Another Saturday, another chapter written. We're almost at the end of this book. I hope you ALL have enjoyed the book so far. This book is canon to the Mobian Huntsmen timeline! I'll probably make a timeline for ya someday I guess, but enough from me, let's get into this chapter! Enjoy!

The scene opens up to an awkward and embarrassed Sonic Takamaki who is being pinned by a flustered Ruby Rose against the freight wall. It seems that our Huntsmen and Huntresses are in a tight situation. Everyone was in awkward positions to barely accommodate the size of the freight. Then the camera pans out to show the sailing ship that is almost at port to an unknown island. Back with teams RWBY and SSKT, they noticed that the ship stopped.

"The ship stopped… now we can get out of here…" Sonic says trying to free his left hand from Ruby's right leg.

"Finally! We can leave!" Weiss Schnee says out of relief. Then a blush grew on her face as she glared at Miles "Tails" Prower. "Would you mind if you get one of your appendages out from my skirt?"

Tails gulped as his face reddened. "S-S-Sorry W-Weiss! I didn't m-mean to! But Yang is s-sitting on it!"

"I forgot how fluffy they are but I can't move till Shadow moves one of his quills out of my arm!" Yang Xiao Long's right eye twitched as she glanced at him with one of his back spines poking her right arm.

"Just keep calm and we can get out of this without making things more awkward than it already is." Shadow Yaminagi retorts calmly as he faces Sonic. "You and Ruby are the only ones close to the door. Try to get it open."

"We're… trying!" The Hooded Huntress grunted as she and Sonic pushed against the steel door. "Gah! It won't budge!"

"Knuckles! Try getting the other side open!"

"I'll try." Knuckles Kaji says as he closes his eyes.

The echidna Faunus took a deep breath a few times before he placed his hand on the door on his side. His right hand had a green outline as the steel began to sizzle and then melt so that Knuckles could put his hand through, he raised his hand to make a long oval-shaped hole. He grinned at his success as he gripped the right side and pushed the steel to make the hole just wide enough for him to squeeze out. After stretching his legs and arms and popping his namesakes and neck, he pulled on the left side making the hole wider so that everyone else got out to stretch their muscles.

"Let's agree not to mention this ever again." Said an embarrassed Sonic who looked away from the girls.

"Agreed." Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Shadow, and Tails said in unison.

"I don't know, I think Knuckie enjoyed it. Didn't you naughty boy~" Said a flirtatious Yang who winked at Knuckles who blushed but turned his back on her.

"Let's get back to business. First question is where we are." Shadow says as he dusts himself off and turns to Tails.

The kitsune Faunus looks at his communicator with a frustrated look as he sees a red X on his screen. "I can't get a signal here. Let's get off the ship to find out where we are."

"Good idea." Blake Belladonna added head to the railing.

The group went from the ship to the coast of the island to see some structures till they heard static from their communicators. It seems that Doctor Bartholomew Oobleck was trying to contact them but something was blocking their signal. Tails spotted a radio tower at the distance.

"I see some radio towers over there. I'll try to turn off the jammer once we reach them." Tails says as he runs to the direction to the towers.

"Tails! Look out!" Shadow barked.

(-Music: Metal Depot {E-102 γ ''Gamma'' Stage} [ Sonic Battle ]-)

The kitsune Faunus gasped as he jumped over a glaive from a tall, top-heavy and red android. They have the Merlot Industries logo on their chest, and have neon blue highlights across the entire body, including the eyes. He rolls a bit before getting back on his feet. Four more of the same red androids appeared.

"Tails! Keep going to the tower! We need the coms back online!" Sonic says unsheathing Caliburn and charges at the androids.

Tails nods as he continues running down a small cave to run into a fence. He tries pulling on it but it wouldn't budge. "Drat! It's locked! Must be another way around!"

"Tails! Have you got to the tower yet?" Weiss inquired as she and the others caught up with him.

"No but I spotted an alternate path that we can follow to the tower. Let's go!"

The group went around the fence to meet more resistance, in the form of Grimm. Specifically, 2 Boarbatusks, then 8 Creeps,and then 1 Alpha Creep. The two teams sprung into action on clearing them out. Once the Grimm were taken care of, Tails ran up to the tower to press a few buttons and he heard a beep sound.

