." Ayden stated as he shook his head once more. "These Kraang are more dangerous at the moment then I assumed." Ayden added while he cracked his neck and hummed.
He kept his hands free from his sword. He turned over his shoulder to look at the Kraang Droids who pursed him. He sighed and could only ponder how to escape.
He had to find an exit and escape this location. There had to be an opening that the Kraang escaped out into the city.
"Blasted monsters." Ayden muttered while he shook his head once more. "They need to have an escape route in the advantage of getting out early in an emergency." Ayden muttered as he hung a left.
He did however, start to see somewhat of an end to this nightmare. There was an elevator at the end of the hallway, Ayden guessed that there was an advantage.
It was better then spending hours running in circles in this blasted maze of a complex. Ayden turned to the Kraang.
"Do you EVER grow tired of this?" Ayden asked and drew his sword again. "Fine, you can find death with my blade." Ayden said and pivoted.
The sudden change in momentum carried his blade through the first machine. The second he smashed his stolen rifle into. He knew very well the weapon was betterer against the Kraang then his bare hands would.
The first droid collapsed to the ground; another went to smash his face into the ground. Ayden backflipped away and retreated into the elevator.
"Stop that which is known as human!" One of the Kraang yelled as the lift started.
One of them fired a shot which Ayden barely dodged, the mark shattering the metal behind him. The stink of ozone clouded the air.
Ayden simply allowed the lift to carry him up and out of the base while he sheathed his sword. If he ever had to visit another of these horrid bases? It would be with as much backup as possible. A single Foot Ninja was quick, but covering ground rapidly?
No, that was not a task you would assign a single warrior, not unless it was a short amount of distance.
He sighed and looked down at the vial that he had managed to steal. The Kraang had sent a small army after him to retrieve. If it was valuable to have a small battalion of soldiers to steal back? Then it was far too good for him to give up.
Yes, a gem like this would help him defeat the mutants, regain the honor that the Foot Clan had lost.
"Those monsters had taken Master Shredder's honor once…" Ayden said and held up the vial in his hand. "But now? They will know fear, destruction… And death." Ayden muttered as he turned to vanish into town.
He needed to lay low, the base had the advantage of being discreet, out of the way for him to enjoy fighting… But the city? Ayden knew it would only be a matter of time till a prying eye or other such managed to spot him.
And then it would be a massive amount of police hunting him. Yes, things would be interesting… But he still needed to think of what to do next. They would come for him sooner or later.
"I should return to the shadows… Think of another move to throw them off my tracks." Ayden muttered to himself and shook his head.
"There will be far more time to think sooner when I get out of this location." Ayden added and vanished into the shadows.
He could only ponder what the future brought for him and his clan. But hopefully? It wasn't with the mutants holding him back. He could think about what happened sooner or later soon enough.
There would be times for that soon enough. Ayden shook his head and then looked to the side.
He started to climb through the jungle of concrete. There were moves to be made, plans to be thought of… And the longer he stayed around here? The more he would be at danger. There was time enough for this soon enough.
Ayden clutched the vial in his hands, curious about what this vial would bring.
Perhaps new soldiers, a new army of Foot Soldiers who would march gloriously through the muck.
He twirled his sword on his hip. Opportunity would come.
He didn't know if he was strong enough.
