A few days later

A now recovered Ren Cruz smiled as he stretched under the first lights of the day. He is currently dressed in a pair of black pants tucked into a pair of boots, a sleeveless mandarin shirt that was modified to be stretchable, a pair of fingerless gloves, a scarf around his neck, and a headband.

By his side, his adorable companion, Wahrheit copying him. The white wolf pup was stretching alongside him.

"So, how are we going to do this?" Ren asked, rolling his neck, the 17-year-old looked at the duo of girls in front of him. One of them was a brown-haired
girl with cat ears on top of her head. She wore a white shirt, a maroon skirt, with a pair of cycling shorts, a pair of brown boots and Knee pads, a pair of brown gloves, a belt tied around her waist and from shoulder to waist. Just like him, she wore a scarf around her neck, although hers was green in contrast to his orange. She held a golden spear in her hand.

By her side, a young blonde elf also stretched. She was dressed in a sleeveless shirt, a green bloomer, a pair of green boots, around her waist were a pair of belts crossed to hold her weapons, to top it all off, she wore a green cloak with a flower hood. After finishing her stretches, she pulled her hood up after noticing the look from Ren. Turning around, she made sure to hide her body with her cloak.

"Pervert..." She whispered while drawing her blades. Ren on his part blinked and shrugged. She was more cautious and angry at him ever since he got that fever. She will always turn red before going away from him. Weird.

Sighing, Ren kicked his shield, launching it into his arm before he holstered it on his back, keeping it safe before spinning his spear. To his surprise, Anya had asked to train with him once he recovered.

"Hmm, how about until one of us gives up, Nya?" The catgirl offered as she held her spear.

"Sure, or first blood is drawn," Ren offered as he leaned his spear, Ignia, on his shoulder. It was a first-class weapon made by his mentor that was unbreakable, will grow with him, and will only be used by him.

It was a special weapon that can only be used by Ren Cruz. A weapon with the concepts of 'devouring those it killed', 'Never forgetting the taste,' 'sharing its meal with its master', 'protecting the wielder,' and 'Living as a companion for its wielder',

In short, Ignia is a living weapon that can eat and drink. Enough said.

Wahrheit stood up, standing in front of the young man. It was a cute sight that made Anya and Ryuu stiffen. Despite the pup's currently small size, they knew it was dangerous. Especially when it almost swallowed a level-four adventurer, after he tried to harass Syr. It all happened so fast. He would have been eaten if Mia hasn't noticed Wahrheit.

It took several minutes before the wolf let the man go. In fact, it would have eaten him if it wasn't for Syr asking it to let go. Its owner, Ren Cruz, laughed as he watched what happened while he was drinking. This ended up in him being hit on the head by the dwarf and the two were forced to stand on the gate as guards for the whole week.

It was an eventful week. Ryuu and Ren bantered back and forth a lot. Some of them even escalated to the point that they almost fought. Poor Ren got more tanned than usual making him teased more By Ryuu and for Syr to tease him when he got rejected.

After that week, Mia decided to hire the wolf pup and became the mascot. If Syr was the poster girl, then Wahrheit is the mascot.

"Okay, Nya!" Anya agreed with a smile on her face. Holding her spear, she went on a stance, followed by Ryuu.

Ren, meanwhile, smiled before crouching on the ground into a running start. His smile turning hungry as his legs tensed.

A single leaf danced in the air for several tense moments. It felt like an eternity. The moment the leaf landed on the ground, the three employees kicked off. Anya and Ryuu met in the middle. Ryuu used her blades to block Anya's golden spear.

Instead of meeting them on the clash, Ren jumped up, vaulting over the duo while stabbing his spear several times towards them. He landed on a roll before using his spear's length to keep Ryuu away.

"Not bad for a level three," Ryuu teased before jumping away. Seeing her move, Ren did not hesitate before jumping after her. Sensing someone behind him, Ren ducked, dodging a thrust before grabbing the shaft of the golden spear.

Anya smirked before yelping surprise when Ren grabbed a shaft of her spear. She was rusty after working as a waitress for so long that her reaction time was not as it used to. She felt herself get raised off the ground soar through the sky, hitting Ryuu and sending them skidding a few meters away from where they stood.

"Ow..." Anya moaned out rubbing her head, checking for bumps. She really should start training again.

"Big," Ryuu muttered as she looked at her co-worker in front of her. Coughing, Ryuu immediately kicked off and charged towards Ren, her blades ready to attack. She was faster than him, she knew. Seeing the thrust from the spear heading her way, Ryuu deflected it with the flat of her blade easily and ran towards him.

Ren smirked. Seeing the expression, Ryuu stopped and jumped away only to flinch as she felt her shin get cut lightly.

"Dual-wielding spears," Ryuu announced before sighing. She did not expect that Ren knew how to use two spears at the same time. The golden spearhead of Anya's spear drew blood on the elf's shin easily.

"You took advantage of my surprise and hid Anya's spear. Clever," Ryuu said stoically as she chanted a healing spell to heal herself.

"Of course," Ren spun the spears at the same time and walked towards Anya. Smiling he stabbed her spear in front of her before offering her his hand. Smiling at him, Anya reached out to his hand.

"You're so kind, Rennya," Anya said before pulling him close and wrapped his neck and underarm between her legs, squeezing them tightly while pulling his arm.

