Hello everyone.
Wow, I can't believe how popular this story keeps getting. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this. Also, again I'm sorry for the wait. Working overnights doesn't exactly help my creative side.
I just wanna make this story the best I can without getting ahead of myself, and posting it just because, you know? I want every detail, and every moment to be felt and loved.
I have a habit of writing things up and quickly posting them without skimming over and editing two or three times. Then when I come back to it I see spelling errors, and parts where I simply could have done better.
So I really do appreciate those of you who have been waiting, and I just hope that when I post it will have been worth the wait.
(Also by the way, after I caught up with all my stories, I was thinking about possibly making a fanfic story for Fruit Baskets ((KyoXTohru main)), and My hero Academia ((MidoriyaXUraraka main) if you're intrested, let me know in the comments.)
Sexual Tension 7
"Luce?" Natsu was very surprised to see the blonde. "Wha'da' you doin here?"
The obsidian-hazel eyes scan the room. "Where did Gray go?"
"Um..." Lucy blinked slowly, carefully watching water beads stream down the man's body; losing her words at the same time.
'Come on! Get a hold of yourself, Lucy! This isn't like you!' She scolded in her mind.
Just then, the busty blonde straightened up her tense back, and cleared her throat. "Oh, Gray left a moment or two ago." She pointed her thumb to the side for emphasis of him leaving. "He actually wanted me to let you know he'd be with the guys at the bar for a while."
Natsu returned his focus to the girl. Giving her a half nod; while at the same time, slyly skimming up her body.
To be totally honest, Natsu didn't really care what Gray was doing, or where he was. But in the moment, it seemed like the most obvious thing to ask, when the raven haired prick was suddenly, and unexpectedly, replaced by a stunning blonde, whom was all dolled up in a skin tight dress.
Natsu swallowed hard after letting his mind realize this detail further.
"Kay' so, why are you suddenly dressed all fancy like?"
Lucy felt her heart swell, and her cheeks warm for some reason. Obviously he would notice her in something so fancy, but to actually say something on the matter, just tickled her fragile heart.
"Oh this?" Lucy looked down at her gown and brushed off invisible dirt. "It's my dinner outfit."
"Dinner outfit?" Natsu lifted a brow. "You went to dinner?"
"No, I'm going to dinner. And I came here to see if..." She paused for a split second. "You wanted to come with me?"
"What?" Natsu blinked, trying to conceal his rapidly increased curiosity and interest. "You wanna go to dinner together?"
Lucy nodded. "I mean, if you're up for it."
Natsu turned his head slightly, skeptically side way glancing the girl. "Is this... a date?"
Lucy felt a hot chill run up her spine, igniting her cheeks to flush red. "No! No, no." She answered a bit too quickly. "It's not a date. Levy-chan, and Gajeel will be there too."
"Oh..." Natsu nodded his head slowly.
"Where would you be going?" The pinkette finished after a minute.
"To the Le Gavroche." Lucy answered.
"Ooof." Natsu winced, shifting his weight to one leg. "That place is expensive."
"Yeah, I'm aware." The blonde spoke clearly. "If you do decide you want to come, I'd be paying for your meal."
Natsu recoiled his head. "Wait, What? For real?!"
Lucy couldn't help but to smile warmly at the excitement that clearly ignited Natsu's entire face. "I still want to thank you for inviting me here after all."
Natsu smiled a wide toothy grin, showing off is pearly whites. "You were for real about that!? That's so nice! If this is really how you show your thanks! I should invite you places more often!"
Lucy's eyes soften. "Well, get ready into something nice. Levy texted me to meet in the lobby at six thirty." The blonde pulled out her phone to check the time. "It's five now."
"Wait, you said she texted?" Natsu's brows furrowed.
Lucy lifted a suspicious brow from the sudden change of topic. "Yeah, so what?"
"Since when have you two been on texting terms?"
"Since the arcade?" Lucy answered in a questioning tone. "Is there a problem?"
Natsu gently shook his head. "No, no. Just surprised I guess. I knew you two got along well, but I didn't think you were that close already." Natsu admitted.
"You don't have to be ridiculously close to someone to get their number you know. It's actually a common way for strangers to get closer." Lucy stated.
