"Let me guess", Santana hissed with narrowed eyes after she had shot a fireball at the firewolf "You are a demon as well?"
"Yes, you just guessed that right, succubus", the demon in question answered with a smirk, taking a seat at the bleachers and enjoying the show "I am Blaine's ex and I try everything in my power to win him back."
Quinn glared at him while she rose her hands and created a wall out of mud that protected her from her firewolf's attack "And why do you attack us as well? Why punish us for what the hobbit has done? See, that's why I hate demons."
Sebastian just laughed and leaned back. "My little pets will tear you all to pieces in no time.", he hummed.
"So that's your plan?" Kurt snapped at him and took cover behind one of the chairs. Other than his schoolmates, he didn't have powers that were useful to fight against those hellhounds. "Are you too lazy to fight us yourself?"
The demon just threw him an unimpressed glance. "I just hate dirtying my hands, easy as that."
"Or you are just a wimp, easy as that", Mercedes countered, imitating his tone sneeringly. She was blocking the attacks of a firewolf with her scepter that shimmered golden in the sunlight. That was one of the reasons why Kurt had taken cover at the bleachers as well: Even though the sunlight was weak, he felt how he got weaker, but there was no way the Meerkat may find out about his little weakness.
Luckily, Sebastian was busy glaring at the black Amazon that dared insulting him. "You see, one day, I will be ruling hell, alongside Blaine. And if that day comes, you are all going to pay for that."
"In your dreams, Sebastian", Rachel spat. With that, she stared at her firewolf that froze in midair – but soon melted and broke free from the ice due to him being hot.
Meanwhile, Mike used his vampiric speed to outrun his own opponent while Puck and Sam had turned to their werewolf-forms to be able to fight against their opponents. Brittany used her magic to trap the firewolf with – handcuffs?
"You, my friend, will go to jail now", Brittany said with a grin.
"Britt, do you think this is a good idea?", Santana shouted to her while another firewolf was chasing her.
Brittany nodded eagerly. "That's how we trap people, right?"
"People, not animals."
The blond witch just waved it off happily. "They are all the same I guess."
Kurt didn't quite listen to their conversation as he had bigger fish to fry at the moment. The gap between him and the firewolf got smaller and smaller. He threw the items he found on the ground at the beast's head, such as plastic bottles, paper bags, or beer cans, grateful for the trash people left at their places.
Unfortunately, it didn't seem to help that much. Now, he was almost at the highest row of the bleachers, and he had no idea what to do once the firewolf caught up with him.
"Sebastian!"
Wait…That was Blaine's voice, right? He was down there, watching with horror what was about to happen.
"About time!", Kurt shouted, backing away from the firewolf "What the hell took you so long?"
But much to his disdain, Blaine ignored him. Instead, he came rushing over to Sebastian, crossing his arms. "What do you think you are doing?"
"Eliminating the factors that keep you here in Lima, Anderson", Sebastian answered without missing a beat "This town doesn't do you any good, and I'm the only one who can see it."
"Do you think so?", Kurt shouted from where he was "Because I don't quite agree with you. Lima turns him to a better person, and you don't like it."
Sebastian threw him a killing glance. "That's none of your business, you undead freak!", he yelled at him angrily. "Mind your own business, Gay Face." He nodded at the firewolf that lunged at Kurt.
"No!" Blaine lifted his hands, and due to his telekinesis, the firewolf was unable to move. He slowly moved the wolf away from Kurt and put him down in front of Sebastian. "This ends now, Sebastian", he instructed coldly, not as his friend, but as his prince. "This is no request, that's an order." He sounded authoritarian, just like his dad had taught him. "Withdraw your pets immediately."
With a groan, Sebastian did as he said. He lifted his hands – but the firewolves didn't listen.
"Hey!", he shouted "Go back home, you guys!", he barked, but to no avail. The beasts continued attacking their opponents as if nothing had happened.
Kurt came running over to the two demons. "Why isn't it working?", he wanted to know.
Sebastian shrugged. "Sometimes, they do whatever they want to. As soon as they calmed down, they will stop."
"And when exactly will they calm down?", Blaine asked him sternly.
At that, the other demon just shrugged. "I don't know…in one to two hours?"
"That's too long!", Rachel screeched shrilly, trying to keep away the beast with a water-fountain "We can't hold on one hour, those monsters are way too strong!"
Suddenly, Kurt got an idea. He whistled, and the hellhounds all turned to him with their burning eyes. "Your owner is mad at me only, so why don't you all come chasing me?", he shouted. "According to him, it's only my fault Blaine turned into a softie, right? I'm the bad guy here, so if you want to maul someone, it has to be me."
It seemed to work because the animals all turned away from their current opponents and came storming over to the bleachers, right where Kurt was. So he had no other choice than to turn on his heel and break into a run.
