"Holy shit look at this fuckin place." Said, Angel.
"It looks fancy as shit." Said Husker.
"You two especially need to control yourselves, this isn't just some ordinary building in Hell, it's the fucking Kingdom," Vaggie said.
"Jesus Christ mom we fucking know that," Angel said sarcastically.
The limo pulled up to the front gates of the building. There were two guards at the gates, both holding large shields and spears. They of course recognized the Princess and opened the gates with a bow.
"Princess I must ask, but who are these individuals that accompany you?" One of the guards asked as they were hesitant to let just anyone in the Kingdom.
"Oh, these are my friends from my hotel. Don't worry, they will cause no harm or destruction and can be trusted." Charlie said with a smile.
"If you say, Ms. Magne." The guard responded as he moved out of the way allowing them to walk up to the main entrance.
It was around a 50-foot walk to get to the main doors of the Kingdom. They were quite big and made of wood. When the group walked up to the doors, it was opened for them and a man stepped out and greeted them.
"Ahhh, Charlotte, my it has been a while since I have seen you." The demon said as it was clear that he was one of the servants.
"Hello Bertrum. It has definitely been a while." Charlie responded.
"I hope this is not too intrusive but, is there any specific reason that you have returned to the castle?" Bertrum asked.
"I have to come to talk with my dad, and I was hoping you could take me to him," Charlie said.
"Oh, but of course Charlie, he is in his studies at the moment. If you would follow me, I can take all of you to him." He said while waving his hand, motioning them to follow him.
So, they did just that. The inside was very fancy. There were marble white columns everywhere with paintings and pictures on the walls. There was a lot of expensive furniture displayed in the main hall.
"Damn, imagine spending every day in this place," Angel whispered to Husk.
"Little too fucking fancy for my liking."
As they walked up a big set of stairs, Vaggie wanted to discuss some things with Charlie before they actually came face-to-face with the King.
"Are you fully prepared for this Charlie?" Vaggie asked.
"I kinda have to be at this point." She said with a nervous chuckle.
"Also are you sure you want all of them to be here for this? Especially Angel!" Vaggie asked.
"Well, they are all kind of..." She paused for a moment while trying to think of a good way to describe them all, "Free-spirited. I do not think we could stop them from barging in."
"While that is true. I will do my best to make sure they stay out, I don't want them fucking this up for you," Vaggie said.
"I feel like even they have to know not to do anything to wrong the ruler of Hell," Charlie said.
"We can only hope," Vaggie said as they reached Lucifer's studies.
"He should be right in their Miss Charlie," Bertrum said.
"Thank you Bertrum," Charlie said as he walked down the stairs.
Charlie stood at the door for a moment deciding what her first words should be.
"I believe Charlie should be the only one to enter, as it is her father," Vaggie said.
"I honestly have to agree with you there my dear," Alastor said.
Charlie then decided to knock on the door as she heard a voice from the inside say,
"Come in."
Charlie then opened the door and walked in. She saw her father writing something as she closed the door.
"H-hey, dad." Charlie spoke.
Lucifer's attention then shot up as he was taken back by that, as he had no idea the person knocking was his literal daughter.
"Charlotte? My word I did not think you would be the one responsible for the knock at the door."
"Yeah. I have come back because I wanted to talk to you." Charlie said.
"Well, you have my attention." He said while placing down his writing utensil.
"L-look dad, I know you probably still disapprove of what I'm doing with the hotel and all, but you still won't change my mind about stopping this. And you still may see me as a mere disappointment to the family throne. But I still do care about this place and the people in it. This is my home after all." Charlie said.
Lucifer folded his arms as he really listened to what Charlie was saying.
"Dad, you've been there for me my whole life, I can't just keep avoiding you. It pains me to do so. And if you still are mad at me then fine, whatever. But I don't want this to continue between us. It's been a whole damn year since I've seen you."
Lucifer said nothing as he pushed out his seat and stood up to be eye-to-eye with his daughter. Charlie watched as he looked at her with a stern glare. She started to grow nervous as she thought he would start to shout at her. But he didn't. He let out a sigh before beginning.
"This has been something I have been wanting to get off my chest for an extremely long time now. So here it is. I'm sorry Charlotte. I regret how I acted upon you when you presented this idea to me. No matter what I said, I never could see you as a disappointment. And while I still do not agree with this idea, I have come to live with it." Lucifer said.
