A/N: Hey guys, it's been a long while since I updated this story, so...here it is. This chapter was inspired by the release of Resident evil Village. I hope you enjoy! Will Laura find Chris? Will she rescue her fiance Sasha?

The next morning, I yawned a little as I woke up and smiled as I looked over and saw that Becky was still fast asleep, I quietly got out from the covers trying my best not to disturb Becky, I then picked up th nearest top I found on the floor and threw it over myself as I got dressed before I then grabbed a bag and started packing a few change of clothes into it, I then quietly zipped up the bag and quietly opened the door before making my way downstairs.

When I got downstairs, I let out a sigh as I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen as I began writing a note before I left it on the table, "She at least deserves to know where I am going if I can't bring myself to give her a proper goodbye." I told myself before I then slowly started making my way to the front door, before I saw Dean leaning by the door as he said,

"Leaving without saying goodbye to your old man? I thought you were better than that Laura."

I took a deep breath as I looked at Dean and replied, "You know this is hard for me too Dean. You think I want to leave without saying goodbye? My farther is still recoving from his injuries and I don't want to cause him any more stress than he already will have knowing I'm going after Chris. This is something I have to do, Chris has gone too far and I WILL get Sasha back, no matter the cost…"

Seth then joined the conversation and handed me a bottle of beer as he smiled and said, "Relax Laura, we know why you are leaving. That bottle is for the road, wherever you might be headed. I know Becks will be upset that you left without saying goodbye, but...at least you were thoughtful enough to leave a note. Have you made up your mind about Joining S.T.A.R.S yet?" and I smiled as I looked at Seth and nodded my head as I replied,

"I have, and...I know my farther would want me to join S.T.A.R.S so...that's what I plan on telling Captain Lance, when I head to the B.S.A.A HeadQuarters, before I try and look for any leads as to where Chris may have taken Sasha." before I then took a deep breath as I added, "I will be counting on you guys to keep Becky and my farther safe while I am gone. I...I'm not sure how long I may be gone for but...I promise...no I swear I will come home safe and sound, WITH my fiance Sasha."

Roman then smiled at me as he walked over and said, "Don't worry Laura, we won't let anything happen to Becky, or your farther because we know how much they mean to you. So...what I'm trying to say is...go. Don't stand around here any longer, go and find your girl. We'll make sure Leon and Becky will be safe and waiting for you to return with Sasha safe and sound." I gave Roman and the others a hug with a few tears in my eyes as I sniffled and replied,

"Thanks guys, I owe you big time for doing this."

Before I then walked out the front door with my crossbow strapped to my back, along with my backpack and duffel bag of everything I thought I would need, before putting it all into the back of my mother's truck before climbing inside and turning the key in the ignition before slowly making my way out of the driveway and down the road towards the B.S.A.A HeadQuarters.

Meanwhile…

Shortly after Laura had left, Becky slowly stirred from her sleep and rubbed her eyes a little as she looked around the room before she then noticed Laura wasn't next to her, she climbed out from the covers and got dressed as best she could with one arm as she thought to herself, "Laura is probably downstairs getting some breakfast, I should probably go and join the lass." before she then left the room and went downstairs to find Laura.

However, when she got downstairs she noticed a note laying on the table so she picked it up and slowly read the note while some tears were building in her eyes as the note read,

"Dear Rebecca and Leon,

This was a difficult choice for me to make but...I have decided to go after Chris on my own and try and bring my girlfriend and wife to be Sasha banks home safely.

Also I will be stopping at B.S.A.A HeadQuarters to let Captain Lance know of my decision of joining the S.T.A.R.S force.

I'm sorry I couldn't give you both a proper goodbye before leaving, please don't try to follow me as this is something I need to do by myself.

Chris has gone too far and I need to stop him before he hurts anyone else, know that I will always love you and I will be thinking of you both on my travels wherever they may take me.

I'm not sure how long I will be leaving you for, but...Roman, Seth and Dean of the Shield will protect you both in my abscence as I trust them with my life.

