CH. 7
Friday 8 September, Evening/ Cloudy
Reverie
Gloria's Room
"Could you please take me back to the Wild Area with you?" Gloria asked out o the blue with a decided expression,
"Come again?" Hop asked the girl perplexed.
"I want you to take me, which you, what it's so hard to understand about it?" said Gloria irritated.
"Calm down, yes I did understand what you mean, but why? Why this sudden change?" Hop said while he defensively raised his hand.
"Why this sudden change of opinion Gloria, did something happen at the hospital?" Hop asked hesitantly.
"..." Gloria lowered her head, she answered Hop's question with a silent nod.
"As I thought..." Hop said with a pained expression on his face.
After a second of silence, Gloria finally speaks up,
"... When I ran to the hospital this afternoon, I had to wait outside the operation room, as the operation to save her was still in progress," Gloria started narrating.
...
"Miss Gloria, your mother is no longer in a life treating!" Gloria recalled the doctor telling her.
"The quick intervention made it possible for us to save her, but still...", the doctor had a moment of hesitation as Gloria and Sonia were thanking him.
"We still could not figure the cause of her malaise, and plus it seems that the issue might be psychological, but the strange thing, as said by one of the paramedics, is that on the way to the hospital while she was still unconscious, your mother keeps repeating the word 'Darkest Den'",
Upon hearing those words, Gloria's eyes wides in a stupor.
"What!" Hop exclaimed in surprise and shock.
"Darkest den, you mother...", you and Hop were at a loss for word.
"..."
"Y-you are saying that somehow your mother..."
"Yes, she is already knew about that place, maybe she has already been in the Darkest Den." Gloria calmly confirmed.
"Yes... I couldn't believe it either... even thought..." Gloria continued reporting the event of this afternoon.
"No injures?" Sonia asked confused at the doctor's affirmations.
"Yes... I mean there are no injuries on the physical level, but the body registered a physical trauma nevertheless, and there is no sign of fight or injuries caused by a blunt, sharp object or firearm injuries.
"That's unbelievable..." said Sonia.
"We suspected a psychological trauma at this point, but even our neurologist can say that for sure, I'm deeply apologize for that I can't give a reassuring answer regarding the safety of your mother, miss.", the doctor told Gloria apologetically.
Gloria ended her story.
Silence befalls once again in the girl's room,
"The symptoms he described you...", this time you are the one breaking the silence.
"Are the same symptoms you get after taking damage in the Darkest Den..."
Gloria nodded, "As soon as I heard that I knew, that has to be it!"
"I know that I'm being selfish for asking you to bring me back there, after all the drama that I cause, I even know that my recent relationship, which my parent wasn't the best... still..." tear started to swell the girl's eyes.
"She is the only mother I have, and I don't want to lose her too, this is why I ask you, please bring me along with you." Gloria was now crying as she couldn't stop the overflow of tears.
"... Fine." Hop got closer to her and pulled her toward him, so he could hug and comfort her.
"You can come with us, but only if you promise that you will follow our orders and stay behind us all the time!" Hop told her.
"T-thank *sniff* y-you guys, really *sniff* appreciate it." Gloria found comfort between Hop's arms as she tried to stop herself from crying countless time, you stood in you place watching the two friend's arm in arm, you see the face of Gloria and you felt her sorrow,
"Gloria...".
Later
This Mysterious Feeling
After giving the good night to both Hop and Gloria, and promised to plan the excursion to the Den tomorrow morning, together with Aion, you go you separate ways.
As you were approaching your room you notice Aion, standing in front of you door.
"Aion?" you call the a the boy.
"Oh, there you are," he said with his stony voice.
"Were you looking for me?" you asked surprised.
"Yes, regarding the matter of the Darkest Den, do you guys have the same decision as yesterday?" Aion asked.
"If yes, then im sorry I ha-"
"Well... you see a lot have happened since this afternoon." you interrupted him.
"Explain?" the boy asked you with a curious expression.