Charlie was in a complete state of shock, she could not believe what she was hearing. She in no way expected this talk to go this way. Before she could say anything, she could tell her father was beginning to speak again.
"You and your mother are the two most important people in my life. I wish I told you this sooner rather than you having to come to me." Lucifer said.
"I... I don't even know what to say, dad." And Charlie couldn't think of anything to say. So, as most people know, actions speak louder than words. She then decided to rush over to her dad and wrap him up in a very tight hug, and she hadn't been able to do so in over a year. Lucifer then returned the hug and they both stood there in each other's arms for what seemed like minutes. That is until Lucifer started to hear the sounds of voices coming from outside the door.
"Did you bring others to the castle?" He asked.
"Oh yes!" She said with excitement. "These are some of the people who work at the hotel with me, they are my good friends. Do you want to meet them?"
"Sure, why not." He spoke.
Charlie, with a big smile on her face, rushed over to the door and opened it for her friends to come in.
"Damn the devil in the flesh," Angel said when he first laid eyes on him.
"That is correct," Lucifer said with his hands behind his back.
"Angel, could you try to not be you for ten minutes?" Vaggie said while following Charlie.
"I doubt he could manage that." Husk said.
"So, Charlotte, care to introduce me to all of these individuals," Lucifer said.
"Oh, of course. This is my girlfriend Vaggie." As she pointed at her.
"Oh, well I did not know you were into women," Lucifer said as the last person she dated was Seviathan von Eldritch, the brother of the wealthy Helsa von Eldritch.
"Yeah, she swings both ways now," Angel said while receiving an elbow to his chest by Vaggie.
"The man currently groaning in pain is Angel Dust," Charlie said.
"Hmph, I feel like I've heard of your name before," Lucifer said.
"A fan of my work?" Angel said while groaning.
"I do not know what your work is, so no," Lucifer said.
"Swing and a miss." Said Husk.
"That's Husk," Charlie said.
"Quite the characters," Lucifer said before hearing a familiar voice call out to him.
"LUCIFER IT IS GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN," Alastor said as Nifty walked in with him.
"The Radio Demon? What the Hell are you doing here?" Lucifer asked.
"Well, it is good to see you too," Alastor said while twirling around his cane.
"Dad, before you freak out, Alastor has been a big help to the hotel over the past year. After I presented it on channel 666, he came to me and wanted to help." Charlie said.
"That is something I would never expect the Radio Demon to ever take part in," Lucifer said.
"Oh Luci, surely you would know what it's like to be extremely bored, and wanting to spice things up," Alastor said with a grin.
"Yes, but we are very different," Lucifer said.
"Well, since you already know Al, the smaller demon next to him is Nifty," Charlie said.
"HI MR. LUCIFER SIR." Nifty said in excitement.
"Why Hello, uh, Nifty was it?" Lucifer said.
"That's right!" She said.
"Hmph, quite the group you have assembled Charlie," Lucifer said.
But then multiple voices were shouting and running up the steps toward Lucifer's study.
"LORD LUCIFER, LORD LUCIFER." They shouted.
"What is it now?" He asked.
"YOUR PRESENCE IS REQUIRED AT THE GATES AT ONCE.," one of them said.
"For what reason?" He asked.
"THE MAN, HE'S... HE'S HERE." He spoke.
Lucifer did not expect this at all, he then pushed his way past the group of demons in the room and quickly followed the two guards down the stairs.
"No fucking way, that big ass dude is here?" Angel said.
"It would seem so." Said Vaggie.
"We must follow him; I want to see the glory from the front row," Alastor said.
The group of demons then proceeded to follow the King to the front gates.
Outside of the Kingdom of Hell
"BACK AWAY FROM THE GATES THIS MOMENT OR FACE THE CONSEQUENCES." Shouted one of the guards, as every guard near the Castle all had their weapons drawn on the huge man that stood before them holding a shotgun. Of course, the Slayer would not comply. He would in no way shape or form take orders from a demon.
"I AM GIVING YOU ONE CHANCE TO DROP YOUR WEAPON AND SURRENDER." As one of the guards now moved toward the Slayer pointing his spear at him.