"Now let's see if this works." Tails mutters as he taps on Oobleck's face on his communicator screen. "Doctor Oobleck! Can you hear us?"

"Whatever you did... just keep doing that! The radio seems to be giving me some feedback so I'm not sure how much… somewhere else on the island. You must make sure at all costs that you… Understood?" Dr. Oobleck says before more radio static filled the screen.

"Hey Tails!" Ruby's voice made him look down to where everyone else was. "Did it work?!"

"Sorta! We need to find more towers to get a better reception!"

"Can you open the door?! We need to continue on!" The Schnee Heiress says while pointing to the door.

(-Music: Eggmanland - Day [ Sonic Unleashed ]-)

The kitsune Faunus goes back to the control panel and presses a button that opens the door. Everyone ran through it to go deeper into the island, to find more industrial-like surroundings, but more Grimm appeared. Consisting of 8 Beowolves and one Alpha Beowolf. Once they cleared up the Grimm and pressed on forward; the two teams spotted another tower. They reached the to find another console.

Tails cracks his knuckles. "Time to work my magic."

He types away on the console as everyone else looks at their communicators as they pressed on the screen.

"Team! It's working. The signal seems better but for some reason I'm not sure if you can still hear me. Just a little more and I can pinpoint your exact location on the island. And if you can't do that…" More radio static. "Nevertheless, keep it up!"

"We're getting somewhere but just a bit more." Sonic says while looking at his best friend with a grin on his face.

"The third tower's this way." The Shadowcat points to another tower on the left in the distance.

"Let's un-jam this jammer." The Blonde Brawler joked as she pounds her fists together.

Then the two teams continued to make their way to the third radio tower but more Grimm appeared. This time, there are 4 Beowolves and 2 Alpha Creeps. Once they took care of the Grimm, the two teams came together as they high-fived each other except Shadow and Tails, the former, was on the way to the console.

"Nice job cleaning house everyone! We'll get through this in a Sonic-Second! Who knows, we might not need the Doc for this one!" The hedgehog Faunus said with confidence in his voice.

"Don't get cocky. This is a bit too easy. We're in enemy territory, be prepared for anything." Shadow says while looking at the opening gate.

(-Music: My World [ Sonic Heroes ]-)

"Ahhh, that's better. Sorry, but the reception is always so bad all the way out here. I hope you're enjoying your stay on the island. You're the first visitors I've had in, well, you are the first." Said a voice coming from their communicators, surprising everyone in the process.

"Ummm, you're not Dr. Oobleck." Ruby states being a bit unnerved by the newcomer's voice.

"Sorry, but I think you've got the wrong number!" Yang states with narrowed eyes.

"Um Tails? What's going on?" Blake asks him, but sees him panicking.

"I can't shut our communicators down! They've been compromised! Self-destruct the communicators!" Tails said.

"Oh, where are my manners? Allow me to introduce myself. My name's Dr. Merlot. You don't know me, but I most certainly know who you are. Nevertheless, I'm thrilled you're here. You might be exactly what I need for a very important... experiment." Dr. Merlot says sinisterly.

Then, Merlot's face fizzled out leaving a black screen on their communicators. The two teams were speechless and then they looked at the open gate before them.

"Code: 2336689." The kitsune Faunus' voice broke the silence as the communicator destroyed itself and became a smoking heap. "I don't want my plans to be in his hands."

Everyone took off their communicators and repeated the same code that demolished their communicative devices. Then they stomped on the smoking devices, shattering them to pieces to make them beyond repair.

"This is it huh?" Ruby asks.

"Welcome to the next level. From here on out, we better be on our A-game guys." Sonic states with a small grin forming on his face. "We faced the White Fang, Egghead, and Dorkwick. We can take on Merlot."

"Can we do a final break before we initiate whatever inhumane tests that Dr. Merlot decides to do to us?" Weiss inquired feeling the need to prepare themselves for what is coming next.

"We got 10 minutes. Once that is up, we continue forward." The Ultimate Life Form says getting another magazine and placing it in the eight extended pointed metal layers of Arondight.