Blaine's eyes widened. "Kurt, what do you think you are doing?", he berated him.
"What does it look like, demon?", was the snappy answer "I'm saving you."
With his superhuman leap, he jumped over three rows of the bleachers, landed on the humid lawn and started running across the field. "It's not as if I could get tired as a zombie", he pointed out "And in two hours, they will be tired of chasing someone undead."
The others had slumped down on the lawn, totally tired out by their fights against the firewolves, Sam and Puck had turned back to their human forms. Just when Kurt has been running for around ten minutes, he started how he got weaker for a reason. But why?
Of course. The sun. The sun was weakening him. He totally forgot about the direct insolation on the sports field.
Dammit.
"You okay, white boy?", Mercedes shouted worriedly. She had gotten up again, the fight against the firewolves had taken its toll on her, as well as on the others as well, they well all tired out.
Blaine was about to raise his hand and stop the firewolves with his powers when Sebastian grabbed his wrists. "Let go of me, Seb!", he protested, outraged. "Kurt needs help!"
"He will be fine", Sebastian said with a flirtatious wink. "How about the two of us leave, I booked us a room at a five-star hotel. I can show you things you dream of at night.", the demon purred. With that, he pressed his lips onto Blaine's.
For some reason, Kurt's chest started aching when he saw that, and due to him being distracted by that kiss, he tripped over a stone he hadn't seen and fell to the ground.
The firewolves all lunged at him at the same time.
Mercedes was about to come to his rescue, scepter in hand, but one of the other firewolves tackled her, and the scepter fell out of her grasp – right to Kurt's direction who caught it reflexively.
When he held the item in his hands, he suddenly felt a weird sensation curse through his body. The firewolves all came closer to him, and for some reason, Kurt knew exactly what to do.
"Don't even think about it", he said threateningly, but of course, those animals wouldn't listen. Just when they came closer, he felt how something build up within him. Something that wanted to be released.
So Kurt did exactly that.
A strong shockwave suddenly hit the firewolves who were thrown in the air like weightless dolls.
Kurt's eyes widened in shock, and he looked down the scepter he was still holding in his hands. The others were blinking at him in bewilderment, and Blaine had jerkily pulled away from Sebastian's kiss.
"What the hell just happened?", Santana wondered, looking at the unconscious firewolves Kurt had all put down at the same time.
"How did you just do that?", Rachel wanted to know, equally stunned.
Kurt shook his head, stunned. "I have no idea."
And Mercedes looked at him, flabbergasted, when Kurt gave the scepter back to her. "That's impossible", the amazon gasped.
"And why?", Sam wanted to know, scratching his head. "Am I the only one who is so confused right now?"
At that, Mercedes put the scepter onto the ground, nodding to Puck. "Come over here, Puckerman. You look like a strong guy."
Puck slowly walked to her with his head cocked to the side. "Okay, and now what?"
"Pick up the scepter", Mercedes demanded.
"That's all?" Puck laughed. "You are kidding me, right?"
"Just do it, Puckerman!", the amazon barked, and the werewolf lifted his hands in surrender. "Okay, okay…" He bent down to pick the item up - but wasn't successful.
"The fuck?", he exclaimed, wiping his forehead, and trying again. "That thing is way too heavy! As if it weighed more than thousands of trucks."
"Exactly", Mercedes nodded, pensively looking over to Kurt. "Only amazons are able to lift up the scepter of Themyscira, let alone fight with it."
"So that thing is basically like the weapon of Thor?", Sam wondered.
Mercedes nodded slowly and walked over to Puck, lifting the scepter with ease -and throwing it over to Kurt who caught it without thinking. His eyes widened in shock.
"But…why was I able to do so?", Kurt wanted to know, looking down the weapon in his hands.
"That's the one-million-dollar question", Quinn said with a frown. "You are no amazon and you aren't female, either. And as far as we know, male amazons do not exist."
Tina cocked her head to the side quizzically. "But what the hell are you, then?"
At that, Kurt just shrugged helplessly. Until now, he had been convinced that he was a zombie, but now, he wasn't so sure about that anymore.
Blaine cleared his throat loudly. "No offence, guys, as interesting as this topic is, we can't just stand here with a dozen firewolves lying around." He threw Sebastian a stern glance. "How about you clean up the mess now, Seb?"
The other demon sighed deeply. "Okay." He lifted his hands to make them all disappear all at once– and froze.
"Sebastian?", Blaine asked him. "Hey, what's wrong? I know that glance so don't even think about lying to me."
"The hellhounds…" Sebastian looked at him, having paled all of a sudden. "I have ten of them. But there are only nine lying in front of us. So one firewolf must be …" He looked around. "in the school building, probably ."
"What?!" Kurt immediately forgot about his identity problem when something else occurred to him, and his eyes widened. "Finn is still in there. Alone."