You spent five minute circa, filling him on the recent events,
"Since the doctor could find the cause of harm, she decided to search it for herself in the Dakest Den, with us escorting her of course.", you concluded.
Aion at first remained silent, but he eventually say something.
"The moment she knew about her mother, she completely changed her idea..." Aion pondered with a confused expression on his face.
"Yes, of course, wasn't that obvious?" you ask him.
"... Anyway, since im tired and you guys agreed to go back, lets meet tomorrow to make our plans.", after that, he said goodbye, and he turned away.
"Goodnight then." you told him before entering you room, and prepare to head to bed
Saturday 9 September, Early Morning/ Cloudy
Iwatodai Dorm
You wake up and go to the canteen, where the both Hop and Gloria were already waiting for you to come.
"Good Morning!" Hop greeted with is always there, sassy attitude.
"... Morning." Gloria's greeting was more reserved and gloomy than her always gentile and kind greeting, but you understand that yesterday's events still lingers on her shoulder.
"Good Morning!", you greeted them in return.
Later during breakfast, as you were discussing of the next to come trip to the Darkest Den, Aion approaches you table with his food on the canteen tray,
"Morning." the alien, greeted you.
"Hey! Good Morning!", you greeted him back.
"Wassup!" said Hop.
"... Hey..." Gloria reluctantly greeted him.
"Lets get to the point already, shall we?" Aion, sits next to you.
"I was informed yesterday by Victor, that you guys changed your mind."
"..."
"Yes, somehow the mother of Gloria was involved in all these mess, and now she's in a life-threatening situation, and apparently her illness is tied to the Darkest Den." Hop explained, while Gloria stayed silent.
"Actually, we noticed that the symptoms the doctor gave to Gloria were the same you and Victor suffered during our fight against Shadow Leon in the Darkest Den, do you know anything about it?" Hop asked Aion.
"..." Aion thought for a moment in silents, before giving Hop is answer.
"As I said last time, being an outsider make it difficult for me to understand, thus to explain..."
"You guys have to see it for yourself, probably you will understand the nature of that place better as I do, since that place is tied to human psyche." concluded Aion.
"Is that so..." said Hop a little disappointed.
"Basically, we are the only one that can find out what is wrong which Gloria's mother.", you thought.
"Anyway, since you decide to return there together, we need to make preparations before heading to the Wild Area." Aion declared.
"Hop, Victor, like you two, I possess a Pokesoul as well, but by now you should have notice that you can depend on only that, when we first meet I was carrying a spear around right?"
"Ehm, yes, why do you ask?" Hop asked confused.
"It might be in your best interest to get yourself a weapon which you can use to defend yourself, in case you couldn't summon your Pokesoul." Aion explained,
"Plus, it would be wise to bring which us some drinks and some aspirin."
"I mean... getting the drinks and aspirin will probably not be hard, but what about weapons?" Hop remarked,
"Where did you get your weapon? And aren't we gonna look extra suspicious if we just walked around with some weapons in plain sight?"
"Is that so, then nevermind, leave it to me the task to obtain them." said Aion,
"As for where i got them, I can't tell you that, the person that gave me the spear, make me promise to not tell anyone." said Aion.
"Oh, alright." Hop said, although skeptic, upon hearing those words, you and Hop, and probably even Gloria had the same thought, and that was 'That's strange...'
Morning/ Rainy
After breakfast, you decided to head out to the Wild Area, not long after you finished eating, the sky became murkier and it started raining, you and the others picked up you umbrellas and were ready to finally leave, you were waiting only Aion to show up.
On the TV of the common area, they were giving what seemed like a special report,
" We want to remind our spectators of the day of the Memorial of the earthquake of Wyndon, that 17 years ago hit the economic center of Galar, causing a large amount of damage to the city and reclaiming 1200 on that day."
"Right, today is a commemorative day." Hop said upon hearing the word of the news reporter.
"The Earthquake of Wyndon, I heard about it too." you said.