The Slayer quickly snatched it right out of the guard's hand and snapped it in two. Throwing the two pieces aside, he walked toward the guard who now had a look of fear on his face. He then unleashed a powerful kick to the guard's chest, sending him flying back and hitting the ground with a loud thud.
This sent a bit of panic between the guards as they all grouped up into formation as they could tell this man was very strong and would not go down easily.
"I regret to inform you but the Slayer will not leave until his mission is complete. He needs to speak with the King of this realm. And this is not a matter of yes or no." VEGA informed them.
"YOU WILL NOT GAIN ACCESS INSIDE THIS KINGDOM. YOU ARE A THREAT TO THE KING AND YOU WILL BE PUT DOWN IF YOU DO NOT SURRENDER." A different guard shouted.
"You are welcome to try," VEGA said as the Slayer loaded two new shells into his shotgun.
"ENOUGH," Lucifer shouted as he made his way toward the gates. It seemed as Lucifer was starting to take on his true form, as horns grew from his head and huge wings sprouted from his back.
Lucifer could now see every single feature of the man as he stared right back at him.
Lucifer then spoke to the man, "Why are you here?"
The Slayer nor VEGA would respond to him, the Slayer just continued to study him with his eyes.
"I asked you a question, now WHY ARE YOU HERE?" Lucifer said while raising the tone of his voice.
The others watched from a distance. Charlie was concerned, to say the least. She never saw this side of her dad before, she didn't know what to think.
"The Slayer is here to speak with the King of this realm. Which by the looks of things, is you." VEGA finally answered.
"I am indeed the Ruler of Hell. For what reason do you need to speak with me. And your answer better be good, because right now you attacked one of my guards, and are intruding on my home." Lucifer said with a stern look.
"The Slayer has questions that are needed to be answered. We were told to come to you for these answers." VEGA said.
"First off, why the hell do you refer to yourself in the third person. And you said "we", is there another being that we should be worried about?" Lucifer asked.
"I am not the Slayer. The voice your hearing belongs to me, VEGA, an artificial intelligence bestowed upon the Slayer to assist him when need be." VEGA answered.
"If you are a voice coming from this stranger's suit, then shut up and let him speak for himself," Lucifer demanded.
"Unfortunately, you will get no response from the Slayer himself," VEGA said
"Why is that?" Lucifer asked.
"The Slayer does not speak," VEGA said.
"He doesn't speak? How can someone just not speak? Does he not know what we are saying to him?" Lucifer said.
"Oh no, the Slayer completely knows the English language, he just refuses to speak," VEGA said
"For what reason," Lucifer asked.
"That is something I will not share with you, as you are a stranger to the Slayer and he doesn't want me to share anything important with you," VEGA said.
"As it stands, you a human man somehow found his way into my circle, killed hundreds of Exterminators, have been scaring the shit out of everyone here, and now are at my doorstep with a loaded firearm in your hand. And your only reason for being here is to ask me questions?" Lucifer said.
"That is correct," VEGA said.
"For what reason should I even allow you to ask me questions?" Lucifer said.
"It seems to be your best course of action. The Slayer, once given a mission, will stop at nothing to complete said mission. It would save countless lives, as well as damage if you just agree to speak with the Slayer, as I can only guess that you have questions as well." VEGA said.
VEGA made a very solid point; Lucifer has had questions from the start. He has been trying to dig up information about this individual since the beginning but found nothing.
"Alright, fine. You and I may speak with one another, but no more than that. But you try anything and I will tear you limb from limb" Lucifer said.
"Threatening the Slayer is not the greatest of ideas. He has killed beings bigger than you before." VEGA said.
Lucifer took that into consideration but said nothing in return. He just motioned for the guards to let him pass. They all made a path for him to walk through, but they all kept their shields and spears at the ready. But if a fight did break out their weapons would do nothing to the Slayer. Lucifer then turned around and began to walk toward a room that he typically held meetings in with other overlords. Passing the group from the Happy hotel who had just been in complete silence throughout the entire exchange.
As they all stood in silence, they immediately heard the booming footsteps of the Slayer and they all watched as he walked past him. His head turned to look at them. All of them were in a way concerned. Except for one "strawberry pimp" who still had big ass smile on his face. After the Slayer walked by, the guards followed as they didn't want this man in a room alone with Lucifer in case, he tried something. But then again could they really do anything if he did try to kill Lucifer? Hell no.