Natsu shrugged, and at the same time a small vibration hummed from Lucy's phone.
"Huh?" Lucy brought her phone to eye level.
Natsu lifted a curious brow. "A text?"
"Yeah." Lucy toyed with her phone.
"Speaking of the devil. Is that Levy?"
"Actually no. It's from Gray."
Natsu stiffened. "What?" the man hoped she didn't notice the change in his vocal pitch.
What the hell! How long has she had the ice freak's number? Surely not since the arcade too.
Have they been talking behind his back all this time?
Natsu bit the side of his lip.
Jeez why the hell was that so bothersome anyway? It's not like she was his...
No way!
Far from that!
So she can text whom ever she pleases.
If she wants to waste her time with the ice princess then fine.
Lucy's mouth curved into a massive smile, and she even let out a small giggle.
Natsu balled up his fists filling with more annoyance.
What the hell is she smiling like that for? What could be so amusing from that bastard that makes Lucy's eyes light up like that?
Finally Natsu let his temper get the better of him; and without a word or sound, Natsu snatched the expensive pink phone from the blonde, making her jump from the action and then fret to get it back.
"What the hell Natsu! Give it back!"
Natsu pranced around the room, toying with her device. "Oooo! Such a fancy phone."
"Whatever just give it back!" Lucy began to get annoyed at all her failed attempts to get her phone back.
"What are you and Gray talking about?" Natsu asked, not hesitating one bit to open their conversation.
"Hey! Don't open my messages! That is a total invasion of my privacy!" Lucy scolded.
Ignoring the blonde, Natsu scrolled through the messages.
Much to his relief there weren't very many texts, just the standard 'Hey this is Gray.' and small conversations here and there.
Doesn't look like they've been texting each other that long either.
The last message that was sent between them was: 'Hey, we're the bar now. If you're with Natsu; tell him I won't be back to the room tonight.'
And a group picture of him and the other guys drinking.
Was this what made her giggle?
What was so amusing about this?
Natsu grumbled a bit, but still filled up with relief.
"Natsu! Come on! Give it!" Lucy smashed into the man's shirtless back, squishing her massive rack against the man, flanking her arms around his toned body in desperate attempts to snag her phone back.
After another half a minute, Natsu craned his head over his shoulder to glance down at the girl 'hugging' him from behind.
"Fine, I guess you can have it." Natsu rolled his eyes and willingly placed the pink phone in the girls hand.
Still resting her head against Natsu's warm back, Lucy felt slightly reluctant to move. "What the hell was that for?"
Lucy finally got enough strength to pull away from the intoxicating smell that belonged to Natsu.
The pinkette turned to the blonde completely, and just shrugged.
"I'm going to get dressed now." Natsu declared, gripping the white towel still around his hips for better emphasis.
"Right, okay." Lucy nodded. "Just meet us in the main lobby by six thirty, okay?"
"Yeah, Yeah." Natsu nodded, pushing Lucy to exited his hotel room.
Now outside Natsu's hotel room, Lucy stood next to the door feeling a bit baffled.
Was it just her, or was Natsu acting a little strange?
It kind of seemed like...
Nah...
No way. That couldn't possibly be true. Lucy laughed at her thoughts.
"Anyway I should probably call Levy-chan to confirm that Natsu is coming." Lucy muttered to herself.
Bringing her pink phone to eye level, Lucy went into her contacts and scrolled down to the L's.
Just as Lucy was about to click on Levy's name, a new contact name in her phone stopped her in her track.
"What...?" Lucy's eyes widened in surprise. The blonde hovered her frozen thumb over the new contact saved under 'Natsu ;)'
XOXOXO
"So?" Levy eagerly tugged at the hems of her mid-thigh, one shouldered, honeycomb yellow high low dress, with bright and eager eyes. "What do you think Lu-chan?" She asked on the edge of her seat while Lucy sipped from the wine glass.
"Hmm?" Lucy tested the taste on her tongue; swirling the liquid in the clear wine glass as she did.
It tasted pleasantly sweet, a mild swirl of fruity flavors. The longer the taste sat on her tongue; the richer it got.
It was...
Lucy glanced at the liquid in the cup, then shifted her eyes to the girl across from her. "It's really good. I like it a lot."
Levy's eyes sparkled. "You do?"
