In Magnus's apartment, Alec, Marley and Magnus Portal back into it, they have paper bags with them. Magnus walked to the kitchen as Alec looked at Marley. "I mean, how would they feel?"

"Well, I'm glad you didn't ask in front of the sushi chef." Marley replied to him.

"Well, seriously, why do they call it fatty tuna?" Alec looked at her. "I mean that's a little degrading."

"Hmm, well, I don't think obese tuna sounds any better." Marley comment, sarcastically.

"You know, as much as I love Tokyo and Prague, a bacon burger from the East Village isn't that bad." Alec told her.

Marley smiled at him. "The world is yours to make, Alec."

Just then, Alec looked at her and said. "I got you something."

"Me?" Marley asked surprised.

"Yes, you." Alec gives Marley a little bag. "Open it." Then she pulled out a little luck charm. "It's supposed to bring you luck and protection."

"Thank you, Alec." Marley thanked him. "You continue to surprise me."

Alec smiled at her. "In good ways, I hope."

They're about to kiss as they hear giggling from the other room. Then Alec and Marley both sigh as then they heard Magnus in the kitchen, who sighed heavily. He wanted to that his daughter and Alec have time for themselves. "I haven't had a roommate this brazen since… Well, since Casanova and I spent the night in the Doge's Palace."

"Casanova?" Alec asked confused, looking at Marley, who just shrugged. "I'll talk to Jace. He can't stay here forever."

Marley shook with her head. "No, nothing a little magic can't fix." Then she snaps her fingers and upbeat music starts playing. "All good?"

Sometime later, Alec and Marley were making out on the couch while the music was playing. Alec's and Marley's phones beeped up and they took a look at it. "Well, that's great." Marley sighed, looking at her phone, then she looked at Alec. "We need to go."

"Damn it." Alec sighed as they stood up and leaves the couch.

Then they went to find Jace, they found him in the bedroom as they saw him and an elf. She pointed at another rune. "And this one?"

"Stamina."

"Ooh, I like the sound of that." They start kissing.

Alec cleared his throat. "We have orders. Let's go."

Jace looked at him. "I'm a little tied up."

"Not yet, you're not." She sat up and looking at Alec. "You're welcome to join us."

Alec didn't look at them. "I'm good."

"Your loss. I'll give you two a minute." Then she leaves the room as then Alec throws some clothes at Jace. Marley backed away to the door, looking at them.

"This is your solution? Hiding out at Magnus'?" Alec asked to him.

"I wouldn't exactly call this hiding." Jace replied to him. "We have…" Putting his jeans on. "Obligations. Aldertree wanted me gone and I'm gone."

"So you got demoted." Alec looked at him. "So what? You'll work your way back up."

"You don't understand." Jace sighed.

"Then tell me. Whatever it is, it can't be that bad." Alec told him as Jace was quiet. "So you're just gonna turn your back on us? On Isabelle? Marley? Clary?"

Jace looked back at him. "I told you I'm not discussing Clary."

"She's your family. Your sister." Alec sighed.

"I don't need a reminder." Jace told him, stubbornly. "You know, you should go. We don't want you getting benched, too."

Alec shook with his head. "This isn't you." Then he leaves and took Marley hand, taking her with him.

Alec, Marley and Clary were entering the Institute. People are training in the background. Then Clary asked to them. "Any idea what this is about?"

Marley shook with her head. "Nope."

"Heard a big storm's moving in." Alec replied to her as Marley raised an eyebrow. Knowing him, he really heard something, knowing her, she isn't paying attention. "Always increases demon activity."

"And Jace is…" Clary trailed off.

"Not here." Alec told her.

"He's totally shut me out." Clary glanced at them as they were still walking. "He's not answering my texts. I don't understand what's going on."

"Me neither. Come on." Alec lied to her.

"Lair, lair pants on fire." Marley muttered as she was glad that they didn't hear her as then they walk into the Center. Izzy grabbed her wrist because it's shaking again, nobody seemed to notice.

"What did we miss?" Alec asked to his sister.

Izzy opened up the holographic screen. "Let's see." She comment. "The Citadel was breached. Magdalena is dead. Cleophas is missing."

"How horrible." Marley put a hand on her mouth.

"Oh, my God. Valentine?" Clary asked in shock.

"Who else could it be?" Izzy asked back as then she told them. "Aldertree's heading to Idris to meet with the Council."

"I'll go check with ops." Alec told them.

"I will go with you." Marley told him as then they walked away.

