Chapter 8: Jobs requests are like Commissions
The Mondstadt crew sat around their table relaxing till they had to go to their job. They were curious about what this job would entail. There was an air of excitement and nervousness around the Mondstadts table. Viox sighed laying her head on her arms on the table. "What's wrong, lovebug?" Kaeya whispered in her ear. Viox turned her head towards Kaeya. "Just wondering what jobs are gonna be like in this world." Viox answered. Kaeya nodded his head in understanding, "I'm sure they will be like commissions" He said, placing his hand on her head. She just blinked at him with a 'are you serious face'. "What's with that look?" He asked playfully as Viox groaned again, "You realize I've never been on a commission?" She pointed out as Kaeya paused, "I see...but you have some knowledge in the subject." He said as Viox shrugged and sat up, "I only know some of the work Commissions do, I'm not sure what entails the work environment or experience. Mostly, I only know about the main Commissions that the Dawn Winery sends out, like the supply balloons from our stores." She explained as Natsu slid into a seat beside her, his face read a natural curiosity, "Are you talking about your jobs?" He asked as Viox nodded, "Yes, see I've never been on one due to I do not possess a Vision." She said pointing at Kaeya's hip for example. Natsu blinked, "So you have no magic at all? You're a Non Magic Folk?*" he stated as Viox nodded, "See i haven't been blessed by the Gods, nor will I ever be." She said as Natsu made a face, "Well that shouldn't be a problem with you working at Pops dinner, he has some great food there." He stated as Viox leaned away from him drooling all over the table, "Well that's good at least." She said as Violet frowned, reading over the flyer, "Problem there sister of mine." Violet said looking over at her pink haired sibling, "You don't have any powers and this is a Wizard type kitchen it appears. So Kaeya and Diluc and I can work the Kitchen pretty easily, but you are mostly Waitress staffing." She said handing Viox the flyer, who froze. Kaeya and Diluc looked at the slowly going pale woman who was staring at the parchment paper with shock. "WHY ARE THESE OUTFITS-"
Hours later the crew of Mondstadt were happily working, well most of them were happy.
Viox frowned heavily as she tried tugging the tight fitted bright orange dress down to cover some of her thighs, as Kaeya was practically drooling mentally over the orange dress on Viox's form. He was wearing a simple bright orange and white chef outfit with his hair mostly tied back to keep it out of the hot dishes pouring from the kitchen. Turns out Viox as a Waitress, was a large hit to the business. Men and Women alike were rushing over to see the pink hair woman in the tight outfit, waiting to be graced with her presence. The outfit didn't do the woman justice. Viox was already a petite woman, with very little chest area, but in the outfit it caused her chest to show up more, as well as her hips, knee high white socks and black shoes tied it together, but Violet had the idea to brush her sister's wavy hair into two low ponytails. To say the crew was wild, was an understatement. Violet peered at her sister from the Kitchen window, "You're doing great!" She called, as Viox still looked gloomy. Violet was lucky to work in the back, but Viox was jealous of how her sister's body looked in the same outfit as hers. The dress seemed shorter on the large chested twin, as her hips were a bit wider than Viox's. Violet was simply perfection within the bright orange dress and knee high socks. Viox was more surprised Diluc wasn't taking notice of his soon to be wife's uniform, then again, who knows what the man was thinking behind his straight face mask.
Viox leaned in to look at the red haired man, who seemed to be wiping at his nose a little. Her eyes widened, Mr. DILUC RAGNVINDR HAD A NOSEBLEED! she smirked, "Violet, go help your lover. His nose started bleeding!" She called as Kaeya gave Viox some more dishes to serve as Violet rushed over to Diluc. "Are you alright?" She asked as Diluc looked at the floor, "Yes yes, I'll be fine." He replied tightly, clearing his throat. "Are you sure?" Violet asked, leaning down as Diluc flushed and closed his eyes, his mind was racing as he felt her breath flutter on his face, "You seem pretty red." She said as Diluc cleared his throat again, before standing up and taking Violet by the hand, "We're taking a break!" He called out as he dragged a shocked Violet out of the kitchens. Kaeya chuckled as Viox came back, "Where did they go?" She asked as Kaeya smirked, "Love, do you want to know?" He replied as Viox's face heated up, "NO!" she squeaked out as Kaeya gave her more food to serve, "Trust me Darling, I'll show you later." He winked at her as she rushed off, her face was colored a deep red.