"Yeah." Lucy giggled a bit, taking another sip.
"That's wonderful! I just knew you'd like it Lu-chan! I just knew it! This is so great!" Levy gulped a mouth full of wine, puffing her cheek before swallowing.
"Oi!" Gajeel grumbled. "Take it easy Levy. You know what happened last time you let yourself get carried away with drinkin'"
Levy waved off her boyfriends concerns. "That was like forever ago."
"What happened?" Lucy fell into curiosity.
"Nothing" Levy brushed off. "It's stupid."
"I'll say" Gajeel grumbled. "Levy can't hold her alcohol at all."
"Oh yeah?" Lucy giggled. "Okay, come on! You have to tell me the story now!"
"Don't encourage him Lu-chan!" Levy huffed. "Gajeel just leave it be! I said that wouldn't happen again." Levy finished with puffed cheeks.
Gajeel found amusement in his girlfriend's facial expression. It'd been a while since he last embarrassed her. This made the pierced man smirk devilishly.
At least Lucy and Levy seemed to get along well. So odds are, he will be forgiven
"So last year Levy and I came here with Erza and Jellal,"
"Gajeeeel!" Levy whimpered.
"And this one decides to get carried away with drinking, and ends up dancing on every table in this entire restaurant." Gajeel continued.
Lucy's eyes widened, and briefly scanned the area. "In such a big restaurant!?"
"Yeah, and I don't even want to get into having to chase her around trying to catch her."
Lucy pressed her fingertips to her lips, and giggled a bit. "Oh Levy-chan."
Levy sunk a bit in her seat and pouted with flushed cheeks. "I said that wouldn't happen again!"
Gajeel chuckled. "Yeah, let's hope not, I might just leave you here."
"So mean!" Levy pouted.
"Hey" Natsu interrupted. "I have to take a leak." the pinkette announced to the blonde.
"Now? Our food should be here any second, you can't hold it?" Lucy asked.
Natsu paused for a minute and focused on his bladder.
"Nope, gotta go now." He nudged her with his elbow.
"Okay, Okay." Lucy sighed lightly as she slid out from the booth and stood up, allowing the pinkette on the inside to scoot out.
As soon as Natsu got to his feet, and Lucy sat back down, a brunette waitress ambled up to the table with a large tray holding four large plates.
"I'm sorry about the wait." The woman started out. "Our two dishes of Conard aux cersis took a little longer to prepare today than normal." The nice employee placed the two dishes down; one hot plate in front of Lucy, and the other in front of Natsu's now empty seat.
"Thank you" Lucy smiled eyeing up her plate. "Wow this looks amazing."
"Ohh, and it smells amazing too." Natsu cooed with drool dripping from his mouth.
"Natsu... You're drooling." Lucy scorned with a disgusted scowl.
With the tasty food locked in his gaze, and the smell tormenting his nose; Natsu focused on nothing but getting back to his seat.
"Hey Natsu don't climb over me!" Lucy sided peevishly. "Come on! Get offa me! Ouch! Watch where your hands land buddy!" Lucy aggressively shoved him back into the booth. "Jeez I thought you had to use the bathroom."
"The what?" Natsu spoke with his eyes bored into his plate.
Levy giggled to herself at the couple's dispute; at the same time the short haired waitress let out a stiff giggle. Then finished passing out the plates.
"For you ma'am, the Soufflé Suissesse."
"Thank you very much!" Levy chirped excitedly.
"And finally for you..." The waitress turned her attention to Gajeel. "The Le Caneton Gavroche"
"Thank you." Gajeel pressed his lips together.
"Alright! Let's dig in!" Levy cheered. "Thank you for the meal!"
"Thank you for the meal" Everyone cheered.
XOXOXO
Gajeel glanced over at his girlfriend, irritation rapidly over taking his emotions.
"And so- haha! Do you want to know what I said next?" haha"
"What?" Lucy giggled across from her friend, taking a sip from her wine glass.
"I asked- haha. I asked him: 'Where are your eyebrows?!'" Levy held her stomach and roared with laughter.
"Okay shrimp." Gajeel swiped Levy's wine glass. "I think you've had enough." The man put the glass at the edge of the table and out of easy reach from the girl.
