Hello again everyone! I am really sorry that I didn't update yesterday. I just had a lot of homework and I was just watching Godzilla vs Kong! It was really good! Anyways I hope that you like my story so far! And please review so I know what you think of it! And if you ever have a request I will always be willing to hear what you want to say! "T-Tony." Bruce gasped, looking at the Avengers with his orangish greenish brown glowing eyes
"Bruce. Are you okay?" Tony asked as slowly started to walk towards him
"S-stay back." Bruce said as he backed up quickly against the wall "I-I'll b-burn you."
"Bruce." Natasha said as she stepped closer to him "You won't hurt us."
"Y-yes I will Natasha!" Bruce said as he squeezed his eyes shut "I s-saw w-what I did..."
"It wasn't your fault Bruce." Tony stated "The Hulk destroyed stuff because him and Extremis are fighting for control over your body."
"What do you mean?" Bruce asked quietly, opening his eyes a little
"...Extremis, the virus that Aldrich Killian put in you, wants to take control of your body, kind of like a parasite...It wants to infect you until there's nothing but Extremis left...The only reason your not all firey all the time and not exploding is because the Hulk is fighting him...I saw what he did Bruce...he's just trying to get him out of you...but he can't...because it's a virus..." Tony explained slowly and then took a deep nervous breath in "...And if we don't get it out of you in time...you could die..."
Tears pricked at Bruce's eyes, and then they spilled out onto his face as he started to gasp for air
"No. Bruce its okay." Tony said in comfort as he stepped closer to them "I know how to fix this. I will fix this."
"H-how?" Bruce asked
"I'll find a way. Okay?" Tony said
"...Okay." Bruce said after a moment as he calmed down
"Okay." Tony said "Now come on. Let's get you more new clothes and somewhere where you won't burn anything." Tony said as he looked at Bruce who had burned through his shirt, and part of the floor and wall "Come on."
"Bruce. Are you okay?" Tony asked with worry
"Everything hurts." Bruce exclaimed as he squeezed his eyes shut and tears escaped through them
"It's okay. I'm going to fix this. Okay." Tony said comfortably
"O-okay." Bruce stuttered in reply, opening his eyes
"Now come on. Let's go get you some new clothes."
"O-okay." Bruce said quietly as he slowly got up
"Okay." Tony said as he stepped towards him
"D-don't-" Bruce said as he backed away
"I won't touch you." Tony said, holding his hands into the air "I promise...Come on."
Bruce slowly started to walk out of the room, following Tony, Clint, Natasha, Steve, and Thor, towards the elevator, but stayed as far back away from them as he could
"Okay. So where can he go that he won't burn stuff?" Clint whispered to the others without Bruce hearing
"I don't know...I'll probably take him down to the lab so that I can do tests and start developing a cure for it or something." Tony whispered back
"Yeah." Natasha agreed
"I'm just worried about something." Steve said, slowing down a little
"What?" Tony replied
"Did you say he would explode if the Hulk wasn't fighting him?" Steve asked quietly
"...Yeah...if the Hulk wasn't fighting against Extremis Bruce probably would have died by now...I looked at all the tests done when everyone thought I was dead and... barely any people made it through all three stages and lived...they either died before they made it through or exploded sometime after..." Tony explained and everyone was silent
"That's why we need to fix this now." Tony stated after a couple moments as they got into the elevator
"Yeah." Steve agreed and then Tony turned and looked behind him at Bruce who was fidgeting with his hands and slowly following them
"Are you alright Bruce?" Tony asked
"Yeah." Bruce replied quietly, not looking up from his hands
"Okay...Come on." Tony said and Bruce slowly got into the elevator
"This thing has sub levels?" Steve asked as Tony pressed the button with negative one on it
"Only one. The lab." Tony stated as the elevator doors closed and they started moving down
"Why is the lab underground?" Clint asked
"In case an accident happens. Like an explosion or something. With it being underground, it causes less damage to stuff outside of it." Tony replied
"Oh. Okay." Clint said, and then they were silent for the next minute as they got down to the lab
"Okay." Tony said as they all walked out of the elevator into the lab
"This is cool." Clint stated as he looked around at the lab
"Yeah. I know right." Tony replied
"How are you going to get the virus out of him?" Natasha asked quietly after a few moments
"That's what we're here for." Tony replied
