Chapter 7
White House:
Every morning at the White House Diana would have breakfast with her daughter spending as much time with her as she can. However, this morning was extremely hard on Diana. She needed to tell her daughter that his father is still alive.
Diana looks at her daughter who was sitting right in front of her eating eggs. "Martha" Diana said looking at her daughter as the little girl looked up to her mother.
"Yes mama" Martha said staring at her mother
"Remember what I told you about you father" Diana said as Martha shook her head yes at her mother.
"You said that he was a brave man who gave his life to protect everybody from the bad things in the world" the little girl said looking down sad thinking about her father.
Diana wrapped an arm around her daughter as she began to cry "It is ok my little sun and star, your father was a great man, and he would be proud of you no matter what you did." Diana said hold her daughter close to her
Watchtower
The night before Bruce found a room to lay his head down, he spent most of the night think about Gotham, Diana, Martha, and Selina it was not till about 3:00 am when he fell asleep. He woke up and changed into a new bat suit and made his way to go get breakfast in the cafeteria
As Bruce got his breakfast, he notices superman sitting beside a familiar figure and Bruce made his way over there.
"Batman" the man of steel said as he greets the hero that was walking towards him. "Zatanna and I were just talking about.
Zatanna stands up and gives her old Friend a hug while saying "It is good to see you again, I really missed you"
"What were you talking about before I walked over here" Batman asked as he sat down beside Superman.
"We were discussing a way to send you back to the correct time" Zatanna said "Superman had though that there may be some magic spell that could send you back"
"Zee you know how I feel about magic" Batman stated looking at her
"Still the same old Bruce trusting knowing he does not know" Superman said "Just give it a chance Bruce right now we have no way of sending you back"
"I should go check some old spell books for any information" Zatanna said standing up and walking away leaving the two men by themselves
"So, any plans for today or are you just going to brood all day" Superman said
"Diana invited me to her party tonight" Bruce said "Maybe I might go to it or maybe I will just stay here"
"Bruce, you have to go Diana has missed you for a very long time" Superman said
"She seems to be doing fine without me" Bruce said angrily think about Diana new boyfriend
"I am guessing you met Trevor and you do not like him at all" Superman said "To be honest I am not a big fan of him either, but he made Diana a little less sad"
Bruce thought about what Superman said Diana must have been feeling awful when she thought that he had die, she needs someone there for confront and it was not him
White House:
It was still a couple of hours before the party and Diana were still worry if Bruce would show up, she also still has not told Steve that her husband has came back to life or the fact he was Batman and that she still loved him more than she loved Steve
"Diana" Steve said breaking her from her train of thought "Are you listening to me" he said looking at her
"Sorry, my mind was somewhere else what were you saying" she asked
"I was saying that maybe we should take a break from all this work for a couple of days just you and me" Steve said taking her had in his
Steve you know I can't I have to much work to do and I just cannot take a break from that from all this" She said
"What if I told you take, we would be celebrating the good news we have" He said
"What news" she questioned him
Steve got down on one knee and pulled a box from his pocket "Diana these last couple of months have been wonderful with you, I can not think of anyone else I would want to be with, will you marry me"