"Haha- What the heck Gajeel!" Levy continued to laugh hysterically, despite clearly being upset by the confiscation. "Haha- Come on that's only my second one!"
"I don't care."
"Come oooonn -haha. Just one more glass" Levy reached for the glass.
"Cut it out!" Gajeel lightly swatted the top of Levy's reaching out hand.
"Hey!" The bluenette jumped then recoiled her hand. "haha- That was so mean." Levy kissed the stop of her hand.
"Oh relax would ya? A barely tapped you." Gajeel sighed swigging two more shots before sliding out of the booth and standing up.
Well it's not like he didn't expect this to happen. Despite what Levy promised him, she just gets carried away around others.
Best to leave now before things escalate further.
"I think it's time for us to get out of here." Gajeel hooked his hand around Levy's arm and pulled her out from her seat.
"Hey-haha! No! Stop! I don't want to leave yet Gajeel!" Levy protested. "I wanna talk to Natsu and Lucy more.-haha"
"We'll see you guys later." Gajeel ignored his girlfriend, and just threw her over his shoulder.
"See ya." Natsu smiled stiffly and then jugged another fire ball shot.
The couple then walk off, leaving the building and Natsu and Lucy alone.
Natsu swigged one more shot before turning towards Lucy. "Maybe we should get out of here two? It's getting rather late."
Silence.
"Hm?" Natsu blinked curiously at the silent blonde.
Lucy grabbed her forehead. Her last sip of wine caused her already foggy mind, to now become very dizzy. And while she heard every word that was said, and was coherent of them, the blonde found harder than usual for her mind to process and respond as fast as it should.
"Lucy? Are you okay?" The man leaned in towards the table to get a better look at the girl's face.
"I'm..." She paused. "okay" Lucy finished with a giggle.
Natsu scratched the back of his head apprehensively. "Let's go back to the hotel, okay?"
XOXOXO
With the alcohol settling deeper into their systems, both Natsu and Lucy lurched through the hallways of the hotel, relieved to see the door to their rooms in sight.
Standing in front of the black door, Lucy dug through her small bag, pulling out her key. Wasting no time to gain access to her temporary room.
"Hey Lucy...?" Natsu slurred his words a bit.
"Yeah?" The blonde turned around, holding the door open with the back of her heel.
"Thanks for inviting me to dinner. I had fun"
The blonde blushed a little, waving her hand in front of her face. "Oh please, it was no big deal." She brushed off. "I'm glad to have finally been able to thank you properly for inviting me on this vacation."
Natsu shrugged a bit. "You know 'A simple ''thank you'' would have been enough for me."
"Oh, so are you saying that I should make you pay be back for that meal?" Lucy said sarcastically, playfully crossing her arms into her chest.
"Ahh!" Natsu threw up his hands a bit frantically. "Don't be ridiculous, that's not what I'm implying at all. I just mean, as grateful as I am for the meal, you didn't have to go that far. I'm happy enough that you agreed to be here with me."
Lucy blinked innocently, feeling her heart swell. "You are?"
Natsu blinked twice, taking twice as long to realize what he said than average. However once he did, he felt his body tense, at the same time his cheeks turn light pink; which he hoped would be hidden by his already flushed drunk cheeks.
What the heck.
Why did he go and say something like that? The ending was not at all what his mind told his mouth to say.
Lucy wasn't there for him, and they both knew that.
No. She just got along with the group so well, so of course it was a good idea to invite her along.
Also...
I'm not into you...
After everything that was said and done, Lucy was right not to be into him.
The two of them are just meant to be friends.
Natsu lowered his eyes.
So...
Why was thinking abut this stirring up uneasy feelings?
The pinkette felt his heart clutch. Was her statement that day still tormenting him?
This doesn't make any sense...
When they're supposed to just be friends. To not care about each other in any special way...
He urged friendship, and he got it. So what is all this uncertainty for?
Why did it annoy Natsu so much when Lucy was getting comfortable with another guy?
Were all these feelings really things he hid deep inside? Things that were so easy to acknowledge with the help of the alcohol?
Lucy's eyes softened. "I'm happy to be with you too Natsu."
Natsu perked up quickly; gaping at Lucy, as if she just said something in a foreign language.