Izzy is about to too, but Clary called her back. "Izzy. There's something I need to tell you about Sister Cleophas."

"That you told her about your new rune?" Izzy asked her a little angry.

"How did you know I…" Clary was interrupted.

"Does it matter?" Izzy crossed with her arms. "You should know what it feels like when the people you care about shut you out."

"Izzy, Jace told me it would be dangerous for anyone who found out." Clary reasoned with her.

"So now I need to be protected?" Izzy looked at her. "I welcomed you in, Clary. Saw you through training, rescued Simon every time he got into trouble, which is basically all of the time, and after your mom…"

"Izzy, I'm sorry." Clary sighed. "Look, we both care about the Iron Sisters. We need to find Sister Cleophas. We can do it together."

"I'm kind of over this whole togetherness thing." Izzy told her as then she walked away.

A few hours has been pasted as Marley was back by her father in his apartment, Jace was gone there and went to the bar. Magnus was also away for a few hours. Izzy was looking at a holographic map of the city, she's breathing and sweating heavily. Then Alec approached her. "Where have you been? Had to slaughter a horde of Shax demons in Grand Central. Could've used your help." Izzy has zoomed in on a city block and pulls up some pictures. "What are you doing?"

"Uh… Aldertree has me on a special assignment." Izzy turned to look at her brother. "I'm checking out some rogue vamp dens."

He saw that she was sweating, then he asked concerned. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Izzy waved it off.

"You don't seem fine." Alec was very concerned.

"I'm… tired. Yeah." Izzy looked at him. "Um, your message said you wanted to talk. Do you have a lead on Cleophas?"

Alec leaned in. "No. Not yet."

Izzy lowered her voice. "Then what is it?"

"It's about Marley." Alec seemed very nervous. "Look, um… How do you know… in your experience, you know, when's the, uh… the right time?"

Izzy seemed to understand him as then she was getting excited. "Oh, my God, are you talking about having sex?"

"Can you not discuss my sex life with the entire Institute, please?" Alec groaned.

"Alec, is this your first time with a man?" Izzy stared at him. "Your first time ever? It all makes sense now. That's why you didn't want me to meet Jessica Hawkblue. Then she pushed him playfully. "Wait, was there ever a Jessica Hawkblue?"

"Are you done?" Alec sighed.

"Okay." Izzy nodded. "You and Marley, you want to…"

"I think so." He looked at her. "I don't know."

"Alec, you care about Marley." She advised him. "She cares about you. It's okay. Just don't do what you always do."

"And what's that?" Alec asked to her.

"Overthink it." She replied, looking at him. "Like you're doing now."

"No, I don't overthink things." Alec looked at her as then she gives him a look. "Do I?"

"Look…" Izzy advised further. "If it's what you want, if it makes you happy, then go for it." Alec nodded to her as then he walked away. Izzy was showing more yin fen withdrawal signs.

In Magnus's apartment, There's a knock on the door. Marley opened the door, it's Alec. "Hey." She greeted him.

Alec came in as then he took off his jacket. "Jace here?"

"No." Marley looked at him. "He left hours ago, I think. Are you okay?" Alec starts kissing Marley, then she pulled away a bit. "Hey, what's this all about? I mean, I'm not complaining, but…"

"I… I just thought, you know, I thought we could take the next step." Alec replied to her.

Marley realized. "Oh, the sex step."

"Yeah." Alec nodded to her.

"Alec, I may be experienced a bit, but, it's rare that I've ever felt this way about someone and…" She looked at him. "I worry that once we…" She pointed at her room. "That if we rush into this…" then she looked back him. "That I may lose you."

"What? Why would you think that?" He asked confused.

"Look… you're not the only one that feels vulnerable." Marley replied to him.

"Marley, you have nothing to worry about." Alec told her, smiling. "I want this."

"Then I want this too." She smiled at him as then they start kissing again and go into the bedroom. What they didn't know is that Alicia was spilling her secret to Aldertree.

Meanwhile with, Alicia as she looked Aldertree as he motion her to sit down. "So, what is it that you want to tell me?"

"Well, you know Marley right?" She asked to him as he nodded to her. "I know a little secret about her."

Aldertree leaned forwards a bit. "Please do tell me."

"Well, she is a rare-shadowhunter warlock and I do believe that Downworlder's are not welcome here without your permission." Alecia spilled the secret to him.

"You are right." Aldertree nodded to her.

"Then, what will you do next?" Alicia asked to him.

Aldertree looked at her as he smirked. "Well…"