Dean then frowned a little as he said to her, "Morning Becky, I...uh I see you found the note Laura left then." and Becky looked at Dean with tears streaming down her face as she replied with a hint of anger behind her voice,

"Don't morning Becky me Dean! Did ye know about this? Did ye know about Laura leaving?"

Dean then looked at Becky as he rubbed the back of his head slightly as he said, "I...may have known that Laura was planning on leaving Becks, but...I didn't know she was gonna leave without saying goodbye to you or her old man, I found the note left on the table before I caught Laura walking towards the door."

Becky then scowled at Dean, the tears still streaming down her face as she growled, "And ya didn't think to try and stop her? She's being reckless Dean! She needs me! She's hurting. She's just going to get herself killed if she goes after Chris on her own!" Roman then walked over to Becky as he calmly said to her,

"Hey take it easy Becks, this probably wasn't easy for Laura and I'm sure she didn't want to leave without saying anything and making you worry. that's why she left that note for you and her farther. She also asked us to look after you and her old man until she comes home with Sasha safely."

Seth then joined them as he looked at Becky and let out a sigh and said, "Becks, we all know how much you care about Laura, and...I know how much Laura cares about you as well as Sasha, that's why she's doing this. Look at it from Laura's point of view, wouldn't you do the same if someone you loved deeply was taken by someone you thought you could trust? Wouldn't you do anything you could to bring them home safely? I would probably do the same if Bayley was in trouble."

And Becky just let out a frustrated huff as she said, "I cannot believe you guys just stood by and did nothing as Laura left to potentially get herself killed! Do you not think I don't understand how much Sasha means to Laura? I was with them when Laura proposed to Sasha for fuck sake! And I can't believe Laura would just leave without saying goodbye to me! the way she wrote this note sounds like she might not come back at all...and...you lads are just...ok with that?" before she stormed off into the kitchen crying.

Seth went to go after Becky, but Roman stopped him and shook his head as he said, "Leave her be man, she's angry and upset about not knowing if Laura is gonna come in one piece with Sasha. Just give her some space, she'll come around. It's just difficult for her to accept that Laura wanted to go after Chris alone at the moment."

Then Seth let out a sigh as he looked at Roman and said, "Yeah, I guess you're right. I would be pretty angry too if I was in Becky's shoes and Laura left without saying goodbye first. I'll try talking to her a bit later once she has calmed down a bit." Dean then looked at both Seth and Roman and frowned a little as he said,

"Becky did have a point though...we didn't even try to stop Laura from leaving, we just...let her go. I don't mean to be downer but...what if Becky is right and Laura doesn't come home or Sasha comes home holding Laura's lifeless body? Becky would be so pissed at us for not stopping Laura from getting herself killed."

Roman then looked at both Seth and Dean as he said to them, "You think that thought hasn't crossed our minds? We can't sit here and think that Laura isn't coming back because she will! She always does no matter what, right now Laura is counting on us to keep her family safe, I'm not ok with Laura going after Chris on her own but...if our time in Racoon City or at Spencer's mansion has taught us anything, then Laura is tougher than she looks, and I know she will come safe and sound with Sasha."

Laura's farther Leon then slowly walked down the stairs, most of his body was still bandaged up from when Chris attacked the house, he coughed a little as he looked a Roman and smiled as he said, "That was one hell of a speech Roman, have you considered joining S.T.A.R.S? 'd reckon you would make a great fit, you all would. but speaking of my daughter...have any of you guys seen her?"

Dean then frowned at Leon a little as he said, "About that Leon, Laura...decided to go after Chris and rescue her fiance Sasha on her own. She said she was going to the B.S.A.A HeadQuarters first to tell Captain Lance about her decision on joining S.T.A.R.S, before looking for any leads as to where Chris may have gone with Sasha. I'm sorry I didn't try and stop your daughter…"

And Leon smiled a little at Dean as he shook his head and replied, "You don't have to apologize Dean, Laura is a lot like her mother Claire, once she has made her mind up on something it is almost impossible to convince her otherwise. and...if Laura is going to the B.S.A.A HeadQuarters before going after Chris then...I know she won't be alone. I imagine it couldn't have been easy for her to leave without saying goodbye."