"... Triangle choke..." Ren whispered with some pain in his voice. Thinking quickly, Ren charged forward, pushing her upper back deeper to the ground, He smirked when her grip loosed slightly and with a pop, his arm was dislocated making it easy for him to slip out of her hand, push her legs away, slightly enjoying the feeling of her thighs, and kicked her spear away from them.

"You're good, Rennya," Anya said with a grin before she did a kick up and landed on her legs gracefully. She was about to talk again when something hit her face. A boot?

Ryuu watched what happened just a few moments ago. Ren had gone to help Anya, and she was annoyed. especially when Anya pushed his arm towards her breast while wrapping her legs around his neck and underarm. She looked on her chest before letting out a small pout. Seeing him escape by dislocating his arm made her eyes widen. The way he did it was so smooth and clean like he was used to doing it.

It scared the young elf. Ryuu knew they were both alright. Seeing Anya recover and praise Ren, Ryuu was surprised when the young man kicked off the ground and did a push kick on Anya's face, sending her flying into the air. Ryuu saw him let go of his spear catch Anya, coil his legs around her waist wrapping tightly against them, and using his arms to choke Anya. She watched as his grip around her neck and waist tightened before his chest expanded when he reached it.

"Nya!" Anya groaned in pain while trying to escape in a panic. Ryuu saw and knew that it was a bad move. It allowed her throat to be exposed between his upper and lower arm, allowing Ren to choke her harder effortlessly.

"5, 6, 7," Ryuu heard Ren count before she saw Anya get weaker, and a few seconds later, she passed out with drool coming out of her mouth.

"10," Ren said before he let go, and set Anya down. The young waitress was knocked out. Sighing, Ren took her legs and raised them.

"Pervert," Ryuu said, eyeing Ren with a disgusted expression. She went over to Anya to check up on her.

"No, I'm not!" Shooting back, the young man merely smiled as he saw Anya open her eyes. "Morning sleepyhead," He said with a smile before stretching.

"Cheater!" Anya pouted with a glare aimed at the young man.

"All is fair in love and war Anya," Ren smiled at the catgirl. "Well, Mind if I get a taste Ryuu," The young man grew a playful grin and did several hand motions as he got close to the elf.

"No," Turning around, Ryuu walked towards his spear and threw it to him. Ren caught Ignia with a smile and helped Anya up.

"Come on, It'll be great," Smiling the young man approached the elf from behind and slung his arm around her shoulder. Strangely, Ryuu did not react violently, but instead, the elf pushed his arm away.

"I don't speak with perverts," The elf eyed the human with a smirk before picking up the wolf pup. It was not fair!

"It seems like you've been doing well, Ren-Kun," Stopping at the voice, Ren immediately turned around and smiled happily. The voice was calm and serene, yet filled with strength.

"Teacher!" Ren said happily before running towards his teacher.

Turning around, Ryuu's eyes widened. Ren's teacher was a well-muscled young man with a mane of brown hair. He wore sleeveless leather armor and greaves, he dressed like a bowman. Yet, she knew that the amount of strength hidden inside the man was enormous.

"Hello, Ren-Kun," The teacher said, smiling happily while reaching out to ruffle the young man's head. The duo looked like a pair of father and son.

"Sup, Teach? I'm a level three now. Ooh, I also got a contract," The young man did something that shocked the two. Ren smiled from ear to ear, absolutely beaming in happiness.

"That's great," The teacher said with a smile and the two started to talk with each other.

Ryuu and Anya, Ren's co-workers and roommate sighed and pouted, discreetly for Ryuu and Anya hid it by turning away.

They had been trying to get close to the young man ever since he started living in the Hostess. Well, for Ryuu, it was after he helped her, and after she found out it was him who helped her two years ago during the great feud.

"Sensei!" Coming out of the Hostess, Mia Grande smiled happily at the sight of the man before walking towards him proudly.

Hearing the commotion, the rest of the barmaids and the other employees looked at the commotion happening in the backyard.

"What's wrong Chloe?" Lunoire asked the black-haired cat girl who was frozen in shock, fear, and awe. Her tail shot up and she was so nervous and shocked at what she saw.

"Hey, are you alright-" The brown-haired brawler and the black-hair former assassin looked at me of the oldest employee in the Hostess.

"Yes, whatever you're thinking of is correct, Chloe," The chef said with a smile.

"Then that's why," Chloe said, eyes lighting up at the memory of what happened during her attack in the hostess and the way Ren easily pushed them back despite being out leveled. It was mesmerizingly horrifying the way a level three held off a pair of level fours and defeated a group of adventurers easily.

But now, it all made sense to her. Seeing the man's face clearly, Lunoire also froze. Contrary to her co-worker's reaction, her eyes were filled with respect.

"Zeus Familia's former captain. Level nine adventure, Alias Great Sage, Chiron," She whispered in awe.

"That means!" The duo looked at each other,

"Ren is a member,"

"Of Zeus Familia," The duo said at the same time, making the girls look at them. Syr merely smiled at the information before trying to use her 'eyes' at the young man.

Her eyes widened and she almost fainted.

For the moment she opened her eyes t gaze at his soul, she saw the visage of an empire of dragons led by a man of great strength. Dragonic pupilled-eyes gazed at her. The small gaze was enough fr the silver-haired goddess in disguise to be overwhelmed. The message she received was simple, cross me and you will be destroyed.