"It apparently happened some few months after I was born, truly terrifying.", you added.
"Yeah, thankfully restoration and reconstruction were so efficient that today is impossible to notice the sign of the disaster on the city, but many lost they loved one, on that they." said Gloria
"... Hey, what do you say if we give them a moment of silence." propose the girl.
You three decided to mourn the losses of the earthquake with a minute of silence.
The Earthquake of Wyndon was one of the latest tragedies, together with the terror attack of 7 September that scared the security and peace of the city since the end of the Great World War.
After finishing, you mourning you got back at waiting for Aion, while continuing watching the special memorial service.
AION POV
Aion was in his room talking on his phone which someone,
"Understood, the weapon will be delivered at that place, anything else?", the compose voice of a man could be heard on the other end.
"No, that should be it, thank you very much." Aion answer adamantly.
"But then again... you discover other kids with your same power in such a short period of time, that's surely incredible." the voice said with quite the glee.
"Yeah, it absolutly surprising."
"Anyway, I shall not waste your time any further, I hope they can help you discover something about your past."
"Thanks, I will contact you once we are back, Mr. Pendragon."
"Stay save them."
And which that Aion ended the phone call, and started to proceed toward the common area were he will be meeting with Victor and the others.
NORMAL POV
Heartbeat, Heartbreak
1 Hour later, in a Pharmacy in Winscor.
You together with Aion are buying some Aspirines.
Hop and Gloria had the task to buy some Energy drinks in a discount market in the vicinity, during the ride on the Skybus, Aion explained to us what the difference in effect of the products was.
"Hey Aion, can you repeat me what effect does the Aspirine and the energy drinks have?", you addressed the silver haired boy.
"Sure." Aion replied while you were exiting the pharmacy with what you just bought Aspirines,
"Basically Aspirine is a recovery for when you are mentally exhausting, and the Energy drink is for when you are physically outworn, the summoning and maintenance of a Pokesouls have a certain toll on the mind and body of his summoner, and if the limit is overcome, you can't recall you Pokesoul anymore." Aion explained to you.
"This leaves you unharmed against the Shadows, and if it's a critical situation well... I don't need to explain it to you, afterall you have being in that situation already."
"Yeah... What a scary situation." you thought while recalling that event.
You meet with the others, and after you putted everything you bought in the backpack you brought with you, you started heading toward the Wild Area.
Later at the gate of the Wild Area.
You in Wonderland
"Welp, here we are again, I guess..." said Hop.
As you were about to enter the amusement park and head toward, you notice that Gloria remained behind you, gazing over the entry gate of the Wild Area, hesitation could be seen all over her face.
"Hey, are you coming or not, you insisted on following us didn't you?" Hop reproached her.
"I-I know stupid!" Gloria replied with tone to Hop, and after that she rushed toward you, pushing both you and Hop aside going ahead of you.
"Ouch! Hey!" Hop lamented.
"Wait, before we head toward the Darkest Den, follow me a second." Aion careless of the bickering of the two, he gets near the cabin at the entrance, the one with show the map of the place.
He opens the only door on the back and makes a sign to you to enter inside, it was a relatively big storage room, and inside there you saw something that you recognized, the spear of Aion, but it wasn't all, there was a sword, a shield and a war axe.
"Woah!" both you and hope were captivated by the realisticness of the weapon in front of you,
"Are this thing real?" Hop was checking the shield, while you were handling the sword.
"... It seems that, was all they could procure in such a short time..." you heard Aion, whispering.
"What was that?" ask Gloria, that despise being near him she did not hear is mumbling.
"Nothing, anyway, those are just imitation of real weapons, but they became real once they are taken in the Darkest Den.", explained Aion.
"Really, they look pretty good to be just imitations," commented Hop.
"Did you choose what you wanted to take?" Aion asked.
"Well, what are you gonna pick?" Hop asked you.
"Uhm, I think this will do the trick.", you replied, showing him the sword.