The B.S.A.A HeadQuarters…

As I parked my mother's truck outside the B.S.A.A HeadQuarters, I took a deep breath as I told myself, "You can do this Laura, you're doing this for Sasha, the love of your life..." before I then unclipped the seatbelt as I exited the truck and walked to the entrance of the building before pushing the doors open and walking inside.

When I walked inside, I saw Jill smiling and waving at me before I then saw Captain Lance and I took a deep breath as I walked over to him and said, "Captain Lance? I...I've made my choice." and Captain Lance smiled at me as he replied,

"Wonderful Laura, come into my office so that you may tell me what your decision is."

So I followed Captain Lance to his office before stepping inside and sat down in one of the chairs as Captain Lance sat behind his desk, I then looked at Captain Lance before I took a deep breath as I said to him, "I have given this a lot of thought, and...this wasn't a easy choice to make. I have decided that...I will gladly join the S.T.A.R.S force sir." and Captain Lance smiled at me from behind his desk as he replied,

"That truly is fantastic to hear Laura, and I'm sure that Jill will be happy to show you the ropes as your partner. First things first, I'll have Jill show you to your office. Welcome to S.T.A.R.S miss Redfield."

I smiled and nodded my head as I said, "Thank you sir, I will do my best." before I then stood up and exited Captain Lance's office, and as I walked out of the office I saw Jill leaning against the wall with a smile on her face as she said to me,

"I'm so happy you decided to join S.T.A.R.S Laura, I think you will do great here!"

And I folded my arms a little as I looked at Jill and said, "How much did you hear?" and Jill looked at me as she replied,

"I'll be honest with you Laura, I didn't hear too much, I just heard that you had decided to join S.T.A.R.S and that you and I were going to be partners."

Then I blushed a little at Jill as I said awkwardly, "This probably feels weird for you Jill, y'know getting a new partner when you used to be partners with Chris for so long." and Jill smiled and shook her head at me a little as she replied,

"Getting new partners comes with the job sometimes, I can't change that." before she then added, "I'm just glad we will be working with each other and that we can get to know each other a little more, come on I'll show you to your office."

So I followed Jill as she lead me up some stairs until we reached a small office room and Jill smiled as she turned to me and said, "Here we are Laura, your new office on the first floor! Why don't you take a look around?" and I smiled slightly back at Jill as I nodded my head as I replied,

"Ok, I guess it would be a good idea to get myself familiar with where I will be working."

Before I then slowly walked inside the room and looked around, the room had a few posters hanging up on the walls, as well as some pictures of what looked like past S.T.A.R.S members before I then reached the desk which had a picture sitting on it, I picked up the picture and some tears almost fell from my face as I saw the picture of my mother and Chris standing next to each other, before I looked back at Jill who was leaning against the door and frowned a little as I said, "This...this is Chris's office. I feel sick standing here, knowing what he has done to both of us."

Jill then let out a small sigh as she looked at me and said, "This used to Chris's office...but now this is YOUR office Laura. I'm not gonna sit here and pretend Chris didn't hurt the both us, what he did probably hurt you more seeing how you were practically family." before she then added, "If you like...we could always decorate this office, that way it feels a little more...you and you don't have to be reminded of how much Chris hurt you."

I shook my head at Jill as I replied, "No it's fine, I'll get over it eventually Jill, my main priority is trying to find where Chris may have taken my fiance Sasha." before I then let out a sigh as I added, "But...I appreciate you trying to make me feel welcome here Jill."

Just then Captain Lance stood by the door of my new office as he smiled slightly and said, "I...I'm not sure if this information will be of any use to you miss Redfield, but...it may be a start and possibly point you in the direction you're looking for. Mr. Winters and Mrs. Winters have a house in europe, Mr. Winters has been receiving military training from Chris, so perhaps you could start there. I truly hope you find what or who you are looking for miss Redfield."

