Jacqui sat up from the ground. "Wasn't aware Shang Tsung made more of you freaks," Jacqui murmured, "Or that he managed to come back from the dead."

"Nonsense," Mileena laughed. "I'm the original. I've been sent to kill you. In return, Outworld will be handed over to the rightful empress. First order of business, declare war on Earth Realm."

Jacqui jumped up from her spot. She shot her leg up to hit the Tarkatan's head. Mileena grabbed Jacqui's foot. She flipped the pregnant woman onto her back. Mileena pulled out her sias.

Takeda wrapped his arm around Mileena's neck. He put his hand on her forehead. Using his telepathy, he knocked her out. He helped his girlfriend back to her feet. "You okay?" Takeda asked.

"Yeah," Jacqui said. She then got another look at the passed-out woman. "She looks like the other revenants. But Quan-Chi is dead. Hanzo Hashasi killed him. How can she be a revenant if he died before he could resurrect her?"

"I'm sure he wasn't the only necromancer," Takeda said. "He might even have had an apprentice. Either way, she's probably not the only one. We need to alert the others of more revenants."

"Agreed," Jacqui said. They ran out of the building. They climbed into Takeda's car. They drove down the road, stopping at Kung Jin's apartment. Jacqui sent him a text, telling him to meet them outside.

Kung Jin exited the building. "What's going on?" Kung Jin asked.

"We have to get to the Special Force's base," Takeda said. "We're being chased by Mileena."

"Mileena is dead," Kung Jin said. "Devorah ate her face. We saw her do it."

"We think she's a revenant," Jacqui said. Kung Jin jumped into the back of the car. They drove off quickly. They barely stayed within the speed limit. They couldn't afford to be pulled over.

Kung Lao's hat entered the windshield. The blade was still moving at height speed. They crashed into a nearby light post. Takeda smacked his head into the stirring wheel. Blood was trickling from his forehead.

Jacqui climbed out of the car. She saw Kung Lao and the bandaged woman's. Jacqui got ready for a fight, but then she saw that the bandages had been mostly torn. The body was mostly burned, but Jacqui recognized her. She doesn't think she would ever forget what that face looked like.

"Cas?" Jacqui asked. Cassie turned around, smirking.

"Miss me?" Cassie asked.