No one spoke up to object Shadow's plan, they continued prepping for the battles up ahead. Once 10 minutes was up, the two teams stood ready to fend off what nefarious experiment that the mad doctor had intended to use. Then the first wave of Grimm appeared. 9 Beowolves, then 2 Alpha Creeps, and then 1 Ursa. The test has begun.

(-Music: Battle with Infinite - First Bout [ Sonic Forces ]-)

"So we meet again, Dr. Merlot." Professor Ozpin says stoically, not sounding very happy.

"Ozpin? Or shall I call you Oz like old times, chum?" Merlot says with glee in his tone, ignoring the Headmaster's cold statement.

"So they know each other? How?" The fighting students inwardly inquired to themselves.

After the first wave was cleared, the second wave of Grimm appeared, consisting of 2 Boarbatusks, then 8 Creeps, and then 1 Alpha Creep. The two teams got to work clearing them out.

"I thought you perished in the Mountain Glenn disaster, a tragedy you played no small part in." Ozpin states.

"'Twas a mere speed bump on the superhighway of scientific progress. You couldn't possibly imagine the ramifications of my latest research." Merlot says defiantly.

"Research? What was he working on that caused Mountain Glenn to be like what it is?" Tails inquired as he sliced a Boarbatusk.

"You can ponder that later Tails. We gotta stay focused." Said the Schnee Heiress as she performs her Barrage Attack at the Alpha Creep.

"The more Oz keeps Merlot talking, the more we know! So let's keep doing what we do best!" Sonic added in while doing an upwards slash at a Boarbatusk.

"The world was a much safer place without you, Merlot." Ozpin firmly rebutted his former colleague.

The second wave Grimm was demolished, then the third wave came. This time, composed of 9 Beowolves and 2 Alpha Creeps.

"You're calling me the reckless one? Sending your students out on an excursion like this?" Merlot jested at Ozpin with disdain in his voice.

"They're more than a match for your mindless robots. What you're doing here is wrong, Merlot." The Headmaster retorted not being phased by his enemy's claim.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence Oz!" The Blue Speed Demon grinned as Caliburn had a blue glow around the blade. "かみそりの風の刃 (Razor Wind Blades)!"

5 blue crescents sliced through 5 Beowolves when Ruby did her Crescendo technique that sliced one of the Alpha Creeps away.

"Go Team RWBY!" She chimed.

"Looks like the Headmaster admires our awesomeness!" Yang states with a grin on her face as she punched a Beowolf's head knocking it down.

The two teams were getting a work out with the third wave but unfortunately, they wouldn't get the chance to rest as the last wave of Grimm arrived. This wave consisted of 8 Beowolves, then 2 Alpha Creeps, and then 1 Ursa.

"This is it guys! The final stretch till this experiment of Dr. Merlot is done!" Sonic states as charges at a Beowolf.

"Let's give it all we got!" Knuckles added as he shot his Incineration Wave that burned 2 Beowolves to dust.

"We didn't come this far just to stop! We'll keep going till Dr. Merlot is stopped!" Blake firmly states as she left a Fire Clone that exploded and destroyed a few Beowolves and damaged the Alpha Creep.

"Trying to make the world a better place is wrong? Say what you will about me. It won't change the fact that you're powerless to stop me."

"You'll botch this somehow. You always do."

"Well, let's agree to disagree. I tell you Oz, it has been truly a pleasure catching up, but unfortunately it's time for me to run. Farewell, old chum." Merlot ended the conversation.

By the time Ozpin and Merlot's conversation ended, team RWBY and SSKT finished the fourth wave of Grimm. They were a bit exhausted and sweaty, much to Weiss' displeasure but the task was completed.

"We've been attempting to locate Merlot's island, but we've yet to obtain its coordinates. I need you to continue exploring and contact me when you find any evidence of his whereabouts." The Headmaster said to his students, letting them know on their next task.

"We got our orders. Let's continue exploring the island and report to Professor Ozpin of any evidence of his whereabouts." Shadow said as he skates ahead.

"Yo Shadow! Wait for us!" Sonic revs off after him.

"Wait! Don't leave us!" Ruby uses her Semblance to catch up with the two speed demons.

"We can't let them have all the fun!" Knuckles and Yang said in unison as they ran after three.

The remainder of the group trailed after them with their next objective. Find and defeat Doctor Merlot and shut down his plan involving Remnant for good.
