New Regional Forms
After they spent the night in Galar, Josh and Kiara headed back to Route 2 after revisiting Route 1. There were some Pokémon they didn't catch yesterday. They were walking alongside the river. Scorbunny notices two Pokémon resting besides the river.
"Scor!" Scorbunny exclaims.
"What is it?" Josh asks him.
It was two turtle-like Pokémon with a large teal head bigger than its body. The top of its shell is a darker shade of blue with a brown trim, with a light brown underbelly, similar to Squirtle and its evolved forms. It has what appears to be a single toe or claw at the ends of each foot. It has an orange bulb on each of its cheeks, a darker tongue. It has a single large tooth in its mouth, which it can use to bite down hard on targets. It has a pair of nostrils directly above the mouth, and a pair of small eyes with a black rim directly above that, with a single large brow, giving it an almost angry look.
"Who's this Pokémon?" Kiara wondered, taking out her Poké Dex.
"Chewtle, the Snapping Pokémon. Chewtle snaps anything in front of it because of an itch on its teething."
"Interesting." Kiara said.
Two more Chewtle appeared from the river and joined the other two.
"Chewtle Chew." the first Chewtle said to the other two.
The other two Chewtle opened their eyes and stood up. Six more Pokémon can be seen walking towards them.
"It's Zigzagoon." Josh said. "But their fur is different." He was right. These Zigzagoon have black-and-white-patterned fur. The red eyes are surrounded by a black spiked mask. The black feet contain three sharp white claws. It has a long pink tongue that is constantly hanging outside of its mouth with two lower teeth in between. He takes out his Poké Dex.
"Zigzagoon, the Tiny Racoon Pokémon. The Zigzagoon of Galar original form is black-and-white patterned fur. It is also the oldest form in Galar."
"Interesting." Kiara said.
Two Zizgagoon notices the two trainers.
"Goon!" two of them exclaims. The four Chewtle turns their head and notice the trainers as well.
"Chewtle!" Chewtle exclaims. She turns her head back to the Zigzagoon. "Chewtle Chew!"
"Zagoon." Zizgagoon nodded her head.
Two Zigzagoon and the two Chewtle began to battle. Chewtle opens her mouth and fires a spiral of water at Zigzagoon. The two Zigzagoon avoided the the attack and shook their tails before tackling into them.
"Chewtle!" she grunted as she and her partner got up.
While their battle was going on, the two other Zigzagoon was taunting Scorbunny and Sobble.
"So you want to have a battle, huh?" Josh asked. "Alright then. Scorbunny, use Ember!"
Scorbunny runs in place to build friction. He then kicks a pebble, setting it on fire as it flies towards the opponent. Zigazoon was trying to attack Sobble, but Sobble turns himself invisible.
"Use Water Gun!" Kiara commanded.
Sobble fires his Water Gun and the attack hits Zigzagoon.
"Goon!" it cried.
"Now Tackle!" Josh ordered.
Scorbunny tackles into Zigzagoon as she sent flying into her friends. They didn't get up after the last attack. Josh walks up to them and gave the Zigzagoon some Potions.
"I have to say, you love battling don't you?" Josh asks them. "Why don't you come with us? Me and my friends are always traveling, battling a lot of strong trainers and Pokémon." He turns his head over to the Chewtle. "You too as well."
They all nodded and agreed. Josh and Kiara threw several Poké Balls at them and the spheres stops shaking. The spheres were transported. Josh and Kiara continue to catch some wild Pokémon. About an hour later, Josh and Kiara heads back to the lab.
"Hi Josh." Sonia smiled. "Here's your Dynamax Band." She hands it over to him and Josh puts it on his right wrist. "Now you can Dynamax Pokémon."
"Thank you." Josh thanked her.
"Tell Professor Sarise and Mike we said hello." Professor Magnolia said.
Josh and Kiara nodded.
Now that Josh has retrieved a Dynamax Band and caught some new friends, Josh and Kiara continues their Pokémon Journey.