After that, they watched as Lucifer and The Slayer were completely out of sight, and the doors to the room completely shut.
….
…..
…..
It felt like everything fell silent at that moment. But of course, Angel would be the one to break the silence.
"God fucking damn. That shit was intense."
"The first time I'd seen the King act like that." Husk said.
"I have only seen Lucifer act that way a few times, but that was entertaining," Said Alastor.
"Can we all just focus on the fact that we were just face to face with that mammoth," Vaggie said.
"That dude was fucking enormous up close, I didn't think he would be that big." Husk said.
"I did and for my sake, he did not disappoint," Angel said.
"Not a good time for your sexual fantasies," Vaggie said.
"With you, I don't think there's ever a good time," Angel said.
"I'm just worried what will happen in there, that guy seems like no joke," Charlie said.
"Oh, I'm sure old Luci will be fine. Like that robot said he just wanted to talk." Alastor said.
"Oh, yeah I forgot that the dude has a freaking robot talk for him." Husk said.
"Maybe he was involved in some freak accident that permanently damaged his vocal cords," Nifty said.
"I wouldn't rule that out as a possibility," Angel said.
"Charlotte?" A voice from a woman called out. As they turned their attention to the voice it came from Lilith, Charlie's mother.
"Mom," Charlie said as she rushed over to her.
The gang followed behind as the two of them exchanged a hug as well.
"I didn't know you were coming dear," Lilith said.
"It was kind of an unexpected visit, I just wanted to see you all again," Charlie said.
"I was hoping you would. Your father has been wanting to speak to you." Lilith said.
"I did speak with him, and everything seems to be good between us," Charlie said with a smile.
"Oh, that's wonderful honey, it makes me glad to know you two are in good spirits again," Lilith said.
"Yeah," Charlie responded.
Lilith then looked beyond Charlie at the demons watching them.
"Who are all of these demons?" Lilith asked.
"These are all my friends from the hotel."
"Oh well, it's a pleasure to meet you all. I am also surprised to see the Radio Demon with you as well." Lilith said with a nod.
"That seems to be a common reaction," Alastor said with a laugh.
From the others, she got a collection of nods and waves back. Lilith then looked around for her husband.
"Have you seen your father? I went to look for him in his studies until I was hearing a lot of commotion coming from outside." Lilith asked.
"He is currently meeting with that sexy ass freak of nature from the news," Angel said.
"The fuck Angel?" Vaggie said.
"Okay, not how I would have said it, but Angel is right," Charlie said.
"Wait, that man is in the castle right now?" Lilith said as she was growing with concern.
"Afraid so mom. He showed up demanding that he speak with dad." Charlie said.
"I don't like that one bit. That man seems incredibly dangerous." Lilith said.
"Ain't that the fucking truth." Said Husk.
"Lucifer didn't seem too friendly to the man when they first met. He even threatened him." Vaggie said.
"That's Lucifer's damn pride getting the way. If anyone powerful arrives, he takes offense like they're a threat to him." Lilith said.
"Oh, I know exactly what you mean dear, Lilith," Alastor said.
"I wish we could hear what the hell they are talking about," Angel said.
"Alastor, can't you just send in one of your shadows to listen in on the conversation?" Asked Husk.
"I could indeed, but where's the fun in that. It's more of a mystery that way." Alastor said.
"You can be so damn annoying." Husk said with a grumble.
"Oh, all in good fun my feline friend." Said Alastor as he started to pet Husker like a typical cat. Which of course resulted in Husker slapping his hand away.
"I'm sorry that you had to witness that. It was a rather unfortunate arrival." Bertrum said as he had now walked over to them.
"There's no need to apologize Bertrum, you couldn't have predicted that to happen," Charlie said.
"Well, if you all plan on staying, I can have the rest of the servants prepare drinks and food for all of you," Bertrum said.
"I'm down with that idea," Angel said.
"Same here." Said Husk.
"That might be for the best, as I do not know how long that meeting between the two of them will take," Charlie said.
They all followed Bertrum into the dining hall. The table seemed big enough to fit multiple families.
"WOAHH, it's so beautiful," Nifty said.
They all took their seats around the table as they decided to wait out the apparent "storm" that was passing over them.