And I let out a heavy sigh as I looked at Captain Lance and replied, "Thank you sir, I will bring Chris down if I have to if our paths cross. And I will see if Mr. Winters and Mrs. Winters can help me with what I am looking for." Jill then looked at me and smiled as she said,

"Guess we are taking a trip to europe then."

Europe…

Myself and Jill decided to go to different areas as to avoid drawing any unwanted attention, I stood outside what I could only assume was the estate that Mr. Winters and Mrs. Winters were staying in, it was freezing as I stood outside in the snow, I knew I should have brought a better winter coat with me I thought to myself before I took a couple of deep breaths and knocked on the door, hoping at least one of the Winters would be home.

The door then soon opened and a woman with long brown hair and hazel colour eyes smiled at me as she said, "Jesus! you must be freezing! here, come inside. I'll get you something warm to drink." I smiled slightly and shivered a little as I replied,

"Thank you."

Before I then followed the woman inside as she closed the door behind me before she looked at me and said, "I'm Mia. Mia Winters. I'll go and make you a Tea or a coffee if you prefer." and I smiled at Mia as I replied,

"I'll have a coffee please." before I then asked, "Is your husband home?" and Mia smiled at me and nodded as she said,

"Of course, I'll just go get him for you then I'll make you some coffee."

Mia then walked down the hall to what looked like a kitchen area as she called out to someone, "Ethan! Honey, there's someone here to see you." before I then heard another voice as they replied,

"Alright, I'll be right there."

After a few minutes a man with short brown hair and blue eyes walked over to me and held out his hand as he said to me, "I'm Ethan. Ethan Winters." before he then asked me, "I don't think I've seen you around before, what's your name? I-if you don't mind me asking?" and I shook my head and smiled a little as I let out a small giggle before shaking Ethan's hand as I replied,

"Not at all, I'm Laura. Laura Redfield. A pleasure to meet you."

Ethan then perked a brow at me as he asked, "Redfield? are you related to Chris at all? Sorry, the name sounds familiar is all." and I shook my head at Ethan as I frowned a little and said,

"No, I...I'm Claire's daughter. In a way I guess you could say I am related to Chris as he is like an uncle to me, or...was like an uncle to me would be the better way to describe things."

Then Ethan looked both shocked and confused at me as he said, "Wow, I had no idea Chris's sister had a daughter. What do mean Chris was like an uncle to you? Did something happen to him?" before I could answer, I heard what sounded like a baby crying and I was trying to hold my own tears in as Ethan looked at me and smiled as he said, "Sorry about that, that's our daughter Rose. I better go and check on her."

As Ethan went to walk away I grabbed him by his arm and smiled slightly to try and hide my own tears as I said to him, "Allow me, I'm good with kids, or at least...hoping I am if I ever have kids of my own." before I then walked over towards the crying child and picked it up in my arms and rocked it a little as I said to the child, "Hey there little one, what's with all the noise huh? Is someone ready for bedtime?"

The baby then looked up at me as it slowly stopped crying as it looked at the small smile on my face, before the baby then slowly started to smile back at me as it made a few cute squeals, and Mia placed a hot mug on the table and smiled as she looked at me holding the baby as she said, "I think someone likes you, Rose isn't this quiet for anyone execpt myself and Ethan." and Ethan smiled and nodded at me as he said,

"Yeah, I think we just found Rose an aunt. Would you mind putting Rose down for us Laura?"

I then looked at Ethan and smiled as I said, "Of course not, it's obvious little Rose loves her aunt Laura, so I'd be happy to put Rose to sleep. We have something to discuss anyway." before I then carried Rose upstairs to her room, and set her down in her cot before I smiled at her and said, "Don't worry Rose, Aunt Laura will protect you...I will protect you even if I couldn't protect someone I cared about." before I then walked out of the room and down the stairs to rejoin Ethan and Mia at the table.

When I got downstairs, I sat at the table with Ethan and his wife when Mia smiled at me and asked, "Did Rose go to sleep ok?" and I took a sip of my coffee before looking back Mia and nodded my head as I replied,

"Yeah, Rose is sleeping soundly like...well like a baby."

