Chapter 6

Ape encounter

Spyro's point of view

After we charged through the enemies that was there, we placed every statue that we could find back into their positions. After that we came into a small tunnel and there were crystals just standing there.

"Ok, I heard of crystals in caves but I've never seen one this cool in my life before, I'm getting a photo first." Alanna said as she used her phone for a picture. "Now we can crack it open."

With a swing of her sword and me clawing at it we broke the crystals, Alanna jerked back a little while I felt some insane energy throughout my body.

"Wooo, that was a weird but satisfying feeling." Alanna said.

"Hey guys what was that about?" Sparx asked.

"I dunno." Alanna answered.

"It told us we had to hit it, and when we did." I started.

"A power of a thousand suns just, surges through our bodies." Alanna finished.

"Right... okay Alanna you should try to get some sleep and Spyro you should really get more sleep better, I should stop bugging you." Said Sparx. "You both really need eight hours of sleep."

"Forget we said anything and lets go." I said.

We made it to the last room, fought a few enemies, placed two statues back to where they belong and then went onto a turn pad. I set it on fire and then it turned us to where Ignitus was.

"That's quite an entrance young ones, there might hope for us yet." He said.

We followed him into the next room where a few crystals were at.

"I'm guessing these are everywhere." Alanna said.

"What are these things?" I asked.

"These are spirit gems." He explained. "A gift from the ancestors."

"What kind of gift." Alanna asked.

"A gift that speaks across generations," He continued. " a gift that empowers you with the spirit of the past, strengthening you with the wisdom of the ages."

"We feel more powerful already." I told him.

We walked through the room after we broke the crystals, Alanna had a feeling so she had her sword out and ready.

"I can hear foot-steps somewhere." Alanna told us in a voice loud enough for us to hear while not attracting danger.

Then we heard something that Ignitus didn't like to hear.

"Do you guys hear that?" He asked us.

"What is it." I asked.

"Is exactly what I feared." He said as he stopped. "Look, you two... perhaps we should turn back."

"What after coming this far?" I cried.

"If this door is closed, there are intruders behind." He explained. "That's how the temple protects itself."

"It doesn't work well now does it?" Asked Sparx in a sarcastic tone.

"What are you saying Ignitus?" I asked.

"What I'm saying is the only way to get the door to open-" He started.

"Don't say it!" Said Sparx.

"If the intruders get their little butts out of there." Alanna finished.

"Didn't I just say, don't say it?" Sparx asked.

Alanna rolled her eyes and swung her sword, and we started to go find enemies to get them out. After that we came back and I turned to look at my left and saw a group of apes came through a hole in the wall. Ignitus jumped to be next to us in defense.

Alanna's point of view

Well dang he came to our defense, but I knew that it might go well but I wasn't going to jinx it.

"Well Ignitus, we nabbed your guardian buddies and your little friend but you manage to escape our clutches... until now..." He said.

Then someone else came from behind, he had green skin with dark gray and blue clothes, his wings matched the colors of his hair and his clothes but his eyes are blue.

"I'll deal with the girl, she's mine." He told the ape.

"Be my guest." He snared at him.

"You might want to stand back on this one Spyro, I guys this new guy is mine." I said.

"Stand back Spyro, and let me show you what a dragon trained in the ancient ways can do."

Ignitus started off with a fire bomb while the guys charged towards me with his sword ready, I put my sword away and grabbed his blade by my hands without cutting myself. I grabbed it out of my hands and kicked it away from him, then he started off with a punch and I manage to grab his fist, I flipped him around and he fell on his bottom.

"OWWW! You little b-." He started as he stand back up again.

"Uh, uh, uh, language." I waved my finger at him.

Then I swung at him at full force, we kept going at ourselves for twenty minutes, until I won, he looked exhausted but I used my ice powers to trap him.

"AHHHH! DAMN IT THAT'S COLD!" He yelled.

I took out my pocket knife and place it towards his neck, the others were shocked of what happened.

"Tch, I don't think I was ever being beaten by a girl apart from my mom." He said coldly.

"Well, you're lucky that I didn't kill you..." I talked back in a dark tone.

"Hey Alanna, when did you learn how to fight?" Asked Spyro.

"Hahaha, uncle Dan taught me since he had a workout punching bag in the basement of their house." I answered.

"Wait, wait, wait... whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, Alanna, the Alanna Crystal Dragoness?" He asked.

"Yeah, how did you know my name?" I asked.

"Well, my aunt talks about you all the time, I never thought that I would meet you," He said.

"How?" I asked.

"While I was growing up, my mom lets her sister take care of me while she's on duty on taking over Hybridnia." He explained.

Ignitus came closer towards us.

"You mean Splendora Dragoness?" Ignitus asked.

"Yes," He answered. "I don't know why but my mom wanted to take over ever since my aunt became queen."

"Let you know that I can tell if you are telling lies thanks to mind reading, and you're speaking the truth." I told him.

I rolled up his sleeve and saw a blue mark that is similar to mine but his is a wolf with wings.

"Wait..." I said with shock. "So, we're related?"

"Maybe." He responded. "I promised auntie Splendora that I would help her daughter in this war."

"Am I actually your cousin?" I asked.

"Possibly." He answered.

I used my ice to release him from my trap and then I grabbed his hands and tied them together with some ice.

"This is for now, but I do want you to prove your trust to me." I said.

"Well, yes ma'am." He replied.

So I pulled him along into the next room, then Spyro fought some of the apes while I watched my supposive cousin, then we swap places, after that we finally made it inside of the temple.

"This place is actually larger than I thought it would be." He said, amazed.

"I think now's the time to bring my aunt and uncle from my "adoptive" family in." I said.

Ignitus nodded at me as I summoned a portal which showed the inside of their house. They walked into the portal, both of them had a backpack ready for themselves, I hugged them both.

"I guess my fighting lessons taught you well." Dan said.

"Yeah, glad I packed my own needs." I replied.

"Geez child you're sweating," Topanga told me. "aaaand you grew in things that I've never seen before."

"Well, from fighting," I replied. "And from learning that I'm not really human, I can actually turn into a wolf. So far."

The portal closed afterwards. I looked to see that Ignitus accidentally smacked Sparx with his tail.

"Well come on," Said Dan as he followed Ignitus as the next door to the next room opened. "Whoa, this statues actually fits in here."

"ahhh home, sweet home." Ignitus said.

We looked around in the room before we went through the last door, which lead us to the balcony.

"Uh guys, we're not in Kansas anymore." Said Sparx.

"We're not even in Kansas," Said Topanga.

We looked over the view, we were all shocked from the sight of the view, even the guy I tied up. I thought this would be better, but I was wrong, this was worse.
