Team HHC was waking up in their dorm when they saw Sean already up with his uniform on.
"Sean, why are you already up?" Chris asked.
"As of recently I've been getting up early," Sean said. "Any way you might want to hurry and get ready."
"Why?" Hailey asked.
"It's 8:30. Class starts in thirty minutes," Sean said. This shocked the rest of the team so they scrambled trying to get their stuff on. Soon they were finished.
"Alright what time is it?!" Chris asked.
"Well it's 8:40 we'll be there early today" Sean said. The team went into their first class which was Grimm Studies with Professor Port. Sean was a little excited cause he only knew the bare minimum of Grimm. If only he knew. When they made it to the classroom they opened the door and they noticed they might be one of the first ones there. When the class started they realized the rough ride they were in for.
"Monsters! Deeeeeemons... Prowlers of the night. Yes the creatures of grimm go by many names, but i like to refer to them as prey," Port laughed with no one else laughing with him. "Uhh... And soon you will too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now as I was saying: Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses..." He gave Yang a wink, which she found uncomfortable. "Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world!" one of the students cheered with everyone looking at him. He sat back down embarrassed. "That is what you are training to become. But first: A story. A tale of a young, handsome man... Me! When I was a boy..." That was when the team stopped listening. While the others were thinking about other things, Sean was thinking about how disappointed he was with this class, but those thoughts stopped quickly when he started thinking about the syndicate. That team was one the strongest evil groups he ever made, especially the leader. That could cause some severe problems if they were the ones they have to deal with. He also thought he might have to tell team RWBY and JNPR too. He decided once he knew who they were dealing with he would tell everyone. That's when he heard "So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?" he then saw Weiss raise her head and say "I do sir!"
"Well, then, let's find out!" Port said as he gestured toward a cage he somehow got in there. The cage had glowing red eyes indicating that there was something inside it. Weiss whent to get changed, however the creature (which was a Boaratusk) inside was becoming more restless. Before Weiss got back it broke out, and eyed Team HHHC. Port was reaching for his weapon when It started charging at them which caused them to dodge. Ruby Proceeded to call Weiss.
"Ruby, what is it?" Weiss asked annoyed.
"Weiss, you need to come back here right now!" Ruby Yelled into her scroll. "A Grimm is running around the classroom and is attacking Sean and his friends."
"I'll be there as fast as I can!" Weiss said frantically. Back with Team HHHC things weren't so okay. Sean was protecting The rest of team HHHC with a barrier courtesy of his power.
"Do something!" Sean Yelled to the other students. "I can't hold this for much longer!" This was when Dakota had an idea.
"Sean, you can cause illusions right?" Dakota asked.
"Yeah," Sean said. "Why do you ask?"
"On my mark drop the shield and activate your illusions," Dakota said. "Then you, Chris and Hailey run."
"What's he getting at?" Yang said, confused. Everyone waited in anticipation for what was going to happen next.
"NOW!" Dakota Yelled. Sean activated his illusions and they ran. However, Dakota stayed behind and punched the Boarbatusk in one of its eyes, making it cry in agony. Now that it could not detect the others it put all its focus on Dakota. The Grimm roared and rolled(think sonic's spin dash) at Dakota at a high speed, but Dakota dodged just in time making it hit the wall. It was then the creature got a slash to its side from Weiss
"Glad to see you," Dakota said to Weiss which she reciprocated with a hpmh. "Alright, I'll get in a position where you can kill it."
"Are you crazy," Weiss said. "You don't even have a weapon."
"I may not have a weapon on me, but I still know karate," Dakota said with confidence.
"Try not to get yourself killed," Weiss sighed. Both sides charged at each other. The boarbatusk attempted to strike Dakota with its tusks, but it received a swift kick to its lower jaw. Weiss also slashed one of its other eyes.
"Guys flip it over!" They heard Ruby yell. "It's vulnerable on its back!"
Weiss looked over to ruby to scold her, but the boarbatusk struck her first knocking her back and causing her to drop her weapon. Dakota ran in front of the Grimm and grabbed its tusks to stop its advance. During the stalemate between Dakota and the Boarbatusk he started to glow a bright pink once again, and not even a second later, crystals began emerging from the ground again. Also Dakota seemed to feel stronger with every crystal that came out of the ground, strong enough in fact to start to pick up the Boarbatusk. Sean, Weiss, and everyone else looked in shock.
"Weiss!" Dakota exclaimed, getting her out of her trance. "Get your weapon and kill this thing."
Weiss obliged and stabbed it in the stomach, killing it for good. As it faded into nothingness Port came up to them extremely impressed.
"That was one of the more interesting battles I've seen in my life, well done to the both of you," Port said, congratulating them. "We are truly in the prencese of a true huntsman and huntress in training."
As port was discussing what we would be doing for homework Weiss stormed out of the room. Her team was looking worried with the question of "What was with her?". With Weiss, Ruby came up to her and asked.
"What is wrong with you? Why are you being-?"
"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? You're supposed to be a leader, and all you've been so far is a nuisance!" Weiss said, which caused ruby to scoff.
"What did I do!" Ruby Yelled
"That's just it - You've done nothing to earn your position! Back in the forest you acted like a child, and you've only continued to do so!" Weiss yelled back.
"Weiss where is this coming from? What happened to all the talk about 'working together'? I thought you believed in acting as a team" Ruby said.
"Not a team led by you. I've studied and frankly, I deserve better." Weiss said before turning her back to ruby. "Ozpin made a mistake."
Weiss walked away with ruby looking absolutely dejected. Before that, Ozpin and Sean had heard the whole conversation.
"Should we do something about that Ozpin," Sean asked.
"Why don't you have a talk with Miss schnee?" Ozpin said. "I'll handle Miss Rose."
"Alright." Sean said.
Back in the present Ruby looked behind her to see Ozpin right behind her.
"Hmm... now that didn't seem to go very well." Ozpin said.
"Is she right? Did you make a mistake?" Ruby asked on the verge of tears.
"That remains to be seen," Opzin said laughing slightly.
Meanwhile, Weiss was walking around the hall and ended up on a balcony. She had nothing to do so she looked out. It wasn't long before she heard someone behind him.
"Hey, Weiss," she heard Sean Say.
"What do you want?" Weiss asked
"Listen, I just want to talk," Sean said. "I overheard your conversation with Ruby and I-."
"You were eavesdropping!" Weiss yelled visibly angry.
"I was not eavesdropping," Sean said, with an awkward silence emerging for a few seconds. "Okay maybe I was, but that's not the point. The point is I want to know why you are feeling this way." Weiss sighed and began explaining.
"I just don't understand why ruby was picked as the leader instead of me," Weiss said. "I did everything right. I studied, I trained, I did everything you can think of. I deserve it way more than her."
"That's ridiculous," Sean said
"What do you mean 'that's ridiculous'!" Weiss said, starting to get angry.
"I mean it's ridiculous for you to be so hung up on this whole leadership thing," Sean said. "Weiss to be honest your attitude will make people see you as a spoiled brat who has everything handed to them ."
"How dare you!" Weiss was cut off by Sean.
"You're only proving my point Weiss, maybe you should try to not focus on being a leader, but try to focus on being the best person you can be." Sean said and then started to leave. This got Weiss thinking. Maybe she had been harsh on Ruby.