Ethan then looked at me as he asked, "So Laura, what brings you all the way out here? does Chris know your here?" and I took a deep breath before I looked at both Ethan and Mia as I replied,

"That's the reason why I am here Ethan, Chris needs to be stopped before anyone else gets hurt. I...I don't have any idea what has gotten into him, he's never acted this way before. You...you wouldn't believe me if I told you but...Chris tried to kill me...and not just me, he tried to kill my friends as well."

Then both Ethan and Mia looked shocked as Ethan looked at me and said, "Chris tried to kill you? Why would he try to kill his sister's daughter?" I then pulled out the bloody diary from the pocket of my jacket as I looked at Ethan and replied,

"Believe me I'm just as shocked and confused as you are Ethan, but...I do know he wants this Diary for whatever reason. Chris also attacked my home and my family and...kidnapped someone I love and care about a lot."

Mia then went to say something before a bullet came flying through the window and hit Mia, Ethan then dragged me under the table as he shouted, "GET DOWN!" as several more bullets came, injuring Mia as she slumped over the table, before some military people burst into the house and Chris pushed the table to oneside as he looked at me and Ethan, the look of distain was clear before he held his gun at Mia as Ethan said in shock, "Chris?"

Chris then looked back Ethan as he coldly replied, "I'm sorry Ethan." before pulling the trigger in his gun as he shot Mia several times, possibly making sure she was dead if she wasn't already from her wounds, I looked on in horror before Chris then turned one of his men as he said, "Take them!" and Soldier nodded his head at Chris as he replied,

"Yes sir!"

As myself and Ethan were being tied up and dragged towards Chris, another soldier came down the stairs holding Ethan's child in his arms as he handed the baby to Chris and said, "Package is secure sir." I couldn't take it anymore as I scowled at Chris and yelled,

"Package? Are you serious Chris! Kidnapping my wife wasn't enough for you? Now you're kidnapping babies? How far is too far Chris? Answer me!"

One of Chris's soldiers scowled at me as they said, "Shut the fuck up!" and I scowled back at the soldier as I retorted,

"You shut the fuck up! Don't give me a reason to make you sterile so you have to explain to your wife why you can't provide her with a child!"

Chris then looked at me as he coldly said, "Laura, no harm has come to Sasha. I have made sure if it. but this is bigger than you. There are forces here that you don't understand." and I scowled at Chris as I spat at him and yelled,

"If you say Sasha is safe, then take me to her Chris! Let Rose go, she's a baby for fuck sake! you're going to mess up this kids life, just like you ruined mine!"

Chris then wiped the spit from his face as he scowled at me and coldly said, "I can't do that Laura, one day you will understand. I would have thought my sister would have raised you better than this." before Chris then looked at his soldiers as he said to them, "Let's move. We're done here." and one of the soldiers looked at Chris and nodded as he replied,

"Yes sir."

Before then both myself and Ethan were hit in the side of the head by the back of some rifles knocking us out cold, the next thing I knew when I came to was that most of my body was hurting and Ethan was dragging me away from the wreckage of the truck, my vision was blurry and I could faintly hear Ethan talking into a radio before it was cut off. Ethan then came back over to me as he said, "Laura? Can you hear me? Are you alright?"

I coughed a little as I looked at Ethan and slowly nodded my head as I replied, "Fuck! I think so Ethan, nothing feels broken at least. What happened?" and Ethan breathed a sigh of relief as he smiled at me and replied,

"I'm not sure, but I think there's a village not that far from here. Maybe we could get some answers as to what is going on, and the where abouts of my daughter and your wife."

I then slowly stood back on my feet and stumbled a little as Ethan held his hand out to support me as he said, "Take it easy, you took quite the bump to the head." and I smiled at Ethan as I replied,

"I'm good, let's move to that Village, hopefully we can find out where your daughter and my wife are being held with any luck. I just hope they are both safe."

Ethan then nodded at me as he said, "Yeah, I hope so too. Let's get out of here for now." and both myself and Ethan then began walking through the snowy forest towards the Village in the distance and I thought to myself, I will find you Rose and Sasha and I will get you both home safe and sound, if it's the last thing I do...