"Perfect, then Gloria will carry the shield, and I will pick the axe with for myself," said Hop.
"Since you can't be in the front lines, it would be wise for your to carry it which you." Hop immediately backed up is a decision with this affirmation.
"... Fine, give it here.", at first Gloria made a face of total disagreement, but since she could found anything to tackle in Hop's argument, she just gave up and agreed with him, accepting the shield with reluctancy.
"Alright now that we are done, let's head toward the Darkest Den.", and which that said, you nod and followed Aion toward the Darkest Den attraction.
You arrive at the black manor, before you enter the Darkest Den from the portal that as usual activates as you get near it, but before you could leap on to the other side. Hop takes a few seconds to remind everyone of our objective,
"Remember guys, our current main goal is to find the cause of Aunty's illness, and stop it, and to do, so we shall head toward the facility, Aion told us about, are you ready?" Hop asked at the end.
"Yes." Aion stoically responded.
"I'm ready." you answeared.
"I-" Gloria hesitates a bit, "I'm also ready." she say at the end regaining composure.
"Alright, then, let's go, everyone!" with that said, everybody one by one leaps inside the portal.
Locked Doors
Upon landing, you immediately notice something off with the setting, as matter of fact it was raining, it was raining in the Darkest Den.
"Hey... Aion, is this normal?", you promptly asked the boy near you.
"What? It is?"
"The rain, is it normal? It is normal for it to happen." retorted Hop.
"Well yes, even if it's rare, it has already happened two or three times," replied Aion.
"What is the big deal, it rains in your world too doesn't?"
"Well yes, is normal in our world, but..." you and Gloria look at each other with worried expressions, as Hop was talking.
"Is it in any way toxic or harmful?" you finally ask him.
"No, it isn't, at least in my short period of time, exploring this place, it never hindered me." Aion replied once again.
"Oh! Fine, if you say so, we trust you.", said Hop, with a smile of trust on his face.
"Ok, now that this issue is out of the way, you can start leading us to this facility, Aion." Hop said enthusiastically.
Aion looks his surroundings for a second, and after successfully locating the landmark he was searching for, he started walking toward that direction.
"Follow me." he said.
As you were about to leave, you noticed a velvet glass door appearing out of nowhere near you, both Gloria and Hop, and eventually even Aion himself seemed to have not noticed the out of place door, that just appeared.
The glass door opens, and you heard a female voice calling you from within, it was Klara's.
"My master would like to exchange words, which you before the beginning of your adventure"
Poem of Everyone's Soul
"Wait...could this door really..." although which a bit of hesitation you pass through the door anyway, this causes your mind to go blank, but awakens shortly after in the Velvet Room, as always Oak was sitting in front of you with Klara near him.
"It seems that your journey is about to begin soon, very well indeed." Oak complimented you.
"I called you here for a reason, dear guest, you might remember that I once told you that you weren't only blessed with a Pokesoul, but also have the skill named Type Null to assist you during your journey." Oak explained.
"Seems that this ability will come in handy this time around, this is why we would like you to carry this around.", and with that said Klara, handed you a red and white sphere, this sphere was divided in two, which the upper part being red while the lower part was white, it had a white button in the center.
"What is that?" you asked.
"Shadow are creatures born from the unconscious of mankind, they are the darkest and hidden aspects of someone's personality, thus they behave with hostility and ferociousness toward humans." Klara giggled,
"But Shadows can be put under one's control and be tamed, and this task can only be done by people with a particular power, and that ability being the Type Null, a person with the Type Null as the power to form alliances through sheer power of will, Shadows,
"Therefore turning them in Pokesouls, the representation of humanity's soul and valor, allowing you to seek their power in moments of need." Klara concluded.
"So which this I can control the Shadows?"
"Don't be ridiculous, if you want the aid of Shadows, you have to gain their trust before, no Shadow will be stupid enough to follow somebody without a grain of willpower.", although sounding aggressive, Klara replied your question with a smile on her face, making the undertone passive aggressive.