As the night rolled in, the crew of Mondstadt took a moment to sit down at a table to have a bite to eat and drink. Violet chuckled a little as the group looked at her. She smiled at all of them, "This is relaxing, for the first time in years, everything is calm." She said as Viox smiled at her sister, "I agree, no rushing around to get the, Mora counted and organized, documents filed, writing paychecks." She said as Kaeya kissed Viox's temple gently, "No Jean and Lisa barking orders every minute." He continued as Diluc took a drink of water, "It's odd although we are calm and relaxed, how much time has passed in our world. How is the Winery? Has our friends passed on? If so, what does Mondstadt look like now?" He asked looking into the water in his glass, his deep red eyes peered back at him as he looked up when a hand gently touched his knee, he looked over at Violet's worried eyes as he gave her a warm smile, something rare with Diluc as Violet smiled back. Kaeya held Viox's hand, letting the other two have their moment. "You know, what if no time has passed?" He said as Diluc sighed through his nose lightly, "I believe time runs differently through each world, so maybe a minute in our world is months here. We may not know this." Diluc said as Kaeya shrugged, "The only way to find out is to get back home." He said as Viox let out a yawn and stretched her arms above her head. "Tired Love?" Kaeha asked as Viox nodded, "All this talk about our world and all that dark stuff is tiring, as well as it is passed my normal sleep time. Staying with me tonight Kaeya?" She asked standing up, letting her courted follow suit, "Yes over at Miss Lucy's apartment correct?" He commented as Viox nodded. "I'll let her know that you'll be with Diluc tonight Violet." Viox said towards her sister, who had been oddly quiet while they talked. Violet nodded in response as Kaeya and Viox left.
"You've been quiet." Diluc commented softly as Violet perked up at his remark, "It's just a lot to take in." She said softly, as Diluc looked at his betrothed, "I see, do you want to discuss it?" He asked as Violet shook her head, "If anything, I'd like to forget it, it's hard being gone from our friends and Mondstadt, but is it really all that bad? What if it's for the best we came here?" She said gently as Diluc smiled at her, "You're over thinking. Let us head over to Mr. Gray's apartment." He said, gathering his coat and carefully covering the skimpily dressed woman, "We're also taking off that outfit when we get there." He commented, clearing his throat as Violet flushed a red scarlet. She felt the push of memories that happened in the supply closet during lunch rush.
"Still thinking about it, Love?" Diluc leaned in close to Violet's ear and growled lowly, causing the other to shiver lightly, even though the thick jacket covering her body was warm, she let out a small hushed noise of surprise as Diluc nipped Violet's neck gently, letting his teeth make some contact with her pale flesh, "Good, maybe if you listen on the walk home, I can teach you some more manners." He whispered softly as Violet bit her lip, she wanted the man once more, as she felt his hand grip her hip gently but firm. He knew that was her weakness, she almost fell to the diner floor, her insides were on fire with need as Diluc pulled away from her form, "Patience Love, we can't do anything here." He said softly as his red eyes roamed over the woman's body, drinking in how gorgeous she was in his jacket. If they didn't get to Mr. Gray's apartment now, he might have to pull her into a back alley like they did in Mondstadt a few weeks ago, it was a heat of the moment but it was thrilling for the couple. Violet smirked, she knew this was his game of cat and mouse, and she was ready for this challenge. "Whoever gets to the apartment first, gets to tie the other up." She said as she took off towards the apartment building in the distance. Diluc smirked as he watched her go, "Challenge accepted Love." He replied as he stood back, allowing the woman to take a good head start, after a year together, she still thought he speed was something to laugh at, he watched her back almost disappeared, before he took off in a dash. This was going to be fun.