The two teenagers lock passionate eyes; occasionally shifting their glance from one eye to the other, and stealing frequent peeks of one another's lips.
So unsure of what to do... or what to say... But secretly knowing deep down what they both wanted.
Natsu slowly stepped closer, making Lucy straighten up.
After a long minute of standing in front of each other, Natsu gently placed his hand on Lucy's cheek, then cautiously began angling her in.
Lucy's breath hitched, and that was almost enough to make the attentive man stop; but the fact that she hasn't tried to move away, edged him further.
Carefully watching for any sign of rejection, Natsu slithered his hand to the back of Lucy's neck; pulling her in even closer. With still not even the slightest sign of wanting him to stop, the pink haired man tilted his head. He swallowed hard as he watched Lucy slowly flutter her eyes close, and bring her hands to rest on his chest.
Finally Natsu closed his eyes and hesitantly pressed his lips into Lucy's.
It was such a soft, and light kiss, filled with uncertainty.
No faster than it came, Natsu pulled away, leaving his forehead resting against Lucy's.
The busty blonde opened her eyes, and peered up at the man through her long eye lashes.
They were both silent for a while, until Natsu finally spoke up.
"It's getting late." The man whispered with his eyes still closed. "I should probably go now."
"Natsu..." Lucy couldn't help but to whisper back.
With every ounce of restraint the man could build up, he reluctantly forced his body away from Lucy.
Lucy bit her lip.
Was he really going to leave? Just like that?
"Do you..." Lucy whispered hesitantly. "Have to go?"
Natsu peeked at Lucy briefly before dropping his eyes to the floor.
If this continued... Would Lucy hate him in the morning?
As hard as it was, this had to be the right thing to do... neither one of them had the right mind set at the moment. Their minds were too clouded from drinking.
It was a risk he shouldn't take...
"Good night Lucy."
Lucy furrowed her brows, then slowly turned around.
"Night Natsu..." She muttered quickly then stepped into the room, letting the door close behind her, separating the two.
Inside her hotel room, Lucy leaned her back against the door for a while, before letting herself slide down to sit on the floor.
Natsu was such an idiot...
After a while of sitting on the floor, Lucy forced herself to her feet, and turned on the main light in the room. She then noticed a small note resting on the glass coffee table, to the right of the dresser.
Lucy stumbled over to the table, and read the note.
'Juvia will be staying at a friend's house here in clover town tonight. It's been a while since Juvia has seen her, so Juvia will return tomorrow afternoon.'
Alright, so no Juvia tonight.
Lucy scanned the empty room for a brief moment before deciding that she wanted to take a shower.
It had been a long day, and a nice hot shower could be just what the doctor ordered to clear up some of this foggy mind.
The brown eyed girl strolled to the bathroom, and quickly stripped her clothes. Just as she was about to turn on the water, a quick knock at her door echoed the room, making her jump a little.
'What the heck?' She thought to herself. 'Who could that be?'
Lucy grabbed a small white towel and wrapped it around her body, then made her way to the front door.
After she swung the door open her mouth dropped a little, and her eyes slightly widened in surprise from seeing the troubled pink haired man.
"Eh? Natsu!? Hey! What? umm... did you need something?"
Natsu clenched his jaw, glancing at the blonde wrapped in the small skin tight towel.
"Natsu?"
"I'm sorry about this Lucy..."
Lucy knitted her brows. "About wha- mmmpf!"
Lucy's eyes went even wider when Natsu's hot lips slammed into hers. Natsu pushed Lucy back into her room, forcing the door to slam shut behind them.
"I know..." Natsu breathed into the kiss, slamming Lucy's tight figure into the wall beside the entrance. "We're supposed to be just friends..." Natsu shot his tongue into Lucy's slightly parted mouth, kissing her in desperation.
"But just tonight... let us be more... you can hate me in the morning if you need to..."
The pinkette ripped the white towel off Lucy's body and lifted her in the air. "You can call me names. Hit me, scream at me, and say that I went against everything we've promised up until now. I don't care..."
In instinctual response Lucy wrapped her legs around his waste and ran her desperate fingers that longed to touch him, through his messy hair.
"Because... I want you so fucking bad Lucy."
Natsu slammed Lucy's back into the mattress, and then ripped off his clothes.