"Ehm, sorry..." you apologize perplexed.
"Anyway, before you return to your companions, I want you to bear in mind that what your are searching in the world of the Shadows is not only a method to save someone's life, but your are searching for an 'evidence to absolve humanity' to use it in the upcoming 'trial' to save mankind from condemnation." Oak warns you.
"With that said, I wish you a luck in your upcoming journey and research, until we meet again farewell."
Your mind gets hazier for a moment, only to be awakened by the voice of Gloria shortly after.
Locked Doors
"Hey Victor! Is everything alright?" Gloria was shaking you worried that something happened to you.
Snapping out of your suppose state of trance, you answered the girl,
"Ehm, yes im im fine..."
"Geez, don't startle us like that, just standing the emotionless, you really scared me.", the girl reproached you.
"But I- I mean the door..." you notice that Gloria wasn't aware of the door near you.
"Uh? What door?" the girl asked you confused.
"Wait... is i possible that im the only one to be able to see it?", you instantly thought.
"Hey, is everything alright, you guys!" Hop yelled, it seems that neither him nor Aion even could see the velvet door.
"Well, in that case..."
"Nevermind, sorry for worrying you.", you reassure the team.
"Alright then, lets move on.", said Hop shortly after.
"Ye- uh?!" you felt something in your jacket pocket, after you took it out of your pocket you find out that, it was a spherical object, the same one you got from Klara in the Velvet Room.
"So I wasn't dreaming..." you said, "According to Klara, this is supposed to help me tame those Shadows..."
"Victor, if you don't hurry, we're gonna leave you behind!" Gloria yelled at you, she seemed pretty annoyed by your continuing spacing off.
"Sorry! Let's go!" you put back the sphere in your backpack, and you rushed toward your friend to join them.
As you were walking, you kept noticing the scenario change of scenario, apart from the rain, you started spotting more and more ponds around you, and as you kept progressing toward the designed place, the more desert like scenario changed little by little in a more aquatic one, now the puddle were becoming more like pond and lakes.
You continued onward till you reached a point where you had to stop because of an actual sea that appeared in front of you, differently from the lake from the oasis you landed from, this was a large sea and it seemed to be endlessly, since you could see were it ended.
Who is there?
"Wait... where is the facility supposed to be?" Hop asked Aion as he tried to spot a man made building.
"Th-this sea..." the adamant Aion was confused and lost.
"This sea wasn't here before," he finally told you with a horrified expression.
"What?! What do you mean there wasn't a sea here?" Gloria asked.
"The isn't supposed to be a sea here, the wasn't anything here before." Aion explained to you.
"Are you for real?" Hop asked astonished.
"The facility was supposed to be right ahead of us, but this..." Aion was in a struggle to find words.
"A-are you sure we didn't just take the wrong path?" Gloria desperately ask.
"No, im sure this is the right path, im familiar with the path we took, but still..." from the very first time you see Aion, stressed expression.
As you were standing under the rain thinking about what to do, a presence appeared behind your back, and you didn't notice until you heard its emotionless voice.
"You need to head toward the island..." the voice startled you and you friend as you quickly grab your weapons ready to fight whatever the treat was, but which your biggest surprise, you instantly chased hostility as what you saw shock you even more, as the one in front of you was someone you knew very well, the person in front of you was no one else than Gloria herself.
"..."
"Wh-what the h-heck!" Gloria yelled in horror and fear.
The Gloria in front of you, just like the previous Shadow Leon and Hop, she looked like the original one, with one exception, the eyes, her or its eyes, had the unnatural yellow glowing color that distinguished from they real counterpart.
"Is that a Shadow?!" Hop said which uncertainty even knowing already the answer.
"..." Gloria was shocked and scared as she watched her doppelganger staring her in silent,
Althougth she seemed to be innocuous, you, Hop and Aion, returned in position of defense,
"Wha- what do you want?" you ask the Shadow.
"..." Shadow Gloria remained in silence, wearing her apathetic expression.
"Ehm..." you tried to ask her again, but she then made a sudden movement with her arm, pointing toward her right side.
"Head toward that way... always go straight till you come across a bridge... that bridge will take you toward your destination..." and after she said that, she suddenly disappeared.
"W-WAIT WHO ARE YOU! WHY DO YOU LOOK LIKE ME!" shouted Gloria, that regained her usual facade, only after her Shadow version had vanished already.
"What the hell just happened! Who was that? Why did she look identical to me?" asked Gloria, perturbed.
"In short, what you just see was your Shadow self, a part of you." Aion explained to her.
"What?"
The girl seemed more and more confused, as Aion explained to her the difference between the Shadow Gloria and the other Shadows she meet on her first visit in the Darkest Den, using the incident of Shadow Leon as an example.
"... You are saying that I could have created it?" Gloria sounded incredulous, as she said does words.
"That's impossible." she added then.
"Leaving that aside, she said that if we wanted to reach our destination..." Aion repeated the words of the girl.
" 'Always go straight till you come across a bridge.', a bridge...", you repeated after the girls words.
"Hey, what do you think about it? Shall we trust her?" Hop asked you.
"Well, one thing is sure we can't continue on this path anymore." Aion affirmed.
"Then I would say to give it a try.", you told to the two boys.
"Together with the bridge, she mentioned 'your destination' if is the same thing I am thinking of then this bridge will probably take us to the facility.", said Aion.
"If is that is the case, then let's go already!" Hop remarked.
"Come on, Gloria, lets go!" Hop called out to his friend that seemed to be the least enthusiastic of this idea.
"I-i im..." Gloria mumbled.
"I now what you want to say, but you don't have to worry, trust me." Hop reassured the girl, giving her a pat on her shoulder.
Gloria was still visibly confused, but she nodded in agreement.
"Ok now, lets search for that bridge." and which that you team set off.
Locked Doors
Later, after a while of running under the rain.
You finally arrive to the bridge, and you instantly notice that it was connecting to a visible island on the horizon, the rain make it a bit hard to spot, but you could clearly see it's silhouette in the middle of the sea.
"Whoa!" Hop and Gloria both exclaimed.
"It seems that Shadow wasn't lying..." said Aion.
You resume you journey as you cross the bridge of stone, the sea around you was fairly agitated but, the stability of the bridge made it an easy trip, and shortly after you arrived at the island without harm.
Upon arriving, the team runs into a gray cave entrance,
"This place... is full to the brim with Shadows!" declared Aion.
"What! Are you serious?" asked him Hop.
"Pratically, the reason why we didn't meet any until know is because they seemed to have take refuge inside here, in this cave,"
He was right, as a matter of fact, you still had to encounter any Shadow.
"Why did the Shadow reunite here? What is happening here?" thought Aion.
"Well, it seems that this is the only way we can use to proceed onward... " you said.
"Shall we get going, probably the answers to our questions lays in this cave."
"Before we enter, Gloria-" Hop was about to warn is friend one more time, but the girl seemingly annoyed, interrupted him before he could even finish.
"Yes, I know already, look i already promise, didn't I?"
"Well, if you say so, I don't have to add anything else, come on, let's go." Hop declared with a smile, after that you entered the cave.
The Days When My Mother Was There
Inside the cave was wet and humid, the falling rain find is way inside.
The cave had an unnatural geoformation, the inside cave was gray, and although most of the ground and the walls was plain and flat, some blunt oval rocks with multiple holes sticked out, they were disseminated allover the cave.
"Woah, I never seem something like that..." Gloria murmed in amazement.
"Right, there is no way a place like this exists in our world.", added Hop.
The cave, although bizarre it was beautiful nevertheless.
While you were captivated by the beautiful panorama, a big puddle in your vicinity started acting up, the water inside started agitating, causing you to get in state of alert.
"... I sense four Shadows, be ready to fight..." Aion warned as.
"At last eh, Gloria stay behind me." Hop seemed to be thrilled at the idea of fighting.
"Y-yes..." Gloria quickly hide behind yours and Hop's back.
You suddenly feel a flow of energy in your body that was all heading toward you right hand.
"Here the come!" Aion warned as for the second time.
Wait and See
Four blue figure jumped out from the gush of water, the bipedal Shadows had a spherical body and a black and white swirl covered their bellies.
"Poliwhirl!" they shouted as a battle cry, before they all throw themself toward your direction.
One attacked Aion that skillfully avoided the attack, and countered with his spear, it's attack seemed powerful , but it seemed to have not damaged it significantly.
Hop prepared to summon is Pokesoul,
"Sceptile, lend me your help.", he shouted, while is green Pokesoul emerged from is back.
"Blow them away with Lufta!" the boy ordered Sceptile to attack the Shadow in front of him with his wind attack, to which the Pokesoul complied by creating a sharp gust with the leafs on his two arms.
The blow landed without damaging the Shadow, significantly thought.
The other two that avoided the attacks so far attacked you altogether one by one, but you were able to block their attacks and repel them with you sword.
"It seems that their element is water," communicated Aion,
"Hey, Victor, I'm gonna use Toxtricity, Shadows that have water as an element are normally weak against Volt attacks, summon your Pokesoul too." Aion commanded you.
"Yes! Lucario!" you summon your Pokesoul by biting and throwing midair a blue fruit that had materialized in your right hand.
"Toxtricity, Multi Volt.", a series of lightning lands on all four the Shadows, two of the avoided getting struck, one was knocked down, and another that was hit quickly got back on it's fit.
"Victor now!" you followed Aion order and you attack with your Lucario the Shadow that just got up.
"Volt!" unlike Aion, you can generate only one beam of electricity, this one lighting strike down is target defeating him.
"Woah, one down! Way to go!" Hop yelled, from the back row.
Taking advantage of the fact that you had to recollect and plan the next attacks, the remaining two Shadows assaulted Aion, charging him with jets of water that hit him, throwing him behind you, he forcefully lands on his back,
"Eugh-"
"Hey, Aion, are you alright!" you ask him worried.
"Yes, the battle is not over yet concentrate..." Aion told both you and Hop.
"R-right..."
The Shadow that was knocked down got up to retake part in the battle,
"Take this!" yelled Hop, while his Sceptile created a second gust of wind to attack the foes, this time around it seems that the blow of wind made a quiet an amount of damage.
"Hey, it's your turn Victor, go get em!"
Following Hop's lead, you land another hit with Lucario's Volt, killing another one.
"The are only two remained, lets finish this!" you said, as you dodge the jet of water of the two Shadows,
"Let's try the sword shall we...", after dodging the two attacks of the Shadows, you get close to one of them enough to slash it with the sword that you obtained from Aion.
"Ok now the la-" you thoughts and act where stop when you heard a pleading cry.
"Wa-wait Stop, P-PLEASE I BEG YOU! POLIWHIRL!" you stop you sword as the Shadow gotten on his feet, to beg for his life.
Everybody from you group was paralyzed with an expression of surprise on their face, even the inflexible Aion had an expression of surprise and shock after what just happened.
"... D-did that Shadow speak just now?"

Compedex: Sceptile is a mythical beast creature said to be a guardian spirit in Hoennian mythology. Sceptile are holy beasts capable of fighting evil people and cruel demons that have ill intentions toward the forest he is protects. He can repel armies of both demons and humans, and bring serenity and security to his forest.
Many forests in the Hoenn and Sinnoh regions remained up to this day, untouched by modernization, because of the fear of the retaliation of Sceptile and other forest deities like Celebi, the attempt of turning forests in industrial and agricultural ground were made during the Hoenn Industrial Revolution, but for some reason or another they always failed and the responsible always meet a gruesome death, obviously the native always associated these events as the doing of Sceptile, but up to this day the historians see this as just a legend.
